SpringHill Suites Providence West Warwick

Called ahead from two hours away to verify the hot tub and pool were both operating and was told they were, so booked our night once confirmed as these were important to us. Literally as we arrived for check-in the hot tub was taken offline due to some form of contamination and was told it would be 48 hours before usable again. Not the staff’s fault of course but a disappointment nonetheless. Strike one. They emphasized the pool was still available, which it was. However, as we and the grandkids soon discovered it was freezing cold. Strike two. There also were no towels available at times as the staff seemed to have difficulty keeping up with demand (to be fair the pool was packed as it is a school vacation week). Still, another inconvenience to have no towel when emerging from a freezing pool. The room itself was fine for the most part and it was perfect, so we thought, that it had TWO TVs. Great, one for us and one the kids can watch we thought. Except that only one appeared to be working. Strike three. I wasn’t going to have maintenance or someone from the desk come up to look at it at 930 at night but I will let them know for the next guests’ benefit. Overall, not the experience we had hoped for considering the price paid!

We stayed 5 days 4 night . We liked this hotel . Pool hours were good . Food wasn’t bad . Staff was excellent. Definitely would recommend this to family and friends .

Everything was great, except the hot tub seemed to have way too many chemicals, it burned my eyes to just stand on the side of the hot tub (which was disappointing since the hot tub was a big point to why we chose this hotel)

Took the family for an overnight stay to get out of the house and enjoy the pool. The pool area could be cleaner…trash overflowing and hair in the corners of the hot tub area from one day to the next….so clearly not cleaned overnight. Hot tub not very hot either . Room was fine no complaints

Pool & hot tub very clean. We spent 2 hours then another hour later and were the only ones using it. Nice breakfast too. Very quiet, great bed. Highly recommend!

The room was nice, newly renovated. Swimming pool. Comfy bed and pillows. Shower with great water pressure was fantastic! Safety concern: The elevator doors do not have an automatic open if something or somebody is in the way of doors closing. Could be a hazard for children. Issue with key cards, but quickly resolved. Breakfast was nice with Belgian Waffle maker!

The Staff was excellent in their service and assistance whenever we had an issue or a question, the cleaning staff was also very helpful and friendly. The hotel had an elevator issue but it never hindered the flow of persons staying there, will return to this location anytime.

Great service, very clean, great breakfast only thing the hot tub wasn’t available but was on which I was a little disappointed but other than that would definitely recommend this place.

Was all good. Except pool was very cold

At the time of my stay I purposely booked here for the pool and sauna. When we arrived the sauna wasn’t working so the pool was closed

Staff was friendly, welcoming, and informative. everything was clean.

The staff at this property was friendly so this is not a reflection of our interactions with them. However, this property is in desperate need of some updates as the facilities are worn down beyond repair. The entire hotel smells of must and mildew, particularly in the rooms themselves. There are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms of the rooms (which likely contributes to this problem) which made the room quite uncomfortable when we showered. Also In our room the ceiling was peeling and pieces fell on us during our sleep. Most concerning, I booked a room for another relative who needed ADA accommodations and upon check-in, she was told they did not have one. We were not onsite for a long period of time but if we had been in town for a second night, I would have asked for a refund and to switch hotels.

The rooms were large and comfortable to move around. Surfaces were dusty and the couches were full of stains. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely disgusting, the eggs were soupy,sausage looked and tasted like plastic and the coffee was equivalent to toilet water. The really need to step it up.

Room was dirtier than expected. No conditioner in bathroom. One remote only worked for the televisions. The floor was rather loud & overall the hallways were dirty and littered with random trash that staff has walked past multiple times and avoided. Breakfast was mediocre. They charged me twice, once through hotels.com and then the new lady at the hotel charged my card again. So now I’m waiting on a refund. Pool/hot tub was closed when we when to use in AM and was closed until checkout time. It was a stay I would rather have not had to be stuck with. It was like a 3/10.

Terrible hotel for a chain. Not hot water that the staff knew about and did nothing about. Moldy smell in room. Hair in sink. Toilet didn’t flush.

Room was dirty and smelled like smoke, the bathroom wall had a nasty stain that looked fresh, there were candy wrappers stashed by the bed and the fire alarm was covered with a sock for whatever reason, the heater/ac was broken and there was a huge crack on the bathroom ceiling

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered my room. It was neat. It was welcoming, and it felt spacious.

Pros: The rooms are actually really nice. Bed, small living room, walk in shower. It’s perfect for people who want space. Staff was always welcoming and nice to talk to. Cons: Breakfast was about 7/10. Housekeeping knocking and coming in despite’s the do not disturb sign. Loud Ac/Heater.

The room we were in needs some small maintenance like the sink squirts out sideways, and there is hardly any light over the sink (outside the toilet/shower stall) but everything else seemed to work fine. Nice to have a closing door and not a barn door at the toilet area for privacy. Stayed during a cheer conference and there were girls literally screaming outside our room and running up and down the hall upstairs from us, but they stopped after about 10pm so we were able to sleep.

Great property and service. Our room was cleaned daily and looked great and was very comfortable. Lighting near the bathroom sink could be improved. Loved proximity to shopping as we were buying things to move my daughter into college. Thank you!

This is a good location, close to lots of shops and places to eat but a little off the main roads to be quiet. I had a really comfortable room and slept great which is the best you can hope for on a business trip. Staff is really nice.

The room doors are very heavy and slam shut. Seems like a safety hazard. Otherwise a comfortable stay

We found all of the front desk clerks to be very friendly and accommodating. Their breakfast bar was excellent and one particular young man who managed it for several days was exceptional, accommodating efficient, and very pleasant.

When I arrived, they informed me that they had overbooked the property and they did not have a room for me. There was no communication about this before I arrived. They said the property across the street (Comfort Suites) had vacancy, but they only had king beds available and we were a party of 5. Ended up paying double the price at a downtown hotel. I knew better than to use a Third-Party booking, but I have definitely learned my lesson.

The hotel itself was okay but the guests in the room above ours decided to have a party until 2 am. They were playing loud music and had who knows how many people in there talking loudly. I tried to ignore the noise but after a few hours of their inconsiderate revelry, I called the front desk to complain. Just placing the call itself was a problem because the directions on the phone to call the front desk did not work. I had to look up the hotel number and call it like it was an outside call. The lady at the front desk was a bit curt about the complaint as she said that she would try to do what she could with the fact that she was the only employee on the property. I don't know if she was able to do anything or if the party just wound down on its own shorty thereafter.

The staff from the top down are professionals. Even with multiple teen ball teams and their families staying on site, the hotel funtioned like a well oiled machine.

Ok location

I booked this hotel because it was about half hours drive from Newport for the Jazz Festival. It was close to conveniences like a fast food place (I arrived late for checkin so this was a great find.) There was also a gas station very near by and I was able to refill and hit the road quickly to arrive in Newport. The staff was kind and professional. The hotel was quiet, clean, and the beds super comfortable. Breakfast began at 6 am, which was early enough for me to eat before check out as I had to leave early morning. I had a great stay!

Taylar Labree was on shift when we checked in! She was friendly, knowledgeable of the area, just all around lovely! She went above and beyond and put together little snack bags for all of us for my daughter’s Bachelorette weekend! Breakfast was delicious and kept full throughout the scheduled time!!
