Sleep Inn Beaufort near MCAS

Air in the room was stuffy, AC cooled but didn't dehumidify correctly. Ice maker broken - ice was available in a communal cooler with a large spoon for the two days we were there.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Planning to use the for another stay. We love Hunting Island and the drive is not bad. Loved the breakfast. The only thing that could’ve been a little better was the parking lot. We had to park on the side in the grass even though the lady told us we wouldn’t get towed that was a little worrisome.

On the 1st night, one of the staff started knocking on the door at 12:30am, and then opened it whiles we were in it. The next morning they were loud and banging on other doors they were servicing. Guest kept trying to open our door. When you walk in the air smells a little off. The bathroom had a sliding wood door that didnt lock and the shower itself was not cleaned completely. The spreads on the beds had a few stains covered by the decorative cover. There was an open back of bologna in the microwave, not ours. The trashbins and bag could be bigger if theyre not gonna check the rooms, you have to ask for service. So I wish they would provide extra bags and toiletries in the room just in case. The pool is outside, I wasn’t sure from the website. For $200, it would have been nice if it was cleaner. I know others hsve stayed in in before us, but it shouldn't seem that way.

We only had two small towels for two nights. Very limited breakfast choices, ice machine on the second floor was not working.

I booked two nights at the Sleep Inn Beaufort to take a mini trip to Hunting Island. Check in was easy and the desk clerk let us know the pool closed at dark (no time given) and opened again at 8am. When we got to our room the first thing we noticed was the smell. It smelled of mildew/mold and overall just dirty. We opened the window to air it out and just noting here that there was no screen. May be a concern for those traveling with young children. We noticed several mystery stains on the carpet and upon closer inspection we did find several (dead) bugs. We pulled back the covers on the bed and from the top of the comforter to the bottom was BLACK with mold/ mildew. A bit of honesty- I’m not sure how to differentiate between the two. Only that there were huge splotches of black covering the entirety of the bedding. Most likely causing the smell in the room. The lamp beside it also had black splotches on the shade. We could not stay in that room. I informed the clerk up front of our findings and he did switch our room. To the one next door.. so if Room 123 has bugs it’s only fair to assume 121 will as well. Plot twist- it did. I was not prepared to pay for another hotel and since 121 didn’t have the obvious mold we just had to tough it out. We stayed gone as much as we could. I did not see bad reviews when I booked but I’m hoping people do see this one and make a better choice then I did when staying in Beaufort.

Our stay in Beaufort was for Marine Graduation. We wanted to be very close to Parris Island without being on the island. It is very convenient to fast food, Walmart and Publix which is a plus. The operators of Sleep Inn are very helpful, gracious, courteous and pleasant. They allowed us to fill our coolers with ice on the first floor because the vending on the second floor was non functional, but the elevator is located almost next to it which is convenient. Use only the elevator because the stairwells are not clean. When you use the elevator it must be cleaned twice daily because I noticed no bad smells which can happen in motel elevators. If you're staying there to be close to the island, they place the newspapers in the lobby at no charge. Be aware, during our stay there were also construction crews staying there as well and the workers tend to gather outside during the evening and hang out in groups. This location of Sleep Inn NEEDS a full time landscape/yard guy. The outside is very littered and it's not just from it's location with heavy traffic, it's also the rear of the building and the sides of the building littered with trash, cigarette butts, beer and soda bottles and cans. The pool is mostly for children as it's depth is 4 1/2 and 3 feet deep and very small. It looked clean when I ventured out to see, but didn't linger long as there was some guy asleep next to the door for the pool. The sign read pool closed so that was that. The room was clean no tub

The breakfast options were adequate. The employees seemed understaffed. The facilities worked well and we had no problems with them. The exercise room was adequate. Our room was privileged to have a scenic view overlooking the marsh. We couldn’t check out the pool as it was understandably closed for the season. Upon arrival, the hotel felt hot and muggy. The air condition unit was turned off in the room so we had to wait for the room to cool down. The door was somewhat warped which was concerning. The window had not been cleaned very well & broken. We had to dispose of a small spider when we turned back the pillow on one bed. On the last night, much of the hotel smelt like someone had been/was smoking marijuana inside the property somewhere. Overall, it had its positives and negatives. It had room for improvements which can be achieved.

Great facility, nice rooms…..terrible maintenance, messy , littered grounds, horrible breakfast…it’s a shame that such a well designed hotel be so let go!!

A non-handicapped person parked in a handicap spot and mgmt refused to do anything about it. My husband is a disabled combat vet so we had to park at end of lot.

I wouldn’t recommend this place.Its dirty inside the rooms smell bad.it had big roaches and small ones crawling on my face. It rains and water came inside the windows and wet my Alexa.they don’t do room service until the 3 day.I will never go to this place again even if it’s free.It was roaches in the breakfast area too .They need to demolished this building and built a new one.

Only issue was that we found bedbugs in room but staff went above and beyond to remedy the situation in a timely manner. Things like this cany be avoided.

The room was dirty. Bed was made with dirty linens. It smelled of cannabis in the hallway. The room also had an unpleasant smell.

This was the only option for the weekend we visited. There was a big event in town, and all other hotels/house rentals were booked solid. This hotel has not had any updating for many years. The room smelled of mildew. There was a dehumidifier in the room. It was full. I emptied it, and the inside was covered in mold. We did not stay. We found accommodations farther away.

There is mold all over the room. The moldy stench is overwhelming. The floor wasn’t vacuumed. The bathroom was dirty. There was a maxi pad adhesive stuck to the bathroom door. The grounds are not being taken care of (grass and weeds overgrown). The common bathrooms were so dirty and the common trash containers were overflowing and trash all over the ground. Trash on the floor in the hallways. The stay was very disappointing

Please do not stay here. We spent two night here May 23-25 and within 24 hours of our stay we were covered in small bits from the bedding. There is an infestation of BED BUGS.

The room was warm and smelled horrible as soon as we walked in. It is different from the pictures on the website. The beds are the same but it didnt have a separate bathroom. There was a half wall next to the one bed then the sink. Then a wall with a pocket door that didnt work that great and didnt lock at all. The shower looked fine at first glance but the mold all around the shower door and underneath it was nasty. It looks like the carpets have ever been really cleaned. Also dont know if its related but my son got hand foot mouth while we were there. I noticed it on friday while we were on our way home. I would not recommend this hotel. They need to do a deep clean on the whole hotel. The night desk clerk was amazing. She was so sweet and helpful. But it seems all there rooms smelled like mold/mildew. Plus when my father checked into his room there was a spider on the window and there was mold all over the top of his windowsill.

I got bit by a bedbug. i went down to the lobby and Spoke to Tammy about my need to switch rooms and showed the pics and video. She told me that she was puttin me in A room far away from the room I was in. it had an odor but at 1 am we were tired and just needed rest I sprayed Lysol and fabreeze. We checked the mattress and it was dirty. Im spoke to Mike the hotel manager when I got back to the hotel around 4 PM and he stated that he did not see anything when he went to the room. I then showed him the pictures and the video. He asked me if I wanted to check out from the hotel for the night I explain to him that I was there for my son‘s graduation. I said we were put into another room, but the mattress was dirty. I even showed him the pictures and explained to him that I was not trying to cause a stir at his hotel but this is not right.He did not even offer to move us into another room. He just stated that he would see what he could do as far as compensation from the first night. Most likely he got it from Sr. I checked out today, April 25 around 7:15 AM and was not told of any conversation at all. I received a call from Mike around 9 AM as I was attending my son’s graduation. I returned his call about 10:30 AM and he told me that I was going to be compensated with 50% off of the room for the first night. I explained to him that this was not acceptable with everything that we had endured. I even expressed to him that he didn’t even offer to help with anything to help

The only good thing about this stay was the price, but unfortunately you get what you pay for. There were stains on the walls, carpet, chair, and bed skirts. Not only that, the window is cracked open and there is a humidifier in the room! If it was hot we would have been miserable. The only thing that seemed clean were the bed sheets and the toilet, and that’s debatable. There were old soap suds stains on the shower wall. It is obvious that the rooms are not cleaned entirely and the very minimum is done. We didn’t even stay the second night. We drove home after one night even though we paid for two nights. The only positive is Latasha (I’m probably spelling her name wrong). Her customer service doesn’t match the quality of this hotel and it’s not her fault. She is a gem. Very welcoming, positive, helpful, knowledgeable, and joyful.

There was a loud car out side of window that woke us up. Room was clean staff was great a good place to stay

The property was affordable but not updated fully. The shower is old and the rooms have carpet along with a musty smell.

The room was good, always felt very sticky humid. The hotel and room had a musty smell to them. The pillows also had the slightly musty smell. Overall, a good stay. The bed was comfortable, accomodations were ample. Check in and check out were seamless. 4 out of 5 stars Overall

Air barely cooled room, bathrooms extremely small, hallways hot. Needs upgrades. Carpet looks like original carpet.

Great rate… bed was excellent and room was clean and nice. Would definitely stay again.

The shower and bathroom was so small, the room was tiny for 2 Queen beds, the hallway smelled like weed! But the front seat was fairly okay, they couldn’t give me my receipt though😔 it was just not was on the pictures when I booked it!!!!

The bathroom door was a sliding door that was off track. The whole tracking unit was off the door frame making it impossible to close the door. This is the BATHROOM door where sometimes privacy is in demand! I feel sorry for the next people that may be in the company of a business trip, and maybe seeing the other person doing their business in the bathroom is not really ideal. I made a complaint about it, they just wrote it down on a sheet of paper!

Clean, friendly service. They were very attentive to our needs and let us know they were available 24/7 to accommodate our needs. Close to MCAB and the historic town of Beaufort.

Well upon checking in the receptionist stated that she was new. The rooms were booked together and I was told that I couldn’t pay for them together! I had to pay for each one separate. My booking receipt said my rooms were $440.40 and the hotel charged me 444.68. Then proceed to tell me after swiping my card 3 times that I didn’t pay for 1 room. Tried to make me pay again. So I had to show them my card transaction and call the bank to verify it. Later on they find out the mistake the receptionist made. The hall ways were extremely hot. The vending machines were down. They didn’t have any complimentary water. The wifi hardly worked so we had to watch regular tv. There was no note to tell us that. Maintenance had to come and put the tv on regular channels. We didn’t get a receipt upon checking in and were advised to wait until check out time.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and close to restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

Staff was very nice and helpful. Only thing that looked bad was there was a van with the engine falling through sitting outside. Other then that, it was a great place to stay and in a good location.

The staff is great. It is not too far from a lot of the restaurants and shopping areas in Beaufort.

Easy in and out for main roadway. Lots of small trash around grounds Room appears clean, no musty smell which is typical down here in the summer. Check in staff member is fantastic and so funny!!

This hotel has lovely views but is located close to businesses that aren't so welcoming to walkby them into town.

Toilet paper was like sandpaper! No one came in to replace with clean towels until we requested it & to empty garbage. Not very good service. Breakfast was pitiful. Need to expand menu like other motels! Used to eggs& biscuits.my husband has dietary restrictions & we had to go out for breakfast every day.

The air was very cold and comfortable. The area was clean however the rooms were a little dated. The breakfast was not the very best. No milk for the cereal and the fruit was not fresh. The apple juice was very watered down.

The facility was obviously very slow! Breakfast was nasty. The doors to the bathroom were faulty sliding doors. The shower had a smell to it when I turned it on as though it has not been run in a while. Charge should be more like $80 to crash in such a worn out and outdated facility.

Evacuated Venice FL prior to Hurricane Milton. Slept in car one night because lodging scarce. Desk manager friendly and competent. Good breakfast, bed very comfortable, bathroom dated, but adequate. Staff friendly and responsive to any questions. Walking distance

I loved the staff. They were friendly. And though the room wasn't quite as clean as I would've liked, everything else was superb - the free breakfast was a REAL breakfast, the little pool out back, and the pillows. THE PILLOWS were perfection. Thank you!

Breakfast was good. Hotel is old and needs some painting and repairs

It was a decent enough place, but priced high for the accommodations. The room was clean when we checked in, but they don’t change towels or anything unless you ask. Also, breakfast was either cereal or waffles. Nothing you could grab and go like pastries of any sort. And nothing hot to sit and enjoy. They did have a little room to park a larger vehicle or trailer but not much.

Our room was very clean and well kept, the "hot" breakfast was hardly warm even after we got up early our second day, but hey, it was free. Overall it was a pretty alright stay.
