I have a bad knee, so it was tough to climb the stairs to 2nd floor. I did request downstairs room upon arrival. The shower curtain rod was so high that the bottom of the curtain hung outside the tub. Needless to say water covered the bathroom floor when I took a shower. The person at the desk said, she would pass on the information to the owner. I suggested something else and her response was "That is above my pay grade"? I will not stay again!

Booked room, hoped for bottom floor for ease with our gear for a competition, nope... Top floor, slick stairs that I fell down on, and no elevator. So-called breakfast was a hot mess with few options, and coffee ran out quick...

Check in was easy, the TV worked, and parking was fine. Beyond that, not much else positive to say. The entire place was not maintained well. There was mold on the drywall in the bathroom, the shower water temp was difficult to regulate.

The bed rose up on the left side if I sat on the right side. That's pretty messed up. The complex had obviously been painted not too long ago, but the steps leading to the second floor looked ancient. The staff was friendly and the room was clean except for a towel left in the bathroom, on the hook on the back of the door. Finally, the window shade was extremely difficult to lower. I thought I was going to break it finally getting it down.

The room appeared ok at first… the gap around the door was crazy, the bathroom was GROSS! The back of the door was very dirty, paint missing. It looked like they found a door at the bump and put it up. The seams between the floor and tub appeared to be wood or dirt, but the worse part was the black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. In the morning my clothes felt damp and smelled funny. It was so very disappointing.

Room did not have a shower curtain. Told manager but nothing was done and the room wasn’t even cleaned after we were out for over 8 hours. Manager did not have breakfast out at 9 am- no coffee. Didn’t expect luxury accommodations but this place has very poor management!

Where do I start? The front door didn’t fit the frame, the shower was dirty and water was either scalding or freezing, the hairdryer didn’t work, most of the outlet covers didn’t fit and revealed large holes in the wall, I didn’t want to touch anything for fear it would break or fall off in my hand. It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed.

You can tell this motel has been around for a long time. It has been used and probably a bit abused. It was clean enough, but it could use a lot of TLC. The tub dripped all night long and the shower curtain bar was held up by a mini shampoo bottle to keep it from falling off the wall. The AC worked in our room but oscillated between freezing cold air and just air while the room stayed a mediocre temperature. It is close to campus, and is good enough for just one night, but I would look elsewhere for an extended stay.

The door to the room did not close all the way and left daylight and hot air in the room. Faucets in the bathroom were not connected to the wall and the water pressure was a trickle at best. The bathroom door did not close. The room overall had a bad smell, bed were very hard.

Our door wouldn't latch & wasn't shut when we arrived. The neighbors were very loud & slamming doors late into the night, the hotel can't really help that but the walls are super thin.

The hotel is all around average. There have been some updates that do make the rooms look good; however, don't look too close or you will see imperfections. The bathroom is in great need of updating as the tub is old and yellowed and the pipes sing to you as you shower. There was a "computer glitch" and they almost gave our room away after one night, but a phone call got it settled. The bed is on the very firm side and you can feel a spring or two depending on how you laid in the bed.

Cheap furniture, fixtures, towels, bedding, signs of wear/sloppy repairs, poor water pressure, etc. On plus side, seemed clean (though I found a used toothbrush on a shelf next to the sink) and very friendly, competent staff who answered questions and provided help with a smile. If you’re looking for low cost hotel option near Clemson and don’t mind no-frills, then this is an ok choice. Location is convenient, but you will need a car to get to the University. Still on a busy weekend, paying a lot for this level of room/hotel is a bit hard to swallow.

I was looking for a quick place to spend the night after a long few days on the road. Property was nice. Staff was awesome. My only semi-complaint was I couldn't find the remote, but I was so exhausted I didn't care. I'd staff here again without a second thought. Thank you.

If you’re a local don’t try and stay here in the event of an emergency. Due to the incoming bad weather I packed up my girls and decided to stay here. Made my reservation on line and off we went. When I went to check in I was told sorry, can’t give you a room because you’re a local. I explain that I had two young children with me and needed a room for the night because of the incoming bad weather. This man didn’t want to hear it. He absolutely refused to us. I understand people trash rooms, but I’m a 40yr old man with two kids. I’m not there to party, I’m there to ride out a bad storm.

Do not stay here… This hotel should be removed from Expedia!!! Rooms smell, showers don’t work, room was filled with flys. 5 seconds after walking into my room, I returned my keys and went to stay at a different hotel in town. Hotel refused the refund me any money after multiple attempts. I blame Expedia as much as I blame the Days Inn for this deceiving listing!

The property was clean and up to date. The clerk was helpful and nice. However after checking in and settling into my room she called and said the owner wanted me in another room for unknown reasons. The new room was identical to the first one. Around midnight a very loud drunken group was screaming and yelling outside. I kept waiting for the police to show up but they never did.

Chris at days inn @ Clemson canceled my reservation all because I had a in area phone number , although I do not live in the state, I have a North Carolina ID, Said he had called my number 2 times, I looked on my call log and he had not called me one time and cancels my room l, then he wants me to pay another fee to get a room again AFTER I already purchased a night stay. TERRIBLE service and it’s funny because it’s happened 3 times in the past 3 days trying to get a room from different places. Assuming and then just canceling everything without a call or notification.

I did not get to stay at this establishment.. they called to confirm my address.then it was determined that I was a so called local and this establishment and others in the Clemson area have a no local policy… so they cancelled the reservation.. even though I was without power in my apartment. I did not get to stay at this establishment.. they called to confirm my address.then it was determined that I was a so called local and this establishment and others in the Clemson area have a no local policy… so they cancelled the reservation.. even though I was without power in my apartment. The cost was so reasonable. we basically just wanted a place to crash for the night - so we weren't looking for luxury. The hwy in front of the hotel was busy, and construction workers pulling in and out in their big ole work trucks were a bit noisy. But all in all, it was convenient, and there are a lot of places to eat nearby, and the Botanical gardens make for a fun stroll - and it's right down the road. All good.

What we liked: newly remodeled, clean. Disliked: gap at the door was 1/4" . Noise!! Very acoustic walls, again: noise!! People coming in at 2am, noisy AF. Management must\'ve been sleeping not to hear all this. Pillows and mattresses were uncomfortable and didn\'t help in getting through the night restfully. Dust on the bathroom floor, toilet tank, bathtub, hooks etc. Breakfast was basic as it gets. Coffee and tea.. without cofeine. I kid you not. Overall, our one night there was regretfully very rough and we\'ll avoid this place next time we\'d be driving through Clemson.

There was not even water or a toast available for breakfast. I have never experienced such a low quality breakfast. During my 4 day stay my room was not cleaned once.

I requested a King sized bed. The only thing I was told that was available was queen size units. I’m nearly 6’5” and 250 lbs. I don’t sleep comfortably on anything smaller than a king. The air conditioner in my room was off when I arrived and it took until around 2am for it to begin to cool the room. The “grab and go breakfast” choices were very thin. One yogurt was left. A couple of muffins and an omelet wrapped in plastic isnt enough to get me going. The desk folks are nice enough but I need more value for my travel.

Room did not have a shower curtain. Told manager but nothing was done and the room wasn’t even cleaned after we were out for over 8 hours. Manager did not have breakfast out at 9 am- no coffee. Didn’t expect luxury accommodations but this place has very poor management!

The bathroom was clean but had holes and rips in the wallpaper. The 'continental' breakfast was pre-made and consisted of muffins, packaged sausages, bagels, and milk. There was no cream cheese for the bagels and no orange juice. The morning we were leaving, we had to walk through a pungent weed smell between our room and our car (maybe 10 feet). I would not stay there again.

Reservations were lost upon arrival. I had called 2 weeks prior to confirm reservations for 2 rooms and they said yes. I spoke with a lady then. We arrived for checkin and no rooms then after i got stern suddenly they found them. Upon entry of room strong cigarette smell and stains on bedding. We went to front office spoke with a long haired man and he said they would get both room fixed in the next 5 minutes we left and went to our social gathering and came back to find that both rooms were in the exact same state. We specifically fold sheets to ensure we could verify if the bedding had ben changed. It had not. Went upfront R Patel told me to share one room with 2 couples and I thought he was joking but he was not. I told clean the rooms now or we are leaving. He said he cannot clean the rooms. I was promised a manager would call me Saturday morning. No call. I called Saturday they told be i should get a call back the following week sometime. How embarrassing.
