Hotel was close to carowinds which was a plus. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and check in/out was easy. Only 2 issues, middle of July and pool was closed nasty and green and elevators didn’t work super inconvenient

For the most part this was what it said it was. We were extremely disappointed that the pool was closed and appeared to be for quite some time. The staff at this location was very friendly and cared about what they did. There was a lot of non hotel traffic due to the Tesla charging stations. I feel like this could be move to vacant lots near the property versus in the parking lot. Overall this served it purpose in having a place to sleep while on vacation.

Pool was most important for my decision on hotel, I chose hotel because we wanted a hotel with pool close to Carowinds. Pool was out of service, no mention on website. We were promised each day of stay it was going to be cleaned, stayed 3 days. Bathtub drain was clogged and requested repair three times. Positive about hotel was the breakfast buffet, fresh and tasted good. If a pool and clean bathtub was not important, then everything else was okay with hotel.

The hotel was very dirty. Everything was broken. The pool was green and not working, the ice machine was broken and taken apart, the main elevator was broken. The rooms smelled bad and the beds were very hard with stains all over them. The shower head barely sprayed water. I cancelled my reservation as well as many other people that same day.

The stay was pleasant, but due to storm. The elevator was out of service and are room was on the third floor. I had just had surgery and having to climb stairs was not very good. They said it was going to be fixed the next day , but wasn’t. The pool was green and not able to use.

Pool was closed down by State all the Elevators was broken they didnt give all the deposit back and we left the room the way we found it . They took 15$ of deposit bc we didnt take our trash with us and left it in trash can . The free breakfast sucked as well got to love 5 day old muffins and powed eggs

We checked in but upon entering the room, we surprised several bedbugs that quickly scurried beneath the tv and beds. I thought I was seeing things at first since it had been a long road trip but we lifted the tv and they scurried again. We turned around and reported the incident to the front desk. He was apologetic but not really shocked by this. Hotels.com did issue a refund. We chose this hotel because they have Tesla superchargers- I didn’t read the reviews before booking. We’re not the only ones finding bedbugs.

Stay clear of this hotel!!! Our room was infested with German Cockroaches! I told the front desk employee and he told me all he could do was to tell housekeeping. He never said another word nor apologized! He did not care at all! We were extremely disappointed.

Had roaches and uncleaned recepticles in our room. I took pictures and video of it and showed the downstairs attendant. They gave us a new room. We were already late getting to the hotel and after the bad room it was almost 12. We didnt see roaches in this room so got ready for bed. The tv in our new room barely works and is slow. Blacks out from time to time. The sink is clogged. It barely goes down. Thought it was getting cold at night and was messing with our C/heater and thought it was automated. But it was just broke. We tried the unit and pressed the power button on the wall control panel as well. It wouldnt start. Not running. No lights. But there was cold air blowing through it. We all were tired of dealing with this so just went to bed. Informed the attendant next morning who was on his phone sitting and not really caring much when I told them what happened. All around a terrible place to stay. I do not recommend. If had arrived earlier i would have not even slept there and went to another hotel.

The hotel is roach infested!..The furniture is old. It’s definitely not worth the money. The manager NT is a big bully. Bc how are you upset if I’m telling you the rooms have roaches. I had to contact corp on her twice. If you’re that miserable it’s time a new job lady.

The room was just okay. Curtains were very stained; looked like a “diddy scene” could have taken place there. The corners of the room looked dirty and warped, maybe from water leak. Lots of teens running the halls but I guess being so close to amusement park that is to be expected. Thankfully I had a sound machine. The air conditioning unit would not change functions so the settling we arrived in was the setting that had to stay. Beds seemed clean. Pool closed due to storm but didn’t open back even after, although it was over an hour time still left before it was supposed to close for the night.

This wasn’t the worst hotel we’ve stayed in, but definitely on the below average end. We knew we would only need it for sleeping one night- so we didn’t want to spend a ton. The people were nice, but it was not updated. The beds were not comfortable, the pillows were tiny (not even a regular sized pillow), bathroom was tiny. Internet was not great. No waffle maker at breakfast.

This is " I\'m so tired I cant drive home" kinda place. The rooms are ok. The bathroom was a hot mess....literally. The fan did not work and after a shower water had pooled on the ceiling and it would rain after your shower. You could tell they knew because there many layers of paint over the bubbled paint. If you are a big person you will not fit in this bathroom. The toilet almost hits the door. With the sink, toilet and tub you may have 12 inches of floor space to stand while you shut the door. I would say leave it open to venting but then you would have to step in the toilet to get in the tub. lets not talk about the shower curtian. It may as well been a paper bag because once it gets wet it just leaks all over the floor. Step carefully out because wll the water from the rain cloud above you and the shower curtian you will feel like you are on ice. You have to go out side to the parking lot for the pool access. There is no access from inside the hotel. At the current time the elevators were down. They did not offer a discount for it and just said have a nice night. Limited towels. We needed 2 more towels after the pool and he wanted us to bring down the wet towels after we had gotten dry towels. Breakfast was nice. Hot and cold options. The rooms could use a major over haul. The hall carpet needs a major cleaning also. Did i mention the elevator was out? That also means house keeping had to lug the supplies up the stairs (all 4 floors).

My dad and I always stay here due to its proximity to Carowinds. The Comfort Inn continues to deliver. The beds are extremely comfy and rooms get dark at night, thanks to the blackout curtains. Breakfast is always a plus: well-stocked and plenty of options. Staff is great and takes care of their guests. Pool is a fun amenity at end of the day. Plenty of dining options nearby. If you want to go into Uptown Charlotte, this hotel is also close enough. This hotel is always my first option when coming to Carowinds.

Our room was by the elevator all night we heard people talking and kids screaming on the 3rd floor. They should have a quiet time from 10pm-6am to give the guest time to actually get some rest and not be woken up by noise.

The stay was OK until check out. Room and beds were fine. Family liked the breakfast ok. It was about the check-in/check-out and billing experience that was awful. At check-in the guy made me pay for a facility fee that he said was for breakfast because I booked through a 3rd party. At check out I was told that that I couldn't check out because there were additional fees. I found out I had already paid the fee...so I was double charged and then there were a series of other fees almost doubling the cost of the room. I had to wait 45 minutes to speak to a manager because they were not on site. The person at the desk (who said it was her first day) and the manager were very nice and eventually this was all fixed...but I will never go back after this experience.

I would not recommend to anyone, I stayed 4 nights and not once did my room get cleaned. I asked for a room clean after the 2nd night and said it would be but it wasn’t. I’m definitely not staying here again.

When calling the office to ask them if they could at least bring towels the front desk told me no I would need to go down as she was alone. Had a rough start to the stay with unexpected high pet fee. When asked front desk about it. They simply said can find somewhere else to stay and get money back from Expedia. Room was non refundable and fully paid. After 15hrs of driving. That was the last thing wanted to hear. Paid the fee cause and forgave then for their rudeness. Room was comfy clean with lots of space but found dark. Lighting was dim. So overall alight place.

On May 18, I stayed in this hotel and I booked this hotel through Expedia and paid in full, including Hotel Service Fee of $4.77. Even though this was not a great amount of money, it was the practice of both Expedia and this hotel. I will not book this hotel again and may witch to a different booking company.

Unable to reach staff at the front desk. Front desk staff seemed to have an attitude and wouldn’t even tell me where my room was. Used tissue rolls left in room we checked into as well as cigarette burn holes in sheets of the bed as well.

The restaurant downstairs was closed but other than that the staff was wonderful and friendly. My key didn’t work at all the whole time and I had to keep getting a new one and finding new ways to verify who I am. The area is crap and pretty unsafe but the hotel itself is locked up.

Just a few years ago, this was our favorite hotel to stay at. It was very clean, updated and had a great breakfast that beat most local breakfast restaurants. This trip proved to be a 180 degree different experience. Upon arrival, we had to wait and then yell to the back to get someone to come to the front desk to check us in. We were never welcomed as guest under any circumstances. Throughout the stay, everyone we came in contact with did not have a uniform on and carried the same unwelcoming demeanor. Upon walking to our room, we found a lack of upkeep and cleanliness to the facility; elevator buttons broken, tile damaged, walls damaged, 1st floor smelling of smoke and hallways not vacuumed. Our room had dirty bathroom tub corners and mold on the ceiling. The water pressure was sub par to even shower. The carpet was very worn and dirty. Room also showed a lack of upkeep; carpet pulling from the wall, chair very worn and dirty, other furniture scraped up and worn as well. As we departed, we hoped that the breakfast would make up for the experience but only added to the horrible experience. Breakfast was completely out! No hot food whatsoever and after reviewing other options, only found cereal available. We informed the front desk and he stated they only had one cook and were busy. We’ve always seen the breakfast area just as busy during our stays and it never affected the quality and availability of food. Overall, it’s apparent that leadership is needed in this hotel.

This hotel was amazing for the price! The rooms were clean, the beds were great and there was no visible issues with the ceiling or bathroom. Micro, tv and refrigerator worked great. There is only one elevator which was a bit crowded at times, but that did not take away from our stay. The breakfast was AMAZING! Eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, home made hashbrowns, waffle maker, cereal, coffee/juice. :-) We didn't have to eat until after the LAX tournament! Thanks for a great night! *****

My dad and I always stay here due to its proximity to Carowinds. The Comfort Inn continues to deliver. The beds are extremely comfy and rooms get dark at night, thanks to the blackout curtains. Breakfast is always a plus: well-stocked and plenty of options. Staff is great and takes care of their guests. Pool is a fun amenity at end of the day. Plenty of dining options nearby. If you want to go into Uptown Charlotte, this hotel is also close enough. This hotel is always my first option when coming to Carowinds.

Breakfast was Horrible and didnt seem fresh. Rooms are nice. Put on the AC. Halls and entrance were very hot. Dont charge me a Facility fee to use the pool thats stupid and dumb. Thats like a restaurant charging me for Ketchup or Ranch.

Stayed here with my family (13 year old and 9 year old) for our trip to Carowinds theme park. We also had our dog with us. This was the closest hotel to the park, and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good each morning, the pool was clean and warm, the work out room was open 24 hours, and we used the laundry facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only parts I felt could have made it 5 stars was updating/hallway cleanliness. The shower ceiling was cracked and molding, and the main hallway where our room was located needed to be cleaned. However, the first floor was where rooms for pets were so we understood that it might night always be the cleanest. Overall, we liked this hotel and would return if we come back!

The hallway from entrance to elevator smelled moldy and like a wet dog. We saw roaches in the room so we left our belongings in the car and there was trash under the curtains and under table in room.

Unreal this hotel has a 7.6 rating- makes me think bots wrote some.of the reviews. On a positive note, the staff is friendly, the sheets and bathroom surfaces were clean and the breakfast was a typical moderate hotel spread. Otherwise, this place is seriously rundown and in need of many repairs or better yet a complete teardown and rebuild. The wall light fixture by the beds pulls loudly away from the wall, so I woke up my familly when I had to switch which cell was charging since the USB port was inoperable. The faucet was hard to lift and noisy. The curtain rod was such that the curtain couldn't fully close which made for a wet, small bathroom with cracked door jam with a hole big enough or a mouse. The whole building is incredibly musty and smelly. At check-in, I had an immediate buyer's remorse as I stood in a.smelly, damp lobby with no A/C and was also charged some mysterious, miscellaneous extra few dollars for which knows what. It is obvious that Choice Hotels is simply taking advantage of the close proximity to Carowinds Amusement Park to overcharge guests. We chose this as our halfway stop for the chance to enjoy a second visit to this park, but it wasn't worth it.
