Camelot by the Sea

Room was overall clean. Pools had a lot of sand in them where they were not being maintained properly. Lazy river only worked one day of our 3 day stay.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo. It was surprisingly spacious compared to other resorts I have stayed at Myrtle. The amenities were perfect to enjoy & make memories with my 2 yr old granddaughter. Grounds were beautifully kept. Location perfect for walking boardwalk or street side, for just a stroll, shopping or dining. Parking garage, you park on your floor, up to the 10th floor, so no walking across the street for parking. Also we saw security daily, which was nice to keep the grounds and pool area safe. Adults could enjoy the amenities as well, no rowdiness and rough housing from the kiddos allowed! We will be back 2025, with a larger group, so reserving a 3 bedroom condo, can’t wait. Thank you Camelot by the Sea for a memorable stay!

The view was amazing. Anything needed was in walking distance. The parking garage is very tight, but overall it was nice.

Property is clean and room was well stocked. It has an indoor lazy river, indoor and outdoor hot tubs and pools. Room was booked through Vacasa. The only complaints we have are we weren't allowed early check in, even though it was requested at time of reservation and the room was ready by 1:30 and the smart lock on the door can be aggravating to gain entry into room.

Everything was great except car garage it's a little small. But the place is great. Love the pools

Hotel and surrounding area was very nice. Would definitely stay here again. Parking garage is tight. Difficult to park with large vehicles.

Disappointed the pool side bar wasn't open even though it was summer time.

I liked that all rooms are oceanfront and convenient parking garage right outside the door. Our condo was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The small kitchen had everything we needed and the hardwood floors were so much better with all the sand coming from the beach. We enjoyed the pools and the lazy river all were the perfect temperature. I wished the pool side bar was open longer for after dinner drinks. Overall it was a great value stay.

Very clean

It smelled terrible was not cleaned before we got there tub has nasty ring . Door was broken so you couldn’t lock it from inside. Smoke alarm blinking bc the batteries are dead.

The room was good but very outdated. In the bathroom the ceiling was very moldy. The doors were starting to peel on the bottom. Dining room table was very dirty when we arrived. All in all I had a great stay but needs updating in the rooms.

The overall cleanliness was subpar. Lots of areas of improvement for maintaining the property properly cleaned.

We stayed in unit 0516. Would not recommend this unit to anyone. Filthy floors, disgusting carpet in bedroom and living room. Furniture was extremely old and uncomfortable. Cheapest plastic chairs on balcony. Access codes extremely old, took several tries every time. The unit I reserved for my grandson was better but access code didnt work and he had to wait for a manager to call him back then another 30 minutes for him to arrive to fix the problem.

There was mold on the ceiling in all the rooms and we got relocated to another Motel so I can’t really give a good review …

Everything worked well, very clean, great views.

Room was exactly as described, very clean with a beautiful view.

When I checked one of the bedrooms had dirty linen piled at the bottom of the bed.

We have stayed here for the last 6 years. Quiet rooms, clean and well maintained property. All types of eating places in walking distance. Clean beach. Will hope to return soon.

The one problem we had was for 3 out of our 6 day stay we didn’t have hot water to take a shower my husband and daughter got so fed up with it we left a day early even tho we paid for 6 we only stayed 5

The halls were old, dirty and kind of smelly. The room1003 had a sleeping sofa but it was in very bad condition and unable to sleep. The gym was old.the pooling area was very good.

Disappointing Stay – Multiple Unresolved Issues We encountered several major issues during our stay that made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. First, the hair dryer zapped and vibrated in my hand when I tried to plug it in—clearly an electrical hazard. We were told someone would come to replace it, but no one ever did. The bathroom was another problem. The shower/tub did not drain properly, leaving us standing in water and dirt. The bathroom sink also didn’t drain, and by the time you finished brushing your teeth, the entire bowl was full of stagnant water. The listing states the home sleeps six, but that’s misleading. The sofa bed was completely unusable—the coils were poking through the mattress, making it impossible to sit on, let alone sleep. To make matters worse, there were no pillowcases or fitted sheets provided for it. Realistically, this property only accommodates four people comfortably. We reported these issues three times during our stay and were told the manager would come by to help. That never happened. Since then, I’ve made five follow-up calls and still received no resolution. Overall, the lack of responsiveness and unresolved maintenance issues were extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this property until significant improvements are made. The beach was nice and the area was okay. We chose not to use the pools and the entire area consistently smelt like weed

Spacious room, needed updating but clean with plenty of towels. Beachfront. Beautiful views. Hotel having some construction but it was quiet and did not impact pools or hot tubs. Would book again.

Very outdated property. The room was clean. Had issues for the 4 day stay with hit water. The owner responded quickly. Being on lower floor 3 we had to run all faucets open for 5-10 minutes for hot water. Not owners fault the boiler on top of this high rose.

The room was ok. Enough room for two people max. It was not up to date as other hotels. The beds was not comfortable. The shower was cold, still cold after letting it run to warm up. Overall the area was quiet.

Room was nice. Sofa bed when pulled out leaned to the head so I had to put the table that was on the patio under the frame to hold it up. Door to my room was right across from the elevator so I got to hear loud people coming and going all night. Grandkids loved the lazy river!

Was adequate… definitely dated and in need of updating but all in all it is ok.

Friendly staff, clean and near everything easy access to the beach, and was wheelchair accessible for our family members!

The lobby clerk had a poor attitude. First place I stayed where the property is serviced by different companies and if you arent in 1 of 60 rooms, the clerk does not gaf. He will dismiss your concerns and not care. His reference to Vacasa was at least a starting point . I tried the text chat option and moved to calling whwn i got no response in 15 min. The call waiting was about 15 as well(BTW, text response came 2.5 hours later). My problem you ask? I had no idea i needed a code for the garage and a code to grt in my room or what my room # was. Lamps were unplugged, TVs in rooms didnt work. Main TV in living room wouldn't get off of Netflix and I'm not entering my access info on another device i don't own. So, no TV. Door handle to balcony was coming off, fluid master in one bathroom was faulty, holes in front door where lock was changed but screw holes werent covered. Definitely not worth the cost

This was a basic hotel. No daily cleaning although if you need fresh towels The front desk will send them to you quickly. No restaurant just vending machines. The beach is beautiful, however if you fly to Myrtle Beach and can't bring any beach equipment the city has 1 umbrella and 2 chairs that you can rent for $50.00 per day. I thought that was kind of steep.

Check in was super easy room was everything needed for an enjoyable weekend. The ladies at the front desk were also super friendly and helpful the couple of interactions we had with them.

From the day we went to the hotel we had issues couldn’t get a hold of anybody didn’t have toilet paper for two days. The toilet was clogged took over two hours for someone to come we missed our show waiting around.

We arrived early at 1130 and front desk said they would get us in asap. Check in is at 4pm. 345 we we told by a rude woman that check in starts when they are done cleaning and housekeeping was currently in our room. 4pm is just a number. this was told to many others as well, left just in limbo.We were told they would call us, 430 we went back and room was ready, no call and woman was rude again. We were told rooms were individually owned, so I am not 100% how this works. Our room was clean, and looked nice. However we realized quickly it needed a lot of maintenance. Safe did not work, shower flooded the bathroom every time, TV's were old, remotes did not work. Bathroom was dingy, and there was absolutely no beach cups, beach towels, etc. There was security walking around, but people were smoking weed from their balconies. The hotel stated it had 2 bars in their add, pool bar and a separate lounge/bar. Not true, only pool bar and it was not open Mon/Tue when were there. The area around the hotel was good, restaurant across the street was fantastic Lulu's. Also the Water Station was incredible for food, so good restaurants around to eat in walking close distance. The overall quality was just ok. The beach area was nice and close. so that was probably the highlight. We would not stay again.

Code to get in door didn’t work so had to go to Lobby to get them to let us in a few times. Receptionist had an attitude. The morning one was great but the afternoon lady was very attitudal. Ice machine didn’t work. Place just wasn’t as nice as it was a few years back.

The property was very clean and the room was in the best condition, very clean, close to shops and restaurants. I also like being able to leave my room and my car was nearby. The only dislike is that the garage was a little tight maneuvering around....several times, I had to back up for another vehicle to get by.... The front desk had great customer service and very informative.

I liked the location but when you needed something when you called down to the front desk they never came up to the room to bring us the towels like we requested so we had to go get them ourselves and one of the toilets got clogged and they never showed up for that so we got it unclogged on our own.

Very close to the boardwalk and pier! You can walk towards restaurants, stores and more! Beach was beautiful very family friendly and just peaceful! Would not doubt in coming back!

The suite and balcony was great! Clean and gorgeous view! Excellent location. Walkable everywhere. We don’t need the car until the next day.Comfortable bed, great value for the money. The big disappointment was, they didn’t provide coffee, we are early risers and we like to have coffee on the balcony. Also when we were ready to leave, we found a warning on our car because we didn’t have a parking tag on the car window. We were told we will find in the suite upon arrival. They didn’t have one for us in the room. We had a parking code. We thought that indicated we are staying there. So it seems like the property management has a disconnect!

The location was perfect. We had a great view from our balcony of the ocean and we just minutes from the downtown attractions and a short drive to Broadway at the Beach.

Pull out sofabed had black mold but they did bring a bra d new sofa bed, room only cooled to 73 drgrees asked for a fan, no fans had to buy one, bar closed at 5 pm

I liked how close it was to everything and the dining nearby was very good too. I definitely recommend next door beach bummz for a burger or their Buffalo chicken tacos and across the road at lulus for breakfast. It Was a little noisy being next to the garage but that was mainly closer to bike week. All in all I would stay again and recommend to others as well.
