Our room was nice and clean, front desk clerk was very efficient. We were very disappointed that the jacuzzi was out of service. We booked there for the use of it. But the outdoor firepit and couches were great!

The hotel staff was great, unclogged the shower and fixed the broken toilet seat when asked. Pool and slide are awesome. Breakfast went fast and was your basic. My credit card number was stolen using the laundry machines and no option to pay with coins so that sucked. No way to contact the hotel directly so it probably is still happening

The hotel was great, this is the second time I've stayed there. The bummer was that the waterslide was out of order. I was bringing a team of kids and this was the #1 reason we chose this hotel. They still had fun in the pool, but I wish I knew that the slide was out of order (it appeared that it had been that way quite some time).

This place looks great on the surface but is anything but. The hotel is not properly maintained. The tub knob would not pull up to activate the shower properly (I actually almost pulled it off the wall) so the tub filled while leaving the shower with little pressure. All faucets spray in every direction due to calcium buildup. And with all the hard water problems, they didn’t even have lotion as an amenity!! They also charge a ‘resort fee’ due to the water slide on the premises. Which would be great but you have to PAY EXTRA! They charge you a fee on top of the room but that isn\'t enough, you have to pay to use it. Needless to say, it went unused the entire time we were there. The staff were terrible. We waited 8 minutes while 2 people chatted about something on the computer and at checkout no "how was your stay" or "thank you" or "have a nice day". Nothing. Just go elsewhere - for the price there are lots of options and they won\'t charge you extra to pay for the waterslide sticking out of the building.

Had a great stay in a nice spacious room with two beds and a couch for our family. Great weight room, kids LOVED the slide and went down 40 times at least. Standard hotel breakfast. Overall great time and would stay again!

We stayed one night before driving to Mount Rushmore. The hotel was quiet, but the room didn't seem clean. There was hair in the bathtub and stains on the washcloths. We attempted to take our son to the pool and take advantage of the waterslide, but it was packed and extremely noisy. The hotel isn't bad, but definitely not somewhere we would want to stay again. If you're looking for a place to lay your head for the night and nothing more, than this would be suffice.

The ladies at check in were great. Upon entering our room, a "luxury suite", the cleanliness was very disappointing. The coffee table hadnt been wiped down, there were crumbs and ring marks from drinks. The toilet had urine running down the front of it as well as built up dirt/grime in the corners on the floor. One of the remotes was covered in grease from someones hands. Beds were poorly made so looked thrown together at best. 9AM in the morning when my daughter & I were going down for breakfast, outside our door were housekeepers. A male hskpr asked when we were checking out as if it was 11AM already. We asked the front desk for an 1130 chkout and hesitantly were given one. Between 11 & 1130 we had hskping attempt to enter 3 times plus a call from hskping asking us to leave. Breakfast was mediocre at best and wasnt kept full nor were the tables cleaned off promptly Between guests. I worked for an IHG property for 5 yrs. All of the above was unacceptable. We will look elsewhere next time we visit Rapid city for a place to stay overnight.

Expedia reviews said King Deluxe Room was "exceptional". Our room was the furthest thing from that. The coffee table was dirty, the floor hadn't been vacuumed, two of the pillows had nasty stains on them, the bathroom was crappy (chip in the tub, dirty grout, dated trim, rough towels...I could go on and on). The minute you walked into the lobby, you are greeted with an overwhelming amount of air freshener

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, well maintained, and had modern conveniences like plenty of USB ports and free Wi-Fi. Streaming on the free Wi-Fi was painfully slow, so I used my cell data for that. But for browsing, working, and other online tasks, it worked just fine. If you want high-speed internet for streaming, it's $4.95 a day. The staff were friendly, and the check-in process was easy. I used the app to check in and picked up my keys at the counter. Check-out was just as simple. I checked out on the app and dropped the keys off at the front desk. I’d definitely recommend it.

I stayed 6 nights and there were things I liked and disliked. Pros were the room size, pool was fun when it wasn't slammed busy, and the main bed was fairly comfortable. Cons were business of the pool area most times, the cable was very bare minimum and had no guide to even see whats on, the parking lot was always full at night, and the windows in my room didnt open making it very stuffy.

Walls are thin. You will hear your neighbors. One night, we heard a dog barking and yelping every couple of minutes. Another night, a family checked in and we could hear them talking, showering, watching TV until 11pm. Also sounds of doors slamming throughout the night. Bad place if you like to sleep early or during the day. Also, window was leaking water during a rainstorm. Staff is nice enough, and always available.

Great location, EZ On/Off at I-90; very close to Starbucks, Michael's, WalMart, Pacific Rim Asian cuisine, downtown Rapid City, and fuel stops. Room with 1 King was small and bathroom was clean. There was no ice bucket, or plastic bags in trash cans so we used plastic grocery bags to collect discarded food containers. Furniture seemed 'sticky' so I washed with bath cloth. Credit Card-operated Laundry on ground floor was very convenient and clean. There was DAILY tour bus guests so breakfast was very busy, but plentiful food items of scrambled eggs & sausage; dry cereal; yogurt; fruit; coffee & tea. Staff is friendly.

The hotel is definitely well-used as it's showing signs of wear. We checked in late- around 9pm- and the pool was packed. Lots of parents tiring their kids out before bedtime. The bed and pillows were the softest I think I've ever slept in at a hotel which led to a great night's sleep! The only negative: the breakfast was...not great. I had high hopes from the setup, but the hot food looked worse than grade school cafeteria from the 1980's. I don't exactly know if food back then was gross, but I imagine it to be. The sausage looked rubber. The eggs were sitting in water. The pastries were..not appealing. The coffee was a step below gas station. So..if breakfast is a big deal, this could be a deal breaker. But for me, the bed is more important, so I'll stay here again if I'm in town.

Of all the hotels we stayed in this week on our trip, this one was the most comfortable. The breakfast area….. absolutely horrible. It is certainly the one downfall.

Continental breakfast is rather abysmal. Convenient that there's shampoo and conditioner in the showers but mine ran out of conditioner on the first day and was never refilled. I do like the pool/hot tub area. And the location is great for food and shopping. Desk staff is pleasant.

This was my first time using AmericInn. I was impressed by the how clean the common areas were and the nicely updated room. Overall, I'll certainly look for an AmericInn option when I travel. The price was good and the stay was nice.

Upon checking in, our room smelled strongly of cleaning solutions, but that was rectified by opening the window for a couple of hours. The beds were comfortable, the towels somewhat thin. Breakfast was average for these sort of places. My main complaint is that WiFi isn't actually free - you either pay with your email address and a compulsory sign-up for the Wyndham loyalty program or they charge you $4.95 per day for unsecured, unencrypted, basic WiFi. Clearly not courting business customers, this is bizarrely behind the industry standard to include WiFi in the room cost.

Room was very nice for family of 5, Bathroom had 2 showers, a tub, and private toilet. there was hair that was not ours on the floor along with the floor being very dirty, which is kinda expected and reasonable for slippers, flip flops. Hot tub is small but HOT. 12 year old and 6 year-old loved the slide
