Hotel staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. In town for event at convention center and you could not beat the convenience of walking to and from INSIDE while the weather was cold and rainy for those driving in from other hotels!

The bed was comfortable and the room was esthetically nice. The other reviews are right that you can hear clear conversations through the walls. We did get locked out of our room after the battery on the lock died, but the staff was able to quickly fix the issue. The front desk lady was very friendly and provided a city map and ideas for our stay during the 4th of July. You do have to pay $27 for parking or you can valet for a little extra. The pool was laughable, as it is EXTREMELY SMALL for a 16 floor hotel. You can comfortably fit about 8 small children in it (definitely not adults). There is a coffee shop and the food smelled great, but we did not order from the hotel. Overall, I would probably pick a different hotel should we stop in Chattanooga again.

Subject: Disappointing Stay – Multiple Issues During My Visit I recently stayed at your property and unfortunately had several issues that made the experience far below expectations: 1. Undisclosed Parking Fee: I was not informed by the front desk that there would be a $25/day parking fee. This lack of transparency was disappointing and felt deceptive. 2. Parking Garage Access Problems: The parking tickets consistently failed to work when trying to exit the garage. I had to rely on valet staff each time just to leave the premises. This was both inconvenient and frustrating. 3. Water Temperature Issue in Room: There was no access to cold water from either the shower or the bathroom faucet. The water was always extremely hot — making it impossible to take a refreshing shower or even drink from the tap. This is a serious issue and one that significantly impacted my comfort during the stay. Overall, these problems were unacceptable for the price and reputation of your hotel. Only drawback was restaurant wasn't open much. Certainly understandable given difficulty getting staff these days.. The coffee shop was very helpful and good for a quick bite. Often very busy, but staff handled it well .

Had trouble getting service from my room for room service and from the front desk, found a small roach crawling around in the bathroom, but otherwise the room was comfortable, the staff was friendly and it was convenient for the event we were attending at the convention center. Pricey for the quality.

we assumed when we clicked on 2 beds that they would be queen size. They were full beds. THey were tiny. This is the only hotel I've ever been to that doesn't have queen beds. Never again.

The double/queen beds are very small, more of a full sized bed, barely fit 2 adults to sleep! My husband and I ended up sleeping each on a double bed in our room because we felt like sleeping together on one double bed we were going to fall off! For dinner one night we found a unique bar/restaurant within walking distance of the hotel.

All staff was great- bar, front desk, coffee shop. Pool was great on July 4th weekend- clean and upkeep was really good. Everything was very convenient both at the hotel and surrounding area. Only downside was rooms beside us and above us were very noisy ( like banging or furniture being moved around and dropped)starting at 6am each morning for 1-2 hours so hard to sleep in

I did a pre check in the evening before arrival, but at 4:30 pm local time, my room still was not ready, and I had never received confirmation that my early check in went through. I received a room about 45 minutes later. At 10:48 pm local time, I received a text stating that my room is now ready and I can come to the front desk to pick up my keys. As a convention hotel, more staff should have been on hand to take care of two major events, our sorority's state meeting, and the dance convention.

Excellent experience overall, especially for the price. Prime location: comfortable walking distance from the main attractions of downtown. Clean hotel: lobby, bar, elevators, halls, and rooms. Valet crew was elite. Always attentive, always moving with urgency, and one dude even went pretty far out of his way to open the door for my lady when I was picking her up out front for no other reason than out of kindness (give that man a raise) Concierges were kind. Only needed two quick interactions — check-in and check-out. Parking garage has a good system. Always prime spots open and it was well lit all hours of the day and night.

Check in was fine, but we discovered there were no linens for the roll out sofa bed. We called the desk and they sent linens up. Then we went about out day in Chattanooga. When we came back that evening after 9pm, we discovered there wasn't a mattress in the sofa bed. So we call the front desk and their only offer was for us to switch rooms. We had already unpacked and in for the night. So, I went downstairs to speak the desk folks and they said the manager was away and would be back shortly. I waited and 10 mins later she showed up. I let her know what was going on (she was aware) and she was not nice about it. She said their only offer was to move us to another room. I asked for something in return such as a future comp or a 50% refund on the current room. She said she could only offer to comp our $20 parking bill. I expressed that was not adequate and she - very curtly - said that's all she could do because we booked through a 3rd party. We had to agree to move rooms (it was after 11pm by this time). No one apologized or made any serious attempt to make up for their negligence (no linens or mattress for the sofa bed) and the managers attitude was terrible. We will never visit this hotel again.

One-night trip, solo. Great experience overall. Was able to get a late check-out as needed. Two hiccups: the call for dine-in took me to an automated message requesting "room status" that I could not resolve - front desk took my order. A microwave in the room would have been helpful.

Lisa Chaney front office supervisor was an excellent host. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay in Chattanooga Tenn for our wedding anniversary. I recommend you stay at the Marriott Downtown. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks again Ms Lisa Chaney.

Lisa was great at check-in and helped us find a great place to eat within walking distance. She went above and beyond. Our valet attendant was fantastic as well. Hotel is in great location, quiet and clean. Great bar with delicious charcuterie plate for late night dining and drinks after a concert at Memorial Auditorium.

We accompanied our daughter as she attended the FBLA conference. The room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet with hundreds of kids in the building. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We didn't know there would be thousands of teenagers on the property. Once they checked out, we had a nice, quiet weekend at this solid Marriott property. It's situated between the two city areas of restaurants and shops and both areas are easily walkable.

Amazing deal for the price. Food is kind of expensive and no free breakfast. As long as you aren’t expecting 4 star hotel or higher it’s the best place to stay as far as bang for your buck.

Air conditioner didnt work on arrival and had someone come to fix it. It was quickly done andnworked after.The kitchen was not good. Cooks couldnt follow directions.

We enjoyed being close to the great restaurants and the college. Breakfast was great and the guys had a blast at the lobby bar. It was a fun night. Everyone was super nice and valet was reasonable and convenient.

We arrived at hotel and automatically could see the valet was pretty busy so we decided to park ourselves. We spoke with one of the valet workers and they helped us with the cart for our luggage and even help take to our room on the 7th floor. The room and bathroom was so neat and clean. Downstairs had everything you needed from bar, to the restaurant even the convenience of the store for snacks. Much needed 2 day getaway. Thanks Marriot Downtown Chattanooga. Oh and the night time musicians that played by the bar was outstanding👍

Friendly staff. Arrived latter than expected and was still able to get a meal at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast buffet was better than any others we have had.

Only drawback was restaurant wasn't open much. Certainly understandable given difficulty getting staff these days.. The coffee shop was very helpful and good for a quick bite. Often very busy, but staff handled it well .

OMG!!! We had only a one night stay but it a perfect! The young man that check us in was GREAT. The location is perfect; close to restaurants, lounges and my favorite...The Chattanooga Market on Sunday morning. For a quick getaway it was perfect. See you very soon for a longer stay. Our room was ready for us upon our 0800 arrival - a very pleasant surprise! It was clean and had all the usual amenities. The staff was outstanding, especially the Front Desk Manager Lisa. Due to medical issues we did not utilize the Housekeeping staff but they cared for the other rooms diligently and on a daily basis. The food was very good and plentiful, served downstairs in the Lobby/Bar area (lunch/dinner), and on the second floor for a breakfast buffet. The Lobby/Bar area was pretty noisy in the late afternoon with large numbers of people congregating, but the noise diminished as the people did. The City of Chattanooga sponsors a free electric shuttle bus traversing the business areas and has a stop at the hotel - very convenient. Everyone I interacted with in the hotel/city was very cordial, helpful and friendly. A small convenience store/snack shop is also just off the lobby area.
