Hallways smell and elevators still inoperable

I would like to use the 2 cooking eyes that are currently not working.

Non-functional vehicle on the lot with at least one flat tire. I only stayed one night, but the next day, someone dressed as "Security" was working under the hood of a vehicle with a woman inside. The man who appeared to be the manager and patriarch requested a $100 cash deposit on a $53 ( taxes & fees) pre-paid room. The deposit wasn't mentioned at all before this, but the advertised breakfast was a lie. He directed me to Starbucks when I inquired in the morning. The elevator didn't inspire confidence, and there was no inspection certificate. I encountered a couple of questionable characters in the halls (someone with lit cigarette, presumably on his way outside, and a guy remained on his phone near the window by the stairs at the end of the hallway and almost directly outside of our room), but I didn't feel threatened. The room itself wasn't bad for the price, but the ironing board wouldn't let down and the iron (presumably a replacement) didn't seem to fit in the wall hanger. The bed was clean and very comfortable, but they don't dust at all and there were three items left in the room (a food container, a plate with the sticker label/UPC intact, and a hamper lid too big for the trash bin it was sitting upon) besides eating utensils. The floor seemed clean, but there were several months' worth of dust on the desk/table and the chest/TV stand.

Rooms have a small kitchen area with sink and stove, convenient for longer stays. The room did show its age, with older carpet and trim peeling away by the floor in spots, but was still clean and didnt smell, and there werent any stains on anything. Bed was decently comfortable. I would stay here again.

I would like to cook on the two cooking eyes that are not working. Perhaps i can get a discount, or at least get them to work.

After travelling hours to get there we was informed it did not have cold water and would not until the next morning. We have to take the stairs because the elevator is not working. As we are walking to the room the floors in the hallways were nasty and had trash in them. We was told there would be a $250 for smoking. We got to our room and the smell of cigarettes was horrible. We called down to the desk and requested to switch rooms so we would not be charged. When we got to our other room it smelled bad and the only clean thing in the room was the bed sheets thankfully. My wife walks into the bathroom only to find the light doesn't work. We left the very first thing the next morning. Aside from the attendant this is the worst hotel I have ever been to. I would not recommend this place to nobody.

I don't like the fact that neither of the eyes for cooking is not working.

Currently my family is staying here until my apartment is ready. I love how they acknowledge the unbelievable amount of crime here in Memphis by only allowing the guest to occupy the room and their children. It may come off as strict but my family feels completely safe. There is less traffic coming in. They are very attentive. I have a toilet issue in my room but was told I could move to another room if I chose to. Very accommodating. The most thing I love is the laundry room. They also have a trash room. Feels like home away from home. I must say the guys are very much protective of their property. They keep the grounds and area clean. If you follow their rules you’ll have a great stay! Enjoy

The bullet proof glass should have said enough. Rough area, no amenities, no ice, sticky floors in room, dirty counters. I felt like things were crawling on me as soon as I sat on the bed. The bed was terrible, very uncomfortable and the head came off of the ground when I sat at the foot. The pillows and the mattress needed to be replaced 5 years ago. The remote didn't work, but the staff did bring me one that worked.

We were immediately told that they were booked and that our paid reservation would not be honored. Then we were given a room on the third floor and the elevator was broken. Carrying our bags up three floors was very difficult. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke. There were no hangers and no blow dryer. There were cigarette burn marks on the counter in the bathroom. The parking lot was filthy with litter everywhere. Sketchy people hung out in front of the main entrance and there seemed to be some type of transactions going on. The reception host was helpful. Her name is Divine. She was the only bright side of the stay.

There was trash under the bed, the carpet was filthy, there were dead cockroaches in the room, and the halls smell like weed all the time. For the price, it's really not worth it

This is the worse most dirty and smelling like strong mariguana smell, guest smoking drugs on the parking lot & inside their vehicle, parking lot, hallways & rooms have a horrible drug smell on top of that a loud dog was across my room, roaches, flies in walls, floors was so disgusting and most disappointing experience.

Bathroom completely dirty, shower dirty, floor nasty, everything was dirty except the bed. Kitchen sink had a ring around it. And the microwave was smelly, and nasty

Check in was easy and the attendant was nice ( Only positive thing about this place). As soon as we opened the door to the room we were blasted with an awful odor, room pictures definitely didn,'t match. The fridge that was in

This was by far the worst stay. We moved to two rooms. The first room the air conditioning did not cool the room so we slept hot. Then there were dead roaches. The second room we had alive roaches running around the kitchen area, bathroom, and in the bed. There was no house keeping, or anything else to the terrible stay we had. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK AT THE HOTEL ITS CATFISH

Entire place was dirty and there was roaches on the refrigerator. The walls and floors had stains and the bath room shower curtain was covered in black mold.

Looks great on the outside, but inside is a different story. We had a broken night stand, lights that didn't work, sticky stuff on the tv stand, the bathroom smelled funny, the shower didn't drain well, saw roaches, and the curtains were broken and didn't close properly.

Place was filthy, mold on the curtains and in sink, smelly odor, filthy microwave and outside of fridge, bugs, and overly re-used linens.

It was OK. Not the cleanest and some holes in the sheets, but it’s alright for a one or two night stay traveling through.

The hallway stinks really bad and the elevator plus carpet is very dirty.

The room was large and had kitchen in it that was out dated but for our short stay it was fine

It was very nice having a full size fridge

It was better than expected. Only disappointment was the stove not working but they did have an accommodations for that.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is older but our room was clean. For the price it is what you would expect, nothing fancy but it was a restful night sleep. We stayed for 4 nights.

My stay was ok the tv was out for u can say 3 days just sitting in my room. They did not accommodate me at all just knock on the door at 11:00 sharp making u leave.

Front desk was amazing and fast and easy.

Staff was horrible and rude

As I was leaving, I dropped my wallet. The staff called me and told me to come back and get it. Nothing was missing. The staff here are very respectful, and always greet me with a warm welcome. I love this hotel.

I checked in and found out later that the hotel has a zero visitor policy. I understand limiting visitors with concerns of prostitution and human trafficking, but I was there for business and had people I wanted to come to my room to work out the event I was doing. One staff threatened to kick me out no refund if I had a visitor Rest of staff nice Tv also didn’t work for the first 4 days I was there.

The hotel is extremely quiet and the staff along with management is quick to respond and resolved any issues with your room.

Its within walking area to a lot of places. Management and staff resolve issues quickly. It's quite and the rooms are larger than most places. It's more like a studio apartment. Highly recommend but I do think that the longer you stay that the prices should go down

Decent location for a quick place to get some rest for the night

The place reeked of weed. The frontvdesk staff were friendly,watched a drug deal go down in the parking lot. We love Memphis and hate to see it fall down to this level.

VERY GREAT LOW KEY HOTEL LOCATION

I don’t know who they pay for the positive reviews. The property is so run down and dirty. The front doors are locked - you have to use a dirty phone to enter the doors to get to the reception area. I felt very unsafe. They’ve got drug dealings going on in the parking lot. Once I saw the room I tried to get my money back and leave but since I prepaid, you get nothing back. Expedia did not help either. They said that the property did not want to refund my money. Maybe if they showed real pictures of the property, I wouldn’t have even given the property a second look. I guess Expedia doesn’t care about the customers that use their site and stay at the properties on their site. DO NOT USE PRE-PAY. You can not get your money back even if you don’t spend 1 second in the room. Good luck to you if you stay here.

Disgusting roaches everywhere . Dirty stained carpet . Stained shower curtains . Person was shot right in front of my window

the hotel is advertised as having complementary breakfast. IT DOES NOT HAVE COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST. THIS IS FALSE ADVeRTISING

We were so blessed to stay here while our house was getting ready! Love the staff! Nice laundry room. Dogs stay free! Having the kitchen was really great. It’s not luxury but it is comfortable and allows our dogs so we are very thankful. God is good all the time!!

I think the price charged was a rip-off. It looked and felt like subsidized housing. Laundry room right off the lobby, VERY limited breakfast... we even ran into someone whose lived there for 5 years! PLUS... the chemical smell in the room was horrendous... it's like they were trying to kill everything breathing in the room... including me. I threw up all night.

Most of the staff were great found the one night staff male not very friendly and did not even register that we had a registration allso we had our credit card scammed and had to cancel our card and have a new one sent the breakfast was good and the room was good

I didn't like the fact that I called and was told they had a smoking room. I paid for a smoking room online however when I got there I was told all rooms were non smoking. Also you have to pay a deposit to get cookware. They give you only 1 plate, 1 mug, 1 skillet, and 1 spatula for a 50$ deposit.
