We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, though a bit dated. The pool area was nice, and the clubhouse and restaurant were excellent—everything we ordered was delicious. Service was great everywhere, from poolside to the restaurant, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The activities were fun, and prices were reasonable. Overall, a very nice place and a good value.

Great resort, they catered really well to family with small children. They had bouncy houses set up with karaoke night on the patio, pool area was fun with the waterslide. Definitely coming back over here. Highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway.

This COULD be a gem. Beautiful surroundings, golf course, kids pool, fire-sites at night…the problem is inconsistency. It’s impossible to get hold of anyone in the restaurant to book a table, the menu is laughable - few menu items that are all contrived (trying to be a top steakhouse), and overpriced, yet the service, presentation and food is TERRIBLE. Reheated baked potatoes, two sirloins that were tough, sinewy and had to be sent back twice. A hostess who shook her hear when we changed our request from a booth to a table. A cocktail drink that was forgotten. If they simplified the menu, added items that were less grandiose and employed a manager that wasnt past his sell-by date this place would be magic. The golf course was mediocre at best, yet wanted $125 green feed for hotel patrons, ok by NY standards but this is small town Texas! (Check the course reviews, patchy) The rooms were a good size, furniture tired though and bathrooms were circa 1980’s. The pool was great but staff turned up when they felt like it (they were required for tye slide so we as parents eventually figured it out) and we never saw a barman despite a well stocked fun looking bar. This really is a diamond in the rough-as my wife said, a resort wannabe staffed by untrained country folk…nothing wrong with that, they were all friendly, just untrained…i had to assist with opening of the $95 french pinot noir and advise the waitress who to let taste, etc. Owners, call me & i’ll turn this around in 6 months

There is no spa or hot tub as advertised. No place to hike. Im sure a summer visit would have been better - you could at least use the pool.

This "resort" was probably the place to visit 30 years ago. They have invested in the golf clubhouse, pro shop, lobby, and main building but the rooms likely haven't been updated in 25+ years. We paid to have a suite, it was large, the bed was nice, but otherwise it was in rough shape, the bathroom had broken floor tile, peeling wallpaper, the tub filler spout wasn't even attached to the wall. We also had ants in the bathroom the first morning. We went for a weekend getaway and were excited to relax by the pool, but that didn't really happen. We went out to the pool area about noon on Saturday, the entire outdoor bar had been overtaken by a birthday party for a small child, with decorations, streamers, matching shirts and 25-30 people easy. Then after that party ended, in the area by the pool where you could play corn hole and similar was overtaken by child's birthday party this one included bounce houses, a bubble foam cannon, and reception tables setup for like 40 people. The resort had a small pool area for adults only, which becomes irrelevant when it is surrounded by bounce houses and down range from a bubble cannon. It felt more like a Chuck E. Cheese than a resort. At nearly $250/night for the room, 'resort fees" and taxes, it felt more like a 2-star hotel masquerading as a resort.

Be aware of the following: The bathrooms need MAJOR updating. I’m talking the cracked/loose tile, missing grout, and yellowing wallpaper are like something out of a 1981 horror movie. Drain cover missing. Mold growing under the caulk in the shower. The tile is deadly slippery when wet! Yikes! It’s like they got halfway thru the remodel and gave up (or ran out of money). The exterior of our building (#3) was scary with the yellow light bulbs and the crumbling second story walkway. Buyer beware: there is no elevator to the second floor rooms. You can opt-in to a first floor room if possible. Imagine dragging your full suitcase up the stairs…it’s comical. The food at the on-campus restaurant was “ok” but I would recommend going in to town and eating somewhere else. You will need to drive between your building and the clubhouse/front desk, so bring your own vehicle. I can’t even imagine if it was raining. Honestly I would consider the accommodations more of “Motel”-like with exterior doors, dark, dimly lifted stairwells and walkways. Not sure why they are not updating this place fully after almost 45 years. Oh also the “king” beds are NOT standard size. Anyway, all that to say i would come back if I could confirm they have any rooms with recently updated bathrooms. The location and the pool atmosphere was great. The clubhouse is beautiful and the live music was fun. So I’m torn on if I’d stay here again but not sure there is anything better in town.. Maybe a VRBO?

Beautiful grounds located in hill country just outside Boerne. It was so peaceful here. They had tons of activities planned for the kids (and adults) for Spring Break. The amenities were really good. We spent a lot of time at the pool. In the evenings, grab a smores kit from the front desk and find one of the many fire pits around the grounds to roast your marshmallows.

The main building of the property is beautiful but the rooms need to be refreshed. Check in was at 4p but we didn’t get our room keys until 5p along with many other guests. There was no apology or compensation offered. We were told we could wait and go to the pool but not given a key to get in. The adult pool does not have enough umbrellas or seating and is small. You are not allowed to bring your own snacks or food to the pool. Happy hour prices are not valid on the weekend but are advertising otherwise.

The resort, overall, was fabulous. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated but they are roomy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff is top notch! And, the pools are clean and beautiful as well as the grounds. The golf course on site was also fun and in good shape except the greens had some issues that they were trying to overcome. All in all... I would stay here again!

The pool bar was closed as soon as we got there. You couldnt use the water slide because they had no lifegaurds. There was confusion because of a show there. They wouldnt let me in the restaurant bar till the mgr. Stepped in. I loved the firepits

The rooms are old and need to be updated. We had a lot of dead bugs in our room and while I appreciate that most were dead, the room was obviously not cleaned prior to our arrival. Also, there was hair in the bathroom tub and sinks, definitely not what I wanted to see. The pool was nice and the staff were ok for the most part, but I wouldn’t spend my money here again.

We loved the pool area, plenty of seating and lounge chairs, there’s a poolside bar with drinks and food. The room was clean, beds were nice. The room was in desperate need of paint and wallpaper in the bathroom, both were peeling and chipping. There are no elevators in the buildings. We went to the clubhouse for lunch, never even saw wait staff, sat there for 15 minutes and left. The only other real negative was the noise from the room above us. It went on until almost 2am, no answer from the front desk when I tried to call. Other than that, it’s a nice property, the front desk person (John) was very helpful and friendly.

The room was particularly small and dark, with a dampness on the bedding because of the humidity in the room. We upgraded for a view even though they advertised the room had multiple views. Our view was of a yard with a fence. The room wouldnt cool but the thing that helped our decision to leave was the roach crawling across the headboard. We lasted about 45 min. in there and called front desk to let them know why we were leaving. Then I saw that we were charged for the room the day before we arrived. Terribly disappointing since we were there to celebrate 25 yrs of marriage.

We really enjoyed our stay and so many nice people work at this resort! The views of the gulf course were beautiful and everything was kept looking clean and inviting including the pool with a waterfall!

I went with my husband. The food was okay (the steak was good) but overpriced. The room was not as clean as I would have liked, and the tub was small. Because of the room, I'd rate it a 3.5/5. The shower did not drain; I fixed the curtain and they had a band-said on peep hole, the mirror wasn't cleaned.

The main building is nice. Food was just ok. Very pretty scenery but the rooms need a major facelift. Our room was not very clean, beds were not comfortable, TV did not work properly, there was a faint smell of cigarettes and the Kureg had dirt and debris in the area where you add the water. For the price we paid I expected a lot better! Doubtful I would stay there again unless they made huge changes to the rooms.

The music was great. The waitresses at night were awesome. The views and clubhouse were stunning. The pizza was really good...breakfast was okay. Enjoyed the walking trail. Our room smelled musty and there were bugs and crickets in the bed and bathroom. Beds were good overall.

The lobby, bar and restaurant were really nice. The room is old and had a musty smell. The bathroom door was wedged up against the toilet and had to be pushed to open. The balcony curtain rod came apart when opening. The anniversary strawberry’s were hot and the anniversary drinks with chips were not good. The bed is so uncomfortable and the room was way too small to enjoy.

This "resort" was probably the place to visit 30 years ago. They have invested in the golf clubhouse, pro shop, lobby, and main building but the rooms likely haven't been updated in 25+ years. We paid to have a suite, it was large, the bed was nice, but otherwise it was in rough shape, the bathroom had broken floor tile, peeling wallpaper, the tub filler spout wasn't even attached to the wall. We also had ants in the bathroom the first morning. We went for a weekend getaway and were excited to relax by the pool, but that didn't really happen. We went out to the pool area about noon on Saturday, the entire outdoor bar had been overtaken by a birthday party for a small child, with decorations, streamers, matching shirts and 25-30 people easy. Then after that party ended, in the area by the pool where you could play corn hole and similar was overtaken by child's birthday party this one included bounce houses, a bubble foam cannon, and reception tables setup for like 40 people. The resort had a small pool area for adults only, which becomes irrelevant when it is surrounded by bounce houses and down range from a bubble cannon. It felt more like a Chuck E. Cheese than a resort. At nearly $250/night for the room, 'resort fees" and taxes, it felt more like a 2-star hotel masquerading as a resort.

Be aware of the following: The bathrooms need MAJOR updating. I’m talking the cracked/loose tile, missing grout, and yellowing wallpaper are like something out of a 1981 horror movie. Drain cover missing. Mold growing under the caulk in the shower. The tile is deadly slippery when wet! Yikes! It’s like they got halfway thru the remodel and gave up (or ran out of money). The exterior of our building (#3) was scary with the yellow light bulbs and the crumbling second story walkway. Buyer beware: there is no elevator to the second floor rooms. You can opt-in to a first floor room if possible. Imagine dragging your full suitcase up the stairs…it’s comical. The food at the on-campus restaurant was “ok” but I would recommend going in to town and eating somewhere else. You will need to drive between your building and the clubhouse/front desk, so bring your own vehicle. I can’t even imagine if it was raining. Honestly I would consider the accommodations more of “Motel”-like with exterior doors, dark, dimly lifted stairwells and walkways. Not sure why they are not updating this place fully after almost 45 years. Oh also the “king” beds are NOT standard size. Anyway, all that to say i would come back if I could confirm they have any rooms with recently updated bathrooms. The location and the pool atmosphere was great. The clubhouse is beautiful and the live music was fun. So I’m torn on if I’d stay here again but not sure there is anything better in town.. Maybe a VRBO?

People were great, very friendly with the exception of the gift shop attendent. The waitresses at the restaurant was super attentive and friendly. The room was OK, bed was comfortable Room was very dark, and the bathroom was not the greatest.

The rooms are really dated, furniture is not in good shape, the bed though is comfortable as well as the pillows. The bathrooms really need a complete renovation. The resort part is in good shape, nice golf course, nice pool with a little sport bar by the side. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The main building were the reception is located is nice , modern, has a restaurant that serves decent food, but it was understaffed. The restaurant closes really early at night.

Great resort although it is a bit tired. The bed was super comfy and the room a good size but the bathroom is dated. The clubhouse and restaurant is modern and well presented although during a torrential rainstorm the balcony roof leaked like a sieve. Staff were friendly enough although rule followers with no flexibility on how customer should work over their process. I would stay again. Pretty good value for money. The Chicken Fried Chicken dish in the restaurant is the best.

Room was not ready to check in. The receptionist promise to call me when one was ready. After and hour and half I went to check if it was ready, finally it was ready . Unfortunately I had only 30 minutes to get ready for my nephews wedding. The new receptionist just apologize.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, though a bit dated. The pool area was nice, and the clubhouse and restaurant were excellent—everything we ordered was delicious. Service was great everywhere, from poolside to the restaurant, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The activities were fun, and prices were reasonable. Overall, a very nice place and a good value.

They left a nice card for us celebrating our anniversary. Had a great time, lovely place. Upon check in, found our room was warm with AC issue. They immediately moved us into a new room and were very accommodating.

Very dissatisfied in our room quality. It was outdated, there was mold and there was no amenities that I expected. They gave us a key at check in to someone else’s room, we went so far as to open the door and a family was inside already. A staff member also entered our room with our do not disturb sign on to bring food we did not order while we were not inside our room and left no message with it. I will not recommend or be back to this establishment again. Our dinner at the restaurant was also very poor my steak was terrible quality I was spitting out bites due to toughness and gristle. It was the most expensive get away and I expected it to be much better than what it was.

We loved the pool area, plenty of seating and lounge chairs, there’s a poolside bar with drinks and food. The room was clean, beds were nice. The room was in desperate need of paint and wallpaper in the bathroom, both were peeling and chipping. There are no elevators in the buildings. We went to the clubhouse for lunch, never even saw wait staff, sat there for 15 minutes and left. The only other real negative was the noise from the room above us. It went on until almost 2am, no answer from the front desk when I tried to call. Other than that, it’s a nice property, the front desk person (John) was very helpful and friendly.

This is advertised as a resort. The front desk is small and the building where you check in has no rooms. It’s where all banquet halls and restaurants are. They give you a map to the building where the rooms are. It’s like an old apartment building. The staff do not go out of their way. Just average and leave you alone. During our stay the power went out at 3am. We had to leave due to them not having a backup generator. They didn’t offer any type of compensation or a comped room. Just the BS walk around. It’s not worth the money to stay but great to have a wedding or golf. The property is nice. Water looks murky. Not lake front. The rooms are nice size but bathroom is disappointing.

There was no apology or compensation offered. We were told we could wait and go to the pool but not given a key to get in. The adult pool does not have enough umbrellas or seating and is small. You are not allowed to bring your own snacks or food to the pool. Happy hour prices are not valid on the weekend but are advertising otherwise.

When I went to check in at 4pm our room wasn’t ready, even though I had booked a month in advance. One night we were asked to leave the adult because the whole pool area was reserved for the evening. Room service never cleaned our room in four days. I didn’t realize the resort was as old as it was. It needs some updating and the water pressure was awful. Couple of bright spots the pool was great, pizza best thing on their menu, and there was one young at front desk that super helpful.

The resort is nice, but maintenance needs to be kept up in the rooms. The rooms and electrical are old. The wall plug sparked and burned out my phone charger. Also all hotels used to have room cleaning. This is now "upon request". I guess to lower costs.

Other resorts in the area have nicer rooms, but the they are more crowded and don't have the lovely grounds that this resort does. I do recommend checking your receipts. We were charges twice for the pet fee and received the wrong bill for dining. I don't think this was intentional and everyone makes mistakes, but it was a bit disconcerting.

It was a cool place out in the hill country. We were right across the road from the golf course. The pool area was neat and had lots to do. The rooms were a bit dated and needed some care, but the staff was great.

Beautiful grounds located in hill country just outside Boerne. It was so peaceful here. They had tons of activities planned for the kids (and adults) for Spring Break. The amenities were really good. We spent a lot of time at the pool. In the evenings, grab a smores kit from the front desk and find one of the many fire pits around the grounds to roast your marshmallows.

Location was great between hills . It was also 10mins drive from Boerne City center which made it convenient to try different restaurant options. Resort os pet friendly. Staff was courteous. Property is well maintained but rooms could use an upgrade.

Great resort in an amazing location for a weekend family getaway. The room was very nice and the pool area was great for the kids. That being said, the rooms could use an update. Everything was clean but looked old, specially the bathrooms. Breakfast buffet was overpriced, basically the same breakfast you would get at a Holiday Inn but in a fancier presentation. If it was included it would be great but at $20pp it is not worth it. At the price point, in general it exceeded our expectations and we would definitely come back. Plenty to do in the area as well.

This COULD be a gem. Beautiful surroundings, golf course, kids pool, fire-sites at night…the problem is inconsistency. It’s impossible to get hold of anyone in the restaurant to book a table, the menu is laughable - few menu items that are all contrived (trying to be a top steakhouse), and overpriced, yet the service, presentation and food is TERRIBLE. Reheated baked potatoes, two sirloins that were tough, sinewy and had to be sent back twice. A hostess who shook her hear when we changed our request from a booth to a table. A cocktail drink that was forgotten. If they simplified the menu, added items that were less grandiose and employed a manager that wasnt past his sell-by date this place would be magic. The golf course was mediocre at best, yet wanted $125 green feed for hotel patrons, ok by NY standards but this is small town Texas! (Check the course reviews, patchy) The rooms were a good size, furniture tired though and bathrooms were circa 1980’s. The pool was great but staff turned up when they felt like it (they were required for tye slide so we as parents eventually figured it out) and we never saw a barman despite a well stocked fun looking bar. This really is a diamond in the rough-as my wife said, a resort wannabe staffed by untrained country folk…nothing wrong with that, they were all friendly, just untrained…i had to assist with opening of the $95 french pinot noir and advise the waitress who to let taste, etc. Owners, call me & i’ll turn this around in 6 months

(Check the course reviews, patchy) The rooms were a good size, furniture tired though and bathrooms were circa 1980’s. The pool was great but staff turned up when they felt like it (they were required for tye slide so we as parents eventually figured it out) and we never saw a barman despite a well stocked fun looking bar. This really is a diamond in the rough-as my wife said, a resort wannabe staffed by untrained country folk…nothing wrong with that, they were all friendly, just untrained…i had to assist with opening of the $95 french pinot noir and advise the waitress who to let taste, etc. Owners, call me & i’ll turn this around in 6 months

The resort part is in good shape, nice golf course, nice pool with a little sport bar by the side. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The main building were the reception is located is nice , modern, has a restaurant that serves decent food, but it was understaffed. The restaurant closes really early at night.

This is a 2 star hotel. 1980' restrooms and thermostat. It smelled bad and leaky faucets. Dining was rude and poor. Terrible stay not worth more than 40.00 a night and they charged over 150.00 per night.

Great resort although it is a bit tired. The bed was super comfy and the room a good size but the bathroom is dated. The clubhouse and restaurant is modern and well presented although during a torrential rainstorm the balcony roof leaked like a sieve. Staff were friendly enough although rule followers with no flexibility on how customer should work over their process. I would stay again. Pretty good value for money. The Chicken Fried Chicken dish in the restaurant is the best.

Nice stay. The food and service from the American style restaurant was excellent. I really enjoyed the live bands they had. A bunch of cool activities for kids including a resort style pool with huge slide, different fun contests and games like watermelon eating contest and dodgeball. Like others have said, the rooms could use some updating but all in all pretty nice! The bed was super comfy. I also enjoyed the patio off of the living area. So peaceful out there. I would stay again!

Really beautiful property. Rooms are a little dated, but overall, it's worth the price. Other resorts in the area have nicer rooms, but the they are more crowded and don't have the lovely grounds that this resort does. I do recommend checking your receipts. We were charges twice for the pet fee and received the wrong bill for dining. I don't think this was intentional and everyone makes mistakes, but it was a bit disconcerting.

Had to call maintenance to come spray for wasps but only killed a few. Has to be running in and out of the room but my niece got stung. Ants bit my granddaughter at the pool. Beds were very comfortable. Front desk didn’t even ask how our stay was.

Everything was perfect from start to finish on our 2 night stay as we were celebrating our anniversary. We were pleasantly impressed with finding some chocolate covered strawberries in our room. The room was so inviting and huge! The adult pool was a big plus and we enjoyed it very much. Our next night we attended the Summer Luau and it was amazing. This was our first time staying here and look forward to another stay in the future.
