Super 8 by Wyndham Cleburne

We liked that sonic was next door. We didnt like that no one answered the phone call when checking in the first night that we even had to go to another hotel for a night. The next day we were able to check in at 11am. The ice machine was broken down the whole time. The housekeeping did a great job.

No working pool

Good stay. Wished pool was usable.

The hotel didnt have any ice there was no coffee, there was no forks or spoons to eat breakfast with there was mold on the danishes, it was terrible

This hotel property, while not bad, could be so much better with a few changes! Room was clean and general areas were clean. Breakfast was just meh, nothing too great. Our biggest reason for part of the 3 star rating is based on the stinginess of providing basic soap, shampoo, and COFFEE, especially given that this was a booking for TWO people over 4 nights and had to ask several times for more! The pool was drained as well so didn’t get to swim and cool off in that TEXAS HEATWAVE! Overall, not bad but with a few updates and a little generosity, this hotel could be great!

The room had some issues, toilet kept running, the water from the shower went all over the floor. There was feces on the bathroom door and on the wall by the sink. The air conditioner never got cold even though we put it on 65 and it made a terrible noise. Biggest mistake staying here. Never have had this issue before when we book on line. The pictures and details on the website do not match the establishment.

The walls where thin, you can hear neighbors. When you took a bath, the shower head would be dripping on the floor and on you. The room was clean, the lady took my trash each day I was there. There wasn’t much parking space.

Althought the pool is permanently closed. The rooms were super clean, the breakfast was great and the customer service was awesome. Ill definitely be staying here when I'm working in the area again.

Desk clerk did not know anything about the area. Could not answer any of my questions about hwy or any of the local attractions. There was a very shady character with a shopping basket cruising around the property. No ice machine. And for this hotel to carry the Super 8 name it sure was not up to that standard.

The rooms were adequate. The water was terrible. There was no ice available.

They have bed bugs and refused to refund me .. because I didn't see them until my forth day there . I feel that we there it was my first or last day it's there responsible for knowing if they have them or not

Disgusting motel , the floors were nasty , I took a shower and from the shower to the bed my feet were black, room was stinking ! It’s a cheap hotel but I rather sleep in my car then here again

Bedbugs and lice

We wanted a non-smoking room. I signed a rental disclosure stating I would not smoke in this room. The room smelled like smoke and there were covers and sheets with cigarette burns on it. Not a good start. The floors had residue and needed to be swept.

I immediately check the beds for bugs, and there is bugs!! Bed bugs- tons of them. I did not get my daughter or our things out of the car, i immediately asked for a refund and she offered a different room. I said no I wanted a refund. So now I wait for Expedia to return my money because I refuse to stay with bedbugs and being that home!

Beware of this hotel. We stopped to check in and just drop off our bags before leaving to a state park. On a quick run to the restroom I saw the tub had rust and dirt, but thought it wasn't much, so we left. Upon returning, the room felt humid and warm even though the AC was on. The floor looked damp and when my daughter took off her shoes she said it felt wet. I took a hand towel to see if it was wet and the towel turned filthy brown, as if I was mopping. There also weren't enough bath towels even though I specified the amount of guests upon booking, so I had to call the front office for some. At first the night employee told me they were all in the washer but then called me back to tell me he had an extra one. I told him about the dirty floor but he seemed hesitant to believe me so I had to show him a picture. Upon further inspecting the room I found mold on the bedsheets and called again to say I wouldn't stay for a second night with my young children. I'm glad that at least I didn't have an issue with check out and they refunded the price for the second night without a hassle. It's the least they could do, honestly. It's too bad because this hotel has such much potential with a great location and a pool that just needs to be fixed, but it's evident owners and management are not invested.

It said on the web page all rooms have coffee pots. This room 130 didn’t. Leaky tub all night long. Bad shape. Peeling tub! Smelly shower curtain! Big dirty brown handprints on the backside of the bathroom door! Gross.

Some of the towels (hand towels) were either dirty and or stained. Gross. Need to update the bedding as well. Looks like it’s from the 70’s.

Sheets were stained, there was a cord running from the sink to the tv that was help up by tape, the tub was in bad shape. It wasn't what I was expecting for sure when I walked in to the room.

Started out a little noisy with road noise but come 7pmish super quiet! We stay in a lot of hotels and this one is a nice one we will stay at again when we are back in the area. Best sleep I have had on the road in a good while! :)

Where to start? No smoke detector, chain was ripped off the door, floors made our feet black, the TV was zoomed in to the top left quarter of the screen making it unwatchable, no USB charging ports. We asked for a different room and were told there were none available. I looked on Experian and Wyndham’s websites and both showed 5 of our type of room available. When I pointed this out to the front desk clerk he told me I had to request a different room within one hour of check-in. I told him I wanted a different room because we weren’t comfortable with the door not having a secondary lock and the room didn’t even meet fire code. He texted his manager and after over an hour he gave us a different room. We finally got into the new room at 10:15pm and this one didn’t have a smoke detector either. The TV had lines running top to bottom, but at least we could see the entire screen. No clue how this place had a 7.0 review score. I understand you get what you pay for, but the room should at least be safe to sleep in.

My room was a joke but it worked for a quick overnight stay. The sockets on the north wall did not work, they actually ran a extension cord with duct tape from the sink area to power the tv, microwave and refrigerator, the smoke detector had a bag over it, the bath tub constantly leaked water and the door knob to the bathroom was broken. This was in room 106

The location was close and convenient to the wedding venue. I know it's an older hotel, but some maintenance will make it a good place to rest your head.

Overall, a good value. The room had a few issues. The smoke detector was open with no battery. The mini fridge was plugged in across the sink area and the cord was a tripping hazard. The light switch did not work and 2 fixtures were either missing bulbs or burnt out. The bed did not have a bedspread and the 3 pillow were extremely lumpy. The room was clean and bedding & towels were very soft. They staff was pleasant.

The property was ok but the bed was hard. The shower was not working right was going everywhere.

My stay was terrible. It took forever for the heater to work in the room. There was no hot water for a shower. Trying to watch tv I had to move the tv from the original spot and have it sit on the desk just so I could see it cause they had left an old tv stand in the way.

This place was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I called in advance to make sure there wouldn’t be an issue with my ESA and they said it was ok. We stayed two nights and went to stay another and they wouldn’t let my husband get into our room. My dog didn’t do anything wrong at all. The owner followed me through the parking lot yelling at me.

Check in was a bit slow. After waiting, I rung the counter bell once. No answer. I could here kids laughter in the background. Ring again. Answer, will be right with you. More waiting. Finally, someone comes in lobby door. I filled out pre-checkin forms and pre-paid. Still a bunch of questions and request for credit card? Finally... Was courteous, just tedious.

I reserved a non-smoking room. Arrived at 5:30 PM on the day of the reservation and was told they did not have a non-smoking room. After driving three hours, my only choice was to take the smoking room. When I went into the room, the bedsheets were completely nasty on both sides, the Coat closet rack was on the floor and off of the wall. So no place to hang up your clothes, the TV was plugged into an extension cord that was running all the way across the room and across the bathroom sink blocking access to the bathroom sink. This room should have been completely taken out of service. When I called the front desk the rude b*** said there was nothing she could do about it because it had been 30 minutes since I checked in Which it had not been. It had only been about 10 minutes which only allowed me enough time to check the room to see what all was wrong with it. She refused to do anything about it. The property is completely nasty and I literally had to leave the room at midnight because the smell in the room made me gag. I will never stay at this property again and I would recommend anyone even considering it to just drive on down the road and go someplace else this place appears to have bedbugs also!

desk person was helpful, "Hotels" made an error and gave us a smoking room after non-smoking selected. Its a smaller hotel, but, is adequate for a place to stay.

I asked for more pillows. There were 2 per bed. He said “don’t you have pillows?” I said yeah but they’re super flat. He said “well I don’t have anymore.” Then I asked for towels. We had 2…and I had two kids with me.. he said “I’ll give you more when you bring the others back.”

I’ve stayed here several times now and the rooms are always clean and it’s a great value for the price. The staff is also very accommodating. I really appreciate them.

The room was very clean. The location, in spite of being on a major street, had little traffic noise. The residents were quiet and well-behaved. I didn't sample the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. The maid did ignore the Do Not Disturb sign, and made up the room even though I didn't feel that it was needed.

Fridge did not work, had old food in it. When i called the front desk she unconcerned and told me to rotate it. No coffee pot but had the coffee filters and coffee for it. It was dirty. When i asked her if i can go to the same room i was in last time she said someone had that one already but that one was by me and i went and looked and it was empty. Very poor service and i will not be back. To many better places to stay at the same or close to the same price.

almost nothing to eat around

Our room was not very clean, the heater didn’t work, the bathroom fan didn’t work and the safety latch lock was busted off - we had children with us so that was a big safety issue. If we had been staying for more than just sleeping we probably would have left and went somewhere else or asked to change to a better room. On the plus side The location is convenient, it was quiet and the front staff was friendly. The beds were decently comfortable.

Floors were sticky, coffee pot missing pieces, lamp shade torn, bedspread had spots from not being washed, shampoo and soap containers empty. In breakfast area, coffee dispenser didn't work - employee didn't know how to fix it. Wasn't concerned or knowledgeable. Do not plan to stay at any super 8 hotels after this one night stay.

Breakfast included, but there’s not a variety, cereal, toast, oatmeal .. i was looking forward a waffle but their waffle maker cooks waffles half way..other half is raw ..

Don't come for the breakfast, that was a let down. However, the property was clean and updated.
