Location was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Just basic hotel rooms. The pool was popular with many guests. Great for a one night stay. Short walk to the beach. Breakfast was chocolate chip muffins only. There is a Waffle House in front of the property and a McDonald’s a short walk towards the beach.

Aside from the parking lot being a bit tight, it was a great place to stay. It felt safe and secure. Definitely clean and updated property!!! Value a block from the beach!! We loved our stay!

Floors felt dirty, sand simply stuck to it. The beds are absolute trash. So very uncomfortable. The blankets are extremely thin, when my husband went to the front desk to ask for two extra blankets they told him, "as policy, we can not give out extras"!?!?! After some complaints he managed to get ONE extra blanket. What a joke! We actually PAID for these county jailhouse cots and sorry excuse of covers. Room is clean, kinda....bed sheets had stains on them. The curtins do not close all thw way. Homeless people were all over the parking lot. As well as at check in, there was a sign stating that they refuseto rent any local Galveston or surrounding area residents....the lady at the desk told me because they hope to keep the drugs and prostitution at bay, by doing this.... if only we would have been able to cancel and not lost our money, we would have walked out then. After a long day at the beach, sleep for us and our toddler was so desired, but our room was directly in front of the very basic pool.... same pool we wanted to swim in earlier in the evening, but it had a padlock placed on the gate and we could not get in, they allowed a group of people to loudly party and swim well after 11, when pool is stated to close at 10. Breakfast should not be advertised AT ALL. They offer juice and coffee with some pathetic "muffins". ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PAYING FOR THIS PLACE. Only good thing about this place os that Waffle House shares the parking lot. Never again 🙄

The pictures are LIES! I had 2 rooms for 2 nights. The pool is not 24 hours as advertised. They didn’t have cable or smart TV’s. One room didn’t even have a TV. The AC didn’t work so one was moved. The next room was filled with the odor of weed and we had infants and the refrigerator didn’t work. They moved that room to a new one because they couldn’t figure out who was smoking and the new room didn’t have AC. You get 1 rag, 2 towels and 2 face towels. No blankets on the beds just 2 doubled sheets.

I booked 2 queens. When I got there - they put me in a king. I was traveling with my almost 10 year old twin daughters. When I got to the room, I went back and ASKED if we could have two queens like I asked for. She said that since I had booked through an outside source they didn’t guarantee availability. But ALL 4 nights I walked down the passage way and could see into windows of rooms with NO guests (the SAME ROOMS- multiple rooms with TWO BEDS) I even said that sleeping with twins this age in one bed feels like you’re sleeping with ninjas and she laughed. But still would not move me. Towels- two. That is how many were in the room. So I went to the desk and asked for more. And a third pillow- desk clerk acted like I was being selfish for wanting more than one towel per person (we all have long hair) and one pillow per person. Also, don’t say it includes breakfast if it is my choice of: 1. Awful coffee 2. Stale blueberry muffins 3. Yucky looking mini cinnamon rolls 4. Two types of juice? (Only if two types is both orange!!!)? No cereal even. I mean how hard is that!?’ AND- in the 4 days we were there- the tiny pool had a lock on the gate all but the first day- when my girls were able to swim for about 45 minutes. (One day was rainy- I will give them that- but the other two- it should have been open.

As far as breakfast included- it’s a muffin. Check in easy but not much info as far as ice machine, breakfast, etc. Room was ok- upstairs which was a pain with luggage as there is no elevator. None downstairs available.

This was only an overnight stay, It was cheap which was good. The property was well kept and clean. Staff was courteous. the room was spacious and had a good set up. little front room area with a couch and table the adjacent area had the bed, a dresser, TV, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. So everything you could need. THE ONLY BAD THING was as soon as you opened the door to the room that musky, moldy smell hit you straight in the face. IT WAS HORRIBLE. There is an absolute mold issue. Not sure it if is in the walls or in the A/C unit but the whole room stunk to include the bedding. My husband woke up with a total swollen face especially around the eyes we are guessing from an allergic reaction to the mold due to having to breathe through a C-Pap machine and it intensifying the stench. We can't complain about the cleanliness except the mold. The offered breakfast as it was called consisted of some mini muffins, coffee and juice. Which was not even worth the stepping into the lobby area. Might as well just stop serving period. We walked over to the WaffleHouse. which brings us to the very convenient area this hotel is located to stores, restaurants and even a Krogers as well as the convention center are in walking distance. I would stay there again IF the MOLD would not be an issue.

The front desk was very nice but there were cobwebs on the walls and hair everywhere on the lampshade and beyond. The bedspread had some questionable spots on it. I didn't want to touch anything in there and it made my stay uncomfortable.

Had all kinds of red bumps that started itching and later found out that they were bed bug bites!

No issues, other than just make sure to wear socks in the room. Don’t think the floors get deep cleaned.

room was not as clean as should be. we both took showers night of arrival and after walking around barefoot that night and the next morning, the bottoms of our feet were black!

My room was not cleaned well. I found food items left behind. There was hair and dirt on shower walls had not been cleaned. The bed was very hard, and the sheets were stained and looked terrible.

Rooms were clean. We did have a hiccup with our room we didn’t get a king like we had booked and they did give us another room.

This hotel offers good value for money. It is within easy walking distance of the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean, although they appear a bit dated. The WiFi and TV worked well. The air conditioner in the room was extremly noisy (as if it required a service) but kept the room sufficiently cool. The bathroom was adequate and the shower water pressure was good. There is no breakfast service, but a complimentary coffee service and and a very small selection of pastries is available in the main reception area. Overall it is a good choice at this price point.

It was located in a quiet spot behind Waffle House. The room was huge and pretty clean, minus all the gnats in the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable and extremely squeaky. The pool was nice even though we didn’t swim. The parking lot is spacious, and Kathy was super kind & helpful. Overall it was a good stay, and we plan on coming back!

Good hotel. Beds were uncomfortable and made noise when you got in and out. They were on metal frames.

With the number of cruise guests that come and go, I'm surprised that this hotel has not been upgraded. It's old. The rooms are dark and dingy. Overall the hotel was ok.

Location was hard to reach, other visitors were extremely loud, bed was too old (mattress was caved in).

This hotel is a little outdated. The bed was not comfortable at all. I could feel the springs in my back, and I did inform the girl at the front desk however, she did not offer any type of compensation for it. She just asked what room I was in and shook her head.

Very nice property, large room, easy parking, quiet

We booked here for 2 nights prior to a cruise. Booked 2 adults 1 child. Got to the “front desk” to check in. Front doors locked at 830. Had to check in behind glass in a tiny vestibule. Lady super rude and disrespectful. Got to room found king bed and love seat. Thought child could sleep on loveseat. No additional bedding. 2 pillows on bed and nothing extra. Went back to ask for bedding told they had a sheet and nothing else. No blankets no pillows. Hubby waited until next staff arrived and at least got a pillow. Woke up ready for their breakfast to find mini muffins, juice and coffee. Nothing else at all!!! Had to walk to Waffle House and getting our grandson something to eat. Not expecting that at all. Returned and booked a Uber to get out of here for the day. Got back to still dirty room. Grabbed food from grocery store next door to warm in microwave. Which we had to clean noticing Rust throughout. Ugh! Thank gosh we get to leave soon. Definitely disappointing stay. No USB in room Beds very uncomfortable Run down and depressing No food for breakfast Unfriendly staffing

First room smelled very bad. The girl at the desk was rude when we asked to change. Said we should try some place else. Gave us a second room which didn’t smell. Certainly not worth the $177 we were charged for one night.

Check in was easy ! Decided to extend another night and we were able to stay in the same room. Erica made things easy for us! Special thanks!

It's just "meh". The location is behind a waffle house. There's no direct access to the property, you have to drive through other parking lots both directions. The first night there was a homeless person sleeping next to the dumpster at Waffle House. At check-in my key card did not work. I went back and she fixed it, but then the next day it did not work. I was told it was only activated for a day, by the same person who checked me in for a 4 night stay. We had a king room and there were only 2 pillows on the bed. There were also only 2 bath towels. My daughter mistakenly used one as a floor mat for the shower, so she went to ask for more pillows and towels and was told that there are NO extras. The following day I just took extra towels off the cleaning cart myself. There's no housekeeping at all. Floors are vinyl so the sand from the beach just lingered the entire time. I put trash outside my door each door, but there were no extra bags, I just used my own shopping bags. The breakfast options are non-existent. They should not claim that they serve breakfast. They have a juice machine and a pastry cabinet that had muffins and mini cinnamon rolls. That is all! No cereal, no fruit, no toaster, no hot food, no silverware because there's no food being served that requires utensils. So do not factor in free breakfast, plan on getting that elsewhere (again, Waffle House is next door). There is a grocery store next door, we bought milk and ate our own cereal in the room.

The actual location was confusing for most Uber drivers but its literally behind The Waffle House. Overall, a location for us to lay our heads at night from an outrageous day of touring Galveston. A bit off the main area at the Seawall but not a bad area either 👍

Stayed here for one night while I waited to cruise the following day. I was very happy that there were many restaurants within walking distance because I didn’t have a car. I didn’t want to Uber or Door Dash food. Waffle House was just a few steps away!!

property clean and easy to get around. breakfast was just cold coffee and a muffin. terrible. they kept turning off my key for my room every night i had to go re-do it at 11 pm. till the last night I went and it was because of their problem running business that they did not give me paper work to sign so they locked my room. this is unacceptable.

Room was okay. It was clean and bed was fairly comfortable. Shower was huge. Nothing extravagant...just a plain room. The price was fair for the time of year and season. Breakfast is really not okay. You get a choice of tiny muffins or tiny cinnamon rolls. Both were stale. For the price they could afford to put out a few more choices. Waffle house is in the parking lot so plus. They did have coffee with a choice of half and half or vanilla creamer. For a quick overnight stay I would do it again.

Breakfast was the worst I ever had. Just tiny muffins, coffee and orange juice. To stay one night before cruise perfect.

The check-in was quick and friendly. The motel is conveniently located and very close to the beach. The room was extremely clean and in good condition. The bed was not very comfortable, but adequate. The free breakfast was nonexistent. There was coffee and hot water for tea, but nothing more than a small number of tiny muffins. Not the usual breakfast selection, such as yogurt and fruit or hard boiled eggs or waffle machine.

Hotel was clean. But there were a few bugs running around. Bath tub was worn out. The finish was coming off and there was a large rusty hole in the side of it. Switched rooms halfway through stay and the second room was much better. Staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast is orange juice and sad muffins, but it’s close to waffle house.
