Shilo Inn Suites Hotel

The indoor pool heater was broken so it was cold, the hot tub was so hot, and there were no pool towels for guests. Several machines in gym weren’t working and didn’t have a posted sign. The bed was terrible, I woke up in such pain! Wouldn’t recommend

There is no breakfast on Mondays or Tuesdays and it's not free. Neither the Hot tub or the pool were working, problem with electricity is what I was told. They both looked like they were down for awhile. It's a shame this used to be a Very nice hotel.

The room was spacious and clean, however the TV has very few channels and it’s an old tube style TV. The hot tub and pool were nice but the sauna/steam room were out of order and the paint is really peeling badly over the pool.

Pool was disgusting look like lake water murky the hot tub had a bunch of dirt at the bottom and the rooms are outdated it had a tv from the 2000s. Not worth the price property needs to be updated.

The hotel is run down and understaffed. They ran out of towels and a guest got stuck in the elevator while we were there so it was shut down the rest of the stay leaving one elevator for the whole place. The carpet in our room was filthy so much that I kept my flip flops on when not in bed. The microwave had crumbs, rice, and burnt on pizza cheese stuck to it. The hallways had no AC running, the hallway carpets were old, torn, stained, and rippled so much it was hazardous. The comforter had a piece of pizza cheese stuck to it from the guest before as well as a oil mark on the vinyl headboard where someone’s head rested before us. The make up mirror had finger printers and smudges all over it. I’m not a picky person but this was unacceptable. They charge a hefty price per night due to the location right next to the conference center but you’d be better off paying less at a motel 6 and having a better experience. The place needs a new owner/ investor to bring the property up to its full potential.

The pool was dirty and green. Indoor pool area smelled of algae and was super hot. Was not usuable. Steam room was broken. No breakfast. The bed was very comforable. Tvs are super out dated and no channels. Rooms were clean.

Staff was great- friendly, helpful. The ac plug for the coffee machine not working, the elevator was down for a bit.

The property was old, outdated, carpet was old & buckled. Elevators were not working had to use the service elevator which required staff assistance. Pool area was in need of repair and updates. Gym was very nice. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Hotel needs serious updating throughout the entire hotel. Needs to be brightened up. Still using TV's from the 80's, no TV in sitting area in room. Needs updated TV's in rooms. Beds were ok but everything needs updating throughout. We were on the 4th floor and it was very quiet which we loved. It made the stay pleasant.

The hotel itself was nice. The staff was welcoming and greeting us any time we entered the lobby. There is no free breakfast but they do have a restaurant where you can order on site. However, our room was not clean at all. My child's feet were black from the carpet, which was pulled away from the wall a good 3 feet next to the bed, there was curly black hair in the bathtub and the sheets had specks of stuff on them. We got a good deal for the night, but we'll probably go somewhere else next time.

Dirty bathroom, outdated furnishings. TV reception was horrible. Awful quality. Rude staff in the morning. Late/early morning hour was nice. Bathroom smelt horrid. Cockroaches in the hallway. Crunchy towels. Floor creaked and popped everywhere you step. Amenities were so so. Gave a dirty crib for the baby, had to have it swapped. First smelt of cigarettes and mold. She was very polite and corrected the issue promptly. The walls are peeling. Outdated carpet. Did I mention the bathroom— DISGUSTING.

The property itself was great! Good location, great staff. The cleanliness of the room, on the other hand was pretty bad. There was still trash in the room. The toilet hadn't been cleaned and the refrigerator was dirty. Luckily, housekeeping came in and cleaned everything up. They even brought me a skillet to make breakfast in! Overall, it was a good weekend stay

The staff was pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked perfectly. More attention needs to be paid to the cleanliness of the rooms (toilets, bath tubs, bed linen, carpet, etc. Also, thank God I took my own body wash with me as those samples wlarent even enough for one per lson to bathr once with. Also seeing that the room was equipped with a microwave.. maybe you could provide small plates along with the glasses as well. Overall I had a peaceful stay.

Hotel rooms seem dated. Also, the white pillow cases were dirty, dingy, and did not look fresh.

I have stayed at this location before and we noticed its an older hotel but this time was a horrible experience. The sheets were dirty and it was from the feet section. We noticed because there were bugs in my bed and I took all the covers off. I have bug bites all over my body. It was past 2 in the morning when I woke up withese bug bites which itched and hurt. I advised them in the front desk and the female just said they would check and said have a nice day and continued with what she was doing at her desk.

The staff was welcoming and professional. And the room was very clean. Will be coming back on future visits.

This was a quite hotel, but it was dated felt like I was living in the 90’s , the room was large but it felt like I was staying at an out dated motel, human DNA was everywhere, housekeeping definitely doesn’t know how clean a room properly, there was a dirty wash cloth left on the night stand! Human stains on carpet!, this place could be a nice hotel if they invest in the property!

I did not like the antique tv. I had this same tv as a teenager and it does not provide closed caption. All of the stations were old ones.

Everything was good, quiet, comfortable. My only complaint is they need to upgrade the tvs. They are small and from the 1990's.

Bed pillows were like throw pillows instead of regular size. Lamps didn't work. No USB ports for charging.

Everything was ok, but need some updates. Bigger Television smart options. More towels and rags without constantly having to call desk.

Rooms, and TVs need updating if they even work. WiFi is poor and unusable. Staff is very friendly and attentive to issues.

The hotel was very nice and clean, the only complaint would be that the TV in the room was an old box tv from the 90’s. It was really old and bad

The room was a very nice size. Howevere our room was right across the hall from the Alamo conference room. They had 2 parties while we were there. It was kind of loud

The staff was amazing! Great people, especially Andrea. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The poor rating is because this hotel is so outdated and uncomfortable for the money. The bed felt like it was at least 20 years old. The tv didn’t work because it was literally a zenith from 1999. They replaced it with a slightly newer flat screen that got 4 channels. Finally, the bathroom was clearly used to lock a dog in it as you can see huge chew marks and chunks taken out of it without any attempt at repair.

The property was very clean. They were in a very quiet area what I did not like about the property it could be updated. The television looks very old and the telephone.

Prior military service, and I would stay at this location with family back 10 years ago and it was luxurious and welcoming! This recent stay There was no family friendly activities other than adult friendly activities, and the front desk receptionist was rude, and treated us with disrespect, the pool was closed for cleaning and didn’t know when it would reopen said the maintenance man was gone for the day, also No breakfast at all like back then, and they charged 175 a night, the hallways smelled terrible, the room was partially clean, although the AC was nice and cold, the pull out mattress was spotted and no linen had to call and ask for linen To cover the mattress, receptionist was rude over the phone, and we asked for more towels, and she asked how many people were in my room, because she saw a big group walking in, and said she has to document everything she brought up to the room, and was profiling my family! This hotel went downhill over the years, and at night time all the night owls came out and were up and down the hallways smoking in the rooms and doing adult services from what we heard, receptionists should worry about what was going on with the night owls and keep tabs on the traffic that was up and down the hallways horrible experience and

When I first checked in, I met Linda at the front desk check-in and she was absolutely amazing and friendly. She made me feel very welcome for the two nights that I stayed there. I checked in with my two fur babies and she welcomed them with treats. My room was clean and well stocked. My only negative about this place is that it does not serve breakfast in the mornings. With that being said there is a restaurant attached to the hotel. The price was very affordable and the beds are comfortable.

We didn’t get maid service , beds not made up, was told clean towels would at least be brought to the room and that never happened !!! , not happy with the service at all for the price, since there’s no continental breakfast offered we thought the service would be better, so I don’t recommend them

The hotel personnel were very courteous, and they showed that they appreciated us being a guest in their establishment. Great customer service. We will be a repeat customer.

Great service

I checked in on 11/17 before 12am but didn't get up to the room until later as a friend and I had just driven from 5hrs away and decided to get food before turning in. We got back to bring our things up at about 2 but as soon as we opened the door, you could tell either the room was not pre cleaned, or we speculated that the room was still occupied. We told the front desk and the lady apologized and worked on finding us another room. I was told I wouldn't be charged for the room for that night due to the inconvenience. We ran into the overnight manager as we were headed out to hang out with friends and she too said she was notified and will take care of it. Once We checked out on 11/19 the staff that morning said they had no knowledge of what was going on and they had me write down my contact information and would get back to me Monday. I have yet to be told anything and the charges have not been modified.

Needs some “tender lovin care” Pool doesn’t look inviting and the restaurant was closed. Hotel is large, not many customers but could be the time of year. Staff is very pleasant. We stayed here for the convenience from Military base and Killeen airport shuttle.

This place is clean, up to date, and chocked full of amenities, the staff is sincerely friendly and eager to help. The location is central to anything you may be looking for. The pool and gym are more than adequate. It's the only place I stay when I come back to visit Ft.Hood.

Decent hotel. Pros: I chose Shilo after scouring reviews on other hotels in the area. This place has the best reviews for cleanliness, which is my first requirement for a hotel. While some things need updated (i.e hallway carpet) overall the cleanliness was great. I'm a person who uses a flashlight to check things...under the bed, shower and corners of the bathroom, pull back all blankets and sheets, check mattress seams for bugs, inside refrigerator etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment I scheduled until I left. Which isn't something I come across at hotels any more so it was refreshing. For these 2 reasons alone, I will stay here again. Cons: Heat was inconsistent so that was mildly annoying, the walls are thin which wasn't a big deal until Saturday night and I could hear all the partying from everywhere! The people in the room next to me were up late partying and I could hear everything they were saying as if I was in the room with them. I had to be up at 3am to catch a flight so I wasn't happy. And lastly, no fault of the hotel but location wasn't ideal for me. I was unable to get a rental car and was at the mercy of the people I was visiting. This hotel isn't located in a place where you can walk somewhere for coffee or food and the hotel didnt have breakfast. Overall, I was pleased with my stay. I will definitely return.

For the price, it was terrible. No maid service until after 3 days staying there (we only stayed for 3 nights). The floors were so dirty. My feet turned black from walking on it barefoot. The tub had a slimy film. The TV remote didn’t work and we never received a replacement. Oh, and the ice machine on our floor was out of order. The reason we picked this place was because it was within walking distance to the Special Events Center. The staff was kind but everything else was highly disappointing.

There wasn’t a restaurant, but there were restaurants close by. This place needs to be updated. But overall good for the money.

The go-to location in Killeen for overnight and extended stays. They have a restaurant / lounge. The children love the year round indoor pool. The rooms are spacious and the staff is accommodating.

Good location

Staff was very friendly and helpful especially Giselle. I enjoyed my stay & the convenience to everything. The hotel could use some updates, but for the price & location it was overlooked. Room was clean, spacious & had a decent kitchen. Great stay! Memorable event.

The hotel was nice, but there is no restaurant or bar as advertised. The room was clean but one of the beds were not properly made and was really lumpy. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the pool and fitness center was great. I recommend this property.

This hotel used to be amazing. The only reason I booked it was because it’s the only hotel in the immediate area with a full service bar and restaurant. Upon pulling in, there was a sign at the street advertising their lounge and restaurant. While checking in, I overheard guests complaining about the restaurant not being open. I asked the lady at the front desk about it, and she told me that the bar was not open either because they lost their liquor license. At this point, I just wanted to get my money back and leave, but I decided to give it a chance. They put me on the third floor, And while walking to my room, I noticed signs on the elevators and on the ice machine, apologizing for the inconvenience that they were not working. The room was aged, the whole hotel just needs a remodel. Paint was peeling and badly stained above the air conditioner and the bed was rock hard. I needed some bottled water but the vending machine on the 3rd floor would also not work. Found 1 on the 4th floor that worked but when the bottles came out, the water was WARM! Paid almost $2 for warm water. Woke up at 5am because I couldn’t no longer take the hard mattress and went down to the lobby for coffee. My expectations were already low that there’d be any kind of continental breakfast but never in my life have I stayed in a hotel that didn’t have complimentary coffee. Guess what? There was no coffee. There was a lil coffee maker in my room but it wasn’t stocked. NEVER AGAIN.

They were supposed to have a restaurant come to find out the restaurant has been closed down for renovation. They have a breakfast area, but no breakfast not even coffee. I tried to talk to the lady at the front desk in the morning about where I could get coffee and she wouldn’t even come to the desk. She just sat back in the office. The bed was very firm, but I do have to say the hotel was very clean and no weird smells. I just wish they would’ve had something in the morning at least coffee. I did have a coffee pot in my room, but there was no coffee and no creamer. Just a couple packets of sugar and sweetener.

Didn’t like the fact that it says Breakfast for a certain price but when we went to go eat the restaurant was closed the entire weekend we were there that was an inconvenience

Great hotel, great price. Only hotel in Killeen and surrounding area with free airport shuttle. No restaurant or bar at the time we stayed but remodeling in progress we were told.

Good rest, comfortable bed. No restaurant, no food or coffee except what was in the room.—just coffee.
