Because of renovations many of the features were not available. The indoor pool area was never cleaned during our multi-day stay. Our room had not adequately been cleaned before we checked in. Disappointing.

Awesome hotel. The price was a little higher than other hotels, but it was worth it. You will feel the welcoming environment right at the moment you set your first step in it. The swimming pool and the fitness center were awesome as well.

Pool had stuff floating in it both days. No towels in pool area both days. Called for TV listing and man at front desk that checked us in not friendly. He said he’d call maintenance for the listing, not sure why and put me on hold. Hung up after holding over 5 minutes and him not coming back. Figured he had my room number so he’d get back to us, nope. The folks cleaning tables at breakfast Sunday morning were nice. Nice quiet area.

The room was clean, everything was in working order. It was spacious and very comfortable. We had breakfast both days and the options were plenty and delicious. The staff was courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The only negative was the one working elevator - it did cause minor safety concerns.

This was a tough review for me to write. I booked this property because they said on the website “ Free Airport Transportation “. After I landed at Laredo Airport early in the afternoon and called for transportation, I get the “No one available to drive the van “. Totally unacceptable. If you don’t always have a driver, take it off the website. I was not offered the reimbursement either for me paying for my own transport. Other than that, The property is clean and the room was wonderful. Also the front desk personnel were very polite and friendly. I don’t blame them on the transportation issue, that’s bad management. Before writing this review, I left an E-Mail and phone number ( With Expedia to forward to the property ), to give them a chance to explain their side. No reply back, it’s been a month now. I’m still undecided if I will return to this property, due to bad management. DL

Embassy Suites are always nice. I did find hairs, almost matted on the counter in the bathroom. The shower did not drain either so that was a little gross with standing water in the tub as you’re showering. Food was good; bed was comfy but pillows were too soft for me.

Check in was fine and the clerk was very nice. But, when we were settling in our room we found a pair of socks from I assume the previous occupants. Then, we wanted ice and found there was no ice bucket in our room. But, what was really disappointing is the shower. The floor around the drain has shifted over time(I assume). Because every time we took a shower we had to build a wall of towels to stop the water from flooding our room. When I reported it I was told they were booked and could not change rooms and a manager would contact(no one ever did). I was then told because I booked through Hotels.com I could not get any kind of discount or refund. Again the clerk was professional even when I was upset. But, no manager ever reached out to me. Just disappointing overall.

We did not have a good stay this time around. The ac unit in the bedroom made an unexpected loud sound every time it activated (extremely noisy), water seeped onto the room’s hallway floor during a shower, the excitement/ celebrations during happy hour could be heard along with anyone walking down the hall and or entering their room. I will say the breakfast was excellent.

Súper low water pressure. It was so inconvenient to shower as a man, and was even worse for my girlfriend. Desk Staff was basic and seemed like they didn’t like their job. The Spanish speaking maintenance and cleaning staff always smiled at me and were super sweet.

Pawn Chicken in I arrive 10 minutes early. The lady upfront by the name of America. Start acting real route trying to charge me $75 if to check in 10 minutes early. So she took me off the line and after that, a lot of people started coming in and she was checking them in so I stand back in line took like 25 minutes to check In and ask for to keys. And she told me she can only give me one because she has to serve the other people so that made me feel uncomfortable Because al the other people in front of me, all of them got 2 keys. Accept me

At arrival to hotel they had overbooked! Check in staff was rude and just didn’t care at all. She just said unfortunately there’s nothing we can do didn’t even offer to help find another hotel. We had an event so we had to get dressed in a gas station bathroom and drive 3 hours to get home st 4:00am.

We have stayed numerous times at Embassy. This was the first time I was not pleased. I requested early check-in and that did not happen. I could not even get an answer over the phone prior to my stay. As soon as we checked in at a later time, we called front desk to report that the televisions were not functioning. We waited for about an hour and no one showed up. We took the kids to the pool and still no one had gone by to take care of the issue. The worst part of the visit was the AC. Our room was hot the entire time. It did not cool at all. Regardless of how low the temperature setting was, it remained at 76 degrees. We later heard from another resident that the entire floor was hot. On top of that only one elevator was working on our last stay and it took us about 30 minutes to catch the elevator that allowed us to check out.

Loved the interior feel, with all the rooms facing inwards towards the common area. Continental breakfast was amazing!! Lots of food options, and hot foods too!! Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice to sit on the couch in the living room as needed. AC unit was kind of a problem, worked when it wanted too. This place is pretty quiet with the occasional kid running down the hallways. Didnt expect such a large hotel in such a relatively small town. But it was a nice surprise. Would definitely stay here again!!

The breakfast was the reason we stayed there we got to the line by 9am and the food was cold. I asked to warm up they said they couldn’t. Just to go back into the line and get it again. I asked for manager and the chef came out to warm up my food. Bad service

I have mixed reviews for this stay. PROS: 1. I ordered the salmon from the menu at the bar and it was delicious. 2. The staff are all extremely gracious. CONS: 1. The phone in my room did not work, neither of them. 2. I had the handicap accessible room, and the shower water flooded the entire bathroom and into the hall as well. 3. The water coming out of the sink has a gas coming out of it that smells like perm solution, which indicates a bacterial backup in the water lines. 4. The air conditioner would not go down to the requested setting, so the room was too hot for me. After I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they changed my room, and everything worked in there, but this morning the smell I the water was still there. 5. All the soda machines at each floor have been removed, so now you have they them in the gift shop. 6. The "Happy Hour" food provided is raw broccoli florets, raw baby carrots, cheese cubes, and ranch dressing. Also there are tortilla chips and what looks like gravy, but I was told it was salsa. The "free" drinks use the CHEAPEST alcohol possible. 7. When you book here, book directly with the hotel, as since I used a third party booking site, they couldn't help me with any discounts.

As soon as you come through the lobby door you are greeted with an overwhelming smell of mothballs. It’s bad and it’s all throughout the hotel. The room itself was nice but our AC made knocking noises all night. We couldn’t enjoy the free happy hour drink or breakfast because of the mothball smell. Also, only one elevator was working for the entire hotel (which seems to happen often based on other reviews) so it was a long wait each time we needed it. I would not recommend staying here until they fix these issues.

Llegamos y la habitación no estaba limpia, que supuestamente ya no tenían housekeeping por la hora y que no había manera de limpiarla ni tampoco tenían otra habitación. No había jabón, shampoo ni acondicionador, el telefono para llamar al Front Desk no funcionaba asi que cada vez que tenia que pedir algo tenia que bajar al lobby. No funcionaba una lampara, no había control remoto de la televisión y los elevadores no funcionaba apropiadamente. Fue la peor experiencia que he tenido en éste hotel.
