This place is a motel, not a hotel. The bathroom door did not close, and the shower was lined in mold. Dirt and dust built up on the baseboards and behind the bed. The parking lot is full of potholes. This place is old and dirty and needs to be demolished.

I travelled with a person in wheelchair, so in the reservation I asked for a room in the first floor. When I arrived they gave me a room in the second floor and far away from the stairs. There are no elevators, so I had to carry the wheelchair and the person. They did not respect the reservations conditions and they did not offer any help.

There was no effort to maintain the exterior of the building. Rooms were cleaned. But not maintained. Trash cans sat in the middle of walk ways, litter surrrounded the exterior and the pool even though tooncool tonise was filled with leaves and debri.

Hallway was dirty. Debris on the hallway. Construction going on. If there is Construction thing why wouldn't you do cleaning of rooms daily. It gives your hotel ambience cleanliness and order. Front office said they do not do room cleanings on a daily basis to rooms with multiple day stays.

This location was absolutely terrible. Not only were the pictures inaccurate but, the room was disgusting and dirty. Our room was not ready at time of check-in.The bedsheets were stained. There were stains in the bathroom, curtains and AC units. The toilet top was unhinged and it smelled. The lights did not all work or flickered and the outlets also did not work. When we requested extra towels or any type of assistance, we were always given an excuse. We requested extra towels and clean sheets and they stated that they did not have enough to give us at that time. Our reservation was for a week and unfortunately, we were unable to get our money back or stay at a different hotel. So we cleaned the hotel ourselves. We basically had to fight to request more toilet paper. The pool was also disgusting. It had food wrappers, leaves sticks and brush floating around. All the chairs/tables were stained and broken. They even stated on day of check-in that the pool had been cleaned the day before. Upon further investigation, the location is in an unsafe area in the neighborhood. Would not recommend to stay here. I have more than 20 photos, but it will only allow me to upload eight we typically do not leave bad reviews, but this experience was horrible.

I usually do not leave bad reviews- however I feel called to warn other families that this place is NOTHING like the photos or any other LaQuinta’s I’ve stayed in. The only plus is that it’s a few minutes away from the border so it’s convenient if you’re traveling a long way and need a place to rest briefly (like we had to do, traveling to and from central Mexico from Chicago). However, the towels, tubs, pillows, air conditioner and floors are all stained and don’t seem to ever be cleaned thoroughly. The AC had an inch think layer of what looked like gray cloth all over it (years of accumulated dust), the tub had black stains and tiny holes (??), towels had yellow stains and hairs on them, and the white pillows had black stains (?!). The area outside the rooms was filthy as well - huge piles of accumulated trash under the stairwells. This was worse than a motel and I would not recommend his for a family at ALL. Or anyone really, unless you are REALLY finding yourself in a tough financial bind and have absolutely NO other viable options.

There was a strong smell of mildew and urine in the room. It was dirty overall, but the bathroom was disgusting! After a 12 hour drive with kids, I just wanted to give them baths and let them rest. I wouldn't shower in that tub with shoes on, let alone put my children in it. Never again. We could've stayed somewhere cheaper for the same quality. I guess at least now we know.

Worst hotel experience ever. The place was old, outdated and dirty. We all came home with bites and rashes. Had we not been in a hurry to get to a funeral viewing we would’ve left. We gave it the benefit of the doubt despite the look of the place but it was worse than it looked. The front desk guys had zero personality, we’re unfriendly and being the first person we encountered they totally missed the mark. Incredibly bad all around. Regret having stayed the night but after working all day, driving 4 hours and a few more at a viewing we wanted to get some rest but that didn’t happen. I felt dirty after staying the night. Never again will I try another La Quinta hotel. Stay away, run.

My room had NO deadbolt lock. I was scared! Had to block door with chairs. Sink bowl cracked and fixtures were not attached to sink bowl and the Wyndham bed cover was visibly filthy I reported this at checkout the clerk seemed unconcerned was not polite or helpful

Customer service was great but the room itself was very under kept. The carpet was wet from the AC dripping water and the restroom floor was coming off. The toilet did not want to flush and was hard to manage.

The shower water was warm, not cold — so after a day in 106-degree weather, no cold shower for you. I even found a cockroach in my room. On top of that, I had to get my entry card reactivated every day, which never happened before. The staff’s excuse was that I probably kept it near my phone, which I did not. Housekeeping didn’t come by at all, and when I asked, they said they only clean every third day. This was my third stay here, and the service just keeps going downhill. This will be the last time I stay at this hotel.

Front desk male personnel was rude stated I had a reservation from a third party company and said it didn’t show on system to call them and I also asked for a lower room because of my elderly mother and said none were available went outside contacted expedia and they emailed me my reservation info took it back to him and I had to be firm with him suddenly he says oh I found a room downstairs second night door key didn’t work had to go to office and get it fixed no problem with the hotel room

Never again will I book at La Quinta inn in Laredo Texas and neither should you. Not because of the hotel but because of the staff. The man at the front desk I did not get his name but has a tattoo on his hand tried talking no not tried he spoke to my me and my wife as we were dumb . I understand we have to pay a deposit he explained it as apples and bananas or oranges like we did not understand. Sir I have booked in hotels all over the USA. Anyways when I came back with cash deposit he said he had canceled it. Very disappointed with the staff. He said his manager told him to cancel. I did not speak with management and am not thank you Expedia for clearing up mistake. If u go to Laredo TX avoid La Quinta Inn as they say no bueno. Again not the hotel itself the staff!!!

The man at the front desk I did not get his name but has a tattoo on his hand tried talking no not tried he spoke to my me and my wife as we were dumb . I understand we have to pay a deposit he explained it as apples and bananas or oranges like we did not understand. Sir I have booked in hotels all over the USA. Anyways when I came back with cash deposit he said he had canceled it. Very disappointed with the staff. He said his manager told him to cancel. I did not speak with management and am not thank you Expedia for clearing up mistake. If u go to Laredo TX avoid La Quinta Inn as they say no bueno. Again not the hotel itself the staff!!!

This property is a much older property and should be used by experienced travelers only. The rooms were clean and the overall area was quiet especially for the location. The TV and shower worked. However, the grounds were dirty, trash cans over flowing, the staff was average upon check in. The desk clerk in the morning could not be bothered to turn away from his phone to direct the breakfast guests. The area is small and the "breakfast" is scattered. There were large rats running through the parking lot in the morning. That is not the fault of the hotel but it could be a bit scary for the less experienced traveler. The area was not well lit, the back gate to the property was open, and overall it did not feel really safe. In the morning seeing the security guard with a kevlar vest did give me some comfort but it also raised a number of issues. For me the value was not there given the other properties in the area.

It was clean but the furniture was beat up. It wasn’t the nicest area, but very close to the border. More like a motel than a hotel. But staff was nice and helpful.

I paid extra for this hotel because of the promised free breakfast. However, upon check in was told that they had "some issue" so that only coffee would be served. Also, went to wash my hands in the rooms bathroom sink, only to have the water not drain.

The floor & curtains were dirty. The sheets had hair. You can feel the springs on the beds. It smelled horrible even though it was a non-smoking room. The bathroom was all rusted and dirty. Breakfast was not provided either. They did not have milk or orange juice. Machines was broken.

Room was rather dark. There were fecal stains on the bath towel (it had been washed, but the faded stains remained). The orange juice in the continental breakfast was barely flavored water. Otherwise it was fair-to-good.

We were there on a quick trip and just needed a place to stay for the night. Upon arriving, the place seemed decent enough. The staff was meh. They did not provide information as to check out, breakfast or where to find my room until I asked. The room was clean although we noticed that the A/C vent was in dire need of cleaning. The door had a huge gap on the bottom, so we had to put a towel down to block the hot air from entering the room since the room was not cooling properly (we had the thermostat set at 67). The bathroom was missing the toilet tissue holder and there was a hole above the showerhead. The overfill drain on the tub was not left with a huge gap, which seemed like they were not finished with the job but needed to rent the rooms out. I will say that the new paint color was really pleasing and the bed was quite comfortable and parking was great for such a tight spot. I did inform the desk clerk of the issues at checkout. I don't think we will be returning to that particular hotel.
