Rodeway Inn New Braunfels - San Antonio Area

This motel is a scam. It is a bait and switch. The photos show there being a hot tub but it is filled with concrete. The photos show a large lobby with breakfast buffet. No lobby exists and definitely no breakfast at all. The photos show them cleaning but our room had fresh blood, ejaculation and hair on the sheets on both beds. They were clearly just remade, not washed. There was also no coffee maker in this room. We moved to another room and bothe the fridge and microwave didnt work, not to mention they were covered in mold. We had food in our cooler and needed to use the fridge. We also had leftovers we wanted to heat up. They have a big sign that says no refunds. And a hand painted one that says you park here at your own risk. The listing made it look so nice. I chose this one over several in that area of the same price because of the hot tub and larger breakfast. I regret that. I could have had a clean hotel and somewhat of a breakfast anywhere else! So beware! Stay at travel lodge, days inn, studio 6, anywhere but there. They lied and told expedia that i never rose any complaints at all, which I did! They even had a maintenance man come up. So I am unable to get a refund for all rhe false advertising. I do not recommend this place at all and expedia should not have rhem on their platform anymore!!

vending machine didn't work, ice machine didn't work, asked for a handicap accesible bathroom on making reservation but desk had no indication of same on check in. Mattresses were hard as a rock, woke up with a backache.

Don't stay here. They show pictures that are probably from 15 plus years ago. There is no breakfast room as shown nor is there a hottub. Rooms are run down and are unkept. People who live there even regret beign there. The rooms are reminiscent of drug use

No continental breakfast as advertised and as the pamplet in the roomssid. The room was not clean . The pool was green . We left the room for the day and when we got back the keys wouldn't work and someone had been in our room and changed towels and trash but not made the beds and check in said cleaning on the third day of stay and it was done after the first night

Non-smoking rooms reeked of cigarettes and marijuana, all furniture was heavily worn, stained, and smelled like bad body odor. Cockroaches everywhere. It looked like the rooms aren’t ever actually cleaned other than putting on different sheets. Lots of permanent residents hanging around outside of rooms and in parking areas, staring at anyone coming and going. Even the lobby smelled terrible and was partially closed due to a water leak in the ceiling. I don’t understand how this place hasn’t been condemned by the city and torn down.

there are cockroaches, Smells bad

There was a dirty sock in my room from previous, a flashlight under the chair. The chain on the door had what looked to be gorilla glue all over it. There was blood on the wall. In room 256 and my friends in 258 there was blood and hair on the walls. There were stains all over the sheets. The air conditioner did not cool well.

You could tell by all the dust on the lampshades and drawers of the furniture they do not clean well. I also woke up to Roaches crawling on my towels and in the sink.

HORRIBLE. We travled 6 hours to walk into a none smoking room with our 3 children and highly reeked of cigharettes. I sprayed fabreeze, tried to deal with it, already irritated about the condition of the room after a long car ride, and decided to go to bed. Pulled back the covers and 20 or so roaches scattered. I freaked out, grabbed my kids and our things and we left. The office didnt seem to care. And said they would not refund us our money being that we had been there for 2 hours already and that was against their policy. We went and stayed down the street at best western. I will NEVER step foot in that parking lot.

Great value overall. The lights were rather dim, there were some dead crickets in the bathroom, and the neighbors in the next room were a bit noisy. But comfortable bed and polite staff. My wife wouldn't like it, but it was OK for me.

The room had cockroaches, it had roach motel boxes under the vanity, it was not vacuumed, the towels looked dirty, faucet in the bathtub was askew and looked like something could crawl through it. There was a large puddle of water by the entrance to the room. It was very unpleasant to stay there. Would not recommend this place!

Restroom ceiling was molded. Office chairs were dirty and filthy. Room had a bad smell. We will not ever stay there again

Horrible. We ended up leaving a day early. There were roaches everywhere. On the floor, in the toilet. They scurried when the lights came on. Tune place was filthy. It was used more for residences than guests. They're was open air drug use. Our smoke alarm needed maintenance and they came and took time whole detector out of the room and did not bring it back. The cops banged loudly on the neighbor's door at 3AM, waking us up, and then end up taking him to jail. That same neighbor was a resident. We ended up leaving early because we did not feel like it was a safe environment.

I know its a cheap motel, wasnt expecting much . But the fridge was broke. The bed was broke in half. And the phone did work. Place is a dump.

The room was not the best Ac did not work properly

ac did not work. walls needed repair. outdated carpet. way overpriced

Our bathroom haf a 3 light fixture. Only 1 light bulb worked. The bed was broken. The sheets were dirty on same bed. The ac never cooled the room down. There was a fight sunday morning in a room. 3 guys fighting and screamimg at each other infront of little kids. Better luck next door at the motel 6

I like the size of the room

We got a non smoking room and the room smelled like smoke. On the door it even says non smoking room and it smelled like smoke. We told the front desk and they said this is what the housekeepers use to fragrance the room. We know what smoke smells like. I think housekeeper probably try to get rid of the smell but once it’s in the couch, chair, mattress and rug it can’t eliminate the odor. Also our air conditioner was not working. We put the temperature down to 60 all night it kept running and at times waking up sweating. It s too bad because the rooms are really are nice. But you got to have an air conditioning working. Also a non smoking room should not smell like smoke.

Nice off highway, big room

There were holes in the bedding, a toe nail on the bed (photo attached), carpet was torn up, broken lights, doors didn’t close properly. I will never stay there or recommend anyone to stay there

It was a week of work but the people at the roadway inn made me feel at home and were there to help with any problems I would recommend this hotel Over the others I have stayed that I’ve stayed in . I will be back next week or in two weeks and then another two weeks after that it was a great place to stay. Thank you very much for making me feel it on.

Bugs in bed all over the room house keeping tried to unlock the chain on my door by sticking hand in door with my 3 small children after not knocking

Sexual assaults happen on this property apparently? Lots of yelling outside. Management knocking on doors to ask if I who is the person who was secually assaulted. Of course, I then felt unsafe the remainder of the stay. Lights, microwave, and TV remote don't work. Rooms unclean, carpets stained, SO MUCH hair in the bathroom, dead bugs. Not a good experience, moving hotels today for the remaining week of my stay. Staff insufficiently trained, guests blamed for not having full information that wasn't communicated.

In major need up repair and maintenance. No extra towels were available for my family. Had to goto Walmart to purchase face towelas and bath towels. When asked for trash bags to take out our trash. I was only give 1 back for a room with 2 cans. We use whatever grocery bags we had. An expensive lesson learned.

The place was convenient to food, gas, whatnot. We needed more towels and they made us exchange what we'd used to get fresh ones. We were not impressed
