Well maintained. The shaded adult pool, golf course, and lazy river brought us here during the summer. The food was casual with good ingredients and flavor. The ratio of rooms to space in the pool areas was well done.

A huge chunk of this property was under construciton so parking was limited when work was going on. It got better in the evenings though. Would give this resort a 10, if only they had geniune queen size beds. They do not. They are full size. So if you're a family of 4 it's going to be crowned at sleep. Otherwise the rooms were an ample size. Refurbished, which was nice. That brings me to the pool. The lagoon look to it is lovely and the lazy river even more so. However, the tile was literally coming off. My kid and I were swimming, he grabbed onto the size to lift himself up and a piece of pool tile literally came off in his hand. Seriously? I'm paying a big rate for this property and your pool is falling apart. If it was actually SAFE then I'd give it a 10. But that bit and the lack of parking, no.

Very nice resort. My kids enjoyed the lazy River and the kids activities and movies. Room was very nice with a balcony. Parking wasn’t bad during the week but on weekends when events are going in it can be very limited. Racquetball area was fun, s’mores every night we were there and my kids were able to ride their scooters in the evening. Cons: breakfast buffet was overpriced imo. Wouldn’t recommend eating there unless it’s convenient.

Our stay at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa was delightful. The property and grounds were gorgeous, there were so many amenities and options of things available to do, the lazy river, pool, spa, trails, ping pong, cornhole, movies and more. The breakfast buffet in the cafe was great and I loved there was a Starbucks on property for coffee throughout the day. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The hotel is clean and comfy. The staffs are nice and friendly. All of the places are easy to access. We have little kids for the trip. The hotel can consider of offering more activities like kids club for the kids. The pools are fun, we all love lazy river and my older one love water slides. Besides that, the water park is limited. The hotel may consider add more water park facility for the kids. For the restaurant, the first day lunch we had bbq. Very Texas style. No complaint. Delicious. And after that, we found out we had not too many choices to go. We don’t drink alcohol, so definitely two bars are not within our consideration. And the only steakhouse needs reservation. And we can’t book a date during stay. The cactus one is far away from hotel. So went to the same restaurant for the whole stay.

We’ve been visiting here for 15 years, so we obviously enjoy it. There were a few things we weren’t fans of this time. The pool/river area stays open until 10 pm, but all the outdoor bars/eateries close at 4pm. Only one stays open until 7 pm. Cleaning service never came to refresh towels or empty trash even though they were supposed too. Trash/litter around the hotel was slow to be cleaned up. The ice machine room had old food boxes piled up in it and it smelled. There was a beach towel on the ground in the courtyard by our room that was never picked up while we were there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating though. The bartenders outside are fabulous. Especially Antonio and Isiah. The landscape is beautiful there. I will go back. It’s the only shaded lazy river!

For being a 4 star hotel we weren’t very happy. Both our beds and bathroom were full of hair. I made a complaint to front desk!

They cannot keep up with room cleaning. First day they never cleaned our room. 2nd day we had to tell someone on our floor to quickly tidy up as our little one was sleepy. They didnt vacuum at all.

Upon entering the rooms, they appeared clean, and an unpleasant odor reminiscent of smoke and mustiness lingered in the linens, detracting from the overall ambiance. The discomfort escalated with mattresses that failed to provide adequate support and pillows oscillating between overly plump or excessively thin. Regrettably, these factors culminated in subpar sleep, overshadowing an otherwise enjoyable visit.

We love this property! I only have one negative but it was pretty impactful - a giant flying roach in the room - eek! I know it’s Texas but it was terrifying and gross and it flew and we couldn’t find it…until we did. Jump scare! It was hard to sleep after that. They also remodeled the rooms which is great but there was nowhere to hang out towels after the shower. Very odd. We had towels hanging everywhere. Everything else was perfect as usual.

Noisy, crowded, lots and lots of kids which perhaps i should have anticipated. Shower drain clogged and had to be corrected, food very average, breakfast below average, coffee lousy and the one nice dinner restaurant was closed on the night i was there.

Overall we had a great time. I wouldn’t bother paying extra for a room with a balcony, as they are very small. My husband is quite tall and the only way for him to sit out there was to turn a chair sideways.

Renovated room all clean and modern. Big space, hard floors, comfy bed, great shower, seating, fridge. No towel rails so had to hang wet gear anywhere we could. Air con constantly clicking on and off but we were too tired to care. We thought the lights on the bed was a good safety feature as we both make night time trips. Our room was at the end of the hall so it was quiet. We didn't hear any slamming doors or noisy neighbors We had a 4oz grass fed hamburger and fries in the bar off the kids menu for $10 and it was plenty big enough and very tasty. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast buffet for $28. Just go hungry and make it your meal of the day. The rest of the time we just snacked out of our fridge. We loved the pool and river. There are plenty of chairs and lots of shade. Sadly, yes by the end of the day there is trash in this area which is so unnecessary as there are trash cans everywhere. Lazy! We enjoyed the smores, outdoor movie and nature walk around the golf course. The live music Saturday night was great. Our dare devil, near death experience bike ride was hair raising. Some maintenance needed this area. The key is to change your schedule if possible. We ate our meal at 3pm when the restaurant was empty. We went to the river from 4pm to 7pm when everyone was trying to get dinner. We also went at 8.30am to 10.30am and there was literally 3 of us as others are at breakfast or checking out. We will be back with the grandkids.

The Hyatt Hill Country is an awesome place. The lazy river and pool are great and there’s lot of restaurants on the property to choose from. The bathroom/ shower design in the rooms are small, so if you have 3 or 4 people in a room it’s going to be a little complicated, not impossible to work with, just something to think about. The food at all the restaurants was excellent and the staff were friendly. There’s lots of food options for kids and tons of things to keep them busy.
The Hyatt Hill Country is an awesome place. The lazy river and pool are great and there’s lot of restaurants on the property to choose from. Cleaning service never came to refresh towels or empty trash even though they were supposed too. Trash/litter around the hotel was slow to be cleaned up. The ice machine room had old food boxes piled up in it and it smelled. There was a beach towel on the ground in the courtyard by our room that was never picked up while we were there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating though. The bartenders outside are fabulous. Especially Antonio and Isiah. The landscape is beautiful there. I will go back. It’s the only shaded lazy river!
We’ve been visiting here for 15 years, so we obviously enjoy it. There were a few things we weren’t fans of this time. The pool/river area stays open until 10 pm, but all the outdoor bars/eateries close at 4pm. Only one stays open until 7 pm. We didn't even get pass the gate...Attendant seemed to be more of an Investigator rather than Entrance Gate Guard. The 2nd encounter with the gate guard he yelled at us to get a Key next time while we're trying to explain that our room wasn't ready and we wanted to leave the property. My god, was the President staying there? Crazy.

All was fine except food service. $100 Lunch at Pool restaurant- did not accommodate allergy dispite telling waitress and entering an online order to ensure notes were given to kitchen. Took 20+ mins to remake. Did comp meal after talking to manager. $200 Dinner at onsite restaurant- did accommodate allergy but didn’t advise wait time on order. All but one dish came out, remainder took 30+ mins to come out. Did not comp or offer alternative dish or even timing on dish. All around was disappointing. I didn’t eat with my family for 2 consecutive meals here. Did not provide itemized receipt for dinner. Asked for manager none came. Talked to front desk and they apologized, a restaurant rep called day after to apologize and comp meal that was 30+ min late.

Property was great and staff was friendly but one of the staff members accidently took luggage to another room and placed all personal belongings throughout the room. When we realized it we had to advice the staff and they brought my property up. The manager never came to apologize for the inconvenience and they never offered a compensation for the time loss and the possibility of leaving something behind in another room.

The check in went smooth and we were upgraded to a patio room for free as a courtesy to veterans. We were very thankful for the pet friendly location. We recently became a dog family and have a 5 month old pup. As newbies to the difficulty of finding pet friendly places that offer a lot o family fun, we were glad to find this. As for our room, we had a two queen room that had plenty of drawer space, closet space, and the fridge/coffee counter had plenty of shelves. This came in handy as we brought food, drinks, and a lot of dog treats. I also appreciated the fact that the sink for the bathroom is separate from the shower/toilet. As for the resort, I love that the lazy river and water amenities have plenty of shade. No sunburns for the whole family. The float up bar looked great but I didn’t use it. The kids spent what seemed like endless laps on the lazy river. I do wish the hotel offered a free “sand castle kit” to check-out and return at the end of the day. I’m sure the kids would have loved it and I didn’t think to bring one of ours. The on-location general store sold some but since I know we have plenty at home I didn’t want to buy one and have to travel home with it. The food was great. The fries at the poolside bar and grill were excellent, well seasoned, and perfectly crispy. All the staff were very helpful and went over the top. I actually felt a bit uncomfortable with the hospitality. I don’t like being waited on or having people cater to me. The kids loved it.

We did hope however that the Food and Beverage Operation at the Long Bar had improved. Fortunately a new staff member named Katie was on duty last Monday night to handle the large crowds spilling in from the Convention downstairs. Katie was slammed and wound up handling multiple guests food and beverage requests essentially by herself. We love the venue and I know how these things can sometimes happen with Food and Beverage Staffing however the new-hire Katie picked up the slack and although she was only there less than a week, she handled the impending disaster in the Hotels best interest. I wish we could remember her last name but she was on duty that Monday evening the 29th of August.

Our room wasn’t ready at check in time. We waited 30 min and decided to downgrade to another room (originally had an upgraded room) my kids were anxious to get in the water. They gave us a 100.00 food voucher for inconvenience but was still annoying that we had to wait and then not get the upgraded room.

Restaurant providing a delightful and flavorful dining food experience, with invaluable retail personnel, and guest services providing a shower chair upon request. Loved this hotel for the amenities and lazy river. Overall, excellent place to stay with family for a relaxing trip. It is about 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio/Riverwalk. We were disapointed with the food on 2 occassions (room service pizza that did not taste good & dinner at Charlie's Long Bar with all dishes served cold). But, breakfast was good and lunch & drinks ordered at the pool/river were great. The property is beautiful and staff at the pool/river area were great, especially Antonio. I would definitely go back but would plan to eat dinner out - which is a bit tough due to the location.

Its set in the beautiful hill country with deer playing tn the background. The property is well maintained, the grounds are immaculate,the rooms are spacious and cozy. The food is excellent, the spa was wonderful and the staff are amazing

Great place to stay!! Conveniently located. You forget you’re in the city once at the resort. Super friendly staff with a bunch of things to do for the kids and golf was fun. Course under repair but still fun. My daughter left her pillow there and staff walked to the entry gate to leave with the security guard there for us to pick up. If we ever go back to SA, we definitely will stay here!

Very nice resort. My kids enjoyed the lazy River and the kids activities and movies. Room was very nice with a balcony. Parking wasn’t bad during the week but on weekends when events are going in it can be very limited. Racquetball area was fun, s’mores every night we were there and my kids were able to ride their scooters in the evening. Cons: breakfast buffet was overpriced imo. Wouldn’t recommend eating there unless it’s convenient.

Many family activities for small children: feeding wild life, free bikes for use, playground, baby pool, game room, etc. Unfortunately the food and drink situation for adults was not great. They were severely understaffed everywhere. It took 20 minutes to get a drink. Food was average to below average at best. they could make a LOT more money if they improved the food and beverage service.

The hotel is clean and comfy. The staffs are nice and friendly. All of the places are easy to access. We have little kids for the trip. The hotel can consider of offering more activities like kids club for the kids. The pools are fun, we all love lazy river and my older one love water slides. Besides that, the water park is limited. The hotel may consider add more water park facility for the kids. For the restaurant, the first day lunch we had bbq. Very Texas style. No complaint. Delicious. And after that, we found out we had not too many choices to go. We don’t drink alcohol, so definitely two bars are not within our consideration. And the only steakhouse needs reservation. And we can’t book a date during stay. The cactus one is far away from hotel. So went to the same restaurant for the whole stay.

The Hyatt Hill Country is an awesome place. The lazy river and pool are great and there’s lot of restaurants on the property to choose from. The bathroom/ shower design in the rooms are small, so if you have 3 or 4 people in a room it’s going to be a little complicated, not impossible to work with, just something to think about. The food at all the restaurants was excellent and the staff were friendly. There’s lots of food options for kids and tons of things to keep them busy.

First of all the check in with Riley at the front desk was impeccable! She really took care of my needs of getting us settled. She was professional, upbeat and welcoming, as if it were her own home. A+ plus! Overall, the stay was good, except for restaurants where literally a small child rode their bicycle into the Springhouse Cafe (with his mom). I cannot believe they did not stop it because he almost ran over two old people. Antlers, which is a high-end steakhouse had loud children that were climbing in the booth which made it hard to hear but the food was excellent. The pool was excellent as always, and the food was very good.

This was our second time staying here. The lazy river and lagoon were 10/10. We have 3 kids ages 6-1 and everyone had a wonderful time. We have made this a yearly trip for our family! See ya next time!

We got there at 4PM for check in, but our room was not ready. Fine, we can wait around. I checked again at 5PM, still not ready. Finally got a text at 6PM stating the room was ready, they blamed housekeeping. We ended up getting a credit for $125 for the wait time, that doesn’t even cover the overnight parking $25/day or resort fee $60/day. We stayed 4 nights and used the pool 2 times. We didn’t even use the pool the first night there because we were so tired from the drive and the wait time. Overall, the lazy river was OK. Staff was nice. The hotel was convenient to the areas we were visiting.
