The location was perfect. Close to the airport, the Frost Bank center and walking distance to the RiverWalk. Easy to drive to. Rooms were clean with a lot of space. Staff was super friendly. I would have liked cheese and bacon for breakfast. Also the pool was not clean. We would have like to go sit by the pool and swam a little!

Front desk crew was great and friendly. Super helpful. Free parking downtown is always a plus. Rooms were clean. Located right across HEB so that was really convenient. Literally the only downside of our stay was the elevator. Super slow and doors close after just 3 seconds with loud beeping. Other than that, hotel and staff were great and we enjoyed our stay.

All things about La Quinta Inn is great except the elevator, only 1 is working and it’s not convenient for us which room is on the other side specially traveling with family. Your going to wait for 10-15mins when going to use the elevator around 9am-11am(check out time)..

Not every happy. The room had a very strong damp smell and there were mold in many places in the room. I saw dog's hair (cat's hair) around the beds.

Where do I start, check-in was quick and easy. Waiting for the small, broken elevator was a drag. Walking towards the room, the carpet was very stained. The room had paint chipped from walls, sink had low trickling waterflow. The AC unit had a constant(every 5/7 seconds) water drip onto the carpet. Carpet was completely soak after coming back from dinner. Not very satisfying, then waking up to the building fire alarm going off. I did request a cancelation after the first night, hoping to hear back, nothing happened so I requested a different room. Second room had a, not so good oder. We did our best to stay out the room as long as we could before calling it a night. I seriously don't know what else to say, but I can assure you that I will not be booking there again. What a birthday getaway for our daughter..

I not so picky about places to stay on vacation. this place seemed fine like most but when we went to bed we saw bed bugs. They moved us from one room to another that was unprepared that also had equipment .It was 1 am and hot.The room was missing toiletries towels and some rags. I found someone else’s hair ties and hair in the shower. I was tired disappointed and stressed.

After we checked in my wife noticed a dirty towel hanging behind the bathroom door. She then checked the bathtub and in the corner of the tub it was dirty and looked like someone had scraped dead skin off their feet in it. After looking it was obvious the room had not been cleaned. We notified the desk and they sent someone up to clean but only cleaned the bathroom. We felt dirty the total time there for our stay. This hotel is dirty and has gone down in the last few years. We will not stay here again

This property had great breakfast and convenient parking. However, our restroom had a lot of stains in the tub and I hadnt noticed until the last day all the stains around the bottom side toilet and inside the rim. Our towels had an ugly smell. The panel of the walls also seemed to be falling apart.

We found roaches in our room when we woke up in the morning in our food. And their was cigarettes ashes on the couch when we first enter the room and hairs in the shower. When we brought it up to the front desk they told us there was nothing they can do.

Hotel was decent and a good deal, but the in-room AC was set so that the fan ran constantly, meaning when it was not on its cooling cycle it was blowing warm humid air. The whole room felt humid and smelled musty. I tried everything I could on the unit to get the fan not to blow constantly (power off, change modes, fan speed, etc) but no joy. Not sure if this was unique to my room but it seemed programmed that way. Toilet also must have had a leak and filled itself every 2-3 minutes.

I stayed for 2 nights. This was my first time staying at this place. It is a good sized place at 151rooms and an elevator. Corner of Cesar Chavez and South Flores. A lot of parking spaces in front and back. Across the street is a mini HEB with a gasoline station. It was easy to get in and out. The room itself was comfy... a sort of mini suite. Interestingly, the microwave/ mini fridge was located in front of the entrance to the room. The bathroom was big too. There was a towel hook on the bathroom door and but a hook closer to the bathtub/ shower would have been helpful. Lots of interesting art frames. The only quibble is that the pillows are rather on the firm side. I prefer pillows that are more on the softer side. The central location is great, although downtown SA Street are sort of cray cray the way they're formulated. Still, I look forward to visiting there again

Our room was in disrepair, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and the walls were very thin. The guests in the room beside us had an argument and we could hear clearly every profanity right through the wall. The bathtub drain backed up when we showered. There was a crack in the shower wall that wasn’t repaired. Mold appeared to be growing on the vents. The fridge was dirty inside. Our stay was so bad we couldn’t stay the second night we left that evening and drove four hours home.

Great location. It was nice that there is an HEB market within walking distance. Room was clean, however there is no air conditioning in the bathroom. Also, the air conditioner auto adjusts to 74 even when you set it at a certain temperature. It would shift up 74 in the middle of the night and in July, that is not very comfortable. Also when we were gone during the day exploring downtown we would come back to a very hot room and have to lower the temperature several times throughout the day.

In town for one night. Staff were courteous and polite. We reserved the room with two queen beds. Room was spacious with a sofa, mini fridge, microwave and coffee. Beds were comfy. Area was quiet. We were a 6 minute drive in traffic to the Riverwalk. Reasonably priced. My friend rented on the Riverwalk and paid double. I wouldn’t definitely stay again.

Hello, My name is Edwin Canas. I reset two rooms, and of them we put that they need to clean it. And they never show up. And we. We were taking a shower the water does not go down quickly. And when we use the toilet, the water doesn’t flush quickly. It might need a little bit more pressure for the water. One of the refrigerator that they have it was not cooling at all. We have food our little baby. And we have to go to the other room to put it and make it cold. The breakfast it was ok, but to much people they should extend until 10:30am. As example 6am-10:30am. That’s when many people come and eat breakfast. Not all of them they don’t like to wake up early or rush for breakfast.

And when we use the toilet, the water doesn’t flush quickly. It might need a little bit more pressure for the water. One of the refrigerator that they have it was not cooling at all. We have food our little baby. And we have to go to the other room to put it and make it cold. The breakfast it was ok, but to much people they should extend until 10:30am. As example 6am-10:30am. That’s when many people come and eat breakfast. Not all of them they don’t like to wake up early or rush for breakfast.

The front desk stafff was rude and unconcerned with my issues. When asked to speak to manager, they never will give the message. Dont stay in room 526 it smells like pee. Very disappointed in this property overall.

My family and I stayed in La Quinta Downtown San Antonio. We’ve stayed at other La Quinta locations without any issues so we thought this would be the same. We stayed from the 15th through the 19th and for the first two days it was a pleasant experience. What put us off from ever going back to La Quinta Downtown Sant Antonio was that by day two I went to the front desk inquiring about the cleaning service, which I was told that the rooms where clean daily. In which I replied that our room has not been serviced for two days and I requested someone to come up to take the garbage out, bring fresh towels and toiletries. My expectation after talking to the front desk was that while we were out enjoying the day, this would be taken care of. When we returned the garbage was removed and towels were replaced but my wife had to track someone to get toiletries. To top it off on our return from a night out at the Riverwalk, my family get into the elevator to go to our room the elevator gets stuck between floors. Now at this point my wife and children are worried so I called the front desk to alert them of the situation and they said they would get us out momentarily. Almost an hour later the fire department came out and got us out. Now there is more to this story which I have shared with Ms. Crystal Ramirez, assistant manager via email due to the fact that no manager available during this ordeal and the next morning when my family was to checkout.

Pros:Easy to get to. Easy freeway access. Staff very friendly. Cons: Shower curtain rod was hanging down had to call down to be repaired. Housekeeping missed cleaning our room the only day we left it open to be cleaned in our 5 day stay and didn’t fill the bathroom linens or TP.

Hotel was terrific, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Lots of people around...traveling, sight seeing. HEB right across street is a plus. Parking is available with the room. Walking to the Market Square is pleasant using the lit walkway. The Riverwalk is a 12 minute walk...not to bad. I will definitely use this hotel my next stay in SA.

This hotel is the perfect if you want to be in the down town area and close to all the buzz with out paying the premium of being right on the water. It’s only 3-4 intersections from the first River walk access points. And there’s always scooters or bikes to rent nearby. Have stayed here every time we go to SA and will continue to do so

The room was clean upon arrival and the guys at the desk very kind and attentive. There is free parking available. The River Walk is 10 minutes by foot. Breakfast was good a couple of days, and another was lacking some essentials. Cleaning should be done every day or the room have bigger bins. Elevators take a while. Overall, it was good.

Cons:- The bathroom needed updating. The lift was very slow. Breakfast at the weekend was crazy no tables..... should have extended opening hours till 10am. Pros: Proximity to the Riverwalk and being able to park for free. The pool area was nice. The hotel in general very clean. Would stay again if visiting San Antonio.

There is onsite parking. It is about a 1/2 mile walk to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. There is a small grocery store across the street. Breakfast was way too crowded with lack of seating. Ran out of hot food.

I wanted to find a hotel closer to the main part of the Riverwalk so that we wouldn't need to drive the car to get there. Most of the time we had to drive, park, and then walk. The worst part of the La Quinta stay was the food for the provided breakfast. I usually will only stay at a motel or hetel that does provide the breakfast, but tghe breakfast food needs to be considerable better than what we experienced at the La Quinta in San Antonio. /tThe eggs were a pre-canned circular disk that had the consistency of plastic or cardboard and were absolutely tasteless. Also, there was little to no variation from one day to the next. On the plus side the staff was pleasant and the rooms and hotel lobby were clean.

I honestly expected much more from La Quinta, especially after seeing the hotel’s 9.0 rating. Unfortunately, our experience was nowhere close to what that rating suggested. The biggest issue was the lack of hot water. When we went to take a shower, the water was barely above cold. This was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a hotel stay, particularly at a property carrying such a high guest rating. Our room also did not have any towels when we arrived. We requested towels and were eventually given only two bath towels—no face towels or washcloths. Later, when I came back through the lobby and requested towels again, I was told that housekeeping was out of towels and that someone would bring them to our room. Those towels were never delivered. The elevator situation was another major problem. One elevator was out of service, leaving only one elevator for the entire hotel. The wait times were extremely long and very inconvenient, especially when guests were coming and going with luggage. What made this experience even more frustrating was the lack of follow-through. We repeatedly brought these issues to the hotel's attention, but there was no meaningful resolution. I have stayed at other La Quinta properties and generally expect a certain level of quality and service from the brand. Unfortunately, this particular stay did not meet those expectations at all.
