Do not waste your time booking at this facility. We checked in 5/16/25.The facility was filthy and unkept. Lots of sketchy by standers hanging out in the front. The elevator was not working. They only have one elevator. When we finally got the elevator to work we got to our room the air was not working. We get to our room the tv was not working. The window had no secure screen all the screws were out of the window so anyone can just jump straight out. There were no batteries in the smoke dectector Our room number was 301. The only other fire exit was locked and under construction. I don’t think the fire Marshall would approve that. We tried to get a refund. That did not work. For the price we paid at 208/night I feel like we got cheated. We will never stay here again.

Place was reasonably clean. Staff at check in was pleasant, polite, and a joy to talk to. Room was clean and comfortable. The only negative is that parking is very limited on weekends if you come in late.

Very convenient stop getting off and back on I-35 North bound!! Pet friendly is what led us to this location a few years ago and keeps us coming back. Our room was spotless and when I turned down our bed the sheets were the brightest white ever!! Only problem is the interstate traffic is very loud if you can’t sleep with noise. Excellent place and we will be back!! I

This property is in terrible condition. Doors that have clearly been forced opened and repaired. Doors delaminating with exposed screws. Lukewarm water. Breakfast very bare minimum and mediocre at best. Elevator jerky and feels dangerous. Avoid.

The room smelt clean… almost too clean as it had a strong smell of pine-sol. However, the bed, bathrooms, and everything was clean and orderly. My room was missing any kind of extra seating aside from desk chair so it left a big void in one side of the room. Odd! The hallways were very warm like no ac pushed through hut no issues in the room itself.

Location to Baylor is the only upside. Room and hallway reeked of marajuana, cigarettes, and bleach. Room had holes on walls and ceiling. Bedding was COVERED in hair. There might as well have been no walls because the sound of 35 feels like there are driving right into the room.

Room was super dirty Smokey damp smells everywhere inside out side room. After check in I was out when I back the room floor was wet and full of water. Asking help at the reception area and they gave towel to clean the floor by myself. Middle of the night wake up and saw bugs flying inside the room. At the morning wake up with the sounds of hammer nailing the wall or floor. Also at the evening one guy knock at the door and said wrong room, mid night the same guy knock at the door. Restroom was pretty basic and minimal supply and there I found small insects playing around.

The hotel smelled like smoke, even the room. When we entered the lobby the place smelled like weed and there were people inside smoking. We got to the room and the linen, towels and room over all smelled like cigarettes. The smoke alarm was covered with a plastic bag which was shadym the window was open and it was just horrible. The cleanliness was ok and just ok because the floor had sticky stuff on it. Overall I would not recommend this place.

When we arrived to our room the bed was unmade common not regular cleaning Supposedly upgraded us when they were supposed to be booked and still did not look to have been clean just a straighten up. I work in medical field and I know how a bed that was just straightened up versus a brand new bad and the bathroom was not the best.

From the moment you walk in the whole first floor’s smell of marijuana just hits you. You keep thinking maybe that was just someone who walked in before me but later realize that the first floor smells like that all the time. I was there for two nights and the smell was so strong. Having so called “breakfast” in the middle of that stinch was just disgusting. The breakfast are was extremely dirty and the trash cans were so full you couldn’t even throw your own trash away. The coffee comes from a machine that makes like 15 other drinks as well so the coffee was horrible. It didn’t even taste like coffee. There were no coffee cups. Instead you are given really small styrofoam cup that leaves no room to add anything else to it. Your only options on breakfast was yogurt (mostly frozen), cereal ( looked very old), sliced white bread, or make yourself a waffle. The room itself seemed clean, but everything in there was so old and not well taken care of. The door had a hard time closing and had lots of drilled holes through it. The ceiling in the restroom looked very ugly from constant repairs on a leak from the room above us. The air conditioner would blow out a nasty moldy smell every once in a while. If I hadn’t prepaid for the room already, I would most certainly have walked out and left. Never again will I ever book that hotel.

The room was clean but the tv was messed up I had to mess with it several times for a clear view. It’s 56 outside I came in the room and shut the AC off and turned the heat on.. it makes a loud noise with the heat on. Other than that clean rooms. Friendly staff. She was so sweet!

What can I say, it's a place to stay.. kinda. Hallways smell of smoke, highway noise is easily heard in rooms facing the highway. TV was busted. Rooms are incredibly outdated. Location was very convenient though and the shower temp was hot so there’s that. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We originally booked another hotel due to its location and they couldn't check us in, internet issue so we booked with Super 8. Check in was fine. Room was fine. Could use a room neutralizer. Super close to Hwy 35 so expect highway noise 24/7. It didn't really affect our stay. Was nice to power out at the traffic and thunderstorms a few times. Close to everything Waco. Affordable and you get what you paid for. Staff was friendly especially the Housekeeping crew! They ROCK!!!!

Booked 3 weeks before getting there and the over booked! It was kind of a good thing the hotel was very dirty and trash all around outside and inside trash cans full, counters were sticking and dusty, Mgr. was very rude. Looked like letting friends and family stay there and the desk was so un-organized.

If it wasn't for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, I would definitely give this place a solid 1. They were the only bright spot at this place. The carpets were filthy, cigarette ashes everywhere on the floor (despite being a non-smoking place), and the shower had mold on the ceiling that looked liked it had been just patched over. Don't even get me started on the weird black stains in the toilet!!! The beds were terrible - my husband said he felt like he was sleeping in a "V" all night. The noise from within the hotel was crazy - none of us got any sleep! We were supposed to be there for two nights for an event with my son but we left after one night. We opted to drive the hour and a half back and forth to our home instead of subject ourselves to this place any longer. The whole place needs an upgrade and DEEP CLEANED!! Front staff were FANTASTIC, tho. Super helpful and understanding. Keep them - change the hotel.

The front desk clerk is rude the female Crystal. She doesn’t know where anything is she’s not gonna help you with anything. My TV didn’t work. The Wi-Fi didn’t work and I felt completely unsafe due to all the homeless people outside.

I reserved two nights here a month ago and was charged up front. 24 hours before check-in the robot texted "We can't wait to welcome you at Super 8 by Wyndham Waco University Area!" I arrived to check in at 10:30pm after a long day of driving and the person at the desk said my reservation had been canceled. I checked my email and had received a message at 7:53pm that night that it had been canceled. (I had not seen the message because I had been on the road driving to the hotel.) The woman at the front desk had about 5 of her friends just hanging out in the lobby/out front smoking while she shopped online and blew me off. She was dismissive and told me to call expedia and work it out. She assured me that my $174.61 would be refunded. It was not. I just talked to Orbitz support and they said the hotel is not answering their call. Took my money, disrespected me, and left me without a bed for the night. No apology, no explanation, no refund, no help. Terrible.

I didn’t even get into my room and immediately left. It smelled like urine in the lobby, and while the guy at the front desk was nice and tried to help me check in early, the manager was horribly rude, unprofessional, and honestly just a mess. I don’t even care that I couldn’t check in early (that’s a normal thing, I wasn’t upset about that), but the fact that she was so rude turned me away. Every time I came by the front desk the person that desk was on the phone and she had to tell a person to hold on for me to ask a question. The hallway carpet is filthy it needs to be replaced along with the baseboards the place needs to be painted on the inside it needs to be updated

I stayed for two nights. The first night I booked an accessible room by mistake. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing was the shower did not work. My second room was a single Queen standard room and the room was ok. Nothing really to complain about. Had a nice TV. Breakfast is not good here. Not sure when breakfast started but when I went down at 7 almost everything was gone and the milk was hot. If you’re looking for a cheap place to spend the night and save money this is an ok place. The staff also let me check in early which was nice.

I stayed here a few years ago but conditions of the hotel have definetely deteriorated. The entire hotel has a smoke smell, microwave was dirty, fire alarm had a bag covering it, probably from a previous guest. Breakfast is included, but would not recommend it especially if traveling with family.

Overall -9 rate to go breakfast was awful. We stay a 6 days they had nothing but spoon to eat with. No fruit, no cereals, or yogurt. Service for the breakfast was awful always out of syrup and waffle mix. So all the have to eat was BREAD.

The continental breakfast that they offer is seemingly unavailable at this time. We were told when we went down at 7:15 AM that they are in a transition. All they had available was two types of cereal and coffee. I think there was bread to go in the toaster, but they were out by the time we got there and we did not see any milk for the cereal. There is a vending machine for pay.

The deadbolt on our door was broken, knob on shower was broken a s fell on my foot. Floors and bathroom was dirty and sink didn't drain. toilet handle broken. noisy guests on floor above us to all hours. we would not recommend. staff not attentive- talking to other staff and not checking us in. we had to wait a good 10 mins for them to finish their conversation. no restroom to use while waiting to check in.

CHEAP BUT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. BREAKFAST SUCKS, ELEVATOR NOT INSPECTED, AND AC NOT WORKING. The breakfast only consists of cereal, bread, juice, & coffee. the front desk staff was not attentive and when I told her there was no milk, she looked confused. after refilling the milk she never asked if there was anything else, she just ran back to the front desk. there was no one checking in or out. she didn't even check the other breakfast items, I had to ask her what was in 'this' container as it was empty, I asked if it was bread. she looked confused again then went to the storage room grabbed a loaf of bread and shoved the bag and all in the bread box. again didn't ask if there was anything else and just ran to hide behind the counter again. the customer service needs a lot of work. I understand the breakfast only being certain items, but it was not being watched, the staff was confused, and the over all customer service was terrible. the elevator moves very slow, even the door opening and closing, which raised some concern. once inside I noticed there was no inspection certificate posted... while checking in the staff was sort of talking to herself "no I won't put you there cause the AC doesn't work". once we received our keys, 3rd floor, there was no AC in the hallway. I had to keep the AC in the room running the entire time to keep the room cool. the window in the hallway was open to help cool it.. in august.. in Texas.. I will never book at another Super 8 again.

The parking lot was clean, but the air conditioner in the room did not work. We were there less than 30 minutes and the staff was no help. We are waiting for a refund, especially for the extra pet charges since we did not even stay at this hotel. We ended up staying at Candlewood Suites!

The staff were rude, housekeeping walked in our room, no knock, nothing. I had just gotten out of the shower. The property was disgusting, they didnt serve anything more than toast and donuts with warm milk for breakfast. I asked for a refund from hotels.com as well as the hotel and was told I paid for an “as is” room so its non refundable, as if that gives them an excuse to run an absolutely disgusting hotel with inconsiderate staff. The room also smelled of stale cigarettes when I paid for a non smoking room. Do not stay here. Absolute waste of money.
