Residence Inn Salt Lake City Cottonwood

First, the good: Breakfasts were ample, varied and we loved the turkey sausage, cage-free eggs, fresh oatmeal with a zillion toppings. Also, the equipment in the workout room was very adequate and everything worked. The beds were great and 4 good pillows were provided. Things felt clean and the shower heads offered optional types of spray. What we struggled with: While the day manager, Amy Maple, was very helpful with and apologetic about the issues we had.... --Room #1 had a non-functional toilet. No maintenance staff was available at 8:30 PM and we were told that there was no plunger in the whole hotel! So, after an hour wait, we were upgraded to a 2-bedroom. Room #2's kitchen had a non-functional garbage disposal...not a big deal, but I do wonder about the maintenance and care of the Inn. Anyway, when we checked out, Amy apologized, made notes, refunded us for 2 nights and offered points as well. We were grateful for that and would consider staying here again. The location works perfectly for our needs.

We didn’t have time to swim or have breakfast because we were attending a funeral, but we’ll definitely stay here if we return to the Salt Lake City area. Lovely spacious room with all the modern conveniences. Friendly staff too.
