Super 8 by Wyndham S Jordan/Sandy/Slc Area

The pool was closed down for maintenance all 4 days, the elevator was broken the entire stay, and the hallways smelled like Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson rented out the rest of the rooms.

This stay was not worth the cheap price. The pool and hot tub were ok for the first 3 nights but then the hot tub was close for the next three nights. The elevator was out of service the entire week and I’m guessing it’s been out for a while. Each morning we had to wipe our table before we could sit down and eat the meagre breakfast, we never saw the staff cleaning or resupplying and had to ask for everything that was out. Poorly run.

Good value for the price but disappointing in two ways: the elevator was broken and the spa stop functioning after 2 days and was not fixed for the rest of the week.

Carpets were dirty. The pool was closed for repair the whole stay. We would have found somewhere else had we known the pool was closed. The free breakfast had no protein of any kind.

BEWARE: elevators are out. If you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor its the stairs and your luggage. With a arthritic knee, it was a challenge. Front desk said there were no ground floor rooms available. Past posts said elevator was out.... How long does it take to get parts, repair the elevator??

I was very surprised of the condition of the building. I went online to make my arrangements and nothing was said about the elevator not working! My husband and I are seniors in our mid 70\'s still very capable of climbing stairs but we had to carry our luggage up the stairs without assistance. Had I been aware that the elevator was not working BEFORE I made the arrangements I would of looked for another option. Your building is also very outdated. The bathroom commode is way to low for seniors. The pictures online showed a very nice room but again disappointed in the room itself I also questioned the if the sheets on the bed were clean. All in all it was all very disappointing, especially since The Super 8 was under the label of Wyhn as in Las Vegas so I had the idea that it was going to be a decent place to stay. I would also like to comment on your clerk, very unfriendly, not very helpful and the attitude was like "oh well" the elevator doesn\'t work.When we left she was behind the desk didn\'t even stand up when I asked a couple of questions. I was the first to say good morning and she didn\'t even look up to say good morning because she was "busy" sitting at her chair. I on the other hand would of been "more" welcoming reaching out to the customer with a morning greeting and mention the coffee is ready, enjoy breakfast. have a good day!! just some comment sense and courtesy. At this point I wouldn\'t stay at your place and I have business to attend to in Sandy, Utah.

First room we were given stunk of smoke and a lot of items were broken. Room was changed to a slightly better room. Everything seemed broken - elevator, swimming pool, ice machine and stair hand rail. Will not be staying again and will think twice about staying in a super 8 again and my first experience (this stay) has not left me with a positive view of the chain

Everything was out of order, looked like the building was under construction. Alot of water damage. There was water leaking from the ceiling in the pool area. We checked in and saw the conditions and found another place to stay the night. Hopefully after every is fixed it will be better.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve EVER slept in. The breakfast was not good. The pool wasn’t working and the air conditioning/ heating unit had a funny smell and there was mold on the ceiling.

It could have been bette if we werent on the third floor and the elevator as broken. It wss not mentioned on the web site or my the front desk til i asked for it. After chekcing in if i knownit was down my elderly parents and i would have changed hotels. Then the bathroom fan is noisy and about to give out so taking a shower was not a quiet experience. Then about two hours after checking in we smelt something bad or rotting in the room and found this smelly sock on the aide on the side of the bed. No one came up to get it and thr next day it was still yherr when we left so not a happy customer

Broken toilet seat. Walls as thin as paper. Boy clean at all. I will not go back to this one.

Kinda dirty and run down.

There were bed bugs in both beds! I told front desk around 5am and was told to take pictures and the manager would be in at 9am to talk to me. while we waited there was a man outside screaming at someone. making threats. cussing. we weren't going out there. At about 9:30 we were told he wasnt coming til 11-11:30. We had things to do so i told her id be back. Went back at 12:30 and of course the manager had left. and would be in meetings all day. i told her to text him my # so he could call me. still nothing. I went back on my way out of town and the girl gave me some bs story about exterminators coming monday and lalala. nothing to do with me really. she refused to call or text the manager. and he wasnt coming back that day. During all this there were at least 2 other customers that came down and complained about bed bugs. A lady and her 2 yr old. And a man. they both had pictures of the bugs. I took pictures and video of the bugs as well. The kid on the night shift was apologetic and seemed helpful but as soon as the shift changed that ended and they just wanted to push me out the door like nothing was wrong. I've stayed here a few times with no problems. After the way they have treated me now, I'll never stay again. I don't feel like they had or have any intention of fixing this. there were enough bugs to say they've been there awhile. don't stay here. It's infested.

The hotel was very old and dated. The pool was empty except my family and it was very old and ran down. Whenever you went swimming youd come out with paint chips on you. The jacuzzi had used bandages in it. The staff was very rude and refused to give us more than 2 hand towels for 7 people swimming. They also stated you can not have anyone visit you at the hotel if youre visiting family. Stuff was very rude and yelled at me and my family. The rooms were old with burn marks in the blankets and the screen to the window was pushed out and a danger. The first room they were going to place us in a young lady changed because i mentions i had a toddler and she said the carpets were very nasty

The beds were comfortable and the overall room was nice but the carpet was filthy with a lo t of stains. A half hour with a rug scrubber would have made all the difference.

Black mold in our room on the ceiling and walls, had clearly been painted over in the past. Dry wall chipping and exposed in bathroom. Staff was friendly. Felt safe staying there.

Our room was not very clean. The baseboards were dirty, the mirror hadn't been cleaned. The curtains in the room didn't close properly so the hotel sign next door shined in the room all night. The carpet was in need of shampooing, there was garbage on the floor behind the nightstand. There was only one washcloth in the room. The sheets on the beds were clean but very pilly and uncomfortable. There is garbage on the ground by the back door where guests enter. The landscaping needs attention. We waiting for 23 minutes for someone to come to the counter to help us even after using the phone on the counter. I had to give them my information a second time even after pre-checking in with that same information.

My freezer had black mold on it. Found someone’s random earring on ground. Dead insects all on window seal. Futon covered in stains. For 233$ it was crazy and it smelled terrible

I dont usually leave reviews but i had to this time. The beds were comfortable but the room was so dirty. There was coffee rings and stuck food on the nightstand. The carpet edges looked like they didn't get vacuumed and the mirrors were so filthy I couldnt see to comb my hair. The bathroom had hairs and grim in the corners. The light in the vanity wasn't working and there was something splattered on the wall. The bed covers and blanket had stuff on them. I definitely feel like i paid more than it was worth. I feel like it could be a really ok place to stay if the rooms were cleaned better and the property was better maintained.

It was ok stayed 3 days but maid never clean our room.

staff were very nice! but the fridge in our room didn’t work which was disappointing since we are traveling and had to throw out a bunch of food that went bad

It looked liked it had been remodeled. The bathroom door was falling apart.

We reserved a king room. When we arrived, we were told the AC wasn’t working in that room and were offered a 2 queen room. The elevator sounds like it is on its last days of life. We were on the third floor. Upon leaving the elevator, you enter a dark hallway. Think basement in a horror movie and that would be better than this hotel. Now for the room. The light switches don’t work for anything in the room. The toilet rocks, and not musically. The AC worked, best and worst part of the room, but the temperature control knob was broken off and laying next to the post it should be attached to. The office chair had an unidentifiable sludge dried to the mesh and the coffee maker looked like it had not been washed since the 90’s. Before I forget, there was another “bench” that had a board screwed to the back of it and was pushed under the sink counter. I’m not sure if this was part of our room, or just being stored there. It was late, we were tired, so we stayed. Good story for the grandkids, right? We get ready for bed and decide to watch some TV. Nice way to relax before sleep. Except the remote has dead batteries and it’s missing the back of it. Husband goes down to get new batteries. All is well. Now we can watch TV. At about 11 PM, I walk over to the bathroom and I hit a wall of weed smell by our door. By the time I get back to bed, the smell has filled our room. Spend the extra $30-40 and stay somewhere else.

Price was right at $55/night. I guess you get what you pay for. Entry light switch didn't do anything. Shower curtain bar barely holding on to the wall. Toilet not bolted down. Coffee maker pot missing causing coffee to overflow rather than enter the cup placed where a coffee pot belongs. Kinda shabby carpet.

I thought this was almost a perfect 10 out of 10. The only thing that held it back for me was that I wasnt able to fully block the sun with the curtains. It was mostly all covered but there was still a little light peaking through in the corners. Room was clean, looked just like the photos, staff was nice and there was easy parking around the whole building so i can see my car right outside my window.

The room was clean, I really have no complaints other then my shower water would NOT get warm and they seemed very greedy when It came to pool towels

disappointed that the tv wouldn't work - I reported it the first night, but no action was taken. Also the hair dryer didn't work! The elevator could definitely use some good cleaning - especially the stainless steel surfaces

Bed frame was broken, plastic bags under mattress that signified the mattress wasn’t moved. Poop smear on “clean” towel. Chewed gum on the nightstand and wrapper under bed. Microwave and coffee machine weren’t cleaned as there was smears on the microwave and the coffee machine had old coffee in it. The staff Never answered us when we texted that we voiced our concerns after they texted us to let them know if we had any.

Our tv had one channel, entry light didn't work and the breakfast wasn't restocked after construction workers ate breakfast. Not much left. But…… comfy, safe, reasonable price and good location.

To start off, we got there a little early and was told it would be $35 to check in early. That is outrageous. Totally ridiculous. When we did check in, I asked if there was any bottled water available and they said in the vending machine I went to the vending machine and the vending machine was totally out. I come back and I said OK the vending machines out and they say I think we have some and then about 15 minutes later to come back and said no we don’t have any no bottle of water and it’s 100° out then when we seen the people the housekeepers cleaning the rooms I’m not so sure they were old enough to be working and they looked so tired and that it was kind of scary lastly I noticed the smoke detector in our room. I noticed that this morning before we checked out that it didn’t seem to be working most most all the smoke detectors I’ve ever seen have a red blinking light that blanks every so often to let you know that it’s working this one I watched for over 30 minutes and it didn’t work so when I took the keys down and we checked out I let the person behind the desk know that it didn’t seem to be working

This place is awful! There are huge rats in the parking lot, the rooms are all a mess. It took going into 5 different rooms before we found one where the curtains would even close, and even then, we had to paperclip them shut. The girl working the desk on Friday night was an absolute waste of flesh. My key stopped working, so I had to go to the front desk to get it reactivated, and had to stand there ringing the bell, picking up the white phone, and literally yelling "HELLO" at the top of my lungs for 25 minutes, only for her to come walking out of the back giggling. I asked her for her name and she said "Maybe Natasha" and giggled again. There were people trying to check in who left before she came out, because they waited over 30 minutes. I went down to the front desk to ask for extra towels, and the manager was sitting in a chair with his back to the counter, on a speaker phone call, and ignored my existence entirety for over 10 minutes, until I walked away. One of the rooms they put me in had the headboard ripped off the wall and the picture above it was half ripped off the wall and leaning on the bed. The room I got stuck with, the bathroom door had obviously been kicked in at some point, the shower curtain rod had been ripped down, and everything was dirty. The only good thing in this place was the guy working on Wednesday and Thursday night, he was a sweet, and genuine person, and really tried to make everything right. He was the only one. Do not stay here!

Everything was just ok. The trash at the rear entry was full all week the spa pool was in serious need of restoration and resurfacing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but we had to immediately change rooms because the sink faucet was not attached, the Directv I. Our room was out from. Everyone at the front desk was super nice and friendly approximately 8pm until around noon the next day, When I called the front desk that night they said they would check into it and “call you right…” never did I told the person at the desk the next morning, I think it was the manager, and within a couple of hours it was fixed. It was very affordable just don’t drop anything under the bed, they don’t clean under the bed? It’s f your looking for a good place with ok services a great price this is an ok place! The front desk staff is great very friendly and helpful as they could be. The only issue was not getting a call back on the TV issue. But the front desk was great

Online, the room looked okay, but in person, it was a complete disaster. The vanity sink was clogged, and you could see all the gross buildup. There was even what looked like blood on the bathroom switch. The tub had a chunk of fiberglass missing, and the added security latch on the main door was missing. The joining room door had a deadbolt held in with toilet paper, presumably to prevent it from jiggling. There were four holes on the top of the door, where an old hydraulic arm was for the door swing control, but it was missing. And the four holes were directly looking into the room. Granted, you’d have to be very tall to see, but it was still a safety hazard. The mini fridge didn’t work, and there was PVC coming from the ground with wiring wrapped around it and electrical tape securing the wires. The curtains on the exterior windows didn’t close all the way, and I had to manipulate them to ensure there were no gaps looking into my room. I only had one trash bag, in one can, in the room, so I had to ask them for more to properly dispose of the trash. The WiFi was terrible, and the cable box was hanging from the wall, with wires going all over the place. It was a safety hazard if you had children running around. The only positive aspect was that the AC worked, the water was hot, and the front desk staff were okay. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.

I stayed for a week. Gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating. Some bed size discrepancies from 3rd party bookings were made but he went above and beyond to take care of me. Kept me in the same room. Five stars for him. On the other hand, The female at the front desk said that my room wasn’t serviced after 3 three requests was made because her co worker didn’t take an incidental deposit from me upon arrival. Why say yes to room cleaning and not provide the service to your guests is beyond me.

I appreciated that the staff immediately took care of the issue of the noisy people who were in the apartment above me when I called them. I waited hoping that the people would calm down before notifying the staff, but when they didn’t and I called the staff the noise stopped just shortly afterwards.

After driving 5 hours I wanted to check in at 2:00 - was told I’d have to pay $35 early check in although the room was ready. I think that policy needs some flexibility.

Next to Interstate, across shopping center. Nice Workers, easy parking

Too close to the freeway and lots of homeless people around, people smoking pot in the parking lot near the entrance. I really don’t care what people do, have respect for others. Over all I would not recommend it to anyone.

Handicap parking was very convenient.

Location near to the I15 highway and in beautiful area is a plus

Typical trucker stop, very basic amenities for very low price. Place is clean and quiet, hotel is dated but everything worked and clean. Breakfast is very basic but waffle machine is big hit with kids. Jacuzzi works but you need ask hotel staff for pool towel. Would stay again if in the area

The hotel was clean. Costumer was nice. Breakfast was a little lacking.

For the price it was ok. Noisey can hear the freeway noise. Could do better with the breakfast. They weren't watching to restock food. Some more attention to the customers would be nice.

Breakfast bar was not working one morning. So much for a warm breakfast. A dog was locked in a truck in the back of the parking lot. It was barking when we checked in and it barked until the next day when the staff fed and watred it. No apologies no refunds or rebates…just a terrible experience.

Prooerty was good, breakfast good, room clean, right next to the interstate but pretty quiet, didnt use the pool or hot tub but was working and looked good.

Rugs stained. Cover on bed stained.. breakfast was a joke no butter no plates or forks for waffles no one around to get help. Will not stay here again!

Great value, good breakfast items (from waffles to yogurt, toast and cereal, coffee, tea, juices and fruit), and the pool area with spa was wonderful. And only 20 minutes from Hogle Zoo (via I 15 to I 215). And R&R BBQ is 3 doors up (highly recommend their Spicy sauce... and the brisket).
