This has to be my worst experience staying at a truck stop. To begin with, the area where the hotel is located is inconvenient. And I\'m not talking about how it\'s located near a highway. That\'s entirely fine. What I\'m referring to is how the parking lot has cinder blocks all around the area, and signs stating not to park there. There\'s so many "Do not park here" signs scattered around the area that it makes it unclear as to WHERE you CAN park. On top of that, I had purposely booked a non-smoking room with a king sized bed due to the fact that I have asthma. Upon check in, the receptionist assigned me a smoking room with two separate beds. After complaint, he did change the room but AGAIN assigned us a smoking room. As we proceed to make our way to the convenience store (which they\'re using as the check-in area for guests), he proceeds to come out of the store and approach us, stating that he noticed us walking around on camera. On our third complaint, he assigned us another room. If you happened to guess if this one was smoking too? You\'d be correct. Escorting us to our room, I was walking across the hotel lawn when I fell into an unmarked hole. The smell in the third assigned room wasn\'t as strong as the first two so I decided to just deal with it. We also had to slam the door HARD to get it to shut because the door was misaligned. The only good thing I can say about the area is that it was quiet, and if you want to be close to The King\'s Domain, it\'s across the street.

There is no check in desk you have to navigate through a truck stop and enter a store to find anyone The room had black mold all around the floor around the dresser and all plumbing fixtures! There was 1 working channel on the tv No internet! Pool was fool of garbage and dirty muck! And the worst part was the cockroaches crawling all over the place! We took pictures and immediately left! We were only refunded for a one night stay even though our reservation was for 2 nights! Even though we only stayed for a total of 10 minutes! No one on the property speaks English so communication is horrible! This place was horrible! I’ve never seen hotels.com have a hotel like this on their site they need to remove from their list of hotels!

Unless you want a 1 night stand or a place to buy crack or possibly get murdered then avoid this place by ALL measures. The picture on hotels.com is NOT this property!! This property is a disgusting TRUCK STOP - you literally have to go into the store to get your key. I was the ONLY female there and all it took was me walking TO the room to decide NO WAY. The curtains in the rooms I passed were smoke stained and disgusting, there were dead flies on the ledges I didn’t even go into the room. I can’t imagine how gross that would’ve been. I went back to the store and handed in the key. Spent another $350 to get another hotel a few blocks away. The picture I will include shows what the “hotel” looks like on Hotels.com and the bottom is the actual hotel. An absolute disgusting property even the parking lot was a mess. Hotels.com won’t do anything to assist with this - them allowing the property to show that incorrect picture is false advertising. I requested a refund from the property (179.00) and naturally heard nothing. I will be disputing it with my credit card company. Avoid this property it’s Hotel Hell!!!

We pulled up to the hotel and thought there was no way where we were was the place we’d booked. It looked like the scary hotel in a murder show where the hero’s car breaks down and they have to walk in the rain to and spend the night. The sort of place that charges by the hour vs the night. We didn’t even stay there. We abandoned it, ate the cost of the reservation, and went to the Laquinta across the parking lot and for a room.

Reserved a king room 2 weeks before trip. Arrived and given a room with 2 twins for my husband and self. We did not stay. Property was clean but in major need of renovations. It is also part of a truck stop which is not mentioned anywhere in property listings!

The hotel does not exist anymore under OYO. It is now travelers lodge. There is no lobby to check in as advertised in the pictures. Check in is in a run down truck stop gas station in which we were denied check in due to it not being ran by OYO anymore. We are also being denied a refund on two rooms because they marked us checked in after calling from the hotel and being hung up on 3 times to let OYO know that we were being denied check in as advised by the gentleman at the gas station check in. Even had we been allowed to check in I would have never let my children stay in this place. The outside was disgusting, I can only imagine the rooms.

The property appears to be mainly a resting place for truck drivers! The room I was assigned, reeked of stale cigarette order, mold around the mirror in the bathroom area, and bugs in the drawer of the night table beside the bed!! On-line picture is very deceiving!! I made reservations two weeks in advance, asked if they had a pool, they said yes, but pool was covered up, and surrounding fence was locked!! Never stayed, requested a refund 10 minutes after entering the room!!

The employee was nice enough when it was time to check in. There were many problems though. We immediately found roaches upon entering the room. Ants in the bathtub. Burn holes in the blankets. Stains on walls and carpets and bedding. Things left in bottom of trashcan. No WiFi password. One electrical outlet was falling out of the wall. Behind furniture was dirty. Tiny towels and only 2 for a family of 3. An ashtray in a non smoking room. Complicated finding where to check in. Different hotel name than what is listed.

Did not stay. Went in to a smelly , dingy, dark room, smelled like vomit, urine and sweat. Holes in wall behind toilet and bugs all over the floor. Pulled back sheet on one bed and a bug flew out and there was long black hairs. Spider on other bed. Floor was dirty like hasn’t been vacuumed or swept or mopped in who knows how long. We left and requested refund. Man at counter in fuel station said to call a number for refund. Had to call 7 times to finally speak with someone. One time it connected to the hotel and I told the man the room was disgusting and the man said the rooms are beautiful and not disgusting. I told him what we encountered and he hung up. Eventually the OYO main office approved a refund and apologized.

This place is bottim of the barrell, actally its under the barrell and then dug 7 feet. If you dont mind lot lizards, loud next door residents and nasty as hell rooms with roaches and fruit flies in the shower then go for it.

Bathroom light was not working so makes me question whether it was cleaned or not. Found dog pop dried up under the bed. Parking was ok and car was not bothered. The price was definitely worthy of the place. Would not stay there again.

Not worth the price, there were roaches and the bed springs were horribly felt. Everyone didn't sleep well and woke up with sore bodies. The carpet was dirty. Somebody needs to go in these rooms and inspect them as for they are very unsanitary. would definitely like a refund.

Bed bugs, mice, roaches, bad customer service, phone dont work. Sheets were dirty and it honestly did not feel safe. Dont stay with your kids. I left.

The good part first. Very quiet and safe area. Excellent service from the front desk staff. Clean beds. On the other hand, the room carpet is disgusting. It is wet and sticky. The bathtub needs scrubbing and a new plug

This hotel should be closed and not available for anyone to book! There is no check in desk you have to navigate through a truck stop and enter a store to find anyone The room had black mold all around the floor around the dresser and all plumbing fixtures! There was 1 working channel on the tv No internet! Pool was fool of garbage and dirty muck! And the worst part was the cockroaches crawling all over the place! We took pictures and immediately left! We were only refunded for a one night stay even though our reservation was for 2 nights! Even though we only stayed for a total of 10 minutes! No one on the property speaks English so communication is horrible! This place was horrible! I’ve never seen hotels.com have a hotel like this on their site they need to remove from their list of hotels!

Not worth the price, there were roaches and the bed springs were horribly felt. Everyone didn't sleep well and woke up with sore bodies. The carpet was dirty. Somebody needs to go in these rooms and inspect them as for they are very unsanitary. would definitely like a refund.

Every room smelled like smoke. They gave me a bottle of Febreeze to mask the smell. Dirty carpets, old worn tub and toilet, plug in bathroom did not work, no electrical plugs near the bed. The bed was an old spring bed and you could feel everyone of the springs.

This has to be my worst experience staying at a truck stop. To begin with, the area where the hotel is located is inconvenient. And I\'m not talking about how it\'s located near a highway. That\'s entirely fine. What I\'m referring to is how the parking lot has cinder blocks all around the area, and signs stating not to park there. There\'s so many "Do not park here" signs scattered around the area that it makes it unclear as to WHERE you CAN park. On top of that, I had purposely booked a non-smoking room with a king sized bed due to the fact that I have asthma. Upon check in, the receptionist assigned me a smoking room with two separate beds. After complaint, he did change the room but AGAIN assigned us a smoking room. As we proceed to make our way to the convenience store (which they\'re using as the check-in area for guests), he proceeds to come out of the store and approach us, stating that he noticed us walking around on camera. On our third complaint, he assigned us another room. If you happened to guess if this one was smoking too? You\'d be correct. Escorting us to our room, I was walking across the hotel lawn when I fell into an unmarked hole. The smell in the third assigned room wasn\'t as strong as the first two so I decided to just deal with it. We also had to slam the door HARD to get it to shut because the door was misaligned. The only good thing I can say about the area is that it was quiet, and if you want to be close to The King\'s Domain, it\'s across the street.

Reserved a king room 2 weeks before trip. Arrived and given a room with 2 twins for my husband and self. We did not stay. Property was clean but in major need of renovations. It is also part of a truck stop which is not mentioned anywhere in property listings!

The hotel does not exist anymore under OYO. It is now travelers lodge. There is no lobby to check in as advertised in the pictures. Check in is in a run down truck stop gas station in which we were denied check in due to it not being ran by OYO anymore. We are also being denied a refund on two rooms because they marked us checked in after calling from the hotel and being hung up on 3 times to let OYO know that we were being denied check in as advised by the gentleman at the gas station check in. Even had we been allowed to check in I would have never let my children stay in this place. The outside was disgusting, I can only imagine the rooms.

When we went to check into the facility, they VERY RUDELY I might add, said they "closed their account three months ago" and refused to service us even though they were listed on the website. We drove 3 hours to go to King's Dominion just to be told our motel didn't exist anymore. I reached out to Expedia's customer service and I'm still waiting on a refund because they wouldn't put me up in a room. Customer service reached out to the property and apparently they said the reservation was all good, but when he tried reaching out to the property directly to confirm with them, they didn't pick up the phone. We ended up staying at a different Hotel and I hope we get refunded back. If not, we've been scamed and are out about $165.00 dollars for two nights. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!!

Unless you want a 1 night stand or a place to buy crack or possibly get murdered then avoid this place by ALL measures. The picture on hotels.com is NOT this property!! This property is a disgusting TRUCK STOP - you literally have to go into the store to get your key. I was the ONLY female there and all it took was me walking TO the room to decide NO WAY. The curtains in the rooms I passed were smoke stained and disgusting, there were dead flies on the ledges I didn’t even go into the room. I can’t imagine how gross that would’ve been. I went back to the store and handed in the key. Spent another $350 to get another hotel a few blocks away. The picture I will include shows what the “hotel” looks like on Hotels.com and the bottom is the actual hotel. An absolute disgusting property even the parking lot was a mess. Hotels.com won’t do anything to assist with this - them allowing the property to show that incorrect picture is false advertising. I requested a refund from the property (179.00) and naturally heard nothing. I will be disputing it with my credit card company. Avoid this property it’s Hotel Hell!!!

We pulled up to the hotel and thought there was no way where we were was the place we’d booked. It looked like the scary hotel in a murder show where the hero’s car breaks down and they have to walk in the rain to and spend the night. The sort of place that charges by the hour vs the night. We didn’t even stay there. We abandoned it, ate the cost of the reservation, and went to the Laquinta across the parking lot and for a room.

Cheap truck stop motel directly across the street from Six Flags Kings Dominion Doswell theme park. Roaches have taken over. It's Dirty. If staying here I would not bring my personal items to the room to be sure not to leave with any hitchhikers. Truck stop has trucks fueling up all night and parking lot is full of truckers resting. Be aware of your surroundings when staying here. Check-in/out is in the gas station. Staff were all courteous. I knew when I made the reservation it would be bad, my car broke down at King's Dominion on a Saturday night at 11pm. I was desperate and didn't have much of a choice. Thankful to sleep a few hours and get my situation resolved.

Checked in and immediately upon arrival my partner and I walked in and found bugs on the floors and bed sheets… about an hour later we got back from getting food and noticed 5-6 additional roaches, thankfully Expedia assisted with arranging new reservations. I would not recommend. Price may LOOK nice but DO NOT sacrifice your health for a cheap night.
Checked in and immediately upon arrival my partner and I walked in and found bugs on the floors and bed sheets… about an hour later we got back from getting food and noticed 5-6 additional roaches, thankfully Expedia assisted with arranging new reservations. This place is horrible, it’s nothing more than a truck rest stop. There is no lobby, no waiting area and no front desk to check in/out. The lobby is a truck rest stop store where you can buy truck parts, gas etc. false advertising. I cancelled my trip through Expedia while on site and I still didn’t get my money back because Expedia sent the property several emails and called multiple times and no one from the property answered the phone or emails. The rooms are old, dirty, bed linen is dirty, old AC units, towels are grey (not white at all) and the room had an order. I went back to the store and canceled my room and being the fact I never checked in the property said they would refund my money but Expedia had to call them first. The property never answered any email nor did they answer the phone so now I have to file a travel insurance claim just to get my money back. DO NOT BOOK HERE you will be disappointed and disgusted!

Some around the room and larger ones were already getting in our stuff. Spend alittle extra for roach free. Expedia and the hotel refused a refund or credit. We did not end up staying here after being there for an hour.
