This how was perfect for our family. Located at the end of a quiet street and only a minute drive to downtown Highlands. Added bonus of pickle ball courts within the community. Definitely recommend.

The house is located in a small, safe private community at the edge of town. It is a short drive to a grocery store and the downtown area. I had brought a lot of kitchen supplies, but did not need to use most of them, as the kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked. The bedrooms were also roomy with plenty of dresser and closet space. The Washer and Dryer were also a bonus.It was easy to communicate with Anna. We had trouble figuring out the TV, but the property manager came over that afternoon to walk us through it. We were there to enjoy the changing leaves and did a number of hikes in the area. Restaurants tended to get packed, so recommend making reservations where you can during high seasons. We had a nice lunch at Wild Thyme. Great pizza at Four65 Woodfire Bistro (no reservations taken here). And across the street, a fine-dining Italian Ristorante Paoletti (definitely need reservations).

Just completed our stay and had a wonderful time exploring Highlands and all of the sites in the area. The house was exactly as described and was perfect for us. Had enough room where we could have brought 2 other couples. Went out most nights but used the well stocked kitchen and the new grill to make dinner at home one night. Highly recommended.

This was a nice place, and great location, with one big issue. The fireplace stank to high heavens, was worse when bathroom exhaust was on, made sure the flu was closed, our noses and throats burned. Had to block up the opening which made it bearable, for our short stay. If that issue gets addressed it would be a great place

Great location that is peaceful, private and surrounded by woods and greenery in a quiet neighborhood that was great for dog walks. Five minute drive to downtown Highlands. Grocery store and restaurants close by. Neighbors are friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the deck and grill. Nice front porch. Kitchen well supplied. Very comfortable king bed. Laundry machines were very nice Master bathroom was dim. Lighting

We rented this house because our original rental canceled due to maintenance issues. I’m so glad we chose this house ! It was perfect for 5 adults . Very comfortable, very well stocked, beds comfy , firewood provided. Can’t say enough good things . Loved the restaurant suggestions. Everywhere we ate was excellent. We shopped, took a yoga class , hiked , got massages from Elevation Spa ( highly recommend! ) ate at great restaurants, sat by a roaring fire each night and found out we will be grandparents in September so Highlands will always be special to us . Thank you for a fabulous weekend !

My wife, three small kids, and I stayed at this house for 6 nights and couldn't have picked a better house for our family getaway. The house is conveniently located close to town, but it's located at the end of a quiet cul de sac. We loved having the bocce and pickleball courts right down the street. The house itself was perfect: the rooms were all a good size, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the smart TV and wifi were great to have. I would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the home was perfect for relaxation and unwinding. The location was perfect. We had hoped for warmer temps but having the fireplace was very enjoyable. Thanks to our Host for everything provided. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Highlands.

This property was extremely clean and well equipped. The beds were sooo comfortable! Very well located close to groceries and downtown attractions. Good home base to explore hikes and waterfalls. Great communication prior to and after the stay.

My oldest sister has Stage 4 stomach cancer that has metastasized to her liver, lungs, spleen, and lymph nodes. I booked this vacation rental for my four sisters, daughter, and two nieces the day we learned that the first round of chemo had been basically ineffective — so just a little more than a week before our booking. Directions to the property and entrance could not have been easier to follow, and a notebook with the Wi-Fi password, instructions for operating the television, location of fire extinguishers, lots of suggestions of local restaurants and activities, and check-out instructions was provided. The place is beautiful and beautifully decorated, and could not have been more perfect for our stay. We enjoyed meals and spending time together playing games and talking inside at the dining table just off the very gracious and comfortable family room and at the dining table between the kitchen and the family room as well as on the on the back deck. The kitchen and bathrooms were all spotless and very graciously appointed. We had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed watching movies and putting a puzzle together in the family room, and we enjoyed some one-on-one time with each other rocking on the front porch. Though the weather was gorgeous and there are lots of nice restaurants and shops and fun things to do nearby, we stayed in mostly, because my sister was very weak and unable to walk very far. We will definitely be back!!! I highly recommend his home!

The house is spotlessly clean. The neighborhood is nice and upscale. This was our first time to visit the Highlands area and we were nit sure what to expect. The propert was very easy to locate and use as our base, being located close to town. The house provided plenty of space to stretch and for the baby (>8 mos) to play. Bryson' s Foods is very close if you need groceries of any kind.

We didn’t know whether to stay or visit Highlands due to Helene. Glad we decided to come and visit. This property was perfectly situated close to town, in a quiet neighborhood of dog-friendly residents. Property is on a cul-de-sac surrounded by trees. Safe for dogs to go potty and walk around neighborhood. House was very clean and comfortable, with features that were more upscale than other properties that have been pet friendly. Really perfect stay. Will book again next time.

Everything about this home exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood is lovely, quiet, and great for walking. The location is so close to town, yet you feel completely secluded. Very comfortable king bed, with high quality linens, plenty of extra towels, and the most well equipped rental kitchen I’ve ever encountered. Owner was very responsive about a question concerning internet access. The property was very clean, and we loved having a nice washer& dryer at our disposal. We’ve already booked again for next summer!

I booked this vacation rental for my four sisters, daughter, and two nieces the day we learned that the first round of chemo had been basically ineffective — so just a little more than a week before our booking. Directions to the property and entrance could not have been easier to follow, and a notebook with the Wi-Fi password, instructions for operating the television, location of fire extinguishers, lots of suggestions of local restaurants and activities, and check-out instructions was provided. The place is beautiful and beautifully decorated, and could not have been more perfect for our stay. We enjoyed meals and spending time together playing games and talking inside at the dining table just off the very gracious and comfortable family room and at the dining table between the kitchen and the family room as well as on the on the back deck. The kitchen and bathrooms were all spotless and very graciously appointed. We had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed watching movies and putting a puzzle together in the family room, and we enjoyed some one-on-one time with each other rocking on the front porch. Though the weather was gorgeous and there are lots of nice restaurants and shops and fun things to do nearby, we stayed in mostly, because my sister was very weak and unable to walk very far. We will definitely be back!!! I highly recommend his home!

The house is located in a small, safe private community at the edge of town. It is a short drive to a grocery store and the downtown area. I had brought a lot of kitchen supplies, but did not need to use most of them, as the kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked. The bedrooms were also roomy with plenty of dresser and closet space. The Washer and Dryer were also a bonus.It was easy to communicate with Anna. We had trouble figuring out the TV, but the property manager came over that afternoon to walk us through it. We were there to enjoy the changing leaves and did a number of hikes in the area. Restaurants tended to get packed, so recommend making reservations where you can during high seasons. We had a nice lunch at Wild Thyme. Great pizza at Four65 Woodfire Bistro (no reservations taken here). And across the street, a fine-dining Italian Ristorante Paoletti (definitely need reservations).

We were overjoyed with our choice of property. The property and surrounding area are well kept and quiet. The house was better than expected. We had everything needed to make our stay memorable. The owner was super easy and helpful. We strongly recommend this property to all who are looking to stay in the Highlands. And it is super convenient to all the attractions such as hiking, water falls, gem mining, golf, white water rafting, shopping and dining!

Everything about this home exceeded our expectations. The neighborhood is lovely, quiet, and great for walking. The location is so close to town, yet you feel completely secluded. Very comfortable king bed, with high quality linens, plenty of extra towels, and the most well equipped rental kitchen I’ve ever encountered. Owner was very responsive about a question concerning internet access. The property was very clean, and we loved having a nice washer& dryer at our disposal. We’ve already booked again for next summer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the home was perfect for relaxation and unwinding. The location was perfect. We had hoped for warmer temps but having the fireplace was very enjoyable. Thanks to our Host for everything provided. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Highlands.

We spent Christmas in this cozy little house and it was perfect for our family of 6 and dog. Very quiet and at the end of a cul-de-sac while still being very close to town. Would stay here again!

Clean, spacious, quiet, 5 minute drive to grocery and town center. Well equipped kitchen and 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Master has king bed. Good Wi-Fi but had to enable Wi-Fi calling in order to make and receive phone calls with Verizon. Nice enclosed deck at rear of home for outdoor grilling. Good places to take walks right from front door and staying within Shelby Community.

Lovely house, well-stocked (except for coffee which we couldn’t find but there’s a good coffee shop in town so that was fine). It was very quiet and about a 5 min drive from town and great base to explore the area.

Place is in a quiet cul de sac in a great neighborhood, but minutes from town. It had all the amenities one could ask for, including terrific internet. Hope to be back in the spring.

nice home and location. Everyone keeps saying how quiet it was ... I have stayed many places in highlands, several were off the road .. and noisy .. this truly is a quiet home to stay in and that was so nice! the home is very nice. Easy to get into town.

The house was quaint and had enough room for our needs. The back porch was a nice place to read & sit. I would have liked to try the front porch, but we came with great and chilly weather so I opted for the one with more sunshine.The bathrooms were stocked as if we were friends, not renters. Good attention to detail. The kitchen was comfortable to move around in and had ample room for dining/cooking. It was well-equipped and even had basic spices, oils, etc. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms also seemed more friendly than just basics. Lots of storage space (that we didn't need to use; but great option, nonetheless).
