Days Inn by Wyndham Harrisonburg

Current construction and run down hvac and ice machines. The old appliances work but ….. man are they old. I think when construction and rehab is complete things will be fine. The room it self and the staff did ok tho. The staff was actually really nice.

First room bathroom sink was cracked and stopped, so they moved us to a room with one bed not two as requested. This room was worse than the first. Sink was also cracked, toilet seat was cracked, sofa was torn and dirty. No clock no iron. Closet door was leaning up against the wall. Floors were so dirty that our feet were black as coal where we had been walking. Pool was out of order and no breakfast. Ants and roaches. They tried to check us out on friday and then did check us out a day earlier. The pictures on the website for this days inn must have been taken at another hotel, because it definitely was not where we stayed. It is a shame that this nasty, filthy hotel is handled by expedia and has the name Wyndam attached to it. You will not catch we near this hotel again and maybe not even a days inn. It is definitely the number 1 worse place we have ever stayed. Elizabeth Harris

Under renovation. Debris and garbage everywhere. Book with breakfast included. Checked in. No breakfast. Excuses. No credit for mis-advertising that breakfast is included, but is t, and hasn’t been for awhile. Small sign at counter stating this is not helpful for notifying customers, as most bookings are on-line, and not wlakups. Generally, filthy property.

The outside of the Hotel is dated. The inside was clean comfortable as well as modern,

Firstly my credit card was charged even before i got there to check in..i was told this is weekend policy. The ice machine was broken. The towels, the tub and refrigerator were dirty. The room was otherwise fine, What do I expect for $78 a night

We were given newly renovated room. Very nice. The hotel is two story motel where you park in front of rooms. Very expensive for a budget motel, but then again, it was JMU graduation weekend.

Room was clean shower was good. None of the ice machines were working. No breakfast and the worse was there was no Coffee. Nothing

This facility is a motel, not a hotel. Entry to each room is from the outside. The room itself appeared relatively new and was very clean. The exterior of the building was the opposite. The room looked out over the parking lot but also multiple dumpsters and debris. The exterior of the building where the rooms are located and the parking lot immediately caused my wife and I concern, although we did not encounter any problems. Upon walking up the stairs to our room we were "greeted" by a woman wearing a short-cropped top with her large belly exposed. We passed her multiple times. The room had an odd unpleasant odor which I surmised was from a cleaning product.The room for two people only had one caffinated coffee packet. The front desk staff-person was friendly and accomodating. The area surrounding the facility was commercial with many hotels and restaurants. The location was easy off and on I-81. For the price the room was comfortable and accommodating. I recommend that ownership invest in the exterior to create a better and a safer impression.

Property appeared unkept with overgrown vegetation and downed trees in the parking lot. The room was filthy, with the amount of dirt and trash behind the dilapidated cabinet and nightstand suggesting it had not been cleaned in quite a while! I opened the fridge to put some drinks in it only to find cockroach’s running around the shelves. The phone didn’t work. It was a “smoking “ room but had no ashtray! It appeared that the staff was using it as the tv and a/c were on when we entered the room, along with ashes and a sticky bottle ring on the nightstand. A female who said she was with maintenance came in and said she had no idea what was wrong with the phone. When asked about the filth her reply was that they had a couple of new girls in house keeping. We requested a different room that was clean and without roaches, but received no response from the office!

Would have been nice to have been able to have used the pool

Our room was clean and the location was good. They offered a simple breakfast and coffee.

The room was dirty. Towels were dirty. Black mold in the bathroom and around the hot tub. All walls and ceilings in the room were damaged and cracked. No lights around the vanity. The coffee pot did not work. Table leg was taped together. Desk chair was worn. Pick-up truck with men grilling and drinking in the parking lot.

Last minute booking! Booked Non smoking room. Room reeked of smoke.I had to clean room and put in air freshners to stand the musty odor. Curtains stinked of smoke odor. Dustball around baseboard of room, bathroom floors dirty not mopped trash particles on floors. Bathroom and room grossly out dated ,tub has rounded floor surface slippery and I fell backwards out of tub no rubber surface on tub floor very slippery and unsafe, hand rail on opposte side of tub, if you short you can not reach it. I DID HAVE MUCH SORENESS NEXT DAY FROM FALL. To top it off a Roach was found in bathroom next to the COFFEE Pot.Yes the coffee pot is in the bathroom. How sanitary is this! I was miserable all night. Had to sleep with light on afraid what else might be crawling around in there. That slippery tub really upset me after I fell. NOT SURE WHO MANAGING THIS PLACE BECAUSE THE NAME WAS REMOVED FROM WALL THAT SAYS MANAGER. IT SURE IS GIVING DAYS Inn WYNDHAM A BAD REPUTATION. I will never stay under this name again and will not recommend this place to anyone. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.. Beware if you are booking Here. The eyes and pictures shown are deceiving.They did fix the TV that wasn't working. Staff trying to work with what they have. The microwave is a fire trap waiting to catch fire, there are black spots in it exposed, was afraid to try it. Don't waste your money. Repeat Wyndham I Want my money returned! Nightmare!

The hotel, surroundings and rooms were filthy and wreaked of smoke. The noise of slamming doors and nightly cars doung "donuts" in the parking lot kept us awake. The staff could care less, and did not even acknowledge us when we approached the desk. Will never stay here again and would have left if there had been another room available in town.

The breakfast was satisfactory. The room was with a hallway with lots of loud noises throughout the evening because of the slamming of doors throughout the night. I found bugs in the bathroom and in the bedroom of which I've provided photos.

Only one of the wall outlets worked. Mold and water stains on ceiling . Stains on sheets, & pillow cases. Fridge had mold in it.

When checking in, I had informed the hotel of my Service Dog prior to arrival. When I got there I was asked for documentation of my service animal which is illegal based on the ADA Act. I have never had to show his paperwork ANYWHERE and was thus charged for a “pet” stay. He is not a pet. He is medically necessary and was working as he has been trained to do. The staff was dismissive and rude. To top it all off there were flies and a roach in the bathroom!

Unfortunately the room was dirty pet hair on the floor and pet odor in bed and blanket , food particles left over the bed and there was a food left in the microwave when we moved in. The room decor was ok. I booked for 2 days but unfortunately cancel the second day. I will not return back. Unfortunately management will not refund. I understand since I booked via Expedia.

i was very displeased with this hotel. when we walked into our room there was an unpleasant smell. the bathroom counters were sticky and dirty and it was clear the sink and shower had not been cleaned in a very long time. the towels that were folded up in our room had mascara and other makeup on them and had been folded up to appear clean. the bed had stains all over the comforter and sheets. there was mascara on the pillows and hair in the bed. the sheets had clearly not been washed. the room was very unclean and I will not be coming back to stay another time.

Inexpensive. Beds are nice. Room is non smoking but had been smoking previously. They did make a good attempt at covering over the smell but it lingered.

The hotel was renovating. The shower was new. The water pressure was terrible. The water was cold! The internet did not work. There were no blankets between the top sheet and blanket cover. There was no chair at the desk.

The room was great; however access to the property was difficult. We circled the area a few times before finding how to access it. the building was under renovation which meant our room was newly renovated and beautiful but it also meant that there was no breakfast at the time which was a disappointment.

Water pressure in bath sink was to to a almost nonexistent. The water pressure in tub not much better. Holes in the walls, somes halfway patched some untouched.

The doors to all the rooms made very loud amost banging noise when opened or closed. The doors were too big for the frame so they needed to be slammed shut.

While clean, the rooms definitely need to be updated. Chips in the paint on the walls, tv randomly went to mute, bathtub was slow to drain. Did like the wood floors vs gross carpeting. Check in was quick and easy, staff very pleasant

Door lock in the room was not working properly, one could open the door with light push, so security was compromised. Couldn't get Wi-Fi; info was not readily available. But room and bathroom were clean, mattress very comfortable. Overall acceptable.

I typically don’t submit reviews on trips, experiences , or whatever, but for this one I feel a real prompting too. This was a last minute trip to look at a truck my son found in marketplace. We live 4 hours away and it’s the day before Thanksgiving. We don’t leave until I get off work, expecting to get there at 10:30, we didn’t arrive until about 11:20. Check in was a breeze, and very quick. The young man at the desk was very courtesy and professional. When we got to our room, it was clean and already warm (temps had been dropping and it was a bit chilly outside). So to walk in a warm room was delightful!!! We unloaded and then went to get a quick bite to eat, many fast food choices very close to property and bring it was almost midnight something quick was ideal. The beds were perfect, firm and plenty of pillows. I slept the best I have ever slept at hotel here. The whole experience was really great, there was no loitering around the property and it was quiet and that was refreshing! Our last hotel was a nightmare!! If I am ever back in Harrisonburg, this Days Inn will my go to place!!!

Thank you for overbooking and giving my room away. Flying all day , driving two hrs in a storm and told that I do not have a room. My credit had been charged and had a confirmation email with check in details. Lady at the front desk did not seem to care. What a first impression!

Great hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Old fashioned feel but with modern amenities. Would highly recommend. Close to New River Gorge.

Staff is rude and inpatient and antagonizing. Had to put my own batteries in remote for it to work. These lower tier motels like this one have an “antagonizing the customer complex “. If you have an issue with a guest just call authorities. No point in antagonizing guests furthering discrepancies. The owners of this property in my opinion have absolutely no business running a motel. I’ve been using Expedia for years staying at many properties.

So it says pet friendly which it is but very little area to walk them. Breakfast was only cereal and waffles nothing else really. Our keys deactived the first night. The beds make so much noise forget trying to move! Also my room smelled like weed. I told the front desk so i wouldnt be charged for the smell! The service was very nice! The rooms are clean but it needs love

Very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. We accidentally damaged a wall in our room and Management worked with us to reach a fair and equitable solution. Would highly recommend this hotel.

It's a basic motel and you get what you pay for. However, certain things should not have happened. The female manager was rude and condescending to both me and another staff member when I asked for coffee in the lobby. The coffee provided had not been brewed properly. Also, I was worried about security when the first room to which I was given a key contained other people's mess/stuff. Overall, a budget friendly way to stay but with no expected luxury and a few snags.

This Days Inn was being remodeled so things were in flux but that did not impact us. Desk staff very responsive to inquiries. Ideal location for dining and shopping options.

It's very well renovated and upgraded place with convenient location and unbeatable prices.

It’s the motel-est motel that was ever a motel. Fit the budget and very convenient location.

Very nice to be close to shopping and restaurants.

Price was great, room was clean, quiet, but there was no breakfast offered. It’s not a big deal but if it’s advertised then it should available. Overall not bad for the price.
