This hotel is under construction and handed me a key to a room with wet paint and no furniture which is insane. Had to make last minute phone calls to find a new hotel. Should be shut down by building department for storing beds in the fire escape and propping the stairwell fire doors open. I can’t believe the guy gave me a key knowing there wasn’t even a bed in the room. What an awful experience. Now Hotels.com says they can’t refund my Key Cash points I used toward my stay and is being slow about issuing a credit card refund. I feel like I’ve been fully scammed by the hotel and the app both.

The place was super clean and the beds were absolutely amazing!! Check in was seamless, the morning breakfast options were great and everything was clean and organized. The only negative thing is that there is no elevator. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but I am awaiting knee replacement which made navigating the stairs quite difficult. I’d definitely recommend to others and would stay here again.

The Hillsville Super 8 has been our "stopping point" for years when we travel. They have always been friendly and accommodating and this past trip we noticed they are updating their rooms as budget permits, but enough for us to notice.

The room in general was disgusting, the toilet looked like it had never been cleaned, I found on the floor coins and hair ties and on the closet disposables plates and cups, the worst thing happened when I opened the night table drawer, I saw bread crumbs, pills and cockroach droppings, also the lampshade has accumulated dust. Practically that night was a nightmare. I tried to find another hotel close to it, but all of them had been filled.

Dirty blankets, non smoking room ... actually the entire building ... REEKED of cigarettes. The free breakfast is terrible which is why you see guests walk to McDonald's one by one. Quality inn is 10x better.

We stayed for 1 night in a king bed, pet-friendly room. I gave the room 4 stars, but would probably rate it more like a 3.7. This place had pros and cons. PROS: Check-in clerk was friendly and efficient Easy on & off the highway Room was good-sized Floors were laminate wood, so easy to clean Bathroom sink was granite and had 1 bowl with a long counter Tub was clean and shower worked as it should Heat worked well Bed and pillows were comfortable It was quiet at night and we slept well Room colors were soft and relaxing CONS: No elevator Heat was turned down, or off, in the stairwells and hallways, so it was very cold in those areas The owners must have been making dinner when we arrived because the halllways smelled like food/curry At one point, someone was smoking pot in a room at the end of our hallway and it carried all the way to our room The clerk told me our room (in the back building) was non-smoking, but when we walked in, it smelled like smoke The walls badly needed to be washed down as they had various "splashes" of food or who knows what on them in several spots in the bed area and the bathroom The breakfast wasn't much--coffee, 2 kinds of cereal and some muffins I think the owners have done what they could to remodel this place and it's not bad; it just fell a little short of our expectations. I don't think we'll stay here again.

Another Hilton of the Super 8's. I just wished the WIFI here worked better. Aside from Internet issues I DO HIGHLY Recommend staying here. The management is super kind, accomodating, and more than willing to help their customers with pretty much any and all issues. I give this hotel a score of 9, from 1 being the lowest score to 10 being the highest score. This place is a 10 on a scale of safety, I feel 0 need to look over my shoulder staying here & the surrounding area is as nice as it is HIGHLY SAFE.

I stopped here for a night on a road trip with my daughter and our stay was as amazing as it could have been. The price was perfect and we slept very well on comfortable beds. The staff was extremely friendly and as helpful. The free breakfast was a pretty sweet bonus to get us started the next day. Downsides? The two beds in our room were not queens, only one. The other was definitely a twin. We were one of maybe two parties in the place, yet they put us in a room facing the highway.. truck breaks are quite loud. The place is a bit rundown, but had character. Minor issues like that, but I would most likely be staying here again.

We stop at this hotel at least twice a year when travelling to see family. It is very convenient to Route 77 with gas and food very close. Excellent place to stop for a night's sleep and breakfast.

Stayed here on the way to Myrtle Beach. Is a clean hotel with friendly staff but definitely older. Everything worked just fine. Bed was comfortable. People were loud in the hallway in the middle of the night but that's no fault of the hotel. Area was a little sketchy but felt safe inside the hotel.

Room was clean and comfortable. There weren't many outlets in the room Breakfast was minimal-cereal, waffles, toast and instant oatmeal. No decaf coffee. No fruit.

Terrible mattress, but rooms were clean and water pressure and temperature was great. Breakfast was good but limited. Over all it was just ok for what we needed.

The place was super clean and the beds were absolutely amazing!! Check in was seamless, the morning breakfast options were great and everything was clean and organized. The only negative thing is that there is no elevator. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but I am awaiting knee replacement which made navigating the stairs quite difficult. I’d definitely recommend to others and would stay here again.

They say breakfest between 6 and 9, no one where there for service, the waffle machine was not on, there was no bread! Could not ask for nothing there was nobody there!

breakfast -- very poor - bread toast (mold) no one was taking care of breakfast , one good thing room was comfortable & mattress was excellent-- very quiet , very few cars on a thursday night , no wonder

A nice surprise. We were looking for an inexpensive hotel on the way to Myrtle beach. I will definitely stay here again everything was very nice clean comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was also very good

The room was clean; however the mattresses are on a metal base and they slide when you sit on them. There is no elevator. The hallway had an unpleasant odor and we had to turn on the air conditioner when we got into the room.

The bed was clean and comfortable. . . That is about all the positives I can say. The hallway smelled horribly as did the room. The bathroom door hardly closed. Everything was in sad shape and we tried hard not to look too closely at anything, so as to not walk out. It was a cheap, cheap place to sleep. If that is all you need, go ahead. The front desk worker was kind and got more breakfast items out when requested. Breakfast included cheap, bad bagged eggs (not even the good bagged eggs). The sausage (CHEAP sausage) was put in the serving tray cold and I had to microwave it. Overall, a bad experience.

Check in and out staff was very polite and friendly. Check in process was a little delayed. Tile floor left white socks dirty. Breakfast was ok. For a place to sleep and shower while traveling the price was right!
