Older property which has had some cosmetic upgrades (paint, carpet, etc) but is in need of some capital improvements. Room was clean and quiet with comfortable bed and decent shower. Place is dated. Entering the hotel there was a moldy, dingy smell. Front counter was cluttered with papers, not inviting. Ceiling tiles walking to our room had water stains. No elevator so we switched to a bottom level floor. Bathroom sink clogged. Room was somewhat clean but smelled of mold. Breakfast was limited, sausage had an odd taste. Staff was nice that was the positive.

The property was small. They gave us a hard time about our dog but eventually said ok for a $25 fee. No elevator to bring luggage up to the room. Room was okay, but I wouldn’t stay longer than a night.

This is a decent place. The TV only had one channel in the fitness room (Sci-Fi) and nobody was at the front desk when I looked to see if this could be remedied. The breakfast was the standard fare, but good. The reason for the low rating was two nights cost almost $600 because there was an "event" in Blacksburg. Since we were paying an "event rate" I was hoping for a little more of "event treatment." They have two floors, but no elevator, so if don't want to lug your stuff up a flight of stairs, ask for a first floor room. But the bed was comfy, the shower was ok and the room space was average.

Loudest, squeakiest bathroom door ever, no elevator, and breakfast was out of juices (machine poured out colored water with no juice concentrate left), there was no hot water for tea and only one option of teabag, and “toast” was 2 pieces of white bread in individual ziploc baggies but I honestly never saw a toaster.

I didn't know until I got there that there was no elevator. We had ordered a room on the 1st floor because of mobility issues. We had to haul our bags up the stairs. Not happy.

Older model bathroom and hotel, but there were efforts to maintain cleanliness and to keep updated. The air condition was in and out, as well as the fridge. However, the gym and breakfast was nice! We paid top dollar unfortunately, due to parents weekend.

Dirty. Had to change rooms due to the first one smelling like animal urine. The woman at the front desk was very nice about it and got us a new room right away. The next morning there seemed to be some disagreement between staff in front of guests.

Newer beds with kinda clean linens. Av is efficient and quiet. Mold smell in the entrance and lobby. Mold and grime all over the bathroom. Carpet is gross. Only a place to sleep for a night so hopefully no bedbugs.

After we checked in, we asked for the elevator to take our suitcases to our room. We were told there wasn’t one. When they advertise their property, that should be included in the description. There also was no staff to help. The room was okay except for the dampness and mold in the shower.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The shower was full of mildew. Needs a good cleaning. Arrived with a dog website said pets up to 75 pounds, clerk said only 50 pounds would allow it this time. It was pretty pricey. Will not stay there again!

This place is DIRTY. Like sticky everywhere. The rooms are temperature regulated, or maybe the a/c units are just super old... but everything feels WET in the room. Even the bed linen. Yuck. And the shower was FULL of mold. I had my baby staying there with me and he was coughing so bad just after an hour. I had reserved 3 nights, but went to the front desk and asked for a refund for the next 2 nights, and told them I was checking out first thing the next morning. Sooooo gross. Seriously. Stay away!!

Drove 12 hrs from Little Rock - had my 60 pound golden with me. Spotless and clean, only thing is bring earplugs if you’re room is back of property, there’s an ice machine that goes off at 4 am to make ice. Very minor just be aware, otherwise amazing stay.

Hi. Not so good. Every time ac kicked on sounded like airplane in the room.Bathroom exhaust fan roared so loud we couldn't stand to use it.And entry/ exit door to room stuck and squeaked.Made it practically impossible to be quite for other quest when coming or going.Would not stay there again!

The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable, but the whole building was outdated and generally in poor condition. It just needed an overhaul. This was not a new LaQuinta. It looked like a hotel that used to be another hotel that earned a franchise. There was not a lot of privacy because the walls and doors were thin. Everything just seemed old. Parking was inconvenient. It was too expensive for the quality. It was Motel 6 quality at LaQuinta price.

Average experience. Check in was good and staff were nice. That’s about where it ended. Hallway reeked of weed and began to creep in our room. Probably because the crack in the door was larger than it should have been. Noisy neighbors. Up and loud until around 2AM. Slamming doors all hours of the night. This was my second time staying here. I will find another hotel in the area next time.

The check in staff were the nicest and most efficient we have seen in a long time. The morning coffee and breakfast selection was very good. We favorably commented on the coffee in the lobby as we had just stayed in a much more expensive hotel that when we asked about coffee they directed us to the on site Starbucks- how sad to have to pay a large rate, fees, and taxes only to be told to go buy your own cup of coffee in the morning!

We were told that as locals (we live over an hour away) we could not stay here. No explanation given just 'its policy.' This policy is not listed on the expedia page for the hotel. They let you know how much the pet fee is and that they do not have an elevator but I guess they ran out of characters to type No Locals.

I booked a 3 night stay through hotels.com but once I arrived to check in i was told that they didn't rent to locals! Was not aware of this and i had stayed there previously and was a local then! I was told that he would try to get the reservation canceled without a charge, there shouldn't be a charge when i wasn't wanting to cancel! It was poor customer service!

I booked a 3 night stay through hotels.com but once I arrived to check in i was told that they didn't rent to locals! Was not aware of this and i had stayed there previously and was a local then! I was told that he would try to get the reservation canceled without a charge, there shouldn't be a charge when i wasn't wanting to cancel! It was poor customer service!

The hotel charged my room that was already paid on this web site. So they charged twice. I called 3 times, and instead to give me credit, they charged me an EXTRA stay. So now I was charged 3 times. . , I spoke with Crystel and Elen, but I still waiting my credits. What a poor management. They gave me a lot of headaches and it isn’t done properly. Good luck for others customers.

This was a good location and close to Radford University. I wish a question would have been asked online if any special conditions were required. My mom cannot walk well and we ended up on the second floor with no elevator. .

The hotel is close to the points I needed to visit. While the property is starting to show some age, it is apparent that upgrades are being made. The shower in my room looked new, linens were clean and new, and everything worked the way they should.

We were hesitant to book La Quinta after a bad experience at another location, but this location was such a better experience. The location was clean and well kept, the front desk staff were friendly, and this was not too terribly far of a drive when we had a weekend at VA Tech planned. I did not love the continental breakfast at all, and the beds were just o.k. Comfort wise. I would absolutely consider staying here again in a pinch.

The young man who checked us in was was very nice. The inside of the hotel was clean & comfortable, but the outside was kind of gross. The breakfast was not good as there was little to choose from.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hall smelt a little, but this hotel allows dogs so understandable. The breakfast was really good and the staff regular kept the food filled. I would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed Direct TV (just like home) and the shower and eggs/sausage for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful at breakfast. well lit parking was comforting. Appreciate the gym option. I usually stay at a hotel nearby that was booked. This hotel is definitely on my list when I return

Loudest, squeakiest bathroom door ever, no elevator, and breakfast was out of juices (machine poured out colored water with no juice concentrate left), there was no hot water for tea and only one option of teabag, and “toast” was 2 pieces of white bread in individual ziploc baggies but I honestly never saw a toaster.

Hotel was great, last minute booking. New clean rooms, staff is nice. Great toiletries! Dove soap, shampoo and conditioner and not in those tiny bottles that are wasteful. Great free breakfast!! Yes there is a waffle maker!! Hotel in only 2 floors so can easily use stairs and not have to wait for an elevator. Would stay again.

For the price it's not terrible. The room was clean. The TV didn't work. The A.C. took a while to cool down the room but it did cool down after a while. We were offered bottled water at check in, which was nice. The hotel seems older. There were two women from the maid staff about to get into a fist fight and yelling at each other as we were leaving.

It is sad to see a strong looking establishment in poor condition due to the lack of cleanliness and small fixiable cosmetic problem.The ice machine needs cleaning out. my husband's had sick stomach after using ice for bottled water from the hotel. Our rooms 112 and 116, the bathroom ceilings had holes that were stuffed with toilet papers. The glass doors of the showers were filmy and the tiles around the glass doors were full of mildew. We had to wipe down the counters in the bathrooms and it was very dirty. The place needs some deep and detail cleaning and the small cosmetic problems can be fixed without breaking the bank. It is apparent that property is not being well maintained.

We stopped into this La Quinta for a short stay over. We usually choose La Quinta because of the budget friendly rates and general cleanliness, but this experience was EXTRAORDINARY. The rooms and property were squeaky clean, property felt very safe and secure. And Staff was so friendly and helpful! Jolly, specifically kept asking how our stay was, if our rooms were clean, and how the breakfast was, and if he could do anything else for us. Truly made our stay so special! We will certainly be back to La Quinta Radford should the occasion call!
