Property was outdated. Room smelled. Very little hot water. No breakfast. All machines were out of order so long drinks had caved in. Picture online looked nothing like the hotel

Stayed October 15,16, 2024, Excellent location in Tappahannock, within walking distance from Wal-Mart, Burger King, Subway, Wawa, Food Lion and other popular business. I requested a non smoking room, however everything around smell cigar smoke, outside, corridors, inside, the window of my room to the outside was cracked so the smoke of people smoking outside penetrate the room, even the bedspread had cigarette burns, so I have to assume this was a smoking room and they lied to me or either the mismanagement is such they don’t know which rooms are smoking and which one are not. The smoke detector hanging from the ceiling was disconnected and of high concern, if the fire marshal read this check room 105, sure the motel occupants will be evicted until fixed. Furniture was old and in bad condition. The toilet was totally lose and not attached to the floor; the bathroom fan could not be turned on because makes more noise than a railway locomotive. The corridor floor carpet looks shows never been cleaned, seems that carpet cleaner machines are not known in that part of the country. The ice machine has a sign temporary out of order, however the sign looks was there forever, if you want ice just go to Walmart, or Wawa or Sheets and buy a bag.

This hotel is a tragedy. Stayed here a year or so ago for work and it was acceptable, but this time it was a different story. The curtains were falling off the rod, mildew/dust on bathroom ceiling, no faucet handle. I brought in my lysol to make the aromas of the room tolerable, but it only masked the smell of cigarettes, damp and old body odor. Found the previous tenant's vitamins next to the bed. This was the second room we got. The first one was still occupied and had belongings everywhere in it. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. Housekeeping will start knocking at 8 am to see if you're ready to check out yet. Not sure why because clearly it's not cleaning or maintenance that's going to happen. Maybe they need to make sure the roaches are getting breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the equipment in the lobby for breakfast is broken. They also state they have laundry available. No, it is a laundry mat across the street which is also in disrepair. This probably explains why the towels and linens are stained and discolored. Definitely removed it from my hotel list for work. I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment at least until the address some basic things like faucets and holes. The clerk was nice and helpful.

The elevator wasn’t working. Was charged $6.00 per bottle of water and total came to $38.00 on my statement it was charged twice. Next day asked the service desk and water was $3.00 per bottle so was overcharged $58.00 dollars for the water. Was also charged an extra $250.00 at checking in and hasn’t been refunded either. What a mess!

Although check in was easy, our stay quickly went downhill. Lots of people loitering, noisy, lobby unwelcoming, hallways stank of marijuana. Our room had one lamp, none next to the beds. Beds were comfortable enough. Carpet was very dirty, with grit embedded, and very damp. Bathroom was in terrible shape, ceiling falling down, fan not working. This hotel needs a complete overhaul, as everything appeared to have been repaired several times, but not improved. It was cheap, so guess we get what we paid for, but according to other reviews, it was just fine! That was not our experience.

The toilet seat was dirty, as well as the bathroom mirrors. The room smelled musty. The floor was damp from some unknown liquid. Smelled like mildew. Room #115 had a roach infestation. I have various videos of roaches crawling all night. Big and small ones. The ceiling is hanging down in the bathroom. The room should not have been rented out.

The first smell as you walked in the door was heavy marijuana. I commented and was told it was legal. The whole hotel is in need of upgrade,worn dirty carpets, breakfast area machines with out of order signs ect. Our room was not horrible but little things like no tp holder in bathroom (broken), tp left on sink. Cigarette burns all over vanity. Curtains not hung properly ect. Not much choices in Tappahanock but this on the lower end of the list.

The rooms were disgusting. There was stuff spotted on the walls. The sheets were stained same with the duvets. The sockets were coming out of the wall. There was a hole in the bathtub. Smelt heavy, heavy cigarette smoke. The carpets were dirty as hell would not recommend.

Got there an hour before check in time... and was told its $15 extra to check in early... so, had to wait out a rainy afternoon to get into room. Room was OK to Average... had a very worn feel. Floor was dirty. Several people hanging around all night at the backdoor... more people there in the morning made the whole thing feel unsafe.

I brought in my lysol to make the aromas of the room tolerable, but it only masked the smell of cigarettes, damp and old body odor. Found the previous tenant's vitamins next to the bed. This was the second room we got. The first one was still occupied and had belongings everywhere in it. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. Housekeeping will start knocking at 8 am to see if you're ready to check out yet. Not sure why because clearly it's not cleaning or maintenance that's going to happen. Maybe they need to make sure the roaches are getting breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, the equipment in the lobby for breakfast is broken. They also state they have laundry available. No, it is a laundry mat across the street which is also in disrepair. This probably explains why the towels and linens are stained and discolored. Definitely removed it from my hotel list for work. I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment at least until the address some basic things like faucets and holes. The clerk was nice and helpful.

Got there an hour before check in time... and was told its $15 extra to check in early... so, had to wait out a rainy afternoon to get into room. Room was OK to Average... had a very worn feel. Had to plunge the toilet to get it to flush. Staff did have toilet plunger ready for me to use. bed was dirty and broken checked out early. staff was _zero_ help with checkout. trying to get refund for unused night

The elevator wasn’t working. Was charged $6.00 per bottle of water and total came to $38.00 on my statement it was charged twice. Next day asked the service desk and water was $3.00 per bottle so was overcharged $58.00 dollars for the water. Was also charged an extra $250.00 at checking in and hasn’t been refunded either. What a mess!

The first smell as you walked in the door was heavy marijuana. I commented and was told it was legal. The whole hotel is in need of upgrade,worn dirty carpets, breakfast area machines with out of order signs ect. Our room was not horrible but little things like no tp holder in bathroom (broken), tp left on sink. Cigarette burns all over vanity. Curtains not hung properly ect. Not much choices in Tappahanock but this on the lower end of the list.

Stayed October 15,16, 2024, Excellent location in Tappahannock, within walking distance from Wal-Mart, Burger King, Subway, Wawa, Food Lion and other popular business. I requested a non smoking room, however everything around smell cigar smoke, outside, corridors, inside, the window of my room to the outside was cracked so the smoke of people smoking outside penetrate the room, even the bedspread had cigarette burns, so I have to assume this was a smoking room and they lied to me or either the mismanagement is such they don’t know which rooms are smoking and which one are not. The smoke detector hanging from the ceiling was disconnected and of high concern, if the fire marshal read this check room 105, sure the motel occupants will be evicted until fixed. Furniture was old and in bad condition. The toilet was totally lose and not attached to the floor; the bathroom fan could not be turned on because makes more noise than a railway locomotive. The corridor floor carpet looks shows never been cleaned, seems that carpet cleaner machines are not known in that part of the country. The ice machine has a sign temporary out of order, however the sign looks was there forever, if you want ice just go to Walmart, or Wawa or Sheets and buy a bag.

Very nice staff, but there was a loud poker game going on in the lobby when I arrived at 4pm. The juice machine was not working for breakfast. The whole motel smelled funky. I did NOT feel safe. Sorry. I would not stay there again.

Lots of sketchy long-term residents hanging around. Changing oil in the parking lot, possible illegal activities with cars pulling up to groups of people in parking lot and then taking off, people just sitting in their cars, being loud, and lots of garbage in the lots and grass area.

Hotel was so unwelcoming, we left shortly after check-in. The room had a very unpleasant stale odor, the t.v. was broken, the beds were old and saggy, and no soap in bathroom (lack of any amenities). We left so hastily we did not ask for a refund. We would appreciate a complete refund of all charges.

This Hotel is horrible! It looks as if it hasn’t been updated in 30 years. Carpets are all stained, bedding was stained, hair in the sheets, secondary security lock was broken on the inside of the door. People were smoking cigarettes and marijuana as you could smell it everywhere. It was like 100 room trap house. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful, after all she doesn’t own the place she just works there. They charged me $50 to cancel my stay. This place needs torn down so a decent place can be built. Stay away!

When I walked in to my room. There was an awful stench coming from it. The first thing I saw was zero table for the lamp and all the furniture was duct taped together. I felt like I had bugs crawling on me in the night and when I woke up I saw a bug on my pillow. I’m terribly disgusted by this hotel and there needs to be a CHANGE.
