Our stay at Beach Quarters Resort was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The pools were cold but were still a nice amenities to use. The only downside is the ice machine on most floors were down and they kept having elevator issues. You have to park in their parking garage and it is very small. So be prepared when driving larger vehicles.

We stayed in an oceanfront room with a king bed. Clean room with a balcony and a GIANT tub. Staff was super helpful at check in, we didn't interact with them beyond that because we didn't need to. The parking garage attached to the hotel is very tight, I don't recommend using it with a bigger vehicle. We brought an SUV so we ended up parking at 9th street garage just a couple minutes walk away. The room wasn't huge but did come with a small kitchen area with a sink, some dishes, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The balcony was very nice. The weather wasn't great when we visited so there were red flags at the beach. We still walked the boardwalk and sat on the beach for a while but it was great getting to use the pools as well. The rooftop pool isn't huge but was nice for some relaxation, same with the indoor pool and hot tub. We had a great trip and would recommend this hotel to others. They are a non-smoking resort (this includes vaping) even on the balcony so there were signs posted everywhere about that. It is in a good location right on the oceanfront that was in a bit more relaxed area. There were food and bars within walking distance (Chix on the beach and Waterman's grille are like right next-door). If you are looking for more touristy shops and activity I would go further up the boardwalk. It's just a bit of a longer walk from the hotel, or a 2 minutes drive.

Great location, needs renovations, the room was very beat up but ok, Pools great!! Front desk is top tier!! Safety is top tier (you basically need a key card for everything, including the elevators) Garage, could use expansion!!! Clean, great activities for the entire family!!

To begin with, I'm not a Kevin, i have never written a review for anything, but this deserves one.The floor in the room was so dirty, we had to wear our shoes the whole time we were there to keep our feet clean. If you walked from the shower to the balcony , our feet were completely black and gritty. The grout between the tiles were black about 3" up before it turned white. I know they have to clean the rooms quick, but even if they moped a couple of times a week, would make a difference, i know because i used to mop floors and strip wax and rewax grocery store floors. This is property seems to be one of the older hotels there, i know , because we have stayed at a lot of the hotels up and down the oceanfront over the last 30 years, the southern oart of the oceanfront hotels are all the older ones there. I know they call it a resort, but it's far from that. They call this a resirt , so they don't have to have enough staff to clean the rooms daily, resulting in higher prifut

Room smelt clean. Linens were clean. Great view of the beach. Huge bath/ shower combo. Almost slipped getting out. The mattress was so hard. Messed my back and hip up. The hotel hallways smelt of marijuanna. The hallways and doors need a good cleaning and painting. Just seemed dingy. Overall the hotel needed an update. But Great location. Jessica, the front desk staff was awesome.

The neighbors next to us, were extremely loud until almost midnight. I didn't like that there was a door connecting our rooms, making it even easier to hear their disrespectful noise, screaming, blowing up an air mattress after 11 pm, throwing something against our wall repeatedly, adults and children screaming. I called in a noise complaint at 11 pm. It carried on for at least another 45 minutes. There was a large cockroach in the bathtub. We left a day early. Won't return or recommend.

This hotel was awesome in that it was beachfront. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, but the shower was difficult to get into. My husband and I get around fine but we are elderly, and we literally had to climb over a ledge so to speak to get into the tub/shower combination. We navigated it just fine but it was awkward. I would imagine it would be very challenging for heavier people or people with even mild disabilities. That said, the room had good amenities and we enjoyed our stay.

Room layout strange. Tub/ shower combo has large tub making it hard to get into and out of a challenge. Also shower / tub opens into the room. Separate toilet closet is very small. But clean and 2 great restaurants next door.

Booked a 2-double bed suite with kitchenette through Expedia. Upon arrival was told by front desk hotel was mistakenly overbooked and that we would have to move rooms after our first night and stay in a different room for our other booked two nights. We asked if they had a different room type so we wouldn’t have to move and they were very accommodating. Unfortunately we ended up in a room that had a door leading into the room next to it (when families request adjoining rooms). You can hear “everything” going on in the room next to us…as if they were right in the same room with us. This made It difficult to sleep. The shower/tub combo in our room was a bit inconvenient as you had to literally step over a wall 2 feet high by 1 foot thick. Tough situation for the elderly or anyone w/ back issues. Room was clean but a bit dated. King bed was a bit stiff but not too bad. View was great from the basic beach front balcony. The parking garage is very tight for a large truck/SUV. They have parking spaces “way” too close to the floor level turns. The staff, particularly the front desk, were very nice, welcoming and professional. Hotel is on the south end of boardwalk, less crowded but plenty of shopping & dining options very close by. Sunnyside restaurant right across from hotel was our breakfast go to each morning while Waterman’s (right next to hotel) Mahi’s and Chix were all great nearby seafood options. We were in town for the Shamrock Marathon and on the eve of the marathon the room next to us was so loud! We called security twice and they did nothing so we had to go to the front desk to get a new room. (Which we had to request) They did move us - at midnight. I wish they had done more to help us. Every room is ocean front so that was amazing.

Room was very nice i like that it was right next to the beach and close to everything. The bed was big and there was a nice big bathtub but it is open so if you’re traveling with other people beware of that. I only have one complaint which is that i could hear everything from the next door room but that’s cause theirs a door in between them to pass through.

After reading previous reviews, I was worried about staying here. Fortunately, it EXCEEDED our expectations! Location was phenomenal! Delicious restaurant next door! Comfortable bedding! Immaculate fitness center! Awesome office staff! (We had a very thoughtful gift waiting for us in our room after letting them know we were celebrating our wedding anniversary) The "not so great" list is the property was not as "fancy" as other resorts, but the affordability more than made up for it! We also had troubles getting the water at a comfortable temperature in order to shower/wash hands. It was scalding HOT! But once we figured it out, it was ALL GOOD! Would DEFINITELY stay here again! 💜

Indoor pool area was really nice. We had an issue with the couch in our room and they brought us a brand new couch to replace it immediately. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Some areas still need updating but you can see they are working on it.

Hotel is older; however it was as advertised and nice. My only issue is I don’t appreciate being approached by time share sale. We stated we weren’t interested. However, now Hilton has me on a call list and keeps calling about time share. They should state in description that you will be solicited by Hilton.

For 1 night I spent $612 only to get there and my room was not ready well after check-in time 4pm until around 8pm. They did provide a later checkout time of 11:30am but that was really it. The staff were kind and I guess they did all they could to help. Nonetheless, for that price I feel something more should of been done for my family.

We were in town for the Shamrock Marathon and on the eve of the marathon the room next to us was so loud! We called security twice and they did nothing so we had to go to the front desk to get a new room. (Which we had to request) They did move us - at midnight. I wish they had done more to help us. Every room is ocean front so that was amazing.

Wonderful property right on the beach. Location is excellent, can walk to restaurants and shopping or take the trolley all over for $4.50 per day. We stayed in a one bedroom and it was spacious with four of us. The balcony was huge! The bathroom was small but didn’t bother us at all. Our only negative was that the bed was hard but it was a great stay. Definitely do the Rudee Rocket speed boat tour, we saw so many dolphins and got splashed too! You can walk to it from this hotel.

This property is located on the south end of VA Beach boardwalk, very beach-accessible. Friendly, helpful staff. Our room was nice; I would stay there again. However, the price was too high for the facility, and they need to spruce up the hallways if they want to sell time-share or full ownership.

We stayed in an oceanfront room with a king bed. Clean room with a balcony and a GIANT tub. Staff was super helpful at check in, we didn't interact with them beyond that because we didn't need to. The parking garage attached to the hotel is very tight, I don't recommend using it with a bigger vehicle. We brought an SUV so we ended up parking at 9th street garage just a couple minutes walk away. The room wasn't huge but did come with a small kitchen area with a sink, some dishes, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The balcony was very nice. The weather wasn't great when we visited so there were red flags at the beach. We still walked the boardwalk and sat on the beach for a while but it was great getting to use the pools as well. The rooftop pool isn't huge but was nice for some relaxation, same with the indoor pool and hot tub. We had a great trip and would recommend this hotel to others. They are a non-smoking resort (this includes vaping) even on the balcony so there were signs posted everywhere about that. It is in a good location right on the oceanfront that was in a bit more relaxed area. The staff was friendly. The check in went smoothly and better than expected. The room was clean with plenty of towels for 5 people. One of the toilet paper holders was coming off the wall. A maintenance issue not house keeping. Roof top pool..was told there was refreshments there and there was not..the hotel has no restaurants..no bars no givft shop or anything of that kind. They offer a discount card and a list of places that you can get a discount at but at 20.00 a plate for a meal..you really dont feel the discount in your pocket. The beach location was great and of course the balcony view amazing as expected. Me personally i would not use this location again i prefer to have everything in one location. Meaning my eating and drinking but this trip was about what was available in the hotel for my grandkids not me and that was beach and pool access. You decide for yourself. I liked that Watermans was right beside it, they have amazing food. Didnt like that we had to keep messing with toilet because most of the time it wouldn't fill back up with water.

We had a great stay here! Our room was on the 4th floor with a beautiful ocean view, which we loved. Parking was convenient and close to our room, though the garage is quite tight—best suited for compact cars or small SUVs. The only thing that would have made our stay even better was if the outdoor bar and pool had been open. It would have been the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would happily return!

Very affordable option for the area. Great beach views and access. Older hotel. You can tell they are trying to upgrade rooms and facilities but still feels dated. Super firm bed which i found very uncomfortable. Wish they had a restaurant/bar on site.

The on-site parking garage was closed and parking was 5 blocks away. The 1980’s model electric shuttle was never available at 6am as promised and needed. Had to walk in the dark and cold, not safe. The indoor pool had a serious floor drain issue. A few inches of water stood on the floor at all times. Watching my kids in the pool resulted in shoes and bottom of pants getting soaked. Express check out, where you’re instructed to leave your key card in the room, had us locked in the hallway coming out of the elevator. You need your room key card to EXIT, but you do not need it to enter the hallway that leads to the elevators and rooms. They have 3 elevators but only one was working most of the weekend. Two were down a good part of Saturday, then they were out of service again on Sunday. Been going to this hotel for 30 years. Mind blowing, when it used to be a nice resort. Very disappointing!

We enjoyed the hotel being on the beach and the suite was nice. The elevator situation was horrible. There was one working elevator with a very full hotel. That is beyond unacceptable. We had to use the stairs most of the time, which was difficult as we had a 20-month-old with us. However, because of the elevator issue, we had to wait 30 minutes for an elevator we could get on for check out. When one did arrive, all of us couldn’t fit on it and, again, I used the stairs. Since it took so long for us to leave the hotel, we missed my granddaughter’s performance. Not only was she devastated, we wasted more than $150.00 in tickets to watch her competition, and that didn’t happen. The cheerleading competition was the reason we were in Virginia Beach. The parking was atrocious, also. Since the garage is closed for repair, you had to wait for the trolly to bring you to your car, then you had to drive back to the hotel to retrieve your belongings. There were vehicles parked and left in the hotel driveway area, so you were stuck and weren’t able to get out once you packed your vehicle to leave. That, also delayed the process of leaving. This is one hotel I would never stay at again.
