Rooms were clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Food was decent. Area is drivable to many things, but not a walkable place. Only complaint is I wanted to swim in the "heated" pool, and it was very cold and not heated at all when I got there.

The hotel itself is nice, but the ongoing construction made our stay less enjoyable. Navigating the property was a challenge, as you have to enter through a side door and make your way to a somewhat confusing check-in area. There were no bellhops or carts available, which made transporting our luggage to the room more difficult. The construction noise was noticeable during the day, and while breakfast was included, accessing it was inconvenient as we had to walk around the outside of the building to reach the dining area. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Once construction is complete, I believe the hotel will be much more comfortable and better organized. Until then, the disruptions and inconveniences make it difficult to fully recommend.

This property is undergoing major construction. The entrance is almost under lockdown with drywall everywhere! Very disappointing to walk up to something so un inviting. This hotel should not be open to public it’s that bad. The rooms were fully renovated and custom service was really nice so we ended up staying for the night.

This property is currently under renovation with no amenities. This is not listed on Expedia or on the hotel website. We checked in and then decided to move hotels, price is way too high given lack of services. Also if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues you will never make it in thru temporary entrance.

The property is fully a construction zone. We selected this hotel because it had a pool and onsite dining, and arrive to find a full out construction zone, which meant that both the pool and onsite dining were closed. The bar was open part time with an extremely limited menu - none of which I could eat due to food allergies. In addition to that, the room we were in had a window that leaked every time it rained, which made for an extremely humid and damp smelling room. We requested maintenance and while they came and looked at it, they left and said they’d be back… after waiting a while, I flagged down one of the cleaning staff who said they’d radio for them to come back. We waited a long while, but nobody came. The window still leaks. The icing on the cake was the WiFi that didn’t work in our room - which meant I had to stand in the hall or go down a floor to check emails. The response from the front desk was to move rooms (at 9pm… with my two kids). Overall this was the worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had… I would have had better amenities if I stayed at the motel 6 up the road - at least their pool was open and it was walkable to multiple dining options.

I booked this room wth intentions on being able to utilize the pool and to utter disappointment they were under construction and the pool had been taken out. This left not myself but ny 6yo daughter very dissatisfied after a long hot day and just wanting to come to our room and chill at the pool. I feel this shoukd have been something disclosed upon booking and I would really appreciate a partial refund for not being able to utilize a portion of the facilities.

Besides the two housekeepers that came in to change our sheets. My stay was not okay. Due to the fact the staff gave me a dirty room that had not been serviced. When the manger was notified he basically stated that there was not much he could do due to the fact that there were no more rooms available. Not as much as a discount was given. Probably will not choose to stay again.

Property was clean, front desk very hospitable, nice pool area, clean hotel. Phone did not work, housekeeper was rude, didn’t refill soap, or properly make up the bed, housekeeper appears offended when we ask to come back in a few minutes. There was a bug in the bed. It was a non smoking room and the couch smelled like old cigarette.

When we arrived were not completely aware of all the renovations and were pretty annoyed that some of the services/facilities were not open or in service. We arrived in our room and there was hair on the counter next to the bed and also in the bed when we pulled back the sheet. Then opened the mini Fridge and it was full of water which was leaking all over the floor and a large puddle. When we went to call the front desk from the phone in the room the phone was not connected and when I say not connected I mean no Jack plug from the phone to the wall. So yes we requested another room. Bring us to the next room and things were ok other than the barn door to the bathroom would not open and close well, I think was not on the track. And it was a ok room, nothing special. And then here comes 10pm and my daughter looks over to a bug crawling in the bed. We wanted out at that point and honestly just dealt since we had already asked for another room. We are not bougie but we do ask for clean accommodations and these were not considering all the issues we had within just the first 10 minutes. Would not recommend this hotel and we will not be going back. The renovations they are doing look like will be nice just hope the maintenance and housekeeping of the rooms improve for future guests. We also spoke with a woman on the elevator that agreed with what we were annoyed by and she said at least was cheap, sorry not cheap enough for what we dealt with. Photos are deceiving

The hotel is under major renovations and I can see why! My room was full of mold/mildew smell. I woke up with a horrible headache and congestion. I checked out and within an hour every was back to normal.

The room was very dingy and appeared dirty. There were stains on the coach and walls. Dust/debris behind couch. The shower was extremely unappealing and appeared dirty. Internet did not work and phone in room did not work. The only plus was pleasant staff at check-in and attentive, competent staff in the restaurant. Breakfast was fine.

Good-Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and competent. Not so good-Barn door on bathroom extremely difficult to move and only opened half way, toilet did not flush properly at times, only one option available for prepaid breakfast and this was not disclosed at time of reservation.

Rooms have been recently updated so that was nice. The facility seems to be well kept. Only issue was the refrigerator, didn’t work but we didn’t use it much either.

The front desk and staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were updated and comfy. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star was because of the highway. We were on the side with the highway and hearing sirens and cars wasn’t ideal so it made it pretty hard to go to sleep. Had to wait til the noise died down to rest.

The room was very clean and comfortable. My only request would be not to stay on the side of the building closest to the highway. There was a bit of noise from the highway overnight. We didn't use the bar or restaurant. The staff was pleasant.

The response from the front desk was to move rooms (at 9pm… with my two kids). Overall this was the worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had… I would have had better amenities if I stayed at the motel 6 up the road - at least their pool was open and it was walkable to multiple dining options.

We selected this hotel because it had a pool and onsite dining, and arrive to find a full out construction zone, which meant that both the pool and onsite dining were closed. The bar was open part time with an extremely limited menu - none of which I could eat due to food allergies. When they did give me a room, they key didn't work. They gave me a key to an already occupied room. Fortunately, no one was there when we walked in but it was unsettling to know that mishap could happen. Someone's belongings unsecured like that. Room and Common areas were good and clean. It was about 6 -7 pm when I arrived no line was there.

We were impressed with the warmth and hospitality with which we were greeted at the reception desk. Being visually impaired and weary from travel, I really wanted to check in early. I was so happy when the executive housekeeper offered to help and that she did! She had a room ready for me in record time.

Very good review! Enjoyed my stay. Outside was a little questionable when I first pulled up but the inside made up for that and the staff. When I arrived on Friday the front desk lady that checked me in was excellent!!!!!

Had to move rooms 3x. First time we were given a room that was already occupied and was given a key that allowed us entry. The second room had a non working tv, phone AND toilet. Finally we were moved into a room where everything was ok and was given a breakfast voucher for our troubles. We thought the breakfast voucher included everything on the menu, as we were told to order 1 entree and 1 drink, which we did, except our drinks were considered specialty drinks and we were NOT told that those were not included so we ended up paying for those, which were $12 each. If we woupd have known that in advance, we would have ordered regular sodas tea or coffee. I probably wont stay at this hotel again nor recommend it to friends or family.

Everyone we encountered was super friendly from front desk to breakfast to housekeeping. That goes a long way to making the experience wonderful! Very kind and helpful. We were in town for a family funeral and didn't know the area, and the staff was great with suggestions. Would definitely stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. EXPEDIA SHOULD REMOVE THIS HOTEL FROM THEIR LIST. This hotel is under a total reconstruction and we did not feel safe. Front desk was just nonchalant and unprofessional, but they were in a makeshift office room. The rest of the staff was very nice. The parking lot and entryway was dark with no lighting, dirty, cigarette butts, and the doors were unlocked providing NO security! Shame on this hotel!

Rennovating and no signage. Drove around building three times before flagging a worker on the loading docks to gain access. Staff was NO help. Lady at check-in was rude. One of the worst places I've encountered in 40-years of travelling professionally throughout the world. Dirty, dusty & dangerous (dim lighting, scaffolding, plywood ramps for stairs, etc. Room: bathroom door repeatedly came off tracks; excessive pubic hairs in/around bahroom; blood on comforter; room walls thin (neighbors sounded like they were in the room with us), etc. *EXPEDIA: Room contracted for $212 33.80 tax first of all was WAY high for such horrendous accomadations and customer service. Checking Expedia website on the the day of check-in the room was advertised for $167! So was penalized $45 for reserving early???? At check-in was required to leave $50 deposit??? Desk person said it would be reimbursed at check-out; however, upon check-out the desk clerk advised me it should appear on my credit card statement in 3-5 business days. I do not recall ever having to leave a deposit when paying with xredit cars on file with travel agencies (Expedia, Travelicity, etc.) Had we not been travelling for my sister's funeral in Va Beach and more time, would have definitely looked for other accomodations.

The front desk and staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were updated and comfy. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star was because of the highway. We were on the side with the highway and hearing sirens and cars wasn’t ideal so it made it pretty hard to go to sleep. Had to wait til the noise died down to rest.

New renovation to hotel was very nice. Front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Hotel location is perfect! Near freeway, shopping centers and restaurants. Will definitely consider returning to Crowne Plaza VB for future vacation stays.

The room was very clean and comfortable. My only request would be not to stay on the side of the building closest to the highway. There was a bit of noise from the highway overnight. We didn't use the bar or restaurant. The staff was pleasant.

Yes, hotel currently under reno and car noises can be heard if your room is street side (neither bothered me) BUT the all the staff is amazing. 110% customer driven and so welcoming. Ice machines were down, so they provided bags of ice. Ear plugs in the room if you needed them. I was traveling with a lot of stuff for work that I didn’t want to store in my car, they helped me come up with a solution. Felt safe and was comfortable for my stay. Lots of restaurants nearby. Desk big enough to work on with computer and papers. Plenty of outlets at the desk and bedside. Bed was very comfortable.

The food at the restaurant was not edible and we were not offered discount or for the uneaten meals to be removed from the bill when we informed the server. We paid full price for food we did not eat. I also ordered a cocktail that tasted like they mixed it in a shaker they had used for a very different cocktail, it was terrible and when they remade it it was the same. A dirty martini shouldn’t taste like mint. We ordered door dash instead. You can hear everything going on in the hallways very clearly so I assume everyone could hear us as well. We asked for towels for our room and none were sent until we asked 2 more times. Maybe they are understaffed but it’s pretty inexcusable to not offer to fix the food situation.

Coffee maker wouldn’t close. There were no cups in the room. It leaked. There’s no place to hang your towel when taking a shower so you have to step out to grab one. The food was awful. I had a chicken sandwich that was like rubber. In the good side everyone there were very pleasant and helpful

We liked the size of the rooms and fairly clean. We didn’t like that the bathroom door didn’t have a lock, and toilet barely flushed. The pool was out of order and so kids were upset about that. Didn’t have enough towels in the room and when asked for more they brought us pool towels. The breakfast was the worst !! We ordered off the menu, no chocolate muffins, no vanilla Greek yogurt, fake eggs, no fruit in $9 yogurt parfait, $5 for the kids lemonade, it was all gross and soooo expensive!!

I paid for breakfast and the cook told me they didn’t sale breakfast and I pre paid for breakfast doing check in . Then they gave me some sandwiches that had been sitting there all night and they was cold I couldn’t eat them!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and had a great visit. The hotel is close to the highway, Mount Trashmore and Town Center making very convenient for visitors. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They have a restaurant in the hotel where we both enjoyed dinner one evening. The room was clean and the bed was more comfortable than we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. There were only two things I would alert others to before booking. We didn’t pay attention that there was not a microwave in the room while booking. This wasn’t a big deal for us but might be for others. And our room faced the highway so if you’re a light sleeper you might want to ask for a room on the opposite side. Neither were deal breakers for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was a great find. The rooms were clean and spacious. The sitting area in the lobby was amazing and it was great to have a bar and restaurant available. There was a pool and a small gym as well. The staff were very helpful and there was always someone available. We will definitely stay here again.
