This oasis has such potential. Needs an update. During our short 3 dat stay one pool was broken down, another hot tub broken down and a family of ducks using the pools. The balconies are all under construction. Nice to see management fixing them, but more needs to be done to bring this beauty back up to what is should be. Loved the size of the unit and kitchen was well equipped, laundry was a great feature. Great location, nice staff.

We enjoyed our stay at Turtle Cay Resort. The grounds, landscaping, and pools are kept in excellent condition. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the carpet in our room. We spent quite a bit of time in our unit due to poor weather and the carpet turned our feet black after walking on it all day. It seemed like the front door to the unit did not seal well because we could still hear traffic outside as if the door was still open. Lastly, the washer/dryer combo in our unit had a leak. We never used the washer, but by the end of our stay, the washer was half full of water. Despite the few issues with the room, we had a pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed something (extra toilet paper, etc.). I would stay here again.

I liked the hotel and my large suite. The construction on every single balcony was not pretty to look out. The parking situation was very very tight. It was hard to get out in the morning because other guests were loading their belongings into their vehicle and were slow to move those things out of the way, while another car waited impatiently for me to move so they could grab my parking space. The hotel is close to the beach but you still have to cross one street.

The staff was very helpful & kind. The room was clean. The pools & hot tubs are amazing. The courtyard/pool area is beautiful and the reason we decided to stay here instead of another hotel. Love that they offer activities and the fitness center & indoor pool at their sister hotel across the street, even though we were only there a couple days & didnt have time to enjoy them. The rooms are a little outdated and scuffs on the walls but they are in the process of renovating. We loved it here and would definitely stay again if coming back to the area. Cant beat the location, in walking distance to everything on boardwalk & beach & close to shuttle

As the hotel is undergoing renovations, we got a discounted rate. The work on the balconies was fine and did not take away from our stay. The room was a nice size, clean and well stocked with dishes. There is no housekeeping which is fine but also no indication that we could get an exchange on towels or anything. The real issue we had was with the pool and the "concierge". At check in, you are directed to the concierge who is just a timeshare sales person. She seemed nice at first but refused to provide the coupon booklet unless we agreed to go to a timeshare presentation. We declined that but it left a bad taste. Then there was the pool issue. There are 4 resident ducks who appear to be living in the pools. The pool is cleaned every morning but as the ducks are not house-broken, they defecate in the pool all day, every day. I am sorry, but I don't think that paying for the privilege of swimming in duck feces is acceptable despite the staff saying that the chlorine makes up for it. As I pointed out to them, if I was pooping in your pool every day, you would certainly do something about it. Seeing as the pool was one of the main reasons for selecting this hotel, I was upset and disappointed. In the end, we ended up cancelling the additional 3 days we had booked there.

We enjoyed our stay. Would most likely come back. Understand the need for room key for admittance to pool etc. but had a few issues where the card reader wasn’t working. Only other thing … where were we supposed to pick up towels for the pool?

Checked into my suite and kitchen had ants all over the counter. Was transferred to another room and the kitchen was dirty, cabinets had dried food, etc. I let the morning staff know because I was too tired once we got in and I just needed to sleep.

It was a beautiful room. However, I noticed that the kitchen appliances were dirty and greasy. The utensils all had food residue on them, and the pots looked as if someone had just fried food in them and placed them away without cleaning. This was my only concern during my stay.

Carpet was filthy, couch and chair was filthy and stained. Chair was hard as a rock. The bed was hard and Uncomfortable. Bathroom floor tiles were cracked and popping as you walked on them. Some disgusting wall stains down the hallway. Not enough hot water for a family of three. The dryer takes 5 cycles to dry one load of landry. On the good side. The staff wad nice, pool was nice.

The young lady at check in and the young lady at check out were great, parking was easy and location great but, our room was not worth what we paid. Not clean, chip pieces and crumbs on the floor, several large stains on the floor, furniture did not look clean, trash and nail clippings on the floor in the bathroom. Again, a great location, friendly staff, just needed to be clean and furnishings, flooring upgraded or cleaned.

The room had dead roaches on the floor and had roaches in the cabinet. Check in was at 4 but the room was not ready we had to wait an hour and 30 minutes which was very inconvenient.

i was bummed the balconies weren’t available but they will be done by next year. issues getting into the pool with room keys but they were in the works of being fixed few lightbulbs out and ceiling fan not working all in all the one bedroom suite was a huge area and has a fire place and the bedroom was a good size too bathroom was huge as well. the ducks are living their best lives and i know people may not like it but i didn’t care they didn’t bother you.

This is a very expensive, high-end hotel which calls itself a resort. It was overall dingy, filled with ugly construction surrounding the pool, loud and not private exposed to the main road, had no real amenities except the pool, and there was a terrible smell in the room the whole time. Also, no internet TV, so no Netflix or anything but normal channels. The pictures are so pretty, so the hotel was a real let-down.

It was our first time staying here and we had a great time at the pools and hot tubs!!! The hotel is outdated but the staff were very nice and welcoming. The room we stayed was VERY spacious and had everything we need including a full kitchen. Short Walking distance to the beach and restaurants.

The rooms were clean and nice. Not allot of TV selections (No smart TV's) in my room anyway. The adjoining rooms only have one door so each room can hear each ohter really well did not like that much.

The room is conjoined with another room and you can see through the crack of the entire door when the other room has a light on and vice versa. Slamming doors and people stomping constantly. The bed is not comfortable, remote buttons broken.

The elevators were not noisy, but the sound of baggage carts shook the walls daily. It became a laughable moment. The baggage carts were like mini trains going all day long. The beds in our room were shot. They moved freely and made noise with it. They weren't level. Everything else was well supplied and prefectly enjoyable.

we really liked the property. the pools were nice. convenient to many things. but VERY disappointed with the way things were handled during checkin. the computers were down so we arrived at 3:15 asking to check in a bit early, but we weren't allowed in a room until about 4:45 and that is only be cause we hovered. finally allowed us in a room (smelt very smokey) but had to be let in by an employee!!! do you know how uncomfortable it is to have to go find an employee EVERY SINGLE TIME. oh and did i mention to get in to garage AND pool. it was such a pain!! the girls at the front desk didn't really seem concerned but the gentleman that let us in (Daniel) was super kind and continuted to say it was no bother at all. he was SUPER kind. and after such a terrible check in, we had a cleaning person start showing up at 9 ish asking to clean. really... as terrible as our check in was (no paperwork or key) he came back 3 times to suggest we go. honestly, we weren't sure when checkout was? prob should be posted in the room instead of sending the demanding cleaning person.

we really liked the property. the pools were nice. convenient to many things. but VERY disappointed with the way things were handled during checkin. the computers were down so we arrived at 3:15 asking to check in a bit early, but we weren't allowed in a room until about 4:45 and that is only be cause we hovered. finally allowed us in a room (smelt very smokey) but had to be let in by an employee!!! do you know how uncomfortable it is to have to go find an employee EVERY SINGLE TIME. oh and did i mention to get in to garage AND pool. it was such a pain!! the girls at the front desk didn't really seem concerned but the gentleman that let us in (Daniel) was super kind and continuted to say it was no bother at all. he was SUPER kind. and after such a terrible check in, we had a cleaning person start showing up at 9 ish asking to clean. really... as terrible as our check in was (no paperwork or key) he came back 3 times to suggest we go. honestly, we weren't sure when checkout was? prob should be posted in the room instead of sending the demanding cleaning person.

Arrived at 4:00 pm and our rooms were not ready. This was happening to a lot of people checking in. It took 3.5 hours to finally get in. All the balconies were locked, could not use due to some sort of inspections. Only one elevator to the third floor located at the opposite side of our room, and the stairs we could use were being painted. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful.

We drove overnight from Florida because my 8 year old niece passed away suddenly. My family lives in Va beach. I’ve started here probably 25 times. We got there at 12pm and when I went to check in the girl at desk rudely said your reservation is cancelled. I told her that it was prepaid non refundable and she said well you didn’t call us and tell us you’d be checking in late. I cried because I was desperate to get to my sister. The front desk was so rude. She said this is not our responsibility. This is yours. I was beside myself. She was nothing but rude. No apology. No offer to help. Just the rudest person I’ve ever encountered. She should not be in the hospitality industry. Disgusting.

Everything was great until the lady trying to sell me Delta membership kept harrassing me. I have never sray at a hotel that send so many texts messages call my room phone everyday, and fake like they going to give me birthday discounts just to get me to a mettering that sells Delta timeshares. Just tell me the truth. That alone make me never want to come back. The other staff were great and the room was nice. Its weird the bedroom was by the entrance into the rest of the suite but that was doable.

I've always loved turtle cay! The property is beautiful and the rooms are great. Staff is always wonderful. This time the computer was down and we couldn't get room keys until about 6pm. I understand this is no one's fault but we had an early relative with us who unfortunately wet herself while we were waiting for someone to open the room door.

Our reservation said studio which has 2 beds but ended up in a 1 bedroom with a pullout sofa. At checkin they explained we had access to the sister property but did not tell me how it worked by requsting a key card from the property which left me frustrated. Very nice room. Across from boardwalk, so it was loud with band playing. But at 10pm all done and quiet. Pools where nice and clean. Easy walk to boardwalk and beach.

I liked the hotel and my large suite. The construction on every single balcony was not pretty to look out. The parking situation was very very tight. It was hard to get out in the morning because other guests were loading their belongings into their vehicle and were slow to move those things out of the way, while another car waited impatiently for me to move so they could grab my parking space. The hotel is close to the beach but you still have to cross one street.

Perfect location. Not too far from everything. A 5 minute walk from the dolphin tours and the beach. The room itself was beautiful and the pools and hot tubs were relaxing. Definitely would stay here again.

Great pools for the kids. Super close to the boardwalk and beach. Located in a good area for families, away from the partying and college crowd. Good sized room and bathroom for a family of four. Only negative was our room bordered Pacific avenue and the sound of traffic was loud overnight.

The hotel was what was expected. The location is great even though it's not oceanfront it's literally across the street and have sister property you have access to that is oceanfront. The rooms were clean and decently set up.

We enjoyed the kids pool for my 2 yr old granddaughter but it was very noisey with the luggage carriers outside our room all hours of the night and day. So far from main attractions

There were small issues with cleanliness but nothing that would deter me from staying here again. Room was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was nice..not well stocked but stocked enough to get the job done. The balconies were undergoing renovations but they seemed super nice. The pool grounds were very nice and made you feel like you weren’t in Virginia but maybe somewhere more tropical like. Easy walking distance to some great restaurants especially a breakfast joint called Sunnyside (you get a discount if stay at Turtle Cay).

Sadly this just was not for me. The rooms were really nice but it was exceptionally loud there and there was no quiet areas at all for rest. I figured off season I wouldn't be having issues but it was very loud and even when I said something to them they never followed through letting me know one way or another what was happening. So my weekend there I didn't sleep. The room is very comfortable and the kitchen is just right for a short stay. I believe in season it would be an ideal location for many people. Especially families that are used to loud. The pool and inside part of the hotel is very nice. Service was very accommodating but didn't help me with my issues. I do hope that you enjoy your stay if you so choose that.

First the good! Beautiful pool, hot tub, courtyard area. Very nice kitchen and appliances. Now the bad- very limited parking. The weekend we were there an event was taking place at the convention center that supposedly was a competitive sporting event. Some of those competing were staying there. The problem was at the lift gate to enter the parking garage people not staying there were riding behind their friends when the gate lifted. Thus we had to go to the overflow parking area, approximately a half mile away and walk back. This was late at night. We noticed in the parking garage when we returned that approximately a quarter of the cars did not have parking permits in car. One young couple in same situation stopped to speak with us. They had two sleeping toddlers in their car and were told to park at the overflow. Needless to say they were not happy. This was first week in March. When we asked an employee how the parking was in the summer we were told you should plan on parking car early and walking to your destinations. This is totally unacceptable! Get a shuttle bus! Other hotels there have them. No one should pay over 700.00 for two nights (we had two rooms, two cars) and be expected to walk half a mile to their car or limit where you go when vacationing because your parking permitted garage is full whether legitimately or not. Very nice place but we won’t be staying there again because of this and will not recommend the place.

Very disappointed, the parking was horrible and the stuff weren't helpful at all, my husband almost got beaten up by 4guys that claimed the parking was theirs when he got it first the hotel security was there and couldn't help him...it was very scary we would never go back there ever again.
