Mother and daughter run this hotel. Both are super sweet. Upon entering the front desk area, you're welcomed by seeing a beautiful fish tank and fish pond. Parking was right by the door. A cute porch with chairs were by the room door. The bathroom and bedroom were both clean and inviting. The kitchen area gave a sense of home with a real coffee cup and a makeup remover wipe on the sink. Tina (mother) and Monica (daughter) both were friendly and talked about things to do and see while in the area. Breakfast was quick items like yogurt, granola bars, muffins, coffee and fruit. The yogurt was probably the best ive ever had.

This property was perfect for just staying the night. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Being there in the summer the pool was so refreshing! Had it to yourselves most of thr time. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was simple, yogurt, coffee, snacks and juice. I would definitely stay there again. Plenty of places to eat nearby and close to the New Hampshire border!!

Truly, the only thing we didn’t like was the smell of the room, it just smelt wayyy too much like mildew, we had to run out and buy a candle. But the front desk lady was super nice, there was a family or two enjoying the pool, it was quiet, it was convenient. Perfect stay for one night.

We had such a great stay here. For the price, it’s a definite win. It very much the Vermont vibe and we love it. There are fish and a very sweet property cat named Jerry, as well as a very clean outdoor pool. I had bought travel locks to use since it’s a motel, not a hotel, but I didn’t even end up using them because I didn’t feel a need. The woman at the front desk was so kind and lovely and there were plenty of touristy things to do within a 10 minute ride. Looking forward to going back again!

The staff at the Black Mountain Inn were great, very friendly. Nice pool, and complimentary grab and go breakfast. The guestroom was large, clean, and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay again on a future visit to Brattleboro, VT. Thank you!

Easy off/on the highway and near plenty of food options. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The property itself was dated but that’s to be expected in this part of the northeast. The room was spacious and the shower was great so overall I really enjoyed it. The pool and hot tub were working as well.

Our room was dirty and it smelled musty, there was an old hot tub that didn’t work. When I booked it , it never said anything about a hot tub in the room. We checked out 20 minutes after we got there and they didn’t even ask why we were checking out, so I think they knew why or didn’t care.

Everything was fantastic! The service was excellent, the room was spotless and wonderfully spacious! I was happy have such a welcoming staff and comfortable, safe place to stay after being on the road all day! Highly recommended!

Very worn out building. Bed was not terrrible, but room smelled like smoke despite being “smoke free”. Bathroom tub not clean. Walls are thin, luckily the neighbors got quiet at a reasonable hour. Hot water took forever to get to shower, wasted a lot of water. “Continental Breakfast” wrapped pastries and granola bars.

There's no smoking signs everywhere but it smells like everyone has been smoking. Even my room smelled like cigarettes. Be nice if they ran a vacuum through the hallways and got rid of all the spider webs in every corner. If it was cleaner and less smoke, the price would be fair. Seems like some of the "patrons" might live there... I would not stay there again.

The front desk reception people were very nice. Great king mattress. The only problem was a very dirty carpet. My bare feet turned brown on the bottom. I told the reception as I left and they said they would clean the carpet.

It was fine for a couple of nights and more affordable than Keene, NH (20 min away) where we had a baseball tournament. It’s an older inn, but very clean and the staff was very welcoming. Very close to many fast food restaurants walking distance right on the main road.

$150- I went for the price. Disappointed but maybe I’m out of touch with current prices. Windows couldn’t open. Couldn’t get enough hot water for a bath. WiFI was VERY spotty. Tried to do some work on my computer and couldn’t get a consistent signal. Front desk person was VERY pleasant. Coffee/tea area didn’t open until 7:30 am. I wouldn’t stay here again but it seemed popular.

The Owners were very nice. The Room was very clean. AC worked well. However a condenser of something on the roof ran off and on and it was pretty loud. Mattress good, not great, pillows bad, but all in all we got good slept decent even the first night. We should have brought our My Pillows. For a non-smoking room, we could smell a little smoke. We decided to just go with it, because of location of room at end of bldg. near stairs. The stairway was pretty dirty. Lots of webs everywhere. The pool was pretty clean, we used it once. Parking area and Proporty very well lit. Although there were a few locals hanging out in lot and had a room away from us, we never felt unsafe. There is a nice beach 10 miles away in NH at lake Spofford, weirs beach $8 PP, worth it, but bring a chair. breakfast grab and go, but they had lots to choose from including yogurt which my wife really likes. The Older women was very nice and gave me an ice pack as I was getting ice. They had an ice machine with the smallest cubes ever, like square pills, lol. But it worked for our little cooler we bring on the golf cart. Overall location was great, 10 min to Brattleboro CC, a must play, 10 to beach, near highway. For the price it was what we wanted. Hey we know if you want upper accommodations these days it's 225 plus tax per night and we did not want to spend that much. $338 all in two nights.

Very convenient location and very friendly staff, but this is a very old hotel with outdated facilities. Nothing would be considered luxury. Shower head would be too low for a 5’8” person. Towels and other amenities were very cheap. A big step down from a Holiday Inn.

The front reception staff was very friendly, welcoming, and kind. He had plenty of information to offer and suggestions around the town. We met one of the owners later in the evening who was incredibly helpful with suggestions around the state as well as surrounding states. He answered all our questions and even started the patio heater for us so we could sit outside. This was the perfect road-trip motel!

****FYI, there is no Uber here or taxi service! Public transportation is one bus (which is free) that stops running around 5pm and does not operate on Sundays***** Black Mountain Inn was a nice stay, room was clean, staff was friendly and readily available. There are a few convenient things within walking distance, like a grocery store, some places to eat and a bowling alley, but downtown and any actual sites are at least 2 miles away. We travelled here via the Amtrak train that stops in downtown and overall had a nice stay, but was unaware that you basically need a car to do anything. If you have said car, I recommend Black Mountain Inn.

Easy off/on the highway and near plenty of food options. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The property itself was dated but that’s to be expected in this part of the northeast. The room was spacious and the shower was great so overall I really enjoyed it. The pool and hot tub were working as well.

It was fine for a couple of nights and more affordable than Keene, NH (20 min away) where we had a baseball tournament. It’s an older inn, but very clean and the staff was very welcoming. Very close to many fast food restaurants walking distance right on the main road.

Decent spot just north of downtown Brattleboro. Simple room, clean, comfortable bed, although the sink is in the main bedroom and not the bathroom which is kinda weird. The woman at the front desk was pleasant.

We were in Vermont for leaf peeping. This hotel proved to the best location for day trips to the Green Mountains of Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The nightly rate was affordable and the owner was very personable. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Definitely recommend. Would stay here again.

Mother and daughter run this hotel. Both are super sweet. Upon entering the front desk area, you're welcomed by seeing a beautiful fish tank and fish pond. Parking was right by the door. A cute porch with chairs were by the room door. The bathroom and bedroom were both clean and inviting. The kitchen area gave a sense of home with a real coffee cup and a makeup remover wipe on the sink. Tina (mother) and Monica (daughter) both were friendly and talked about things to do and see while in the area. Breakfast was quick items like yogurt, granola bars, muffins, coffee and fruit. The yogurt was probably the best ive ever had.

This property was perfect for just staying the night. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Being there in the summer the pool was so refreshing! Had it to yourselves most of thr time. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was simple, yogurt, coffee, snacks and juice. I would definitely stay there again. Plenty of places to eat nearby and close to the New Hampshire border!!

Although "breakfast" was advertised, what was offered barely met the standard for a continental breakfast. Also, the coffee was horrible. While the room was clean, it was somewhat dated.

Stayed for one night, which was just right. Good for the price. Comfy and clean beds. The only thing that bothered me was the smell, not sure if it's cleaning detergent that they use, or just the smell of the old inn, but it was bothersome to me. Breakfast was included in price, not a big selection, but great if you like to have a small breakfast. I like that they offered variety of fruits. If we in this area again, would considered to stay

Friendly check-in. Disappointed that breakfast is grab and go. Also that it starts at 7:30. Many people leave by 7 to get to the mountain by 8am.

Check-in was fast & easy. Room was clean but nothing special. Grab & go breakfast was served starting at 7:30am... a bit late for us as we left at 7am to go skiing.

After having driven for several hours in literally torrential rain at night, we were soaked when we arrived at the Blue Mountain Inn where we had reserved the ONLY room available in a very wide area that had a room for one night on an unexpectedly busy weekend. The price at the Inn was more than reasonable. We expected the last available room would be the worst. Though there were only outside, covered stairs to go to the second floor of the Inn, we were pleasantly surprised by our bright, spacious, modern room fitted with desk, sofa bed, frig, micro wave, coffee maker, large mirrors, and comfortable king bed that was dressed with blanket, comforter, bolster pillow, and covered in a unique coverlet of birch-tree design which nicely complemented the wood, metallic & black marble furniture. We rested in the (dry) bathrobes that were provided while watching HBO which we don't have at home! The only flaw was a loose safety bar in the bathtub. The front desk staff were accommodating and congenial, offering cookies, coffee, and treats at the counter when we arrived, and a wide variety of FRESH fruits, pre-wrapped muffins, yogurt, canned juice, hot coffee and tea, all of which was ready as a "Take-to-Go" breakfast the next morning. Our night at the Inn was the very best part of our miserable day. We have already highly recommended the Inn to family members and hope to return ourselves for a longer stay. Thank you, Blue Mountain Inn!

They have the nicest, helpful staff who made good suggestions for my trip. Carpet was dark and dated in this older hotel, but the the rest was refreshed.

There was trash under the bed sticking out of the edge, the light fixtures were incredibly dusty, and the bathroom didn’t look crazy clean. We came in at 10 PM and left at 8 AM. It was fine, but I wouldn’t choose to stay there for any sort of extended trip.

Really appreciate the clean & dog friendly room. The pool was beautiful, wish we were there long enough to use it! The grab & go breakfast had pop tarts, yogurt, & basic fruit. Wish they had bagels & cream cheese or something more filling & less sugary.
