Rooms were clean, but a little worn. Beds were okay, though pretty hard mattresses. Hot tub was tiny and in a tiny room. We didn't end up using it since others were already in there and there wasn't space. Staff was friendly, breakfast was decent, price was right (on Expedia at least). I would stay again.

Spa was closed for repairs. Otherwise happy with our stay. Nice & clean room.

Check in was pretty quick and painless! Hot tub was temporarily out of order, even though the front desk said it would be open in a few hours (never happened though). I liked that the tv in the room was a smart tv and i was able to log into my streaming apps! Clean room was nice as well!

Overall good stay, as expected. For one night this was great for the price, good value. Room was relatively clean, beds were comfy, ton of space (had to fit two bikes, dog, and luggage). The breakfast was light (eggs, toast, jam, cereal, yogurt). I would stay here again if I needed another overnight stay in Bellingham. Oh and good parking and dog park!

From check-in to check-out the experience was excellent! The parking is easy, the site is easy to find, tons of local restaurants and stores near by and freeway access is great. Also, the receptionists are very friendly and knowledgeable. The room is exactly as described and is clean. Basic, but we Loved the layout, beds + USB ports. Everything within the room worked well with no concerns. Finally, the breakfast they serve is a delight and promotes healthy choices along with old fashioned comfort eats. Check out was fast and pleasant. Pet friendly hotel was clean on the grounds and completely hassle free!

Property showing some signs of wear. Hot tub was not open. The property is right next to the freeway so if you stay on the west side (like I did), the freeway noise is apparent even into the night. The room was quite clean and the bed comfortable.

The staff was always quick to respond and courteous. Great price for a convenient location and extended stay. Saved me a bundle by allowing my dog to stay with me.

The room was very clean

This property and local area has gone downhill. The carpets smelled of cat pee. Garbage all over. Shady people out front. Smokers right by the front door. Yuck.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. Hallways, walls, paint chipped, curtains hanging off the rods, paint scuffed up and chipped, no reference materials regarding WiFi, check in/ out, area businesses, spa information- so disappointed. The pictures on the website are so deceiving. I will say that the beds were clean and comfortable. The pillows were little tiny squares about half the size they should have been. No sign requesting DO NOT DISTURB or PLEASE REFRESH TOWELS.

Front desk staff were very nice upon checking in, lobby seemed clean but my bed had tons of black hair all through the sheets and on top of the blanket. I don’t think they wash the bedding in between stays

Have stayed at this property many many times. Always reliable, clean, and centrally located.

Dirty corners, bad updates, hair on the top of the bed, stay somewhere else.

Great clean place and friendly staff

Room smelled strange and was not very clean.

Sheets had stains, bathroom was caked with dirt on the tile seams, hair in tub. Check in person wasn’t friendly and didn’t even mention the breakfast hours or location. Elevators reeked of cigarettes.

Great location as it was a quick uber to downtown. Property was really clean as were the rooms, would recommend 👍

Very noisy being right next to the highway. Bathroom could use a deep clean. We stayed for 2 nights and they didn’t refresh the room or towels. Would not stay here again.

Old building, everything looks old and dated. Floor is not carpeted (it doesn't have to be) but I was afraid of taking my shoes off. Soap coin was disappointing but the shampoo lathered well. Breakfast, by the time I got to it (7:30am) the coffee was all gone. Nothing much left so I took a piece of butter and a tube of cream cheese.

The traffic noise from Interstate 5 is horrendous at all hours of the night.

We travel to Bellingham several times a year, and this was our first time staying at the Guesthouse. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. While the price was reasonable, the overall experience left much to be desired. I had specifically requested a king-size bed in a quiet location, but we were given a king-sized bed in a small room right next to the front entrance. The noise from the breakfast area and laundry room made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s rest. This was far from the peaceful stay I had hoped for. There were a few other issues during our stay that were disappointing. For starters, we were only provided with one room key, despite there being two adults. Additionally, we were not informed that housekeeping only cleans rooms every other day. This lack of communication was frustrating, as we had expected daily cleaning. The breakfast, which was one of the perks of the hotel, was only available until 9:00 AM, and the room was locked promptly after. If you missed it, you were out of luck. This early cutoff was inconvenient, especially for those who enjoy a more leisurely morning. The Wi-Fi was another problem—it was very unreliable and kept dropping connection, which could have been an issue if I needed to work during our stay. Thankfully, I didn’t. The room itself was in need of some updates. While the bed was clean and comfortable, the overall space felt outdated, and the floors were less than ideal. I’m glad I brought slippers, as the con

People were all friendly and helpful. It’s an older property and the walls are thin, rooms are smaller, and corridors are dark. The breakfast is minimal. We are visiting family in the area, so we didn’t spend much time at the hotel. It was a comfortable place to sleep at night.

Clean room. Nothing fancy. Need to update toilet as they are very low. No coffee pots in room. But a nice coffee shop next door. Trade off was breakfast was included with your stay.

We were placed on the wing facing I-5.. and it was NOISY late into the night. It’s as though we have the windows opened when they’re not. For a facility this close to the freeway they need to have placed double pane or noise blocking glass?! Even with earplugs I had a hard time sleeping. If someone in the parking lot started an old car or a motorcycle.. it is LOUD! Other than that facility is clean .. fairly close to everything we wanted to visit in the area.

The room was lovely. Clean and nice. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were wonderful. I wish there would have been a coffee pot in the room, however.

You definitely get what you pay for with this property. Reception staff are welcoming and friendly. The property needs revamping, very retro 80s/90s. The breakfast will suffice, filled the morning void. The room was clean and comfortable but very basic. No iron/board, no coffee maker or tea etc...in room. Convenient location, if you stay here, make sure to secure a room on the opposite side of the freeway or guaranteed you will not have a good night's sleep.

Very nice staff! Room was clean and the bed fairly comfortable. Downsides were the highway noise is loud (which ended up not keeping me awake so it was ok) and the sink is outside the bathroom. Bathroom is tiny. I still think it’s a great value for the price!

Bed is uncomfortable and very hard. Only got ONE tiny pillow. Staff not willing to give another pillow. Never got any housekeeping service. Arrived at 335pm and was told to sit in lobby and wait till 4pm or “their system” charges $50 fee for early room entry.

Charges $55 to check in early. Exact check-in 3pm. Convenient highway access. Nice staff. Ice bucket had "Help Us" written on it, a little creepy.

Not very accommodating regarding late checkout. Charge $50 extra for late checkout. Requested to check out on time instead and asked if they would be willing to store luggage in the morning until noon. This was refused.

Staff was friendly and check in was quick and easy.

They need to make it more clear regarding housekeeping. Apparently, you have to request it during the week, but they clean on Thursdays and do full service. I requested 2 full sets of towels in the morning and never received them all day into the evening. Otherwise, some of the staff is pleasant. Some not so much.

There was a smell with the fan/air conditioner on and it gave me a headache. The front desk person “didn’t have the authority” to move us to a better room and wouldn’t call anyone who could grant the authority. So I had a headache the entire time.

Our bed was super-comfortable. Staff was very helpful.

I walked up to the manager to check in, and he ignored me. Then the other guy couldn’t find my reservation, and it took an hour to check in. All the bathroom tubs have pink mildew/mold. Overall terrible, not going back.

Pros: - Very close to WWU, Whole Foods, Fred Meyers, and plenty of other services. - Queen bed was comfy - Quick and easy check-in and check-out - Wifi - several electrical and USB-C outlets - mini-fridge and microwave Cons: - bed pillows are small and flatten quickly. There were 4 so that helped me enjoy my overnight stay better. - bath towels are quite small. I'm 5'2" and was surprised by the short length.

Close to downtown Bellingham and Bellis Fair Mall.

Not a nice area

With our hotels.com discount, the motel offered good value for the cost / area, and while it's a little rough around the edges, I'd stay again. The location is very convenient: just off the freeway and close to downtown, a grocery store, etc.

Excellent value and location. About a mile away from the downtown area. Many modes of transportation to go around. Overall a great stay we will be back

Perfectly serviceable accommodation. A mile walk from downtown. We felt safe in our surroundings, comfortable in our room and despite being close to the highway didn’t hear the noise.

Near WWU, decent freeway hotel. Lots of homeless in area, and dumpster had been gone through with debris all around it. Rooms are newer and have potential, but need a deep clean. They were cleaning the hall carpets, so thats a start. The "Woods" coffee shop accross lot is nice with good food.

Great walkable location to downtown. Very close to a coffee shop for our early departure. Room was nothing special,dated,old but workable shower, very tight bathroom layout… but was exactly what we needed for the night and in our price point. Would stay again.

Breakfast was not goof

The breakfast was absolutely awful they had very little selection no protein what so ever and the breakfast staff didnt even show up. It was WAY worse than when i had come years ago here many times.there was no waffle batter only toast or dry oatmeal.no peanut butter i definitely would NOT come again because of the horrible breakfast.

Quick check in. Clean room. A little dated, and chain in toilet kept coming off but no big deal. Waffles, cereal, toast, yogurt, apples, apple and orange juice and coffee for drinks with the breakfast. Decent enough and great price!

Always happy with this property. You can hear traffic but its not too bad. Breakfast is pretty basic but still an overall good value for cost. I like the people who work at the front desk, all 3 I dealt with were great.

Check in was easy. We booked 2 rooms but one room smelled like pot so they quickly swapped with another room. Problem solved! The hotel is older but renovated so it's satisfactory for the most part (bathroom could be updated). Breakfast is included but honestly the offerings were abysmal! We've stayed at many 2-4 star lodgings with free breakfast and this was a new low for us! In fact, the last two times we've stayed here, the receptionist didn't even notify us of this perk (lol) leading me to wonder if even they are embarrassed about it. We took advantage of the free offering this time and laughed our way around the room looking at the toast, froot loops, one hardboiled egg, and the standard waffle iron.

Breakfast shot down at 9:00 on a Sunday which seemed early. No coffee available at 9:05 which was frustrating.

It was nicer than expected. Comfy bed. The breakfast is nice with waffles, toast, muffins, but no peanut butter or eggs. We'd stay again.
