First of all Hotels.com does not have a live agent you can speak to anyone to address complaints AND their live agent chat doesn’t work. As far as the hotel goes, our room had been smoked in and the front desk said there were no rooms available to switch us and no discounts or others incentive was provided. Also, pool was under maintenance

It was a fine, safe place to stay but the pool/hot tub were closed unexpectedly and we could hear traffic from the highway all night.

Room was spotless and comfort! All staff very friendly and helpful! Continental breakfast kept nicely and good. Pool hours longer than usual hotels. Definitely recommend and will be staying again!

Disappointed their pool/hot tub were closed due to maintenance. One of the main things the kids were looking forward to and were not able enjoy. Wish they would have stated on the website that pool is closed . We woukd have went to a different hotel

Got there to be told since I’m local I would need $200 cash deposit.. staff was pretty rude when I said I wasn’t aware of this. this should have been told to me before I got there at 8pm and not only that pool and hot tub were shut down and there was what looked like blood on our hotel phone. Pretty poor experience and probably won’t be returning. :(

I switched to this hotel after being disappointed with the GuestHouse. I would definitely recommend this over the GuestHouse. The only downside is there is no elevator (it is two stories tall).

Our sheets were crusty dirty. I don't think they had been changed. The pool was closed and we were not notified before hand and that was half the reason we stayed there. The people were nice and breakfast was convenient

Check-In was great, Zach was friendly, efficient, and helpful. I inquired about the quality of the restaurant next to the hotel, he gave an accurate review and had 15% coupons at the ready which we used for dinner! Room and furnishings - excellent for the price. A good selection of cable channels and movies, very good quality television, remote, and on screen programming guide. There were more than enough AC outlets and built in USB charging jacks! Only negative was the water pressure in the shower was a little low but adequate. Breakfast - food was very, good variety of traditional and lighter fare - the pumpkin spice waffles were great. BUT … the coffee was unacceptable. Tasted like burnt instant coffee, by far the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted. It came out of a machine which almost certainly needs maintenance or outright replacement. Aside from the coffee, the only other downside was the lack of an elevator for hauling luggage upstairs. For the price though this place was unbeatable, especially compared to the Best Western that we’re staying at tonight at twice the price and half of the in room amenities.

Lower level all shut down due to a flood. Found food from previous trip in the refrigerator with mold on it. Found litter in my room. One of the windows in breakfast area is filled with mold.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The blackout out drapes were broken and dirty so the streetlight outside our window streamed into our window. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and only had square pillows instead of full size bed pillows. The walls had dirty streaks. The sofa bed linen was clean but stained. For the price, I’m sure there are better properties to stay at in the area.

The room had a dead spider on the wall, someone killed, the cleaning crew should of wiped it off! Very obvious! I also heard the cleaning crew talking about a spider in a room that they both agreed they would not touch! No elevator, my hips hurt walking from lobby to the other end of the building!

The room was in bad shape. There was areas w severe water damage on the wall beneath the window. The curtains were dirty & appeared to have spots of blood on them. The shower rod was coming out of the wall so the curtain wouldn’t stay shut. It was pretty disgusting. Of course the bed was uncomfortable and the sheets appeared to have stains on them.

Property was clean, staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable. Our bathtub did drip constantly but it wasn’t a big deal. Also the hook on the back of the door to hang towels was missing. Other than that, rooms were clean and comfortable.

The location is OK, it's convenient to a supermarket and a couple of restaurants, but the freeway is noisy, and the parking lots get hot and not much to look at. The staff is friendly and helpful. Basic maintenance seems to be kept up. The hotel including rooms had a strong stale odor, which we got used to but each time we came in from outside it hit us for a few minutes and we had to open up our window. Breakfast was OK but nothing special, pre-mixed scrambled eggs, salty sausage, cereal, factory bagels and muffins, waffles with maple-flavored corn syrup.

It was a decent stay considering I was only there for a couple of hours. My only complaint was it didn’t have an elevator and we heard every car pass by on the highway. Unfortunately that’s not something that can be changed but other than that the stay was alright.

Great value. Water pressure was excellent. Rooms were spacious. Jacuzzi worked well. The only slight negative was that the mattress was a bit soft.

The room I was in was super noisy. The housekeeping laundry was next to it and they started running the washing machine early morning around 5 AM. You could hear the traffic all night long. That is on the freeway. I first got in the TV wasn’t working and so I had to have the front desk come down and fix it. The front desk customer service was above and beyond. It was just the noisiness and sleeplessness of the stay that made it sub par.

The room we stayed in (215) is in serious need of a drain snake. Taking a shower also means taking a bath. At home this is gross, but far worse in a hotel. Other than that, no complaints.

I booked the room for my elderly aunt. She was treated like royalty by this amazing staff! We ended up in separate hotels and I was nervous about her being alone, but she could only rave and praise the hotel and the staff. We've stayed there in the past and they recently renovated their rooms. It was gorgeous!

Staff was so nice, helpful and seemed to enjoy their job. It’s a dated hotel but very clean. It doesn’t have an elevator. If you need one, make sure you let them know you need the 1st floor. I stayed here for the close proximity to the Tesla superchargers. There’s lots of options for dining/shopping nearby. Would stay there again!
Staff was so nice, helpful and seemed to enjoy their job. It’s a dated hotel but very clean. It doesn’t have an elevator. If you need one, make sure you let them know you need the 1st floor. I stayed here for the close proximity to the Tesla superchargers. There’s lots of options for dining/shopping nearby. Would stay there again!

Zach, once again, took care of everything and then some. He already had my file pulled up and paper work to sign. I’ve been traveling to this location for a few months and he’s always on point. I appreciate his professionalism and dedication to ensuring a high class guest experience.

Room was spotless and comfort! All staff very friendly and helpful! Continental breakfast kept nicely and good. Pool hours longer than usual hotels. Definitely recommend and will be staying again!

Got there to be told since I’m local I would need $200 cash deposit.. staff was pretty rude when I said I wasn’t aware of this. this should have been told to me before I got there at 8pm and not only that pool and hot tub were shut down and there was what looked like blood on our hotel phone. Pretty poor experience and probably won’t be returning. :(

I was impressed with how quick I was helped with any issue that I had the person at the front desk in the evenings was really great and was able to take a problem and make it seem like an easy fix. The chain on my toilet broke and he had that fixed in no time.

Check-In was great, Zach was friendly, efficient, and helpful. I inquired about the quality of the restaurant next to the hotel, he gave an accurate review and had 15% coupons at the ready which we used for dinner! Room and furnishings - excellent for the price. A good selection of cable channels and movies, very good quality television, remote, and on screen programming guide. There were more than enough AC outlets and built in USB charging jacks! Only negative was the water pressure in the shower was a little low but adequate. Breakfast - food was very, good variety of traditional and lighter fare - the pumpkin spice waffles were great. BUT … the coffee was unacceptable. Tasted like burnt instant coffee, by far the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted. It came out of a machine which almost certainly needs maintenance or outright replacement. Aside from the coffee, the only other downside was the lack of an elevator for hauling luggage upstairs. For the price though this place was unbeatable, especially compared to the Best Western that we’re staying at tonight at twice the price and half of the in room amenities.

I’ve had to travel a bunch for work this summer. Each time I stay, Zach provides top shelf customer service. He’s consistent in his customer facing approach and goes out of his way to engage with each guest. Truly one of the best I’ve run across in my travels.

We pulled up and the hotel is right directly next to the freeway and a bridge with homeless. That was ok but we check in and see hot tub is broken and out of service. Our room was disappointing to say the least. See pictures. We asked for a different room and none available. Asked for refund and offered half, had to pretty much beg for a full refund. Will not be back and I do not recommend this hotel for many reasons.

It was a great stay, staff was nice, breakfast was great. We loved that the pool was open early and stayed open late. Perfect for kids, the movie theatre and a Asian Buffett is in walking distances.

The lobby and breakfast areas were clean, so was the room for the most part. Stains on the curtains and water stains on the main floor ceiling tiles. Breakfast was okay. The muffins were pretty bland. Seemed to be over-priced for what you got, but everything is now. All in all it was okay.

The location is OK, it's convenient to a supermarket and a couple of restaurants, but the freeway is noisy, and the parking lots get hot and not much to look at. The staff is friendly and helpful. Basic maintenance seems to be kept up. The hotel including rooms had a strong stale odor, which we got used to but each time we came in from outside it hit us for a few minutes and we had to open up our window. Breakfast was OK but nothing special, pre-mixed scrambled eggs, salty sausage, cereal, factory bagels and muffins, waffles with maple-flavored corn syrup.

Hotel is in a mall parking lot which also has a Safeway in the same parking lot which seemed incredibly weird and tacky to me. The hotels white brick walls were so dirty and the driveway canopy’s paint looked faded. The roof also looked worn and probably needed to be replaced. I didn’t even bother to go into the hotel from fear of what my room might look and smell like and possibly any bugs I might get bitten by. My first time ever doing such a thing. I don’t like wasting money but I was with my child and wasn’t wanting to risk it.

The toilet was gross. The lady at the front desk was kind a rude and was out smoking every chance she had. No elevator to get our bags up the 2 flights of stairs. We won't be staying here again. The only good point was the breakfast. It was hot and tasty.

The hotel is relatively new, clean, and the staff is very friendly,.The rooms were fairly large and there are lots of outlets and phone charging plugs. The pool is pretty small but it’s accessible and there’s a decent workout room as well overall it’s a good place to stay in The Dalles.

This hotel was just okay. The room was clean enough. The sheets, however, did not fit the bed so had to keep putting it back in place. This is the first time I've encountered this during any of my hotel stays. The walls must be thin as we did hear high levels of noise from down the hallway and other rooms. The top of the headboard had a bright light. When we tried to switch it off, no switch was to be found. The only way to turn it off was to unplug. Kind of odd. The parking lot also had a big container located toward the end which made it a little difficult to park in that area. Overall, not terrible but definitely not $200/night worthy.
