The room and bed were fine, but the toilet must be from the 40's. The bowl is so small it is ridiculous unless 4 feet tall and 75 pounds. If you do number 1 you need to move back and to do number 2 you need to move forward, but not both at the same time. I guarantee the owner doesn't have one like this in his house but thinks it's okay for us. The hot tub was not hot. We had to get out because we were starting to get cold. Our TV control did not work. I used the control buttons on the back of the TV. I will not be back!

All of the items that were offered in the description fell far from the mark upon arrival. The rooms were dated and in need of repair/updating. The pool shower didn ot have hot water, and then the spa did not turn on as the switch needs to be replaced. Also, the entry to the spa was not stable. For the amount of money I paid, I should have had better accommodations. I will not be back, and I will tell all of my friends the same.

Everything was acceptable except that the pool was ice cold and not very clean. The hot tub was not warm. Nice to have breakfast. But in the future will stay somewhere with nicer pool.

Nice place. Bed was medium firmness would have preferred plush. Breakfast had great hours and lots of options but the options stayed the same daily. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Room was a little muggy so had to keep the ac running. Very quiet. Front desk was very helpful. Water refill for water bottles was great! Free mini golf was quaint. Great area to walk dogs and not far from the beach. Wish there was ev charging.

Nice staff, very friendly. Prompt service. Great breakfast. Only issue was the pool. First 2 nights out of 4 were good. Last two, we couldn’t swim because it was so cold. It seemed like it progressively got colder as the week went on.

It appears that this hotel is currently under new management. While the reception area is well-maintained and presents a positive first impression, the quality does not extend consistently to the rooms. We were pleased by the friendly staff when we checked in. Our grandchildren loved the pool and hot tub. The daily breakfast was hot and filling. We were glad to have that lovely breakfast before hitting the pool. The property is not new, but appeared to be maintained. Our room was pleasant, the jacuzzi was another plus for us and the grandkids. We would stay here again.

Recent change of ownership but all was fine. We used the pool and hot tub and they were fine. I did the mini golf and it was ok by me. It’s close to everything. Takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to the beach. Reasonable prices.

We stayed here for one night, and had two rooms. First room had hair in the bed. There was a dirty used diaper under the other bed, the whole room had a musky smell, and TV didn’t work. In the second room the floor was soaking wet when we got in, the bathroom was definitely just wiped down but it was not actually cleaned, and the TV worked but the remote barely did. We complained to the front desk, told them we wanted a discount on the rooms and they told us a manager would contact us later in the day never got a phone call or email back. And we had to get a multiple key cards because they did not work in the room. Horrible experience overall.

The food options for breakfast were limited. The coffee was weak and flavorless. The room I stayed in had mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. One of the lamps in the room had a faulty electrical socket, and many of the outlet covers in the room were loose and almost falling off. The room smelled musty. The AC didn’t get very cool. The whole place is in need of an update.

I hate to write a review like this but I’m pretty sure there are bed bugs in room 138. I tried to follow up with the hotel after getting bumps all over and they were dismissive and didn’t take my concerns seriously. This is dangerous if customers are exposed to bed bugs and need to take ongoing precautions. Honesty and accountability are the only appropriate way to handle this. I had to ask multiple times for them to inspect the room. They say they didn’t find anything but I don’t know what these bumps could be besides bed bug bites. They’re in groups of three and in lines all over my body. The bed was the only place these areas of my body were exposed during my trip and I have never had a reaction like this before except another time I was traveling internationally and was exposed to bed bugs. Proceed with caution! Based on other reviews it seems like customer service, care for the customers, and accountability is lacking.

The entry into the hotel was promising but the rooms are dirty & outdated. Couch was covered in gross stains and the maintenance guy tried to gaslight me that it was not broken, even though the cushions were in a V due to the bent frame. The room was not well cleaned- good under the bed, filthy walls, bathroom wasn’t well cleaned, walls had splatters on them, and much of the room is in desperate need of repair- walls, furniture, fixtures etc. Breakfast food was cold and improperly covered with broken lids, if at all. We ended up throwing it away and having to go buy breakfast. The pool is run down. Paint peeling, also unkept. Fixtures were dusty and dirty as were air filters. The hot tub didn’t work. Screens were all bent and broken. There were two ladies that were sweet but everyone else was rude and dismissive. The property has potential if it were taken care of, and it seems like a family run business, so I wish I could be more supportive, but honestly after this 2 days stay, I would never go back again.

Breakfast was decent—they had very good biscuits and gravy—but that was the only real option, and many of the drinks were empty. It seemed like just one person was running breakfast, and they couldn’t keep up. That said, if you’re on a tight budget, this place could be a good fit

The beds were old and hard. the rooms smelled bad. Not cleaned. We felt like we couldn't trust the showers after finding black mold in it. Completely outdated, needs a proper remodeling Over priced for location and conditions of hotel. The staff, probably also the owners, where super friendly, i feel bad about writing the true conditions of this hotel because they were super nice and attended to the mold situation quickly. But the room felt like it was not cleaned throughly. Ocean shores feels like its stuck in the early 90s. Not a place to visit.

The bed was comfortable, the view was as expected, the room was clean other than the white towels being yellowed, but the condition of the room looked as though they needed to fire whoever was remodeling. The bathtub was painted on the inside and peeling as well as the grab bars inside the shower. The door to the room had to be slammed in order to close and the balcony door could not be locked as it would not close all the way. The outlet at the vanity was not usable. When plugging something in it would just fall out so the coffee pot could not be used. For the price per night I expected better but at least the bed was comfortable.

The room seemed clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. Our room had a door into an adjacent room and our door didn’t lock. Our bathroom door looks like it had been chewed on rather extensively. Our dead bolt didn’t lock. Sliding patio door took maneuvering to lock. Towels were very thin. Shower had minimal pressure.

First off, the staff was very helpful and friendly, but the place itself needs a lot of TLC. My room was right next to the back door, which kept slamming loudly throughout the night as people came and went. The bathroom toilet was leaking, and when you sat on it, it wobbled so much it felt like it might break. The bed was far too soft, which made it uncomfortable for me—though if you like really soft beds, this might be the place for you. I also noticed mildew on the curtains, which gave the room a musty smell. Breakfast was decent—they had very good biscuits and gravy—but that was the only real option, and many of the drinks were empty. It seemed like just one person was running breakfast, and they couldn’t keep up. That said, if you’re on a tight budget, this place could be a good fit

Good ocean view from 3rd floor. Decent room. Needed a few upgrades (sink,sliding door). Windows were dirty so what else was missed?Breakfast was weak. Sausage, hashbrowns biscuits, and gravy and waffles. Bed was comfortable.

The good: girls at front desk were very nice, ocean view was good. The bad: whole place badly in need of repairs and updates, outside security entrance door on side did not close tight or lock, pool was dirty, jets on jacuzzi not working and staff did not seem to care, lol deck and told chips and dirty, no wifi all weekend (called front desk THREE TIMES to report bad wifi, no help was offered and once they hung up on me!).. found out at checkout that there is separate wifi for the third floor where we were and they never told us about it or offered it when we called front desk. We arrived and got our keys to our room. They gave us a room right at the beginning of the hallway, right next to an entry door. At first it was convenient for bringing our stuff inside, but as we got closer to the night, it became very noisy. You could hear everyone entering and leaving. All the cars pulling up, and conversations from the hallway and lobby. It woke my 3 year old up on several occasions. When we first walked into the room, it was tiny and cramped, and dark. Once we turned lights on and opened blinds, all I could see what dirty spots all over the walls, the floors not properly cleaned, and it just felt overall dirty. We tried to settle in, turned the tv on, and none of the WiFi for the tv worked. I brought this concern up to the front desk multiple times, and they kept telling me “we’ll check it”. After multiple times of asking, they finally came to my room to figure out the issue. They never fixed the issue, only got the tv to goto cable and we just dealt with the issue. The pool was nice and warm, but the second day of our trip the hot tub stopped working. They also have several rusty areas and trip hazards. Overall, I definitely would not stay here ever again.

We were charged for our stay through you when I reserved the room and then charged $100. for a deposit and charged AGAIN for our stay when we checked in leaving our card frozen and us unable to continue our anniversary trip. We are not only upset that our plans were cut short due to NO fault of ours but the money we NEVER should have been charged is in question of being returned not to mention the refund for the night we paid for and didn't get to stay. The disappointing breakfast didn't help matters.

Staff were friendly, but we left the sign out saying we wanted service, and nobody came. Called the desk requesting toilet paper, as we were out the morning after arriving. Had to leave a message, still didn't hear from anyone. Called again and spoke to someone saying we needed t.p., still nobody came.My husband finally walked down to the front desk to get the toilet paper. 4 staff were just sitting there. He told them we'd called twice, and they were unconcerned. Our room was not like the website pictured. We had dogs, and I get that it wouldn't be as nice, but their refurbishing has a ways to go. It was our anniversary and I was really disappointed.

The front desk deactivated my room keys on the secand day of the stay, then around 10pm while falling asleep a couple used a hotel key to access my room. I then got dressed to go confront the issue as to why someone would have access to my room and the couple who mistakenly walked into my room profusely apologized while the front desk had no reason as to why they would deactivate my key and give access to another guest. It was extremely violating and we will no longer book stays at this hotel while in town on business.

Check in took over an hour. I had booked 7 rooms and they couldn't find one. Many issues with cleanliness in miscellaneous rooms, poor condition of lights and sockets, no decaf available and one of our guests can't have caffeine for health reasons. Breakfast - Hard boiled eggs were so overcooked they looked like they had gone bad, lemonade and a watered down grape juice were the options for kids. We gathered at Ocean Shores to spread my husband's ashes and some of these issues added to my stress. Will not recommend to others.

Recent change of ownership but all was fine. We used the pool and hot tub and they were fine. I did the mini golf and it was ok by me. It’s close to everything. Takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to the beach. Reasonable prices.

This was a fair place to stay and beautiful trail to beach, I would offer caution to those heading to the beach though as surprised to come across apparent unhomed people sleeping along trail in the morning covering themselves up with old tarps and bags. Other than this surprise, quiet hotel obviously aged. The breakfast was limited but present despite few guests.

Awesome place, not very far from the shops and restaurants and the beach. They include breakfast every morning which was pretty good and it was helpful with a kiddo. The pool and the Jacuzzi were both nice, the bubbles didn't work but the water was nice and hot so it still felt great. The whole place was quiet, the employees were extremely nice and polite and helped us with no problems multiple times. We had such a blast and we will definitely be coming back to this hotel when we come back to Ocean shores!

We were pleased by the friendly staff when we checked in. Our grandchildren loved the pool and hot tub. The daily breakfast was hot and filling. We were glad to have that lovely breakfast before hitting the pool. The property is not new, but appeared to be maintained. Our room was pleasant, the jacuzzi was another plus for us and the grandkids. We would stay here again.

Our check-in was quick and easy, and our room was clean. It had a small fridge and a microwave, which was a nice surprise, as it was not mentioned as an amenity. The window curtain blocked out all light, and it was quiet at night. The breakfast was good and had a nice assortment of hot and cold food. Plenty of hot water for showers. There’s a trail to the beach, and a couple of restaurants within walking distance. My only complaint would be that the bed was very hard and therefore not comfortable! It could really use a mattress topper, that would make a big difference!! We would stay here again.

It was a bit skechy place you cant beat 134 for two nights with breakfast any where else in ocean shores one thing that really bothered me was the continental breakfast is a joke. I booked that hotle before and went back 2 or three times like I said price and the breakfast one of best breakfast however they fail to tell you in winter hours breakfast is toast cereal waffle yogurt ans a tiny red apple they dont put out hot coffee or tea or cocoa for guest that stay there.the rooms are stanard a lil gettho could use some updated bedding.

The property is under new ownership. The outside door next to our room doesn't lock so no keycard needed. There was a sign taped to the bathroom wall that said you would be charged for any damage or theft of towels. I found this very tacky. The towels were so thin you needed 2 to dry off and they only gave us 2. The breakfast was watered down juice, a bowl with 2 apples and you could make your own waffle. There was a crock pot with scrambled eggs. The bowl with instant oatmeal looked safe however it was so old that the oatmeal was bad and sticking to the package. The hot and cold water at the sink and in the shower were connected wrong so hot was on the right and cold was on the left. the person I spoke with had lots of excuses so I really don't think things will change. We had stayed here under the ld management and it was very nice. Not anymore.

We picked this hotel for the location. The shower was horrible. No water pressure unless it was on full hot or full cold. The whole room had a moldy smell. Paint was pealing off of the walls. It’s a be pet friendly hotel but no where to throw away the poop bags. We left a day early.
