Travelodge by Wyndham Seattle North of Downtown

Nice enough hotel but the location was terrible. There was no ice, no breakfast, no pop machine, no close diners and if there was it would be sketchy for sure.

We stayed for 2 nights. Room was OK with basic facilities. Microwave, TV, coffee marker and mini fridge all worked well, except WiFi signal very weak and unstable. Homeless man slept just outside the hotel entrance. Prostitutes walking along near hotel half naked in the evening.

Absolutely stay away from this hotel. Nasty staff, everything is broken (ice machine, vending machine...) and is next door to some kind of homeless shelter. Not safe at all. We had a altercation with one of the drug addicts as soon as we parked. This place should not be on Hotels.com at all, they have a no refund policy and you will want to leave as soon as you get here. We left and booked a different spot, but were still on the hook for this place. Just a waste of time and money.

The women in the office were amazing, very helpful and answered all my questions. I feel they need \better security, maybe a few morelights. the noise they cannot control as it is a busy street. I would also say too bad no ice. The cat was cute.

1) The office door was locked when I arrived at 2:40pm to check in. 2) The Front Desk lady was extremely rude, but the person she appeared to be training was nice. 3) The room they gave me was disgusting! The Front Desk lady did not even apologize for putting me in a dirty room with puke and a dead bug in it. She just downplayed the situation by saying that they just didn’t get around to cleaning it yet like it wasn’t a big deal. 4) The second room they gave me wasn’t much better, but at least there were no bugs or puke. The TV wasn’t working correctly, and the remote was sticky. 5) I asked the lady when she opened for check-out and was told 6am. I arrived at Front Desk to check out at 6:10am, and she had the door locked again. I called the office number, and she told me to go back to my room, leave my key on the table, and open the curtains…wow…it would’ve been nice to know that ahead of time. I was almost late to my event! Every time I interacted with this lady, her tone was very condescending and she was straight up rude! I am never returning!

This was an emergency as all the hotels in Bellevue lost power for 5 days. It was clean comfortable. Nice beds, new carpet, fridge with freezer, coffee maker and microwave. Lots of street noise and area is not great with prostitutes walking the streets about 4 blocks a way. Lobby smells of cigarettes and often there is no one in the office an just a phone number. Price was super reasonable for Seattle $100/night for two queen beds and full bath on second floor. No smoking in the rooms and no lingering smell either. While they advertise that they will make up the room each day. they don't but I can make my bed.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, Hallways and stairs need maintenance.

The in room coffee machine did not work. I used the microwave to heat the water. The desk staff was super helpful and gave us pointers about travelling down town. There was a metro line stand right outside of the motel.

Lady at check in was a bit rude at first but she warmed up and was quiet nice. Room was comfortable, had a fridge, coffee pot and microwave, was close to the freeway and not far from downtown.

The person at the front desk and on call- Dorethea- was very nice and helpful. I liked that they didn’t wash towels every day unless requested to save on water. Bathroom was not clean at all with hair in the shower and dirty floors. The smoke alarm went off due to shower steam because there’s no way to ventilate the room other than opening a window. The low battery caused the smoke alarm to go off at random times and chirp. The only solution given was to take the battery out of the smoke alarm, and even though the alarm was also physically wired into the building, I didn’t think this was a good enough solution for my three day stay, especially since a worker told me this has happened more than once. Obviously location isn’t great since it’s along Aurora, so just don’t leave anything in your car, but rooms had locks and secure windows.

wifi did not work at the lady at reception did not seem to care to try and problem solve when I called. room had a nasty ant problem, wasn’t necessarily clean to start with. reception lady called at 10:45 and stated that check out is in a half hour, which I thought was weird because I was under the impression check out was at 11, but then she rudely showed up at my door at 11:05 to tell me to scram and did not seem to care that the miscommunication was fully on her end. but hey, I guess I got what I paid for at the cheapest motel in the city.

Room was clean, no smell:)

First room had hundreds of tiny ants. We asked for another room and immediately got it. They were aware of the ant issue and keep treating it, but they move to other rooms. Second room sink was blocked and would only slowly drain. Only 2 towels provided for 3 nights stay. No room cleaning for 3 days due to “Eco” policy. Carpet felt gross on the feet.

This hotel has not been updated in decades. The non-smoking room was full of cigarette burns and reeked like an ashtray. I thouroughly regretted looking under the bed. Found years of dust bunnies, random trash, and some tweezers. There was an old Ibuprofen by the dresser. There was a long black hair quite obviously on the wall of the shower, and a visibly dirty bar of soap from the last traveller. The broken jacuzzi tub had a ton of poorly applied caulking on it, as did every corner of the room. The blinds near the sink were broken and not very useful for blocking light. We shared this filthy space with plenty of ants who were familiar with every nook and cranny of the space, and eventually any bags we didn't store in our car. My wife and I travel often and this is one of the worst rooms we've ever stayed in. It would be unacceptable at half the price. To make matters worse any of the services offered like ice or laundry are locked down unless the miserably rude woman is in the office. The office was usually locked with a sign in the door saying to come back later. After committing to this hovel, I checked Google reviews. I suggest you do as well. Apparently the rude lady likes to kick people that complain out. We didn't say anything during the stay because of that fact. I was juggling 8 different lodging locations on our recent trip and missed checking opinions on this one. The harsh lesson of staying in this pit won't let that oversight happen again. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The room was not clean upon check-in. • Ring stains everywhere • Hair on the toilet • Toothpaste or handsoap left in the sink • Mascara smudges on the shower curtain • Major ant problem in the bathroom We've all stayed at Travellodges before. We know they do the bare minimum to clean, but it's obvious the folks up top don't care about their staff to train them to clean properly, nor do they respect the people sleeping there. This room was something else though. It was completely unacceptable to charge $300/night. I would avoid this at all costs. It's not worth it.

Food was left in the fridge from the previous occupant.

The Wi-Fi went in and out constantly. That was annoying in itself but when I woke up to my nightstands covered in baby ants, and felt them crawling on me, I got out of there as fast as I could. That was awful!

Perfect for a traveler. Clean room! 10/10

That had a very poor wifi it was frustrating as it kicked in and out. I won't stay in a Travellodge again

We’d enjoyed staying at the property, specially because of the Mrs. Dorothea, the person in the office. She is absolutely amazing. My wife and I really loved her, she is nice, friendly. The only thing we didn’t like was the Wi-Fi coverage, we stayed at room 226, the internet is very week there, some times it doesn’t work.

Except for the prostitute who woke me up having a party at 0200 in the morning until 0400 in the morning, whose headboard was slamming on the wall next to where I was sleeping, and the constant push of the snooze button that was so loud I thought it was a car alarm going off in the parking lot, the place was clean and the staff super helpful and friendly.

Room 115 was clean, but it had about a dozen small ants on the sink, tables, and nightstands. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, and it had a bed bug cover to prevent mattress infestations. There was a widescreen Samsung TV with dozens of channels to choose from. This hotel requires advance reservations since it's in a sketchy area, but I felt safe while staying here.

The hotel was clean and quiet and the woman checking in and out was nice and responsive. My low rating was for how dated the place is. Just updating plugs, switches and switch plates would make the room feel a decade or two closer to the modern era. The chairs at the table were uncomfortable.

Very noisy from the street and outside in general. WiFi is useless. Not coming back again for sure.

I usually stay at Marriott or Hilton’s but I was really really surprised about great this property is. Thank you so much to the older woman at the front desk, who helped me through a difficult time.

So, upon arrival I try to check in. I was hardly greeted by a very cranky woman who definitely seems like she's got better things to do. While trying to check in, I'm found with the fact that apparently this place only accepts major credit cards(Actual Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc). Without raising too much of a fuss, I try and ask why this is the case, in which my rude response was "That's the way the owners do things here." Now, I can accept the fact that for some reason, a place only accepts major cards or whatever, however the sheer intensity of this older woman's tone was just plain unnecessary. They say that the welcome of the guest essentially sets the mood/experience for their stay. I can only imagine what kind of experience I would've had had I actually possessed an "Actual credit card". Thankfully I was able to locate another place, otherwise I wouldve been on the streets for my stay.

Apparently they tried to charge my card I reserved the room with, before I even arrived… which im not sure why they would do that in the first place. I’ve never had a hotel charge my card before check in. Every hotel in Seattle (and the surrounding areas) were completely booked. So I had to sleep in my car with 2 kids and a dog. To top it all off there’s a bus stop right out in front of the hotel with tweakers hanging out. There were also 4 tents set up across the street with people camping. So it wasn’t even a safe area to sit in my car to try to figure things out. It’s no wonder this is a 2 star hotel.

The front desk lady is the worst. So rude and mean. Called to get help at the front desk since no one is there at front. Came without shoes and was talking very rude since the phone call.

The manager was a delight, she was calm and relaxed and made sure everything was okay.

It didn't look like much upon arrival, but the room was clean and quiet. Dorothea was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We told her not to worry about cleaning our room since we were only booked for two nights. The following morning, she stopped by to offer fresh towels and ask if we needed anything additional. It was a nice, personal touch. I'll definitely stay here again. The price point is perfect, and it's a short drive to downtown Seattle.

The lady at the reception was very helpful. Having a bus stop right in front of the hotel made it easier to go to the center. The size of the room and the bathroom were sufficient.

The location was terrible. There were homeless people set up on the sidewalk and prostitutes walking literally half naked all over. I did not feel safe and we locked ourselves in the room for the night and couldn't wait to get out of there in the morning.

Older hotel that is kept in good condition and has wonderful employees. Only downside was the neighborhood, but that is outside their control. They do a great job keeping the place safe though. There is a bus stop just outside the property so easy to use public transportation

Easy access off highway. Located very close to bus transportation for ease to get to baseball game.

You get what you pay for. We were happy to find a cheap Wyndham hotel. We now know why it was cheap. Horrible location (houseless transients and prostitutes welcomed us to the neighborhood)

Bus line's are great. Alot of homeless in the area. Felt safe on property. Good Manager.

Right on main road, Neighborhood a bit sketchy but had no issues

Although this motel is outside the city core , it was easily accessible by public transit. Very limited restaurant choices. Bed was comfortable, the desk clerk, Dorothea, was very friendly and over all, I would recommemend this motel for a short stay. There is an upstair level of rooms with a staircase access.

It's a Travelodge. It's reasonably clean and comfortable. If you want a pool, this is not the place. Bus shelter right in front. Jack in the Box, two gas stations, dispensary within a block.

Comfortable bed. Great coffee. Great value. Trip into Seattle costs between $25 & 40 USD by taxi or uber.

Room was tired. There was nor bathmat in a very slippery tub. Our beds were not made for our second night. There was no breakfast although that was one "must" for our reservation.

The reason why chose Travelodge was the included breakfast that was advertised by Expedia. The desk person informed me next morning that they haven’t served breakfast for 3 years. I got angry and ask her isn’t that your responsibility to let people know. She shrugged her head and said sorry. I had to spent another 50 dollars for breakfast at the IHOP. I want my money back.
