Best Western Stanton Inn

One night on the way back to the airport. Had hoped to swim but the boiler was broken so no indoor pool or hot tub unless you wanted to freeze! Disappointed in that, but the facility was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. Would stay again all things considering.

We enjoyed the hotel for it's small size in a small town. The hot tub and pool area was amazing, modern, and clean.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The beds were very comfy. They restocked and straightened our room daily. The breakfast was yummy. My daughter loved the no touch pancake maker. Staff was friendly and quick to help when we had any issues. The pool and hot tub were a great addition. Lots of parking.

No elevator

The only issue i have is that the hot tub for the secound year in a row was no better than lukewarm bath. When i brought it up to the staff was brushed off and told it was fine.

Very disappointed that the hottub was broken and pool not heated.. The staff was nice, place was clean and quiet.

Place was nice. Check in is 3:00 and we got there at 2:30. They wanted to charge us an additional $5 for early check in. By time we got checked in, it was 2:40 so they ended up not charging us. Also, we picked this hotel specifically because they had a pool and hot tub. Well both were broken down so we didn’t get to use them. It would be nice if hotels would let people know that they are broken and give them an opportunity to change hotels if they want.

Nice place to stay. Unfortunately, there were no room darking shades in our room which allowed the security and road lights to shine in and disrupt our sleep. The spa was also cooler than usual.

Stains on carpets. Beds seemed old and ready for replacement. Comforter on bed thin and not very comfortable.

Place was recently renovated and nice and clean and quiet.

Green particles in ice - 2nd heater in room broken , drip, drip drip from shower head after turning off water, light in bathroom goes on automatically and then goes off after a few minutes -waking up person asleep in bed- really bright. Loved the fireplace made room nice and warm. Wasnt expecting housekeeping to come in since 2nights-3 day stay- that was nice ,, replaced garbage cans and new towels.

The bad......checking in the front desk lady was rude and you could clearly tell she didn't want to be there. Not a hello, or even enjoy your stay! The vending machine was basically empty. 4 of the items were so far back you'd have to pay for it 3x before you'd get the item to the front. I lost $3.75 in the machine and when I brought it to the attention of the guy at the front desk he told me he didn't know what he could do and then walked away from me. The worst customer service ever!! And we travel a lot!! Sometimes being a decent hotel is totally not worth it if the service is bad!!

Bed and pillows were comfortable. TV was hard to work. Two different times staff were rude and not willing to help.

The rooms are quite large. The staff is nice. The facility is pretty clean including pool area. The beds are squishy and I would pass on the breakfast. It is offered and on time. However, its walking distance to McDonalds. Everything works and I would stay here again.

Right where we were with friends. Air conditioning was running bit room was humid.

We always stay when in the area. Good service. Overall quiet with windows shut but there is dogs that bark and can hear with windows opened. itarea.

Quiet and above average

Lovely beds! Super soft and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean and had a mini fridge and microwave. No bathtub, just a modern shower stall with good water pressure. Our room was at the end of a long hallway and we didn't hear any noise from other guests. Good breakfast in the morning as well - they have a pancake maker! Overall, would stay here again.

The staff was exceptional. The woman who checked us great! (KRISTI?) The evening staff (man, brown hair with glasses was also very kind and accommodating. Room was was clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast had a good variety and the food was good.

We arrived at10:45 pm. The front desk lady told us she could not give us a room because the system was down and it could take 20 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour or not sure how long for the system to come up. She told us to sit in the lobby until it came up. She stated several times she could not give us a room until the system came up. After I started maybe she should just let us into any room and when the system came up she could enter the relevant info. After a circular discussion for 15 minutes (?) she suddenly told us we could use a room right next to the front desk. In the morning I mentioned this to a man that was at the front desk and he stated rather indignantly that their internet was down, it happens all the time and there was nothing they can do about. He was quite rude and very unprofessional. Given the above, I would like to request a refund of $170 which I paid for this room.

Staff, joe was rude, belligerent, confrontationalthreatening to physically throw me out because it was 7:10 PM. And I wanted to know why he closed the lobby to guest. We , my two brothers their wives and mine had just returned from a wedding anniversary dinner in a blizzard like snow storm, and planned to gather by the fireplace in the lobby but the lights were very dim or turned out. It was very dark in the lobby, but sitting next to the fireplace was a woman the same woman that was sitting behind the registration counter when I arrived , polishing her fingernails when I inquired with him why she was able to sit there and we weren’t. He became very very belligerent and threatened at that time to throw me out if I didn’t shut up and go back to my room and he reassured me that he had the authority to do so. The woman then got out of the chair from in front of the fireplace, started walking towards me and said because we had too much to drink, which is not true we each had one cocktail before dinner at supper club and one in our hand when we were coming back to the lobby to enjoy conversation that’s when Joe said he closed the lobby because before we left for the supper club, we made a big mess in the lobby which is untrue, never left even a napkin or anything. All we did was my brother moved one table about 2 feet and didn’t return it to Its regular position we registered and paid for three rooms expecting all of the normal amenities . We are in our 70s and 80s.

It all started out great! My wife & I arrived alittle earlier in the afternoon so we decided to wait in the lobby by the fireplace for two of my brothers and their wives. They arrived around 4ish. We decided to have one cocktail as our dinner reservation wasn't until 5:45pm (Ropke's, Fantastic). We relaxed, shared a few stories then left for dinner. The manager (Joe) told us the pool and lobby is open until 10PM. While eating, we all duscussed returning to the hotel and sit in the lobby by the fireplace. It was a nice idea as we were in the middle of a snowstorm. When we returned to the hotel around 7PM, my wife was the first one to the lobby. I stopped in our room to make a cocktail. I was headed to the lobby and met her as she was on her way back to the room. She was told by the manager the lobby was closed and all the light were off. My wife noticed his girl friend (or wife) was sitting in front of the fireplace reading a book. My brother tried to speak to Joe to find out why the lo by was closed to us but his lady could sit there and, they promoted the lobby and fireplace in the promotional material but now, we weren't allowed to use it. My room cost $181.00+- with tax and we're being told we can't use the general lobby facility. We were also told if we didn't like it he would have us remived. At that moment, Joe's lady interjected that we left the lobby in a mess earlier. NOT TRUE, we only moved two chairs and a small table so all six of us could sit together.

The hotel is clean and updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stay here for the EAA AirVenture in OshKosh and for the price it can't be beat.

The breakfast was sub standard compared to other hotels I have stayed in with the same price point.

the bed was so comfortable and nice shower. Thay is the end. the breakfast was a horrible experience. it was to be served until 9am, we got there about 8:15 at which time my husband and i each to a spoonful of the last of the potatoes. there were no eggs or sausages. Another women asked me if anyone told the mgr and i said not that i know of, she went back to the laundryroom/kitchen and he said was bringing some eggs in about 7 min, He did enough for a few people. I waitted for the people that had been waiting and there was 1 spoonful left and more people coming in for breakfast. abouy 10 min later he brought out some saussages, again i waited, i got the last two and gave one to my husband. I did see one yogurt left which i took. again there were still more people coming in. The manager never said a word when he came out, nothing to explain why he was so backed up and not a apologies, not one word was said to anyone. i did write to the hotel and he wrote back telling me i had several plates of food and no one told him the food was out. How he knew who i was and how often I was up there is a mystery. Yes, i was up a few times to get one thing each time as i said above what we ate. The reason why we booked this hotel was we like Best Westerns and the added breakfast is a bonus. It was a sure waste of my hotels.com gift card, sadly. The customer service was terribly lacking.
