Bella Vista Suites Lake Geneva

Great views, loved having indoor pool and hot tub after cold winter days over the holidays. Staff came in to service the rental, even over the holidays

We went to lake Geneva for a wedding anniversary and stayed at Bella Vista. We were able to get massages and use amenities like spa, indoor pool, and sauna before checkin in. Room was nice and spacious with helpful reminders and alcohol menu. There are a lot of flies in May. Although our view of the lake was stunning for our bedroom, we weren’t able to use our patio. Loved the K cup machine in the lobby for guests. Our ceiling came in slightly over the shower. Maintenance was able to fix it while we’re out walking around the area. Overall great stay and would love to come back to visit Lake Geneva

Clean hotel with nicely appointed suites. Himalayan salt dry sauna and whirlpool were nice. Close to lots of dining and shopping options or could walk along the lakeside and enjoy.

The staff was exceptionally nice, and the room was inviting and spacious. It was fairly clean, but there was a beer can lying on its side on the balcony, which was a little disconcerting. We were surprised to get a resort fee when we checked in. I guess I missed that when we booked (if we were even aware - I’m not sure we were made aware of it, which I am not happy about), and I think that was for use of the pool/sauna. The pool and sauna were in the basement and were very small and somewhat gloomy. There was also a hot tub, at least it was a really good temperature, but again, pretty gloomy down there. What was nice about our room is that the balcony overlooked the lake. What was bad about our balcony was that there were no privacy walls between the balconies so when somebody in the next rooms stepped out on their balconies, we were next to each other, literally, because the balconies are small. That meant when I went to have my coffee in the morning out on the balcony, there is a big hairy guy sitting just inches away from me on one side (not my husband), and on the other side, one of the cleaning staff was brushing cobwebs off the balcony railing with a broom, not conducive to a peaceful morning. The hotel is within great walking distance to most of downtown Lake Geneva, including the cruises, so that was really terrific. We never had to move the car once. We loved that. Overall, we were pleased and again, the staff was really friendly and pleasant, unusually nice.

Nice hotel right in the heart of the downtown area. The room was clean and offered some kitchen appliances. Nice size pool. Used the fitness center which was sufficient but kind of warm. Only thing we did not care for was the sound barrier. We could almost hear word for word the conversation next door.

No outdoor pool

Great service. Nice medium size hotel excellent located in front of the lake. Convenient for walking around downtown and shopping area. It doesn't have breakfast or cafeteria area, but a coffee machine in rooms that helps you with the morning starts. Small indoor clea pool and sauna, nice temp hot tub and excellent hours for it.

I was very impressed by the room, it was like an apartment type situation with the separate bedroom, the (2) tv’s were a bonus, the coffee was excellent. We didn’t use the spa, jacuzzi or pool but it looked really nice. The parking situation was great, All in all a great experience, can’t wait to be there in the summer! Thx again

Beautiful property. Close to all the fun and sights! Sauna was wonderful as well as the pool and hot tub.

Everything was great except for the pool. We wanted to take a swim but the water was not clean.

Great service. Excellent location. Comfortable. It has options for different family sizes. Need a little attention to the balcony cleanliness. It's a great point to enjoy, but it was full of spiderweb and dust. It can't be used.

Good location. Quiet. Property and rooms need updating. Bathroom floor in room had not been swept, had hair all over it. Hot tub in pool area needs lighting and looked dirty/mildewy. Enjoyed the heated pool.

Everything was fine until I grabbed a towel to dry off when getting out of the shower. Open condom wrapper fell out of the towel. Hotel is ignoring the issue and me when I told them about it.

There was a used condom and wrapper in the garbage of our room. Our small children were there and playing near this garbage. It is unacceptable and made us question if the room was even cleaned before we stayed (straws & crumbs were also on the ground not cleaned up).

Disappointing Experience – Not As Advertised. The location is great but photos of the rooms are not what we stayed in. The carpet was frayed, stained, and hadn’t been vacuumed properly. The entire room felt outdated and poorly maintained. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud, waking us up every time it kicked on. We kept leaving because the room was so bad. For the high price we paid, the experience felt like a bait and switch. This stay did not meet expectations, and I would caution others to confirm room conditions before booking.

Get a lake view room. It is well worth it! Loved how the room was set up. Living area first, and then the private roomy bathroom and then the king bed with a balcony for the Lake Geneva view. Toilet was set in back of bathroom for privacy. Crisp, clean, updated room. Would for sure stay there again, gladly. No bar or restaurant but well within walking distance. The only negative is that it’s in the corner on Main Street where most cars turn left. Some noisy motorcycles & trucks, but I always take earplugs so no bother.

The hotel is in a good location but is worn down. It says it's a smoke free hotel but the hotel provides ash trays on the balconies, so guests smoke, and the smoke is sucked into the nearby air conditioners into the rooms. Several locks and door handles didn't work in the room and I found hairs on the bed and pillows. We ended up canceling after one night and the front desk lady refunded us. She was very pleasant and understanding. We had a much better experience at the Cove two doors down.

Couldnt enjoy the balcony because it was riddled with cobwebs and spiders all over. It just looked likt they havent cleaned it in awhile. Defeats the purpose of having a balcony with a view of the lake when its infested with spiders.

Loved everything except for the lawn cutting at 8am..It was extra loud with our rooms facing the lake..way too early for that loud of a machine as we were trying to relax at the time yet..another relative was very upset as he tried to sleep in too..other than that, everyone was wonderful, helpful and offered many amenities! Comp water behind desk, coffee, and nut bars all day..will definitely stay again..very clean! Such Comfy beds I have to mention also!!

Great view Quiet and clean needs MAJOR UPDATING

Unable to select TV channels. Had to scroll through many many channels to find something to watch. We were given a channel guide but no way to enter the channel number.

Closet in bedroom is extra small and not particularly clean! Property sits on very busy street with loud traffic well into the evening. Amount paid was not reflective of value received.

I arrived at the property on the lookout for a dated room because of a number of the reviews that I read. But when I walked into our room, I was pleasantly surprised by how tastefully it was decorated and how updated the amenities in our room were. The hotel met all of our needs and then some. The location is unbeatable (though, I'd definitely opt for a lake view if we were to stay here again. And the staff responded promptly to our needs. The only complaint I have about our room is the letout couch. Uncomfortable is an understatement- whether you were sitting on the sofa or trying to sleep on the bed. On the other hand, the mattress in the bedroom was quite comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend Bella Vista Suites. Note to the Staff: The room was decoeated really nicely. The coastal vibes were spot on. But the barstools are such a precious color and fabric selection for a hotel that welcomes families. Trying to keep them spot free was an olympic sport. As a guest with snall children, I would recommend/ appreciate a space that is slightly more tiny tot friendly. Thanks.

Hotel is in a great location to downtown Lake Geneva. They have refreshed some aspects of their rooms which is noticeable. The main bed was comfortable and clean. But there were some things that were still lacking from a comfort perspective. The pull out bed for my kids was very uncomfortable. One of the chairs on the balcony was broken so only one adult could hang out there at a time. The window curtain covering the interior window was noticeable yellowing and old. And some of the mirrors in the bathroom showed wear and tear. The TV set-up was also confusing and didn’t offer much. The outside of the hotel also needs some cleaning and paint. And for room set-up, it didn’t work great for our family. The AC unit was in the living area which is where the kids sleep. It was too loud and cold for them so we turned it off but that made the back bedroom very warm to sleep. And if the sofa bed was pulled out, the adults had no where to sit. So we couldn’t really hang all together.

Super cute property and excellent location. Almost everything is walkable. One parking spot per room. Our only issue is the air conditioner is in the living room and not the bedroom so it did get warm at night, but we would still stay here again.

Very close to town of Lake Geneva and Geneva Lake shore path. My king standard room had a whirlpool tub which was unexpected but so nice after a long day of walking around the lake! Room had a microwave, toaster, and refrigerator so it was convenient to make breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has large old style 80’s rooms, a living room, kitchenette, bathroom, king bed …. Great space just not modern …. Still stuck in an era. It definatly served our needs and would consider staying g again

There was no hot water and the jets in the tub did not work. Upon check out I was informed the hot water heater had broke. It would have been courteous of the staff let guests know about the hot water issue and at least issue an apology.

Great place to stay! We stayed for my birthday weekend and asked for lakeside views and they upgraded our room! We have stayed here many times and will continue to stay here.

The hotel is perfectly situated for walking to restaurants, shops and lakefront trails. The room was very clean & the front desk staff was friendly & helpful. The outdoor patio was a great gathering place for our friend group of 8. My only complaint was the noisy heat & ac unit.

Hotel is in a great location! Park your vehicle and walk to marina, restaurants, shops etc. It overlooks the lake and was very quiet. Our room was appointed nicely with everything we needed, plus a balcony! I do think a continental breakfast would be appreciated by the guests. I would absolutely book this hotel again.

room was very clean and spacious, staff was nice and loved the available parking spot in the garage Only drawback was not being able to get food/drinks in the lobby. There is the Baker House restaurant but it would be nice to have a section to just buy snacks or something without having to dine at the restaurant. Still would go back and definitely recommend

We had a lakeside room with a balcony. My husband had been recovering from a long illness and hospitalization, we were looking for a quiet place to relax and this was exactly what we wanted. The weather was very nice so we enjoyed sitting on the balcony and the beautiful lake view. There is no breakfast at the hotel but several nice breakfast options within a few blocks. Shops were also in walking distance. We also enjoyed the 2 hour boat tour on the lake. There was a large carnival a block from our hotel that started on our last night, so our balcony wasn’t so quiet, but really didn’t hear it inside our room.
