Facility inside of the comfort suites as well-maintained and clean however, on the outside felt unsafe

DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked a room through hotels.com and when I drove up, there was indoor furniture sitting outside with men loitering, watching me like "what are you doing here". Under the canopy for checking in there was more indoor furniture setup for what looked to be a smoking area. the grounds were unkept and I would not feel safe staying there. After multiple attempts, hotels.com says the management will not give me a refund. (shocker) I wish I had taken pictures of the terrible condition of this property. I do not leave nasty reviews as a habit, but since they plan on not refunding my money, I plan to give them a bad review on all platforms.

They had nothing on the site about the poool being closed and being redone. Which made the hotel smell strong of gasoline for the paint for the pool. The service was great, just a bummer about the pool

Rooms are very clean and updated. Pool area is small but nice. The doors to the building could be cleaned very dirty. Very friendly and courteous staff. Small continental breakfast but good. Price was good.

Place is under construction,looks terrible the back parking lot looks like a big Garbage Dump..Theyshould have said that it was under construction when i made the reservation...VERY BAD!!!

The staff was friendly. They were doing some renovations so halls were full of furniture etc, but no big deal. However, the furniture was stained, my towel was stained, the carpet had a stain that didn't look as though anyone had tried to remove it. Shower curtain had a line of mold. Day one breakfast was not out more than an hour after it should have been. Day 2 was pathetic. Waffles, fruit and saltines.

The pool advertised was closed, construction done on the building caused a fire hazard. After I called hotels.com, they called the hotel who mysteriously cleaned it up within an hour. There was construction debris literally piled up outside the door

The front desk clerk was kind. Entering the hotel was a bit unnerving as we saw old furniture strewn around the property and even at the front door. When entering the front door, we could tell that the property is under renovations… That made us feel a bit better. We are hoping that the renovations continue and they are able to complete the process quickly, so that any of their future clients will have a more enjoyable experience. A bit more attention to cleanliness in the private bathrooms should be reviewed.

The place is a dump. Charged $20 to check in early. The TV had no stand resting on a table. 3 channels. Door lock was broken. Behind the hotel was a pile of old beds and furniture.

Where to start. First of all, entire hotel is under construction and so it was dirty and unsightly but was never told that when confirming the reservation. Because of the construction, they didn’t serve breakfast and there are not many choices nearby. The fridge stunk and they had a coffee maker and two packets of coffee in the room but NO cups. There were two TV’s in the room and the one that worked kept falling over. The fridge had a rusty dinge on the inside and the toilet and shower had the same orange color to it. The heater sparsely worked and the bedding was thin and inadequate. Bottom line, this place sucks and I would avoid it like the plague!

The room was decent, but the bathroom fixtures were super loose and the sink was clogged. Our room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. The pillows were so thin I ended up with a sore neck after two nights. The breakfast area broke multiple health code violations. It was filthy and there was food all over the counter. We didn’t eat there at all. The only positive was that it was cheap. Would not stay there again.

The hotel looks old and run down. The room smelled like dirty , like cigarette, and it was not too clean. There was dirt around bottom of bath tub outside of it . Also hair on floor, the toilet was not properly cleaned some dirt on it . The sink faucet part dirty needs to be replaced. It didn’t smell clean. I wouldn’t recommend or return.

Hotel is under construction, I understand there will be dust and debris in the construction areas, but the rooms should be clean. There was dust everywhere, the floor was sticky and my feet left clean spots on it. The bathroom had hair balls behind the toilet and dried urine on the base of the toilet. The towels were stained and felt damp. We didn’t eat breakfast there because we figured if the rooms were dirty the kitchen would be also.

Splatter marks on the walls and tv, under bed was very dirty, stained bedding, smelled of smoke

Buildings/rooms ate being remodeled. Dry wall dust everwhere. I had ro wipe off headboards

It was disgusting in our room. There were stains and hairs on the bedding, marks all over the walls and the mirror, and bugs on the ceiling. We had to request new bedding that we had to change ourselves and they only gave us one set (we had two beds). We are three young women who didn't feel very safe after checking in with stares from the male workers. There was a very large (about 1 1/2 inches) gap under the door as well which added to the uneasy feeling we initially had.

This is one of the most disgustingly dirty places I have ever stayed! I don’t think anything has been cleaned in years. The bathroom floor and shower had curly hair everywhere, the cabinets in the room were missing chunks of would and the mirrors looked like they had never been cleaned ever. You couldn’t pay me to ever stay here again.

This hotel was disgusting. There were dead bugs all over the entrance in front of the check in desk. There was sticky black something all over the floors of the room and hallway. The headboard had something dried and white dripped down one of the corners. The tub was disgusting and the handles were corroded black- we couldn't even take a shower. There was a paper towel wrapped around the sink drain to "stop" the leaky pipes. There was holes in the walls and the walls were very dirty. The tv in my grandma's room didn't work and no one would even bother to either get us another room or fix it. Probably one of the most disgusting, rude , horrible services ive ever stayed at. Wouldn't even try the breakfast due to the dirt and grime in the lobby and breakfast area.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and both myself and spouse did not sleep well. We could hear people/kids running up and down the hall most of the night. It sounded as if the people above us were jumping off the furniture and we thought they might come through the ceiling, they were so loud. We both woke up with terrible backaches, due to the bed. The continental breakfast was a joke and consisted of a banana and/or a box of dry cereal. Coffee was weak.

Horrible place, no breakfast, internet for the TV, WIFI like said they did. Outlets hanging out of the wall with live wires. All lighting fixtures removed from the walls with live wires. No other lights in the room.

Theyre in the middle of a remodel. The rooms were clean, but the fans and stuff were noisy or didnt work. Limited lighting. Clutter all the property. But it was cheap. The cheese in the fridge was also moldy

The service was great getting in late but the room had no toilet paper and tv did not work!!

Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Suite with a king size bed, queen size bed, a futon, and a hot tub. We didn’t get to use the hot tub, but the shower had amazing water pressure and was really warm. Room was very large. Obviously a little bit of an older hotel, but overall very clean.

A/C unit was very loud and ran all nite due to weather conditions.

For what is offered in Lake Mills, the only option. It was OK. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. The sheets ect looked dated. If you just need a place to get a little sleep and shower, it works.

First room that was assigned to me was occupied and I woke some random person up around 11pm. Next, toilet was really dirty. There were house flies in the room. Continental breakfast wasn’t offered when I was in the lobby in the morning.

They didn't give me the room I reserved. So I went back to talk to the front desk and she did nothing about it.

The staff was great. They made sure to meet every need we had. We had a busy weekend with our son racing and they were extremely accommodating to our needs from bringing us fresh towels daily to cleaning our room every day

When I walked in there was no one at the front desk which seems to be typical. It appeared as though there may be no actual staff, just a family running the business. After I was acknowledged and checked in I went to my room and was underwhelmed with the condition. The remote to the tv did not work, there was a chair with some sort of electrical cord unplugged and just thrown on top of it, an eyelash and a few hairs on one of the pillow cases, hair and other debris on the bathroom floor, and toilet paper shoved in the peepholes of the door. I tried to let it go as I would only be there one night but then I found debris in my covers. A piece of something that appeared as though it could have been a booger and another piece of something that appeared as though it were either an old dead bug or maybe a small piece of dirt with a couple hairs in it. Whatever it was, it should not have been in the bed if it were clean. I decided there was no way I would be able to get any sleep given the condition of the room so I went to check out and ask for a refund. I was quiet and kept my experience from other guests and politely asked for a refund. They told me I would need to take it up with hotels.com. Hotels told me i would need a refund from them since payment was processed. I came in to get the refund situated the next morning but their “manager” was out. They offered to call me later but never followed up. A refund for the stay I did not experience was never processed.

I’ve never given a poor review before but felt this experience warranted it. At check-in, the desk area was disorganized with room keys and reservation slips (literally) all over the counter, it made me question the security of my information. There were future reservations tacked to the wall for anyone to see. The man behind the counter barely spoke to me. We were in the area for work, had three rooms and checked-in in the evening, and two of the rooms hadn’t been cleaned. The bed had been slept in and the bathroom was dirty. We were given a new room, which was fine, though it smelled slightly of dog waste. After showering, the towels didn’t dry you off. I don’t know if it was all the water softener salt or the type of towel, but it was more like a squeegee than a towel. In the morning, we went to check out the breakfast, there was a family there - the woman called the front desk to ask about breakfast and the man (the same one who checked us in) told her to “just turn it on” (the waffle maker and coffee maker). She tried but couldn’t figure out the self contained coffee maker. Overall, an awful experience (but Lake Mills is nice!)

Well it was nice that the location was good. I was not happy that when I arrived my room was still dirty. So I had to wait for it to be cleaned. I really think that it was not cleaned really well. I don’t think I will stay there again.

Convenient location. Staff was friendly. Our room was updated for the most part. The floor was definitely dirty. The trim was falling off. But for the money we paid for the single night, it was fine.

Really depended on getting breakfast at hotel but after the line of people grew to eat and no food I had to wake up the people to serve us so no breakfast for alot of people

Absolutely terrible stay. Unclean, extremely rude front desk workers, room was dirty and bed was uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was a joke. Warm juice and a waffle maker. Nothing else. Avoid this place.

For one room 209 was awesome if I stay again I totally want the same room. The only thing I didn't like is the tv stations. I don't get into gospel and the tv was not connected to the Internet. Other than the tv everyone was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was awesome
