Clean and comfortable room. Spacious and quiet. Breakfast was tasty and fairly robust. Pool area looked nice and well maintained. We did not utilize but witnessed guests who appeared to be enjoying themselves. Convenient free parking. Close to all downtown stores and restaurants / bars. We will stay here again when we return to the Iron Range.

I’ve stayed at this property numerous times over the years and the condition of the hotel and rooms can vary. Some of the interior appointments have been updated since Wyndham took over the La Quinta brand, and so certain improvements are noticeable. What I found particularly gross during my stay was the amount of hair left on the bathroom floor and front tile entryway once I entered the room. I’m not talking one or two strands of hair, but several that were very noticeable. Also, the toilet paper was not replaced. I checked in very late in the evening and probably should have requested a new room, but the bed was clean so I just stuck with it. Never again, though. No one was at the front desk at checkout and there was only a key drop box, so I did not get to complain in person.

Run down & Dirty! Needs to be cleaned top to bottom and furnishings very out dated, sticky floors and Bathrooms are terrible! Poor Space planning, should take a page from TRU by Hilton! Will never ever stay @ la Quinta again!!

The room was not cleaned prior to putting me in there. There were food stains and hair in the sheets, microwave still dirty, unmopped floor, shower was not clean. I got a non smokers room and it had the signs that a smoker was there (black smudges on the wall, black marks on shower. I called to confirm whether it was a nonsmoking room and they said they couldn’t control their customers. There was a cigarette butt in the floor on the hallway. They gave me a towel with cleaning solution on there as a response to my concerns. I’ve used them for an extended stay on the third floor and that was nearly perfect. The second floor, this occasion, was rough.
