We came for one night for a football game. The room was immaculate, the desk staffed at all times, and staff friendly. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming and my dietary needs are different, but at least it was available for my husband. Parking was easy and it was right down the road from where we needed to go.I loved online check-in and check-out.

Very clean. Comfortable beds. The staff was super friendly and helpful with all our questions. Parking was not an issue and we brought a boat. Breakfast was nice. We will use them again when we come fishing on the Mississippi River.

Advertised as having large vehicle/truck parking, but when we arrived we learded this parking is a nearby cul-de-sac only. The bathroom had mold visible under the peeling wallpaper. Bedroom area was equipped with a full wall of mirrors which made us uncomfortable (2 females). Our room phone rang intermittently throughout the night snd when answered there was only a dial tone. We had to unplug it around 2am so we could sleep. Advertised continental breakfast was limited to toast and cereal type options. The beds were comfortable so this was the highlight to an otherwise unfortunate stay.

The first room we got smelled terrible. Black mold around the ceiling in the bathroom. We went to the desk and said we couldn’t stay in that room. The young man was very nice and gave us a different room which ended up being fine but it was hard to get past the first room!

Unfortunately there was a significant amount of black mold in the bathroom and we were forced to abandon our second night stay without a refund. It was close to being the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Cheap, easy access to highway, quiet, decent free breakfast. Sheets were clean but duvet was not. Air conditioner smelled terrible. Hair in shower. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Disappointing stay especially for the price. Definite unpleasant odor in both our room and our friends room in a completely different floor and side of the hotel. Hotel is run down. There were eggs or small bugs in every corner of the bathroom.

It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. I read another review complaining of the noise from the interstate. To be honest, it was noticeable, but not the fault of the hotel. The breakfast was nice and offered plenty of choices, but no hot food. All in all, I would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff & adequate breakfast for a cost effective hotel. Carpet in our room needed shampooing as I noticed my footprints on tub base each time I stepped into wet tub to shower — and not because I was wearing sandals all day. I wore socks & tennis shoes outside the room and took off after returning to room & walking around on the carpet with my bare feet at that time. Otherwise, no complaints.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly. It was right off the highway in a good area. You could hear the cars on the highway and the air conditioner was loud. The tv also had screen issues. But for a decent price and just a rest overnight was fine for us.

Overall, the stay was great for the price. As stated in other reviews, if you can get a room opposite of the freeway, that'd be best. It was incredibly loud at times.

After staying at this location for two weeks, 95% of the staff was wonderful! We had to leave a $100 deposit at the desk due to paying with cash. I also brought my ESA dog and when I checked in and offered to show legal documentation from my doctor, the employee said he didn’t need to see it. When we checked out, it seemed like the owner (or GM, not sure) tried just about everything to keep our deposit. One of the reasons was because we didn’t pay a pet deposit that is required. I then went on to explain that I had paperwork and offered it at check in….she persisted on as if I had done something wrong when in fact, it was her coworker that didn’t follow any policy. The dog area seemed to be a bit dirtier than it should have been but overall, the staff was pleasant, room was small and I felt safe. The tv could have been a bit bigger but the location was great. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate the Microtel in Onalaska a 4.

The hotel room we stayed in here was one of the smallest I've ever been in. We could barely walk around the bed. It was pretty expensive for what we got. Also, we were accidentally double charged for the room, though the management did resolve that quickly. The breakfast choices were minimalist. They did have some items to microwave. The whole experience was adequate...nothing special.

It was fine. The room was pretty janky, feeling wallpaper, questionable plumbing fixtures. The bathtub spout didn't work right, and water came out of the shower and the bath smells simultaneously. The bed was nice and clean and soft with nice pillows. But the rest of the room was dirty and in need of maintenance. Staff was robotic and curt. Sufficed as a crash pad, but next time I will opt for a nicer hotel. Would have been fine for 20-year-old me, but 40-year-old me is a little over it.

Micro is a good word. Everything was minimal. Room size, bed condition, breakfast etc. and not inexpensive! Much worse than other places we’ve stayed in LaCrosse area.

Check in was frustrating. She said she didn’t have a reservation for me. I told her I purchased through Expedia and she kept telling me no reservation. After about 8 minutes of me insisting I have a reservation, she found it.

I only had an issue with wanting to receive a wake up call for 6 am. The wake up call came at 2:24 am and I was awake the rest of the night. Had a long day coming up so was not happy. No one was at front desk when I called down there so asked them when I checked out. He didnt know what happened and said "sorry". The guests above me made a lot of noise the 2nd night and had a barking dog. Otherwise the place was good.

Since the hotel is located right next to I90 the traffic noise is considerable with the window open. It seems unnecessary to have the window closed and run the a/c when the temps are only around 50 degrees outside!

This was a great lesser priced hotel compared to those in La Crosse, and this was a short drive to anywhere in La Crosse, and there is more around this hotel than in downtown La Crosse. The hotel is a bit dated, but it is clean. No complaints. It served its purposed well. ;)

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. We were vendors at a craft sale. Great location for restaurants shopping and real close to the venue. Good price, it was all we needed for the weekend.

Good location. Not the cleanest. Beds were ok. No hot breakfast. There was a microwave if you wanted to heat something up. Juice machine was leaking and left a puddle on floor. One customer complained his bagel was moldy. For a cheap night it’s ok but don’t expect much.

The breakfast area to get your food. Only 2 people can fit in it. If you can find a better place do it. Was not worth the $173/night. Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Love staying at this Microtel hotel every time i come backbto my hometown to visit. Very clean, nicely decorated room with great continental breakfast in morning. Very nice staff too. 5 stars.

I was very pleased with everything here. The staff were helpful and kind. Something hot for breakfast would have been a plus, but the options for a quick breakfast on the go were fine. I will be back!

Torn carpet, older fixtures, generally run down in appearance. “Breakfast” was a basket of bananas, juice, hard boiled eggs, cellophane wrapped bagels, yogurt, and cereals in a dispenser. Milk from a gallon jug in the mini fridge. You get what you paid for and just needed somewhere to get a few hours sleep before heading out on the road again. If that’s what you’re looking for this place will do. Otherwise spend a couple more bucks at another place.

It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. I read another review complaining of the noise from the interstate. To be honest, it was noticeable, but not the fault of the hotel. The breakfast was nice and offered plenty of choices, but no hot food. All in all, I would definitely stay again.

Our room was as if someone started to clean it but did mot finish our bed appeared to be clean but the sink in the bathroom did not the trash can was emptied but no trash bag in it there was no soap in the bathroom at all the floors did not appear to be swept

Right next to the interstate and paper thin walls. Woke up to someone talking loudly between 3-4am. Also overpriced due to the Oktoberfest celebrations going on in the area.

The motel itself was clean and well taken care of . The rooms themselves are small; not a lot of places to store luggage . It is a good location for different activities in the area . Surrounded by multiple choices to eat and shop . The bathroom counters are small which makes it difficult to get ready in the morning . They also do not have a mirror outside the bathroom if multiple people are trying to get ready at the same time. The breakfast on the weekends does not start until 7am so if you have anything going prior to that you will not have that available to you . I would still recommend the motel as it is a decent value for the price .

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The main problem was when we used the shower and moved the showerhead the whole head came off. There was lots of interstate traffic noise, but the hotel couldn’t help that.
