Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rice Lake

1)our TV would not switch channels so I called to the desk and was told “I’ll be right up”. 20 minutes passed so I went down and the women was watching tv on the sofa with a guy. I asked if I talked to her and she said “oh, I forgot” she tried to get the tv working. After no success, she said we could move to another room. From 205 to 217 we agreed. When we checked out the room, we found that the frig did not have a freezer. We had items that needed to be kept frozen. She told us we could keep our things in the 205 frig and that no one would have entrance to that room. So we moved into the other room and keep our food in room 205. In the morning as we were packed up and I went to room 205, the door was propped open! Some of the other rooms in that area were also open but those people had checked out. We still had our pass key for 205 so it should not have been open. Our same woman at the desk said that it was open for maintenance to look at the tv. I can’t quite believe that because many other rooms were open for cleaning. No personnel in the area. This upset me. Also, when we checked in, at the end of the other hall way, it looked like the cleaning of rooms was being done, even though we saw no personnel. There were baskets and plastic bags on the floor. That was still there the following morning we we checked out. We stayed here two times and have enjoyed our stay. We will need to consider our options the next time. We come that way 2 times a year.

Loud noises woke me up at 6 am. I think the noise came from a hotel stock room close to my room 106. Also late night check in by computer was a very lengthy process.

Omelette was interesting idea. Enjoyed it.
