This property appears to be a rehab work in progress. The interior was OK for the price. . Exterior was shabby with some evidence repairs being done. Breakfast was was good. My serious concern is with the lack of uh key card excess locks or any sort of locks on the side and rear doors of the building where guests can enter closer to their rooms. These were unlocked with easy access. It was explained that they were new doors however I did not see any evidence that they were about to or were attempting to put electronic locks on them.

The parking lot was litterly an ice rink. We made a few comments but nothing was done. A little salt would have been helpful. It was sunny & it turned to water & when we left Sunday it was awful. Thats unacceptable

Room was clean, hot tub was hot. Parking lot is small and hotel is right off the busy road in point…..but otherwise a very nice stay.

This place has reasonable spacious rooms, a small refrigerator, the king size bed was perfect. Ice machines that worked and a pool with hot tub, but no drinks allowed in the pool area. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Booked it through a third party and got the room at a very reasonable price. Dining and drink establishment next door so you dont have to drive for supper. Breakfast included was better than average.

Although the hotel was being remodeling the entrance and we had to go in through the back, we had a great experience. The hotel and room was clean. Bed was comfortable and the size of the room was perfect. The pool was our favorite 😁

Front desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Set a great tone! Pool area & hot tub was great and we enjoyed the warm breakfast options. Overallthe property feels a little dated with the tiny bathroom but it was kore than sufficient for our stay.

Had booked this hotel for the hot tub and pool only to find out they were closed due to construction on outside of hotel. The halls smelled a little like walking into a late 70s or early 80s hotel. Very cramped parking area. Bed was pretty comfortable. Staff was friendly and very apologetic for inconvenience of pool and hot tub. The breakfast was ok, pretty standard like a lot of hotels.

Stayed quite some time here — if you are going to be there an extended time, call the hotel directly for a better rate than what is advertised here. Ask for room service when you want it - even though they said ever 3 days, it didn’t happen unless I asked. Breakfast was standard fare - waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy with sausage rotating in & out a couple times a week, yougurt, muffins/cereal/oatmeal/bagels. The pool and hot tub was better than the Holiday Inn Conference center we were at prior to staying here - it was always warm and got to know other travelers staying there. Honestly, I was looking for a hotel not a motel that didn’t break the bank and this fit the bill.

It was fine for our 9hr quick overnight but I probably wouldn’t stay for a whole weekend. It’s over all a little run down, there was someone else’s hair in the shower, and breakfast was mostly gone when we went down at 8am.

Spiders and cockroaches in the room. Stood at the 1st corner for 20 while the owners were on 3rd floor screaming and yelling at a woman! I had to go there and ask for assistance

We found baby cockroaches in our sink and had a dead cockroach on a table in our room. We looked all over our room for more. We took a video of the sink and brought the dead cockroach down to the front desk and talked to Haydin who was working when we checked in. She was wonderful, apologetic, and tried to put us in a new room, but she said they were fully booked. We were in town for a soccer tournament and most of the team was staying at the Hampton. We tried calling there to get a different room, but they were fully booked too. We tried a few other places, but everyone was booked because of the busy weekend. Haydin was really nice and helpful, and told us to let her know if we had any other problems. Every time we came back to our room, we were checking for cockroaches and my 12 year old daughter was scared to sleep in the room. Overall, the help was wonderful, but we were disgusted with finding cockroaches in our room!

I've been to La Quinta's before this is probably one of the worst ones I have been to. Very disappointed the breakfast was not very good. And the room was very very old and smelly. But I'll tell you one thing the bed was comfortable and clean that's the only positive thing. There was mold in the washroom bathtub.

The staff was excellent and helped answer any and all questions we had. The rooms are a little outdated, but the bed was super comfortable. I would recommend for anyone traveling to the Steven's Point area.

Clean, easy check-in, friendly staff. The only room for improvement is we could hear every step the person above us took. I didn't hear any other noise from other guests, so perhaps it was just the individual, but it did keep me up when I was trying to sleep. If you are a light sleeper I would request the third floor :)

No blackout curtains - bright at night. No exhaust fan in bathroom (just a vent that does not move air), so if you take hot shower the tiny shower room/toilet is a sauna. If you have bad gas, everyone in the room will HEAR and SMELL it. Nowhere for fumes to go but back into the room. Very small TV sits lower than the bed, so you have to look thru your feet to watch TV, which is very uncomfortable.

We were in for one night. The kids enjoyed the pool. The hotel was clean. Beds are full-size, not queen, and it made things tight for sharing. The hotel is right off the main highway, and the road noise at night was noticeable. Breakfast was good.

Rooms were clean and property was under some renovation but otherwise really nice. The exceptional rating is due to the excellent customer service by all staff. Everyone was very personable and helpful!!

Person at the front desk could not understand what I was asking, very frustrating the language barrier. I checked in on line and that was a total waste of time because they had issues with understanding what I was asking at t the check in time at the counter. TV did not work and again the person did not undrstand English language. Frustrating so no TV all night. Manager was great the following morning, breakfast sufficient, room was clean.

POOR customer service by the Manager the filthy iron ruined my expensive Talbot jacket. The Manager called the owner who said they would provide a partial refund on the room ' in a couple of days' The credit card was billed full price. When called multiple times they said Hotels.com would refund the money. Multiple calls and no refund.

Upon check-in, I showed the desk gal my acct where I already was charged/paid. Manager stepped up and proceeded to insist on me giving my card anyhow. Looking at my acct later, was indeed double charged AND charged an additional $100 “deposit”. When I asked, told for ‘incidentals’ and would be refunded once we checked out. (Which they did 3 days later) Also found manager outside snooping around my car when we went to leave. Breakfast extremely limited at 8am even though it said served til 10. Asked for more bagels/bread to be put out & told no. Lastly, received a text AND a knock on our door at 8am (checkout was 11) asking when we were leaving? NEVER AGAIN!!!

We found baby cockroaches in our sink and had a dead cockroach on a table in our room. We looked all over our room for more. We took a video of the sink and brought the dead cockroach down to the front desk and talked to Haydin who was working when we checked in. She was wonderful, apologetic, and tried to put us in a new room, but she said they were fully booked. We were in town for a soccer tournament and most of the team was staying at the Hampton. We tried calling there to get a different room, but they were fully booked too. We tried a few other places, but everyone was booked because of the busy weekend. Haydin was really nice and helpful, and told us to let her know if we had any other problems. Every time we came back to our room, we were checking for cockroaches and my 12 year old daughter was scared to sleep in the room. Overall, the help was wonderful, but we were disgusted with finding cockroaches in our room!

Do to its location near the highway, road traffic was apparent early on, but reduce by nightfall. Close to good restaurant options. Staff was very helpful pointing out some possible eating options and which place might be closed by 8pm. Bed was comfortable. Overall, I was pleased with my stay.

We had a short one-night stay getting in late and leaving early the next morning, so we didn't get a chance to use most of the hotel's amenities including breakfast. However, the manager was friendly, check-in was easy and the room was comfortable and clean.

Better than we expected. The best thing is a large and beautiful park just behind the parking lot. We walked there in the evening and next morning with our dog.

This place has reasonable spacious rooms, a small refrigerator, the king size bed was perfect. Ice machines that worked and a pool with hot tub, but no drinks allowed in the pool area. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Booked it through a third party and got the room at a very reasonable price. Dining and drink establishment next door so you dont have to drive for supper. Breakfast included was better than average.

We were in for one night. The kids enjoyed the pool. The hotel was clean. Beds are full-size, not queen, and it made things tight for sharing. The hotel is right off the main highway, and the road noise at night was noticeable. Breakfast was good.

I've been to La Quinta's before this is probably one of the worst ones I have been to. Very disappointed the breakfast was not very good. And the room was very very old and smelly. But I'll tell you one thing the bed was comfortable and clean that's the only positive thing. There was mold in the washroom bathtub.

Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was outdated but clean. Breakfast was small but at least they had one and the coffee was decent. Close to UWSP if visiting a student. Would stay again.

Stayed quite some time here — if you are going to be there an extended time, call the hotel directly for a better rate than what is advertised here. Ask for room service when you want it - even though they said ever 3 days, it didn’t happen unless I asked. Breakfast was standard fare - waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy with sausage rotating in & out a couple times a week, yougurt, muffins/cereal/oatmeal/bagels. The pool and hot tub was better than the Holiday Inn Conference center we were at prior to staying here - it was always warm and got to know other travelers staying there. Honestly, I was looking for a hotel not a motel that didn’t break the bank and this fit the bill.

We reserved this room because if it’s affordability. However, when we entered the room it was quite evident that someone had been seated on the bed, the bathroom light was on, and the toilet seat was up in the “male usage” position. There was a variety of dead bugs on the window sill, and at night there were bugs crawling all over the bathroom floor. The fitted sheet did not stay in place and I had to get up several times to fit it back over the mattress. The coffee was so weak as to look like the color of tea and the breakfast included eggs but nothing to go alongside but biscuits and gravy, which is not something that most people choose. I have stayed at La Quinta hotels before and been satisfied, so I can only chalk this up to the Stevens Point, Wisconsin facility.

Last-minute stop while traveling with husband. Got there after 8 pm and it was nice to have a restaurant (not fast food) right next door. Jadyn at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming when we got there. Her smile was contagious. The room was quiet, and in the morning, when it was time to shower, I was so excited that there was some good water pressure in the shower! Breakfast was minimal but warm. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, French toast, make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, ect. Overall would deffinetley stay here again.

Very close to a main road so noise was definitely an issue. The separated bathroom/vanity area made it difficult getting ready quietly while my husband slept. The bed was very comfortable and we liked having both a couch and chair in the room. We did not use the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was ok, not a large selection but good considering the price of the room.

We had a king suite, room #218, which has to be the worst room available. We were directly above the automatic front doors, which we heard and felt late into the night and early in the morning, to the point where it wakes you up. The AC unit was extremely loud. The mattress in the hide-a-bed was very thin and not even comfortable put directly on the floor. Even the very small refrigerator was loud, and the swimming pool was very small. There was a musty smell as well. The bed sheets wouldn't stay on, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Didn't try breakfast, but didn't see meat offered. Won't be back.

Stopped by at 1:30 and confirmed room, and that we'd be back late, late. We booked a king, got 2 Full size due to 'error on their end', but said tho 2 fulls were higher priced, we got the lower King bed price. Room was very musty smelling, Ceiling patches ( several) not blended in to the rest of the ceiling, No smoke detector in room. We did tell them about smoke detector and toilet has a leak, so refilled every so often. Other than musty smell, room was clean.

It is a decent hotel. The Dish streaming service on the small TV was horrible. The guide and the channels did not match. It was frustrating. It would be nice if one of the three cereal options could be gluten-free.
