Hotel is dated and smells musty. Mo elevators, only stairs. Breakfast was terrible with expired milk being used for cereal and waffle mix. Check in via a kiosk in the lobby was odd and I’d much prefer an actual face to face interaction. Overall stay was fine for what we needed. Also the playground in the photos is no where in sight.

We had an unusual experience with check-in through a kiosk, with the clerk on a video call from another location. Anyway, it was good and got the job done. This was the first Baymont I stayed at that didn’t have an elevator, and the WiFi didn’t work.

The grounds look nothing like the pictures. Very unkept outside. No jungle gym for kids, fire pit unkept, outdoor seating rusty and dirty. Lobby was newly remolded looking. Walls, doors, and hallways not very clean. Room was not too bad, other than the drywall dust under the sink that was left after repair of sorts. Beds and pillows comfortable. Lightbulbs burned out. Overall, probably wouldn't stay if there were other choices.

Room was clean. Check in with a kiosk was not good. It took a long time and, when you gave them answers to their questions, the computer was not getting the answers correct. Personal service is so much better. Big drawback for the hotel is that there is NO elevator with 3 floors. As we are a little older, climbing stairs with luggage does not work. You should notate that in the description of the hotel

I was assisted by a kiosk on screen person as well as a live person at check in. Why keep 2 people?. Strangely the clerk on screen was more helpful and friendly than the on site clerk. No Elevator at the hotel, so make sure to request a downstairs room.

The property was fine once you checked in. Decent breakfast options, good room, lots of nearby dining and shopping options in walking distance. Bed, bath were nice. Only real weak point is the remote lobby which I assume is a cubbyhole somewhere on the property. I would strongly prefer a real lobby setup, and there's no reason not to have one so far past 2020; the remote was slow and didn't work well. Also the electronic key reader for the backdoor on the outside was busted and the wiring exposed to the elements. Forget any security concerns, with a bit of rain or snow it's a goner. Otherwise, very nice cheap stay for SP or Wausau area.

I stayed for a night, was a great stay. The breakfast was good, and the rooms were comfy. The live video check-in was kind of neat, and the on-screen clerk was friendly. The only drawbacks were the lack of an elevator and no pool.

To check in you talked to a kiosk to check you in, did not care for that. Yes there was an attendant there to help you put your id in correctly and charge card. He could have checked us in. Would have been faster. Went to our room at 5 after three they were cleaning it still. One side of the room, the carpeting was supposed to go up the wall about 6 inches, well part of that was, the other half was not. Looked cheap. Got back to the room later in the evening, go to turn the t.v. on with the remote, wouldn't come on. Wires hanging down on the backside. Tried in the morning, same thing wouldnt turn on. Coudlt find the on off button ON the t.v. to do it by hand. Yes remote had working batteries in The back entryway had no lock on it, you didnt need your room key to get in there. No one around at the front desk except when checking in. Did not feel safe This place has really gone downhill since we started going up in 2017. We will not be going back.

No elevator. We saw one of the housekeeping people outside smoking more than we saw inside. Check in was a bit of a wait, as we had to call the person on duty to come to the front desk. Worst breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel - brown eggs, clearly not refilled by 1 1/2 hours into breakfast. Sausage was greasy, flavorless. Patio area in the back needed attention (garbage, patio furniture displaced). Ok for the price paid, not what we expected.

I stayed at this property the evening of the 21st planning to check out on the 23rd. I woke up early on the 22nd to find bed bugs in my bed along with blood on my sheets and bites on my body. After bringing the bugs to the front desk they told me I would not be charged. I was charged for both nights (only having slept there for part of the first night) and have contacted the hotel numerous times explaining the situation. I have been told each time the manager would be told and follow up. It has been 2 weeks and I still have not received any resolution.

Room need to cleaned/replace items and fill hole in ceiling. Shower curtain looks like there is small spots od blood on it, sheets and pillow cases are more of a yellowish color not white. Bedding had some other coloring issues as well like brown spots. Round hole in ceiling with wires like they took down a light or something and never replaced/filled the hole.

The bathrooms were filthy, the bedrooms smelled funny as did the hallways and the ceiling fan in the room looked like it was about to fall off of the ceiling. It was not a good experience at all so we checked out a night early.

This hotel is located on the north side of Stevens Point, near an I-39 interchange. It is next to a larger hotel, a Comfort Inn that I have stayed in before, but decided to give this place a try. It is clearly an older property, and fairly small, only two floors with perhaps 20 rooms per floor. It has been renovated, but the older style room layout and tiny bathroom reveal its vintage. Other than a sink that drained slowly, everything else was fine, no complaints.....except it seemed I could hear the TVs in adjacent rooms more than I am used to. The hotel is in a district of strip malls and such, but surprisingly not that much in the way if nearby sit-down restauants. The UW campus is almost next door, just a few blocks away.

We appreciated the staff and you can tell the rooms were adequately cleaned. Our biggest complaint was the noise honestly. When walking down the hallway, we could hear every conversation clear as day happening in the rooms. Also, it sounded like there was a rugby team having a full match above our room until about 11:30 p.m.

Strange to check in & out with a kiosk and someone in India or Pakistan. First room had a ceiling fan that was wobbling & noisy & dangerous back down to the lobby (no elevator) to change rooms. Second day room keys didn’t work - back down to the libby (real person this time). Bathroom floor was sticky. Very small rooms

Rooms 102 snd 103 needs just a “refresh” but nothing major. This said let’s talk about those beds!!!!!!!!!!!! These beds are clouds in a mattress for both rooms. These beds are pure comfort. You’ll not go wrong and you’ll sleep like a baby.

It was very quiet. Room was big the bed comfortable and I really enjoyed the shower nice large walk in. The only thing was the ceiling fan above the bed looked like it was coming loose from the ceiling.

Beds were clean and very comfortable, and the pillows were amazing. Amenities were provided and breakfast was basic but free. We needed a room for just one night while in town for the UW graduation, it was small and dated but clean and comfortable

For the price, it wasn’t a terrible option. The rooms were small, dark, and needed a good refresh. The front desk staff, while helpful at check in, was not very welcoming otherwise. There is no common place to gather, so it’s not a good option for groups. The lobby has several slot machines instead of the couches shown in the picture (one couch is still there) so that leaves a counter height table and one chair if you’d like to do anything outside of the room. There are chairs by all the machines in the lobby, but I was told by the front desk staff that if I used them, they needed to be returned immediately if someone needed them for the slot machine. The breakfast left a lot to be desired - expired milk, sour waffle mix, bad coffee and zero options for fresh fruit. There was seating for breakfast. Overall would not return.

The first room they gave us was foul! We could smell the mildew from the hallway. They wanted to up charge us because the second room they gave us was a 2 bed rather than 1 bed room. Seriously!!?? The first room was a biohazard. The second room was better but the door had a huge gap & we could see into the hallway. The hallway & entry doors were a bit on the rundown side. The tv in the bedroom did not work. The remotes were not programmed. The clerk who came to assist was so stoned he could hardly walk. I think I could have gotten a contact high from the smell of his clothes. I don’t know what happened at check-in. The clerk had issues. I’ve received 7 check in emails - I better not receive 7 charges!

When checking in we already were off to an odd start. There was a kiosk for check-in. Which was very time consuming and ridiculous. There was one couple checking in already when we arrived, but we were unable to check in with the person physically in front of us. We had to use the kiosk and it took a considerable amount more of time. Then there is no elevator in the building, inconvenient but luckily we didn't need it. However, we got to our room and found out that the deadbolt doesn't even work. Plus the fact that our door "closes" but left a gap about 1/2" that let's light through and the door wiggles within. Like someone opened and closed a door at one point on the floor and the air flow made our door jiggle and move. The first night we found out that most of the outlets in the room were inaccessible because they had taped over them all. So we had access to three plug in spots -- so long as we unplugged their hair dryer to use the outlet. There isn't a large overhead light in the main area of the room. Which we stayed in a standard king room. But there was a ceiling fan -- which is sort of odd in a room that there is an a/c unit already. The ceiling fan was low enough that someone taller cannot lift their hands/arms up very high. The sink did not drain well, so we had to wait for it to drain a few times. It also didn't seem secured to the wall. The bathroom had unfinished tile work on the wall. Breakfast was edible, but can't take it to your room.

When checking in we already were off to an odd start. There was a kiosk for check-in. Which was very time consuming and ridiculous. There was one couple checking in already when we arrived, but we were unable to check in with the person physically in front of us. We had to use the kiosk and it took a considerable amount more of time. Then there is no elevator in the building, inconvenient but luckily we didn't need it. However, we got to our room and found out that the deadbolt doesn't even work. Plus the fact that our door "closes" but left a gap about 1/2" that let's light through and the door wiggles within. Like someone opened and closed a door at one point on the floor and the air flow made our door jiggle and move. The first night we found out that most of the outlets in the room were inaccessible because they had taped over them all. So we had access to three plug in spots -- so long as we unplugged their hair dryer to use the outlet. There isn't a large overhead light in the main area of the room. Which we stayed in a standard king room. But there was a ceiling fan -- which is sort of odd in a room that there is an a/c unit already. The ceiling fan was low enough that someone taller cannot lift their hands/arms up very high. The sink did not drain well, so we had to wait for it to drain a few times. It also didn't seem secured to the wall. The bathroom had unfinished tile work on the wall. Breakfast was edible, but can't take it to your room.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. We didn't realize that the Baymont does not have an elevator, so carrying everything up the stairs was difficult. If we had realized it, we would have booked at a different hotel. The door to our room did not have a tight fit, so it let in a lot of light from the hallway and you could hear everyone walking by. We do like the separate bathroom/sink area. This allows someone to keep getting ready for the day while someone else is in the shower.

My credit card was double charged...once thru Expedia and once again at the Inn. When I called to inform them of the double billing the guest service agent insisted it was not double charged. I assured her it was indeed double charged as I was stairing at my online banking when I called the inn. I then asked to speak to the manager and a Christa(sp?) rudely informed me they had not double billed us. She then finally admitted to double charging us but that it was credited back later that day. The credit has not posted to our account yet and a simple "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. Instead, she continued to argue with me and told me "hey, accidents happen". I am quite aware accidents can happen and that is what a sincere apology is meant to help resolve. She was extremely rude and we will never stay here again!

I didn't like the whole check in process. Not sure why I had to go to a face chat type screen to check in. My key card also didn't work and the lock on my door froze. Had to wait 10-15 minutes to have someone come to disassemble the lock to get into my room.

Hotel was very clean. Room was great! I was charged an unexpected $100 room deposit. And then when I went to check out, there was no one at the counter. I ended up talking to someone through a television. So I'm not sure if my card will be credited back the deposit fee.

This was a nice place to rest my head for the night. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean. It’s a small town so you’re not very far from the Downtown area, river and park. I’d stay here again.

When you walk in you need to talk to a person on a kiosk who doesn't speak fluent English, and the monitor doesn't help! The staff was unfriendly, the AC did not work and the room smelled musty. I had to go to the office twice because my card would not open my door! It was a frustrating stay. Next time I'll stay next door where your greeted by smiling humans!

This hotel is located on the north side of Stevens Point, near an I-39 interchange. It is next to a larger hotel, a Comfort Inn that I have stayed in before, but decided to give this place a try. It is clearly an older property, and fairly small, only two floors with perhaps 20 rooms per floor. It has been renovated, but the older style room layout and tiny bathroom reveal its vintage. Other than a sink that drained slowly, everything else was fine, no complaints.....except it seemed I could hear the TVs in adjacent rooms more than I am used to. The hotel is in a district of strip malls and such, but surprisingly not that much in the way if nearby sit-down restauants. The UW campus is almost next door, just a few blocks away.

Only real weak point is the remote lobby which I assume is a cubbyhole somewhere on the property. I would strongly prefer a real lobby setup, and there's no reason not to have one so far past 2020; the remote was slow and didn't work well. Also the electronic key reader for the backdoor on the outside was busted and the wiring exposed to the elements. Forget any security concerns, with a bit of rain or snow it's a goner. Otherwise, very nice cheap stay for SP or Wausau area.

We had a very nice stay! The property and room was updated, nice, clean, large tv, comfortable. The breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, waffles and more! We were able to walk and find many restaurants, coffee shops, etc. It was well staffed and staff was friendly.

Very comfortable room with nice beds. Breakfast was very good and even had bacon availble. Checking in using a remote agent was a little different. Not as personable as having a person next to you but won't preventme staying there again.

For the price, it wasn’t a terrible option. The rooms were small, dark, and needed a good refresh. The front desk staff, while helpful at check in, was not very welcoming otherwise. There is no common place to gather, so it’s not a good option for groups. The lobby has several slot machines instead of the couches shown in the picture (one couch is still there) so that leaves a counter height table and one chair if you’d like to do anything outside of the room. There are chairs by all the machines in the lobby, but I was told by the front desk staff that if I used them, they needed to be returned immediately if someone needed them for the slot machine. The breakfast left a lot to be desired - expired milk, sour waffle mix, bad coffee and zero options for fresh fruit. There was seating for breakfast. Overall would not return.

The people working there are not helpful, they direct you to a kiosk that you talk to someone in another country via video chat. They ask you for your credit card again & charge you $100 & refund it when you check out. The A/C was not on in the front office. The workers & their large family were sitting outside so we figured they all lived there too. We found a breakfast sausage on the window sill in the hallway. You can tell they did not clean the bedrooms good, doors didnt close & there was a sheet covering the couch. We did not feel safe with our trailer & boat overnight in the parking lot so we forfeited our money & went across the street. I was told that the hotel next to Baymont also has permanent living occupants.
