Pool was down has been down for about 3 weeks already

Good location. Decent breakfast. You get two free Cocktails per day in lounge. Nice.

Upon arriving to the hotel and checking in, I was informed at that time that the swimming pool, which is why I booked the hotel in the first place. I called hotels.com. Explain the situation that their website was incorrect never did they inform the website that the swimming pool was closed down for Repair. I’m extremely disappointed with hotels.com. I called to get a new hotel and the gentleman. I spoke to did nothing but argue with me and basically blamed me. I am looking for a full refund for that hotel stay at the Ramada by Wyndham in Waupaca. Rachelle Jaquith 262-501-0238

Poor internet connection! Nice indoor pool , convenient location

The breakfast was very good, and had a wide variety. There is also an elevator which makes upper level access nice with small children.

Great pool but waterslides were not open

Prior to arrival, I saw mixed reviews on several sites. I almost changed my reservation and am very glad I did not. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area is safe. The hotel is dog friendly and was a good experience for all of us. The breakfast was good with make your own waffles, peanut butter, hard boiled eggs and scrambled eggs (later in the week). Fresh coffee and hot water is available 24/7. The pool and gym were very nice and well used. The main pool was not too cold and the hot tub was not too hot. The hotel has the added feature of a bar, which is opened Wednesday thru Saturday during the off season. The free drink tickets were an added bonus! The hotel and room were clean. Overall, aspects of the hotel and rooms were dated and could benefit from continued renovations. This includes some improvements to the outside landscaping. Overall, the experience and value cannot be beat. I highly recommend staying there.

Awesome fitness center and basketball hoop in pool

I paid to stay at a waterpark but the slides couldnt be used. No ice, no elevatirs, everythinh was broke. Snow was not cleared had to walk rgrew a pile to get in doors.

The bathroom was terrible with mold in the toilet and around the grab bars, the room smelled of mold, mildew, fresh paint and cleaning chemicals. The sheets are too small for the beds. The smell in the hallways were even worse than in the rooms. If this is the only hotel you can afford, go camping or stay in your vehicle! Seriously!!!! The bathroom in my daughter's room had dead flies on the floor and probably on the carpet, but we didn't get that close to the carpet to find out.

There were beetles all over the ceiling and the drains were clogged in the shower and sink. Standing in a pool of water when showering is gross.

Property is in dire need of an update! Our A/C unit was corroded and dirty, but worked. Bathtub/shower had dirt/hair around the drain. Bathroom sink was clogged from the moment we checked in...had to use the bar sink. No soap or shampoo in the shower dispensers. Pillows were 1/2 the size of a standard pillow and lumpy, and we only had 4 tiny pillows - had to get more from front desk. Room and common areas need to be repainted. Blood on ceiling in 2nd floor hallway. Didn't look like the windows (plus window in hallway looking at pool) have ever been cleaned. Pool area: kids area not open and no water. Dust and dirt hanging from ducts and pipes on ceiling above. Ice machine and area behind machine on 2nd floor was filthy and unsanitary. Will not stay here again. Very disappointed. Expected much more from the Ramada brand. Didn't even stay the 2nd night, even though we couldn't get a refund since we booked thru Expedia.

Garbage in parking lot and surrounding area. Sinks, jacuzzi, and showers had tons of dirt and grime.

This hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. So down the road, I would anticipate better reviews. But I stayed two nights on a floor in which I was told renovations were complete. Renovations were neither complete and definitely post- renovation cleanup had not been completed. Paint or plaster spray was still remaining on the mirrors and vanity, white plaster debris was found up and down the entire red carpeted hallway and along the entire perimeter of my room (a crevice tool on a vacuum could’ve taken care of it ). A mini fridge and recliner were provided but just temporarily placed in the middle of the room while awaiting new furniture/appliances. The door had a hole where a peek hole should be, but only had a piece of rolled up paper, stuck in it to prevent someone outside the room from looking in. The moldings along the floor was still a work in progress. If you were hoping to use the hot tub or kiddie pool, you were out of luck. Both were closed for repairs I believe. The bedding and the new tiled entrance/bathroom were clean, and since I was renting a room to attend a function in the hotel conference room, I stayed. There’s an abundance of grab and go breakfast items, hot and cold, available. Complementary drink ticket per night and close parking was also a perk.

Not sure why it seemed like a good idea to staff to vacuum the hall a three am during our stay. The walls are paper thin. The shower soap dispensers are empty. The caulking is stripped. The paint on the walls are bubbling, while some spots are patched not finished. We made sure that we had all our belongings before check out and made the mistake of looking under the bed — it was filthy.

Room was not the cleanest

This property was a wreck. Bathroom was dirty. Walls were patched and painted over. Looked like mice were chewing into drywall in the bathroom (pics). Shower curtain was stained. Big gap under main room door so all sound from hallway could be heard. Pool was dirty looking - so much so we wouldn’t even go into the area. We were also overcharged for our pet (10lb dog). Instead of being charged for 2 nights, we were charged for 3. When I asked for a credit for the extra charge, I was charged and ADDITIONAL $30. Place is a scam and way overpriced.

The room was DIRTY.. dust & dirt around the room. The bathroom was dirty.. mold in the shower, dirt stained curtain liner, towels & rags had stains on them. Just overall, not a clean place to stay.

Bed was comfortable and it was fairly quiet. The WiFi was hard to use so we stopped using it.

The beds are comfortable although a bit high for short elderly people fairly decent breakfast with some hot options. there's a bit of dull highway traffic noise always. I may choose to stay another time but the price is higher than I care for

Recently remodeled inside - done ok but workmanship was questionable. Bed and room overall was comfortable - bathroom way too small when it is difficult to get in the bathroom and try and close the door due to the stool so close to the door. The hotel almost looks abandoned due to the outside lack of landscaping, weeds, etc. understand this is a work in progress however some steps could be taken to make the exterior more inviting - temporary planters with flowers - getting rid of weeds

The door to the bathroom should probably open out to the room rather than inward. The bathroom is so small when you opened the door you felt like you were going to fall into the toilet. It would have been nice to have a fresh roll of toilet paper, rather than one that was almost complete. The bed was so high, I had to jump up into it. I never could figure out the channels on the TV. On the plus side, the room was clean, bedbug free, close to an exit, making it easy to unload and load the car

Not as advertised!! Hot tub, kiddie pool and water slide out of order (long term). Restaurant on site does not exist (bar makes frozen pizzas). No working water fountain on site. Rooms are disgusting, fabric on couch and chairs caked with filth. Fire place had to be fiddled with to turn on. TV in room didn’t work. Wallpaper peeling from the walls. Sliding door to the bathroom didn’t close all the way. Door lock took 30-45 seconds to open and I had to get a replacement key twice.

Appears to be recently rennovated, ok. Room next door was blasting their TV all night but could hardly hear it so thats good.

Whole place is run down. Gentleman that checked us in was nice but accent made him a little hard to understand. Room was average at best. No Kleenex in room. Bathroom was so small the door came within 1/2 inch of toilet...had to squeeze between toilet and sink in order to close door. Hair in tub and on floor. Beds were hard and squeaky. Windows need to be replaced... Air leaking in and moisture inside in the morning. Odd dripping noise by the nightstand every 5-10 seconds -- water in the wall?? Right by your ear as you're trying to sleep...very annoying. Refrigerator when cycling was loud -- accentuated by the cabinet it was sitting in. Bathroom fan was so loud in not just our room, but every room. Was woken up at 5am to the floor and walls vibrating from the fan below us (we were on 2nd floor). Woman at counter in morning was rude and didn't seem to want to be there. Never asked how our stay was and had I not asked for my receipt (which she was a bit annoyed with the request) I don't think she would have even acknowledged me as I was dropping off the key cards. Would NOT recommend staying here unless there are no other options available.

Property is currently being remodeled. Finished areas look good, including rooms. Frequent unmanned front counter for long periods of time. If you needed help (such as pool towels) you eventually leave and do without. Front counter personnel appear to be doing many housekeeping duties.

We have stayed here before, and it always has been quiet which is our number one priority. Parking is very convenient and although the property is not the cleanest it is clean enough for us. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the complementary breakfast in the morning is about average but once again good enough. The price is more than competitive for the area - I believe it may get low reviews due to the cleanliness but it is more than adequate for our needs.

The bed was comfortable, the housekeeping staff walked in without knocking (got a surprise), garbage in the yard, bathroom had hair in the tub and sink, hot tub was nice, lots of remodeling noise, nice workout facility and the bar staff was the best! Thanks Charlie for making our weekend memorable!

Great place and very accommodating. Manager Debbie Underberg was there and checked me in. My request for an easy access was perfect. Highly recommend the Ramada in Waupaca Wi. Debbie was very helpful and a great asset to the Hotel!

The breakfast was OK; not the best but not the worst either. We would stay here again due to its proximity to the chain of lakes and its cost.

Hotel likes to book out rooms that have showers that dont work, then expect you to pick up and move to a different room. Please to room checks PRIOR to guest check in. They offered a new room but it was late in the evening after everthing was unpacked. They would not refund after inconvenience.

It was a pretty bad experience to be honest. My wife and two kids were in town for our annual family reunion in Weyauwega. When I booked, I booked a double queen bed room with jacuzzi tub. We arrived at 9:15pm on 9/8. When we checked in, we got put into a standard queen room. I tried to call the front desk, but didn’t get an answer. So I went back to the front desk and told them we got put in the wrong room. The lady at the front desk goes we do have a king/sofa sleeper w/tub arrangement. Initially I was like great, now we are cookin with oil. Well, when we got into the new room, there was an abundance of gnats in the room. We ended up just living with it, but this was one of our worst experiences we’ve had for $140 per night. Please look at the Comfort Inn and Suites. Heard nothing but good things after the fact.

Friendly staff to greet you and nice, comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend especially since it has a large indoor pool, gym and is across the street from the ice rink!

This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit waupac. It’s close to a beautiful state park and the chain o lakes. I love the fact the pool room stays open until 12am.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly, Shops on main street are nice but Not walking distance. Could use a walmart or something in town since Kmart went out.

Nice place. Spacious room. Comp drink a nice plus. Only negative is traffic noise.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really like the pool area with the hot tub and kids pool. Susan has the breakfast area stocked and clean. She is vary friendly and will brighte anyones days.

I absolutely love the lounge! It’s perfect for drinking without having to go anywhere! The only thing I would suggest is that the breakfast bar would be open longer. Otherwise it’s the perfect hotel to stay at and recommend!

Great breakfast! Super woman in charge of that makes the morning welcoming. I stay there everytime we go to Waupaca.

Very clean room. Well-decorated. Bed was comfortabe. Nice big screen TV. Great value! Very pleased. Continental breakfast was good. Waffles available, but no hot eggs/sausage etc. There is a bar on-site, but was closed on Monday and Tuesday nights, the two nights I was there.

It was an excellent value. We were there for a car show that was about 30 minutes away..The room itself was clean but the bathroon was need in some need of remodelind, i.e. the door was was warped and caught on the floor tile, the shower needed a scrubbing, it was stained and looked pretty scuzzy, but the beds were ok comfort wise. For $100 a night, with a free adult beverage each night and decent breakfast every morning, I was ok with everything being less than perfect

Ice machine not working. 30 minutes after breakfast opened and not very busy both the waffle mix and syrup were empty. Employee standing right next to me as the dribble was coming from the waffle mix. Her idea of helping was to push the handle as if that would make more appear. Place needs updating and it was very humid inside the hotel. Public bathrooms needed toilet paper and only one sink working. The other sink splashed water everywhere. It’s ok for a place to sleep
