Came from out of state for a funeral and had no water until just before check out. The pool was closed due to water isssue. No way to shower before the funeral. It’s my understanding it was due to flooding. I just wish there would have been some communication so we could have found an alternative. No one called and made us aware and no one even said anything at check in.

I purposely stayed here because of the exercise room. The equipment was not only rusted and terrible, the treadmill didn’t even work and was missing parts. The room wasn’t bad and the rate was very reasonable but if you want to work out do NOT stay here.

The pictures of the property showed a clear stream beside it; however, when we got there, it was muddy water. We went to use the exercise room and the treadmill was broken. The maintenance guy got it turned on, but it stopped me after running for 2 minutes. We restarted it and it did the same, stoped me after 2 minutes. We went to the pool. The water was a slimy film on your skin unsafe to swim in. Hotel staff did not have it closed.

It took 15 minutes to check in even though we had already reserved online. We get to the room and there are no towels or wash clothes in the room. I go to the front desk and ask for three towels and two wash clothes. My wife uses an extra towel for her hair. The guy at the desk told me there was a limit of two towels per room and refused to give me an extra one. I have never heard that in my life. Is there a shortage in the country of hotel towels? Then I went to get ice for the evening and of course the ice machine on our floor was broken. I finally found one working on another floor. The room was clean. No issues there. The next morning at 8:30 someone knocks on the door. I am in the bathroom getting dressed. After 10 seconds the door opens and the cleaning lady comes in the room. She said I was told it was empty. Once we get dressed I take my dog out for a walk and the cleaning lady asked me if I was ready to check out. I guess she wanted us gone so she could clean it early. The building is run down and needs attention. It served the purpose for one night but we would not stay there again.

The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The location was terrible though. I was staying by myself for work, and honestly quite scared to be there. The key card entry was broke off the side door and the door was kept open with the rug. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Overall it was a fine visit. It rained pretty hard the day we stayed and the entrance seemed to have flooded. Came in to standing water in the doorway and puddles inside the lobby. Card reader on the room door barely worked. Hot food at breakfast did not seem like it was cooked and hat day. It was very clean, the room itself was nice, and the bed was comfortable. Just small issues, really. Also, the staff was wonderful.

I have stayed in this hotel previously but this stay was not great. I was woken up by house keeping knocking on the door at 8 am when checkout is at 11 and I had gotten to sleep late so was sleeping in. I tell them I’m still in there and then an hour later they come back and knock on the door again. I told them once again that I was still in the room and they come back again a little after 10 knocking again. I understand wanting to get their job done but I was very tired and was trying to rest for my trip home. It felt like they were trying to rush me out and I even had the do no disturb flag on my door. Another issue I had was the bathtub and towels were very dirty.. grime buildup on the tub and the one large towel had a large brown stain on it. I’m a frequent at this hotel but this experience was awful.. I spent good money on the room just to be rushed out by housekeeping starting at 8am.

I expected better. The hallway looked as if it has never been vacuumed. The main bathroom in the lobby was so filthy that my husband refused to use it. Clods of mud tracked off everywhere in the lobby. In my room the nozzle in the tub was broken and the carpet was sticky. We ended up leaving. The only reason I rated it a 2 was the front desk staff was very nice. I'd skip this one if I were you.

The musty smell on the second floor and in 209 in particular was unbearable. It smelled of mold / mildew. We were unwilling to stay in that environment and immediately checked out. Austin at the front desk was very understanding and refunded our money without argument.

The property is usually clean and friendly. This time we were assigned a room that had not been cleaned ahead, there was no breakfast prepared to manage the number of overall guests, staff were short and rather rude when you asked about breakfast or pool towels.

Our room was very clean and on the back of the hotel so it was quiet, parking was great and it was a friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. TV initially didn't work but was fixed quickly. Door did not lock right but told the front desk and they notified maintenance. Very friendly. Good distance from walmart and not too far from Madison and Danville, which was where we needed to be during the day. Would definitely use again

The internet was horrible, the room was nice and clean. The only issue I had was that when we got there at 5:30pm they only had one room ready. Had to wait 3.5 hours for them to get a room ready while the manager sat in a chair. Will never stay here again.

The only thing was our air conditioner would blow hot then cold but my kids was asleep and didnt want to wake them but did let the front desk know at checkoit that its going hot and cold without being changed But always a great stay when we stay here

Hotel was very nice and so was the room but unfornately the 3rd floor was unbearably hot ac could not keep up with cooling our room and it was aweful.

When I arrived, there was no one at the desk. I waited for several minutes and finally called out, "Hello? Is anyone here?" I called the front desk four times and let it ring until it disconnected (30 rings?) -- I needed the wi-fi access code which was NOT POSTED ANYWHERE. I called multiple numbers on the website and was unable to reach a \'live\' person. I finally got dressed and went to the lobby. No one was at the desk (again), but one of the guests gave it to me. Why is the password not readily available?

Where do I start?!?! We checked in at 3pm was told they was giving us a double bed room instead of a king room. We agreed no problem. As soon as we got in the room and unloaded our stuff the phone rang and the front desk told us we had to move to a king room, which is what I reserved. Then at 1:39am the phone rings I answered and whoever was calling hung up. Then someone was trying to get in our room. I went to the door and asked if I could help whoever was outside our room trying to get in. They said it was their room and they had a key. I told them they was mistaken that we had been in the room since 3:30pm that day. I called the front desk and they asked me how I got in that room. I told them with a key of course. They said that they had no record of anyone in that room. I explained what happened earlier in the day and they hung up on me. When we checked out I explained what had happened and she stated she would find out what happened and I have yet to hear back from anyone with an apology or an explanation. Very disappointed with our stay.

Then at 1:39am the phone rings I answered and whoever was calling hung up. Then someone was trying to get in our room. I went to the door and asked if I could help whoever was outside our room trying to get in. They said it was their room and they had a key. I told them they was mistaken that we had been in the room since 3:30pm that day. I called the front desk and they asked me how I got in that room. I told them with a key of course. They said that they had no record of anyone in that room. I explained what happened earlier in the day and they hung up on me. When we checked out I explained what had happened and she stated she would find out what happened and I have yet to hear back from anyone with an apology or an explanation. Very disappointed with our stay.

Reserved 2 king rooms 2 weeks in advance. Rooms not ready until 9:09 pm. Hotel staff consisted of one flustered woman on her second day on the job and one housekeeper. Management of this hotel, Lake Norman Hospitality, is obviously incompetent.

I went to the hotel amd they told me they didnt have any rooms even though i had made a reservation. I had to stay at a different hotel in the area. Thank God they had a room or i would have not had a place to stay. Very unprofessional

The young lady at the front desk was polite, helpful and efficient. She was working at the front desk checking people in, doing laundry in the back room, making coffee and trying to fix the online reservation system which was incorrectly showing no available rooms. I didn’t see or hear any other employees so I assume she was doing everything herself. She was doing a great job and handled everything smoothly. I have stayed at this Best Western 12 times during the past 5 years. The front/main parking lot has always been this hotel’s biggest problem. The surface is dirt with some gravel and there’s some junk (empty wire spools, rusted poles, concrete blocks) taking up valuable parking space. And this evening when I checked in there was a large trailer/camper parked in the front lot. It was not attached to a tow vehicle and there was a 100’ extension cord running from the camper across the parking lot and plugged into a receptacle near the front door. There were 6 to 8 large trucks parked around the camper and maybe 8 to 10 guys inside the camper. Are they living there? I should have asked the young lady at the front desk about this . . .

Will most definitely stay again! Both ladies at the front desk were so accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and the AC worked wonderfully considering it was over 90° outside. Overall, the stay was very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend!

It took 15 minutes to check in even though we had already reserved online. We get to the room and there are no towels or wash clothes in the room. I go to the front desk and ask for three towels and two wash clothes. My wife uses an extra towel for her hair. The guy at the desk told me there was a limit of two towels per room and refused to give me an extra one. I have never heard that in my life. Is there a shortage in the country of hotel towels? Then I went to get ice for the evening and of course the ice machine on our floor was broken. I finally found one working on another floor. The room was clean. No issues there. The next morning at 8:30 someone knocks on the door. I am in the bathroom getting dressed. After 10 seconds the door opens and the cleaning lady comes in the room. She said I was told it was empty. Once we get dressed I take my dog out for a walk and the cleaning lady asked me if I was ready to check out. I guess she wanted us gone so she could clean it early. The building is run down and needs attention. It served the purpose for one night but we would not stay there again.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, roomy. Breakfast buffet was fresh and very clean. The woman in charge of it was always making sure everything was stocked, neat and tidy. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would stay there again.

Average hotel. No major concerns. Room was clean and appliances worked. Proximity to the Hatfield Mccoy trails was great and the primary reason we stayed/visited the area. Parking was adequate with our trailer and many other groups with trailers. Breakfast on the weekend was excellent; however, it was not very good during the week days. The scrambled eggs were just gross during the week, but the weekend omlets were awesome. The breakfast potatoes and sausage was all much better on the weekend than the weekday too. Not sure what happened there and what made the difference, but it was noticeable to both of us. Overall, I would stay again.

Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. TV initially didn't work but was fixed quickly. Door did not lock right but told the front desk and they notified maintenance. Very friendly. Good distance from walmart and not too far from Madison and Danville, which was where we needed to be during the day. Would definitely use again

The property is usually clean and friendly. This time we were assigned a room that had not been cleaned ahead, there was no breakfast prepared to manage the number of overall guests, staff were short and rather rude when you asked about breakfast or pool towels.

Overall it was a fine visit. It rained pretty hard the day we stayed and the entrance seemed to have flooded. Came in to standing water in the doorway and puddles inside the lobby. Card reader on the room door barely worked. Hot food at breakfast did not seem like it was cooked and hat day. It was very clean, the room itself was nice, and the bed was comfortable. Just small issues, really. Also, the staff was wonderful.

My stay was good. Which was recovered by the housekeeper who made things right. After my room being ignored for clean towels, garbage etc for 2 days of my stay. The housekeeper from first floor made things right. I will stay there again if I’m in the area again.

After entering our room preparing to shower we noticed no shampoo or conditioner available. After requesting these items we were given one tiny bottle of each for two people to share. The bottles were barely enough for my long hair much less a second person. We had to send a second request for a hair dryer. Unsatisfactory.

Very clean hotel and rooms. Everything in the room worked as it should and the breakfast was actually surprisingly plentiful. Will be back in the area I a month and will definitely be staying again.

First room AC not working ,moved to another room but told it would cost additional $15 .00 . The second room smelled musty , had a dehumidifier. Which was full ,we emptied twice in 8 hrs.we were there. BUT THE DESK CLECK ON THE AM SHIFT DID REFUND ME THE UPCHARGE ON THE ROOM. Not the best stay this time, this was the 4th. time staying there all the other times were fine

Staff was nice, rooms were nice and clean. The pool definitely needed worked. Went to swim and didn’t realized how dirty it was. With loose piles of hair, trash on tables, kids pool toys laying around. After 14 minutes in the pool, I got out and seen the slimy clear film on the top of the water.
