Hallway filthy. No security doors on the side, anyone could walk right in. Receptionist at front desk was a lovely lady and very friendly. Room itself very dated. Windows very dirty. We got a free breakfast vouchure but left the restaurant after waiting almost half an hour without any one taking our order.

A little gem in the middle of nowhere… nice and attentive staff and a good restaurant not fancy but good quality and better prices - we do smoke so discovering the casino with bar right next door was a great plus for us! Great bar service and nice atmosphere! We loved it!!!

On a road trip and needed a place to stay last minute. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. It was a Saturday night and they had live music, a bar and casino. Also a restaurant but i didn't have time to eat there. I give this place a 10 out of 10 for the price it is clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable that i overslept through my alarm haha. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

The whole place smelled of smoke including our non-smoking rooms. Found a dirty sock in our hotel room, so not sure how well they clean any of it. Didn’t help that I had some sort of allergic reaction to their bedding… lady at the front desk was nice.

The only good thing about there was a casino and a restaurant was on site they did not do continental breakfast the floors were dirty the hallways were dirty the rooms were not really that clean except for the beds when you walk across the carpet and your bare feet in the room they would turn black

I can only hope that for what they charged, the employee are given a bonus. I was there for 5 nights and my bed was only made up once. Others also complained about their rooms not being made up.

I guess you get what you pay for. It smelled like smoke and urine. A/C didn't work. There was a mint wrapper in the sheets. Definitely felt like it was a hotel you rent for a few hours. Tent camping in the mountains the last few days was definitely cleaner. I don't recommend this place unless You are desperate for a place. We would have camped again but our tent broke so we decided to get a hotel room.

I really liked the way they handled the free breakfast. They gave us a menu when we checked in. It had 4 meals to choose from, i.e., eggs,sausage& hash browns, or pancake sandwich, etc. We went into the restaurant, told them which meal we wanted and they served us a fresh cooked meal! Food & service was great! What I did not like was that the room had not been cleaned when we arrived. I called front desk. She offered refund but there were no other rooms in town so I requested it be cleaned. She came up immediately with clean bedding and apologized for the oversight. She was pleasant so I helped her make the beds. She replaced all the towels & toiletries. Luckily the previous tenants were neat so there was not a lot of garbage in the room. The condition of the room was fair, but the bathroom was poor. The shower looked old and like it hadn't been scrubbed in months. The toilet was clean and modern. But there was mold on the caulking on the floor & shower.

We had a very clean room on the second floor. Staff were exceptional and friendly. They even offered to carry our luggage up the stairs for us. Breakfast was great. They give you a coupon to use at the Lariat restaurant next door. We were there on a Saturday morning and the place was full of locals which is always a good thing. Servers were friendly, polite and warm and took great care of us. Food was great. Yes as some reviews indicate there is a heavy smoke smell in the area but our room was not effected. This was the best deal we encountered traveling from Florida to Seattle. Much better than two Harrahs we stayed at in Metropolis and Council Bluff. Also stayed at an over priced Comfort Suites in Missoula that had no hot water. Would not hesitate.

This one of the worst hotels i have ever booked. We wanted a non smoking room. We got a recently converted smoking room. There were cigarette burns on the rug and bed spread. The lamp over the table had mold on it the air vent had mold and cob web. Wall were dingy yellow and the room overall was gross. We left and booked a different hotel.

The older lady at the front desk was a sweetheart that’s the only good part about the stay. The room was freezing cold and the heat wouldn’t turn up or work at all and the water was room temp at best so couldn’t even have a warm shower to try and get slightly comfortable.

For the price it’s a decent place. It’s very dated. From way back in the day when smoking was allowed. All sorts of burns and such around. Could use a bit of a reno. The front desk people were nice and accommodating. The room was extremely outdated and sketchy. The bed was quite possibly the worst bed we’ve ever slept on and woke up with back and shoulder pain. We had a few friends stay in the same hotel and they all said the beds were awful for them as well. The attached restaurant was good and the casino was cool, but all-in-all we will not be staying here again.

The room given at check-in was nit the room I had reserved. I had put in the comments when booking I would have a pet. I booked the room from Fri.-Mon. nights. I had given my card at check-in for pet fees and deposit. At check- out they kept my deposit and charged me for Tues. night even though I checked out at 6:30 a.m. They refused to refund the deposit even though my dog made no messes nor chewed or broke anything. There were mouse traps in the room and bugs in the tub. Will never stay here again.

The room was cold. The weather has been hot earlier in the day and the temperature had dropped. I turned off the fan/air. Receptionist got me a blanket. She offered to bring it up to me and offered to help with my bag since it was upstairs. Slept great!

Very dated property. Theres no elevator. End of our hall way stairs near 281 was smelly like dog pee. My ac was cold, but couldnt run on high because the fan would start hitting something. Some folks had to repeatedly daily get their cards rekeyed. This is just a older well used hotel. Free breakfast with online reservations was plain but goid, eggs, bacon, hashbrown and toast-- Waffle- 2 pancakes, 2 eggs- oat meal- french toast. I was registered and paid to be there for 8 days, total price including taxes , divided out came to $170 a day. I was able to shorten my 8 day stay to 7. I went to the front office before the 11am check out time to check out a day early. I asked about a refund of the extra day. The office worker said they could not authorize one since i booked thru expedia, and for me to contact them. Which i did. They called the hotel to discuss the possibility of the refund. And the manager basically said no. Was very disappointed. If i ever am in Gillette again, I wont be staying at this hotel. Sorry. But thats how I Feel. Jimmy C

National 9 had it all, nice room, place to eat and a place to relax, easy on off hywy. Room was clean and comfortable, Staff was extremely helpful and very friendly Price was right!

I had a short stay. Bed was comfy. Staff was great. I can’t comment on the surrounding area as I arrived late and in rain. I was able to park right in front of the room. I would stay again!

The only good thing about there was a casino and a restaurant was on site they did not do continental breakfast the floors were dirty the hallways were dirty the rooms were not really that clean except for the beds when you walk across the carpet and your bare feet in the room they would turn black

Hallway filthy. No security doors on the side, anyone could walk right in. Receptionist at front desk was a lovely lady and very friendly. Room itself very dated. Windows very dirty. We got a free breakfast vouchure but left the restaurant after waiting almost half an hour without any one taking our order.

Overall it was an okay stay. Online said free breakfast. When we got there we were informed they didnt offer complimentary breakfast because they own the restaurant next door. Kinda a bummer bo doscount or anything at their restaurant for breakfast. Under the bed was kinda nasty. Front desk and staff were great.

The picturea on hotels.com must be very very old, nothing worked the TV, AC, frig, and room stunk badly. Shower and wastebasket were dirty. Only good part was tje cushioned toilet. The breakfast made me sock 20 monites after I ate. The bar service was awful

We had a very clean room on the second floor. Staff were exceptional and friendly. They even offered to carry our luggage up the stairs for us. Breakfast was great. They give you a coupon to use at the Lariat restaurant next door. We were there on a Saturday morning and the place was full of locals which is always a good thing. Servers were friendly, polite and warm and took great care of us. Food was great. Yes as some reviews indicate there is a heavy smoke smell in the area but our room was not effected. This was the best deal we encountered traveling from Florida to Seattle. Much better than two Harrahs we stayed at in Metropolis and Council Bluff. Also stayed at an over priced Comfort Suites in Missoula that had no hot water. Would not hesitate.

Also a restaurant but i didn't have time to eat there. I give this place a 10 out of 10 for the price it is clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable that i overslept through my alarm haha. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke, it made one of our party sick. The hot water was hot, but the cold wouldn’t turn on enough to balance it. The breakfast wasn’t bad, but the restaurant smelled like smoke also.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Absolutely terrible experience second time staying here. No one at the desk to check in, took forever for someone to come down. The lady was clueless on where my room was and I spent 15 minutes looking for it. Woke up freezing a few times in the night and in the morning went to look to turn the heat on but there was NO HEAT! There is a lot of neglect for the property with someone easy to fix. And the shower pressure was way to low and hot water turned off quickly.
