A fantastic experience! Stunningly beautiful hotel, best possible service from the butler Louise and all the other staff, and very interesting to learn about the history of the hotel!

Fabulous old world luxury. We had a lovely afternoon tea on the terrace. Soaked in the spa pool. Wandered the immaculate gardens. Had a world tour for breakfast. A lovely relaxed stay surrounded be helpful happy staff.

The building looks lovely and the grounds are beautiful BUT the room wasn’t great , the bathroom had an old shower curtain and the shower was above the bath. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was small and dark. it was my birthday and there was no mention of this even though my husband had given advanced information. The buffet and dining room looked spectacular but the food quality wasn’t what we were expecting given the visual wow factor. My least favourite hotel whilst staying in Sri Lanka.
