I can't ask for a more perfect 'holiday house' (as the kids call it) for our family than this one. Cute waterfront cottage with own jetty, comes with all the creatures comfort facilities. We love waking up to the beautiful view of sunrise greeted by pelicans. Great spot for some casual fishing, kids water plays, a playground 5 min walk down the road, a little bushwalk along the water, our kid loved every minute here. A home away from home for our little family.The experience was greatly enhanced by the wonderful host, always responsive. Thank you Hugh.Our family has been to this cute place a couple of times, we sure will be back again.

Property very nice, could not get closer to the water. Comfortable, good parking, close to boat ramp, great views over the water. Unfortunately the fish were very small. bit windy and choppy on the water. All in all a good time had by the CWGIFA.

Peaceful, serene location, surrounded by native bushland and with absolute waterfront views and private access to the lake and jetty. Charming lakeside cottage, with plenty of room for entertaining on the back deck, and a BBQ. We stayed for 2 nights and there were 3 adults and 2 children in our group. The front yard has plenty of room for car and boat parking, and a beautiful mango tree in the top corner, which was loaded with fruit (sadly, not quite ripe during our stay), and a nice, grassy shaded patch underneath, perfect for a picnic! The cottage is not air conditioned, but has fans and good air flow with the doors and windows open, but was very hot and humid on our arrival day - we were lucky to have a cool change which made our stay quite comfortable. I probably wouldn't stay again during mid-Winter or mid-Summer unless there was air conditioning added. A highlight of our stay was taking the kids fishing off the private jetty, and seeing them catch their very first fish ever! It was also very relaxing to sit on the deck and enjoy the waterfront view. The cottage furnishings are basic but cosy and welcoming. The shower is quite small and I have suggested that the shower curtain be replaced with a screen, but it is functional. The front door could also do with a screen door to allow for air flow whilst maintaining security and discouraging critters from visiting! A very relaxing and enjoyable stay overall. Such a beautiful location. The view from the back deck is sensational and the easy access to the water was perfect for launching our kayaks. The house is unostentatious but well equipped with everything you need to cook, relax and enjoy the serenity.

This place is in the list of top spots for our family weekends away. It is a very comfortable 3br cottage with all needed amenities, including a washing machine and a dish washer. Our little kids loved exploring the shallow water and the jetty, the local quite street and the playground just up the road. What a great relaxing family weekend. We could not ask for a better stay. The host Hugh was very informative, gave us all the info needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you Hugh, we are definitely coming back!

Small but adequate, Couldn't use DVD player which would have been nice to watch a family movie . Overall for the purpose of our getaway, it was perfect, a lovely walking track down near the park . And fishing of front jetty was a plus Great location

The house is just on the water in Sunshine - very quiet and beautiful outlook. Well appointed. While the VRBO on-line description does not explicitly state that there is no wi-fi or an air conditioning system - it would have been useful to know. During our stay the weather was very mild so the an air conditioning system wasn't needed - but the situation would definitely be different in the heat of a full summer.

Absolutely loved this spot. Was just what the soul needed to unwind and watch the boats float around with everything you need at your finger tips. When we couldn't find something the host was contactable and more than happy to answer our queries. Could not recommend this place more! Thanks so much Hugh the weekend was an absolute ripper. We will be back very soon!

Sunshine cottage was perfect for our family getaway. All the little details exceeded our expectations. The location and view is spectacular. The cottage has everything needed for a stay by the water and the hosts were helpful and flexible. We will be staying there again.

This place is in the list of top spots for our family weekends away. It is a very comfortable 3br cottage with all needed amenities, including a washing machine and a dish washer. Our little kids loved exploring the shallow water and the jetty, the local quite street and the playground just up the road. What a great relaxing family weekend. We could not ask for a better stay. The host Hugh was very informative, gave us all the info needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you Hugh, we are definitely coming back!

Property very nice, could not get closer to the water. Comfortable, good parking, close to boat ramp, great views over the water. Unfortunately the fish were very small. bit windy and choppy on the water. All in all a good time had by the CWGIFA.

A well kept 3 bedroom cabin with expansive views of Lake Macquarie. Quiet location great for getting away from the rat race. The house had everything you need for a very pleasant stay. Contact from the owners made arrival very smooth and we would definitely stay here again.

Such a beautiful location. The view from the back deck is sensational and the easy access to the water was perfect for launching our kayaks. The house is unostentatious but well equipped with everything you need to cook, relax and enjoy the serenity.

The location, right on the water was the best feature for us. If we come back to the club for another sailing regatta we will definitely stay there again!Hugh, the host was very accommodating advising that we could check out late as there was no other booking straight after us.
