Suite w/ Shared Pool, Free WiFi, Central AC - Step

Property was extremely clean and very well maintained. The location could not have been any better. The beach was approximately 150 feet from your front door and proximity to the village was two short blocks. The apartment was small and quaint but enough for two people. The pool was very chilly but I’m sure the hurricane knocked out the heater so my guess is the owners worked on getting the place ready to rent and another heater will be in the future. Very nice place.

To say the property is small is an understatement. There is not even enough room in the bedroom to leave out your suitcases. There is one small upright dresser in the bedroom. There are no rugs anywhere, leaving no break from the hard tile or a place to wipe off your feet before getting into bed. When we arrived there was a significant amount of water in the living room, which we later found out is a re-curring event. The owner of this unit owns the building and has had previous issues with this water leaking and still has not fixed it. The water continued to leak out of the wall throughout our week-long stay. The lock on the pool is an inconvenient keyed lock. It is difficult to open the way the key fits in. We had to keep the pool locked because several times multiple rowdy teenagers were found in the pool (which was right outside our doorway) who were not staying at the property. The location was great, but for the money, I would stay at another location which has the same beach access.

The Parrot Bay Cottages we're perfect for a few days away from home. Being steps from the ocean was exactly what we wanted. The small pool was a nice bonus.

My husband and I had a great time at the Parrot Bay Cottages. Located just steps from the beach, it was the perfect location to enjoy the sand and surf, while also being able to escape pop up storms quickly. The cottage is perfect for two people and very clean. The small pool was a nice bonus. The only negative was that the walls are thin and we could easily hear conversations next door. That being said, we would stay here again in a heart beat.

Everything was great! Literally 1 minute to beach and toes in sand. Newly remodeled! Shared pool. Walking distance to village 3 minutes great place for 2 people

We loved that the unit was on the ground floor and so close to the beach. When we realized there were no blankets in the unit, we texted Vacasa, and someone arrived shortly to deliver a blanket. Great customer service. There is no laundry service and they only provide four washcloths and four towels. If you’re staying more than a couple days, plan to bring extras, or schedule going to the laundromat into your vacation! We played at the beach during the day and hung out in the pool at night. Restaurants and shopping are just a short walk away. Our vehicle didn’t move the entire time we were there. Wonderful vacation!

Overall the house was wonderful but we had problems with the WiFi the entire trip and the tv as well which wasn’t a huge thing just a minor annoyance. The pool was nice, great distance to everything we wanted, we walked everywhere.

Absolutely love staying here. I’ve been here multiple times and I will continue to stay here! Quiet, the beach is steps away, cute pool! Everything is just simple and lovely!

Beautiful cottage with a spectacular view. Location could not have been any better for a last minute getaway. Cottage is less than 100ft from the beach. Pool is small and the water was HOT but we loved it. Very clean with only small amounts of dust here and there (blinds, kitchen wall next to the stove and under the couch). Kitchen amenities were VERY MINIMAL and the Pull out mattress on the couch was definitely not usable (even for kids) but the listing was clear enough about both that we planned to not do much cooking and we brought an air mattress for our kids which worked out great. Wifi had a very weak signal and only worked well in the living room area. Village was within walking distance so it was wonderful to drive up, park and not move until we left since parking in the area is sparce (but not impossible). All in all we loved our stay and can't wait to go back. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone!!

When we first checked in at 4:00, we loved it! The property was small but perfect and exactly what we needed! Amazing location. We went to check out the beach, then to get something to eat. Around 5:30, I received an email from Vacasa stating that there was an important change to my upcoming reservation and cottage # 3 will not be available due to a maintenance issue that they cannot remedy before my stay and that they do not have any other rental properties available in Siesta Key. I called the "Relocation Services Team" to let them know that it isn\'t an upcoming reservation, I was already there and had driven 9.5 hours to get there. Long story short, I ended up having to pack up all of our things and relocate to a property 45 minutes away at 10:30 pm, which completely ruined my trip, as I had already rented a golf cart for the few days we were going to be in Siesta Key, that I couldn\'t get my money back for and had booked a few activities in Siesta Key that were already paid for so I spent much of my vacation time driving back and forth from the new location back to Siesta Key. I was told that the issue was mold. We also saw a few roaches as we were packing up to leave.

Let\'s start off with the positive. This place location wise is PERFECT, literally steps to the beach and very close to "the village"\r This place has potential to be great, the negative: the smell (very old and musty) had to go buy air freshners to even be able to stay here. There was stuff falling off of the ceiling/walls we were having to constantly sweep (black speckled stuff). Moldy blinds, rust and dust on vents.\xa0 Towels/bedding did not smell good. The bed has a huge dip in the middle of it. We have decided to leave early since we simply are not having the best time and would rather be home. FYI the walls are very thin ans you will hear EVERYTHING the neighbors are doing (yes, exactly what you are thinking) We were attempting on our last day to go out to the beach and our lock on our door would not lock, the key would not go in to lock it. We were stuck just sitting in our room waiting to get ahold of someone. (Contacted the number and it took forever for someone to message back. THANK GOD FOR THE HOUSEKEEPER that was on site who actually attempted to help us and actually resolve the situation. People next door also said they were having trouble getting in as well) \r \r Multiple factors here did not let us sit back and enjoy out vacation. Do not waste your hard earned money here we were super disappointed.

When we arrived we thought the unit was charming and quaint. Location was great due to ease of beach access. We noticed a puddle inside the bedroom and assumed the cleaners spilled some mop water. We cleaned it up and began unpacking. As we unpacked it became apparent that water was accumulating on the floor again. After investigation, we found two spots on the ceiling where water was continuously dripping. The ceiling boards were very saturated. I contacted Vacasa assuming they would get someone over for the repair and we left the unit to go eat. While we were gone I communicated with Vacasa and VRBO and no one seemed to think the issue needed immediate attention. They assured me that the unit was due for “routine maintenance” the following day. After we returned to the unit we decided that we would get some pots out for the leak they didn’t want to fix and see if they would fix the issues the next day. That’s when it took a turn for the worse. I walked into the kitchen to find an adult cockroach on the counter. After killing it and cleaning up I began looking at the unit more closely and found 3 more and killed them. We then realized that there were a lot of tiny ones as well, and another large one crawled out from under the attached unit door. We rapidly packed and purchased an Uber to Sarasota. Between the leaking, mold, and cockroach infestation - book at your own risk. (I have photos and videos of this, and would have discussed it with the owner direct

Loved the location of this cottage. Close to the beach and the Village. It could have been cleaner. Dust under the couch and bathtub drain wasn’t draining properly.

We’ve stayed here 4 times now and the management and cleanliness of the unit continues to exceed expectations. The email and text comms were very helpful and left us feeling like someone was always accessible if ever anything came up. The place was very clean (spotless) when we arrived. We’re just steps from the beach so fixing a cup of coffee and walking outside enjoying the sunrise was effortless. Likewise, just a few more steps in the other direction and we are in the Village. Great stay as always and looking forward to coming back next year.

There is a German Cockroach infestation, they came out at night… crawling in the kitchen and bathroom. We had to buy the bug spray.

The location was perfect--the beach on one side, and the village with shops and restaurants on the other. We've been to Siesta Key for the past 3 years, and this was by far our favorite location. The property was very clean and exactly as described.

Charming suite located two steps from the beach. Easy access upon arrival. Very clean, well kept, comfortable furniture. Everything needed was there. Walking distance from restaurants and stores.

We arrived at our rental, opened the door and was taken back with the funky musty, mold and meldew smell of the place. There was no parking pass left for us in the unit. Called Vacasa and got the run around that we could write our own pass but no mention of anyone calling the towing company so our vehicle didn't get towed. Left and stayed elsewhere for the night because we were told local staff would bring a pass the next day. Came back and still no parking pass. It took 6 days before we were told that the tow company was instructed not to tow our vehicle. Multiple texts from numerous numbers about our stay but no resolution until after I asked to have the owner call me direct. Sofa was extremely uncomfortable. There was no instructions on how to use multiple remotes for tv and cable. Passive aggressive note posted about a/c not being turned down below 75 degrees or a/c would break/ freeze up and renter would be responsible. Sounds like the unit is on its last leg or needs refrigerate. Multiple broken beach chairs for everyone in the four units to share. Shower curtain needs to be replaced, looks like mold or black stains on it. Water was turned off from midnight to 8am. Next day I received a text at 11:30am explaining that a note should have been posted on our door explaining the boil order. There never was a note or any warning not to drink water or cook with it until after boiling. Blinds in living room would not go up or down. Fan in kitchen rattled whenever the wind kicked up and didn't stop unless we turned it on. I will never rent any property listed with Vacasa rentals again. This property had one thing going for it and that was location. It needs some work and a new property management company. Renters beware...

The location was great, we were steps away from a fabulous beach and a short walk to all of the shops and restaurants. The place was very clean and exactly what we were hoping for. The bed was comfortable, we were provided plenty of linens and amenities of the property were great. We will definitely be back!

Nice place but the TVs did not work. Turn our 4-day stay they never came to fix them. The keypad was very tricky to work. after a couple days though owners quit replying to my request.

We’ve stayed here several times and love it. Very small place, but perfect for two. Just steps from the beach. Only thing we would change is the allowance for a later check out than 10am.

The condo was great, truly. Perfect for my girlfriend and I. It is small, as stated, but has everything two people need. Definitely wouldn't put more in there. A couple minor things, they DO NOT take away from our experience. 1. There is a new condo building being built next door, the construction starts at sun rise and goes into the evening. Heavy machinery going the entire time. Just beware if you're not an early riser. 2. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in the shower were just full of water. No soap. Not a big deal, just funny. 3. Lots of biting flies around pool area. Bring bug spray! Otherwise, it's a great place. 5 stars! Practically on the beach and super close to the village.

Located just steps from the beach, it was the perfect location to enjoy the sand and surf, while also being able to escape pop up storms quickly. The cottage is perfect for two people and very clean. Cute small apartment steps away from a beautiful section of Siesta key beach. The bed was too firm for our liking but that’s just us. You can’t please everyone on a mattress. Nice small pool that no one was ever at during our stay with table, loungers and shade. The cooking supplies were lacking. We had one coffee cup. My huge issue was the AC situation. I saw reviews stating the AC was not cool enough for guests and of course there was a rebuttal from the management about the issue was a one off and rectified. I had concerns and called Vacasa. Vacasa was ? helpful in reaching out to the local property to get answers for me. I specifically asked if they placed a threshold on the thermostat because 70° was too hot for us. We were assured that the AC unit was fully functioning and there was no threshold on the thermostat. I specifically asked if we would be able to turn down to 65. My husband sleeps extremely hot and this is what we keep ours on. I explained if this was a problem, I understood but I needed to cancel. I was assured, we would be able to turn the thermostat to 65 and if there was an issue with the AC, they would rectify it. Fast forward to check in…. A passive aggressive note on thermostat stating do not turn below 75 during the day. The unit would freeze up and not work and you would be responsible for the repair on it. The thermostat had a lock out at 70° I called Vacasa. They were extremely responsive. A local host contacted me and said he would make a phone call to the owner of the unit. I was told that they have a lock out at 70° because that’s all the air conditioning unit can handle. Obviously frustrated because we are unpacked and settled with a weeks worth of food and who wants to spend vacation time searching for a new rental. This is absolutely unacceptable to me as I called and expressed specific concerns, asked, specific and direct questions and was clearly LIED to.

The property was very clean and big enough for the 2 of us. Contacting anyone for any questions or issues was simple and efficient. Close to the beech and easy walking distance to the stores and restaurants. Couple complaints is that the room has extremely thin walls and can hear everything especially if you have a neighbor next to you. If youre looking for a few downtime hours of quietness this is not the place for you. You hear everyones conversations as they walk by on the street etc.... TV situation is confusing if you dont know technology. If you wanted to watch tv on your downtime you have to stream your own apps and sign into them each day. Would i stay again? If the price was right...probaby.

Great location.We stayed in one of the lower units.When there were people staying above us it was very noisy.Place must not be very well insulated.I've stayed all over the village.Won't stay here again.

My husband and I were very excited to spend a nice couple of days in this property in a quick get away. What we weren’t told was that it would be surrounded by construction and that our stay would be interrupted by maintenance and updates to the property itself. On day one, a power wash company spent the day washing the entire property. On the day two and three a painting company crew sealed up our windows to paint the outside. Every morning we were waken up with the classic banging, drilling, and beeping of construction at 7am on the lot next to us. I’d like to clarify I appreciate the workers and that this company maintains their properties. What I consider a poor ethical business practices is; to be open to guests when work is being done to the place, not disclose the guests of they conditions they’ll experience, and to not offer refunds if the guest chooses to leave due to poor treatment during the stay. In short, Vacasa will not let you know of the happenings around and to the property that will most likely tarnish your stay. If they don’t tell you that, I am not sure what else they won’t disclose. Communication was quick and easy, but not when I spoke up about our dissatisfaction. We got a PR safe response and that “someone would be looking into it” and nothing else after that. If you’re still browsing through, I say look else where, this isn’t it.

Property was clean, cute and the perfect size for my husband and me! So close to the beach and restaurants...never had to drive anywhere during our 4 night stay! We would definitely book this place again!

To start, these units are fairly small. But, it really doesn't matter. It's in an awesome location, right next to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the village where all the restaraunts are. The area is also very quiet at night. There is a home under construction nearby, but it wasn't very loud. We loved it.

This location is ideal due to the short distance to the beach and is quiet compared to the other accesses to the beach. The walk to Siesta Key village is only 2-3 blocks away for shops and restaurants. We left just prior to the heavy Spring Break crowd.
