Needs updating

The staff was very helpful - and seeing somebody with a friendly, welcoming smile on their face when arriving at the front desk always makes a tired traveler feel better. The hotel is in a walking distance from the waterfront. A bonus is there is a grocery store next to it and a couple of chain restaurants around it.

I've stayed here many times and been quite satisfied. I suspect there must be some sort of construction going on and I was disappointed there was no mention either on the site or by the staff when checking in. The hallways and floors were dirty, I had holes in the drywall in the bathroom, needless to say surprised by the look compared to the many times I've comfortably been there. Bottom line is a heads up would have been appreciated.
