We loved where it was located and the underground parking was so appreciated in this cold temperatures and we felt the vehicle we protected. It was a great place and loved the breakfast.

When I first arrived there was not much parking outside due to an event happening. Once that cleared there was a lot of parking. The suite was clean. It took about 5 mins to get hot water to the shower but once it was there it was very hot. Overall good stay!

Front desk staff were excellent! Lobby was nice. Snack options beside front desk were nice. Disappointing that the pool was under renovation and was not clearly put on Expedia. (that I could see). Elevators are in bad shape and gave bad first impression. Rooms are clean but dark and gloomy. Beds are very hard. Hotel has potential but needs a makeover.

The staff were kind and quick to help. But they didnt pay much attention to what was missing, like the empty shampoo and no towels. Aswell as what was there from previous people, like food in the fridge. There were matresses standing in the hallway-which is unsafe, and the room wasnt very clean. My wife was bitten by a bug in the room. Please pay more attention when cleaning rooms🙏

The front desk gentleman at night was amazing very kind and funny. Daytime staff wasn't as chipper. Outside had alot of cigarette butts dirty and homeless people. The covers for the box spring were dirty. The payment was very inconvenient. Already paid through expedia but wanted my cc and tried to charge me different charges.

Staff is mediocre and will argue you for your license plate. Your key car may randomly get deactivated (probably due to a magnet) and you’ll have to go to the desk numerous times for them to reactivate. Surrounding area is a bit rough and hotel room cleanliness is below average.

Dirty hotel, bad rude service, small parking lot, homeless all around the hotel. Refused to stay there, actually booked a different hotel and left no refund was or voucher offered. Don't recommend at all.

I liked the reception, was treated well and the lady was efficient and nice. So far there is nothing i do not like. Bathroom and Room very clean. Even a separate mirror an wash table in the room. Very handy. Coffee in the room, and an extra voucher. For the lobby shop. I do not know why, but said thank you and accepted. 👌

We checked in late and the staff was considerate and allowed a late checkout! We appreciated that. The room was clean and the beds good. The air conditioning only went down to 17.5 degrees and we could not leave the fan on continuously. We like the noise and need it colder. But we would recommend this to others. If you need something they have a convenience store but the prices are outlandish.

Between no hot water, a clogged sink, and bass heavy kereoke from the restaurant below, there were some issues. There was however, very kind and warm staff who clearly did their best to mitigate some of the issues within their power.

This hotel is in a great location, close to Keyano Campus and easy to get to many shops, restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores. Property is older but rooms are clean and staff is very friendly!

As advertised. The room was as expected, with amenities as described. The buffet was ok... slightly less good than as expected as many days the food was luke warm or just not that good (and I did have hotel 'buffet included' expectations. However, the lady doing the service was fantastic. Super nice and always helpful. Would stay again if in the area.

This was a great hotel to stay at with our large family -- a room with two Queen size beds and a pullout couch is fabulous. We all enjoyed our stay and the great breakfast.

Very upset that there was no breakfast - the option is $10 credit for chips and drinks. Very unhealthy. The breakfast was an important option at the time of the selection. I even phoned the hotel. I was not informed the breakfast is not available anymore.

Hotel was in a nice location. Room was clean and the beds comfy. No breakfast and no coffee provided! There is a restaurant connected to the hotel, but it was closed. The sign stated it opened at 6:00 am , it was still closed at 8:00 am. Starbucks is walking distance. Also other restaurants within walking distance. Walmart and Canadian tire about a 10 minute walk.

Worst coffee I’ve ever had!! I usually like to make my coffee in my room in the morning. When I did it the first morning, it was so bad that I had to go down to the breakfast room for it- just as bad there. Fortunately, I did find a local cafe that opened at 6am.

Our stay at Merit hotel was great during AWG, staff was great, location was great, rooms are okay, just the carpet makes the room a little dark that all. Other than that great stay. Comfortable stay, clean and friendly. Breakfast was great as well. 2 adults and 1 child good for this hotel. No issue for us.

The room was clean, linen changed out regularly. The staff was very friendly. Note: if you're going to display flags out front, make sure they are not ratty and torn. It was disgraceful seeing the Canadian, Albertan and US flag, dirty, faded and torn.

We found it rather dirty. The parking lot was very dirty as well. The carpets need cleaning and the floors need a good scrubbing in the room. No bar soap for the bath and no shower soap. The second night we were there they had an event on the main floor. The loud base from the music meant we could not get to sleep until after midnight on the 3rd floor!! The beds were very comfortable and clean. Pillows were great! Would not stay there again and would not recommend to anyone else. Price was great.

Not bad overall, gas station and pizza place right across the street. Hotel is a good choice for short stays, price was not bad but check a couple times. I notice price changes by 20-25 a night depending on how you check and when.
